We stumbled upon this place as I was leaving RC Willys almost ready to give up hope. Thank god. Chad was knowledgeable, knew his inventory like the back of his hand, was polite, and knew how to work with tight spaces. That being said, the furniture speaks for itself too! There are no, " furniture sets" so put you're creative hat on, and enjoy Chad's company. I will close by saying this. The price was fair, the delivery was quick (no waiting for weeks to get your furniture), and the options plentiful, but not overwhelming. We will definitely be back.

When another couple walked in she said "excuse me while I help this couple, we run on a very short staff so we can pass on the discounts to you." She was so professional and "Honest." Some of the furniture on the floor room, was not what I was looking for, I wanted a little better quality, so they helped me shop through catalogs to buy inexpensive, quality furniture. I had always assumed Bassett was extremely expensive but I was pleasantly surprised! I have been to many of the high-end name stores in the treasure valley and their prices were two to three times the amount for the exact same furniture that Bassett sells. I wish I knew about them sooner! So far I've ordered six dining room chairs and a sectional and have plans to order a console, Ottoman and a coffee table from Bassett. I update this review to say our experiences with them in that role have been very good ones. SUCCESSFUL SALES Recycled room has sold every item we've consigned with them; from custom framed art work to Pottery Barn home accents to Buck's County purchased antique carts to high end brand custom upholstered furniture. As to the buyers who have reviewed this store to say price points are high, I chuckle in the context of realizing it is all perspective. As seller I'd say whomever bought the Mitchell Gold - Bob Williams Zondra knife edged pillow back and seat settee with the Kravet Couture upholstery on it that we had nearly $2,000 invested in at purchase six years ago and was nearly new for condition scored a great bargain at the under $300 sale price. Same for whomever bought the $250 lamp with shade for thirty bucks. Or the pair of custom upholstered, interior designer refurbished French country "one of a kind" arm chairs for about $150 each...that didn't even cover a fraction of the cost of the original fabrics alone. The list goes on. We are very happy the items sold. We hope buyers realize good values for the quality when they buy through Recycled Room. SUPPORTING A WELL RUN SMALL BUSINESS The fun of reselling items through Recycled Room is the people who run the store and work there are so nice to deal with. And we know our once loved but no longer a fit things are going to new homes with people who made the effort to shop (I hate shopping so it seems effort to me) and probably appreciate the 'find' (don't we all when it happens). Plus, we help support a small business that creates jobs for local people and is being well run and where pride of ownership shows. Here I'll admit we "cheated on" Recycled Room to consign a couple of designer furniture pieces at another store in the area when we were advised by local furniture store staff that this other resale store would deliver the highest sales price to us given their audience of buyers. Which may be true, our items did sell for a higher price than I imagine Recycled Room would have assigned to the furniture. But the other business was difficult to work with and their communication processes were poor. We are much happier sellers working with Recycled Room. Live and learn. This is our 'go to' place. THE DRILL If you want to consign here, the drill is provide photo(s) and description of your item and the owner will let you known if they can consign it and when they will have room in the store to do that. PICK - UP We got spoiled in our previous home that the local consignment place we worked with did free pick up. We haven't noticed any consignment places in the Boise area who offer that service. So if you're not delivering your own items, plan on adding the cost of transport to your cost of sale here, just like any other consignment place. The good news is the pick up guy they recommend has a reasonable rate (as example, $70 for a pair of upholstered arm chairs he picked up today) and he's typically available to pick up whenever it is you need him and a really nice guy to boot. I recently purchased new chairs from this location. The chairs were delivered assembled. All of…read morethem are really wobbly. One of them looks like it was used. The seat is faded and there's a stain on the arm rest. To add to this, I didn't appreciate the sales tactics used in the store. Our salesperson insisted that we buy the white glove delivery instead of assembling the chairs ourselves. I did not want this m, but was told that I could only buy them in increments of 2 if I did not want the delivery. Since we were buying 3 chairs, this was basically a requirement. So we paid $100 for this delivery which makes the fact that they are not in good condition even more frustrating. A tech is coming to fix or replace them. I will update this review based on the outcome of that visit. Update: I've changed my review from 1 to 3 stars. Ashley Furniture gave me a full refund for the three chairs. I didn't go higher for a couple reasons. First, I had to deliver the chairs myself to their warehouse which was pretty far away. I think they should have picked them up. I also still don't like the sales tactic of requiring the added cost of their assembly and delivery. I could have assembled them myself, but wasn't able to do that unless I ordered in increments of two. At least that's what the salesman said.

I've been a loyal Ashley customer for over 15 years -- starting with a mattress that lasted 10+…read moreyears. I recently purchased another mattress with a 90-day comfort guarantee that was explained to me in store. I followed every instruction, waited more than the 30-day break-in period, and then requested an exchange because the mattress caused severe back pain requiring a doctor visit. Despite the written guarantee, I was first told I couldn't exchange due to timing -- then given conflicting information by multiple reps. I submitted photos and proof online, received a claim number, and then was told someone had to inspect the mattress -- a requirement not disclosed in the paperwork and later denied by the manufacturer (Tempur-Pedic). Every call has resulted in confusion, delays, and promises of follow-up that never happen. I've been left with a mattress that harms my health, no resolution, and the prospect of waiting weeks for an exchange -- all while being told I must pay a $100 fee and any price difference. After 15+ years as a repeat customer, I will never shop here again and strongly caution others to understand the fine print: Ashley does not honor its own exchange policies, lacks clear communication, and makes recovery from a bad purchase unnecessarily painful.

Not only did he point us towards the exact couch we wanted but very patiently walked us through the various colors, options, as well as heped us pick out fabrics and colors of the accent pillows and ottoman too something we would have been totally lost doing ourselves. Never once did we feel as though we were being "sold", he listened exceptionally well, gave very appropriate suggestions when asked, was extremely patient, then when it came time to purchase was obviously well-versed in their system so it took much less time and effort than expected. The expected time to deliver was 8-10 weeks as it was a special order it arrived on-time, even the day it was to be delivered we recieved a call from the delivery guys asking if it was OK if they came earlier than expected, go figure! They were so nice and competent too. Even as we called many times to make sure things were on schedule he never once seemed "put off" rather he'd call us back right back with a very detailed and thorough update wtih exact details treating us as valued customers not someone who already paid and could be brushed off.
