We bought a new camper 2 months ago from Camping world in Harrisburg, Pa We had a few things that needed fixed and had to deal with Steve in the service department. He has the worst attitude and doesn't belong in a customer service position. This isn't based on just one experience and I know everyone has bad days. He's horrible every single time and unfortunately we've had to deal with him at least a half dozen times. He talks down to you and over talks you. Both are nothing but rude. I bought a used camper at CW Buford.They promised me Bob in service would give it a thorough going over. I loaded up headed to Dayton to get my brother. Just ahead of Helene. side mirror fell off, windows blew open I stopped to fix these and waded in water! The slide was pouring water !!!! I called and told them of the issues, but had to be in Albuquerque & Colorado Springs for a wedding.and made an apt when I would be back. I called many times to try and assure I got what I paid for and was promised I was in contact with Lucas, Justin and others in mgmt. Made it clear I am living in the RV and would need it back asap. called for appt prior presented list to service manager on return. 10 items missing, broken, or amiss, she "told what do expect, you bought a used rv. They kept it 18 days while I slept on my daughter's couch. Each item to check out , broken missing etc was $94.00. The slide didnt close because someone had removed the plug and there was no fluid in the seal. they wanted to CHARGE me $190. for the fluid!!!! I bought service and maintenance packages AND THEY WERE NOT GOOD for anything!! I was very unhappy and said I would trade up or down but I did not want to keep his lemon. Heard ZIP! I was furious at being lied to and basically cheated. I looked up who owned CW and called and spoke to asst to Marcus Limonis. I was directed to Skyler GM at Buford whom I Called and left messages per Marcus Limonis. The kicker was the second slide leaking during a rainstorm. Which means BOB and all his service team looked at/fixed nothing. I did rec a call from Timothy for Skylar late evening who kept saying bring it up. I told him it is my home, I have to have someone bring me home 75 miles thru Atlanta nowhere to stay while they kept it for 18 more days??? He did not listen to anything I said, just bring it up. I lost it. I called the bank next morning and told them I was overtaken by life issues and will not be making any more payments and the can come and pick it up. They repossessed it 16 January. The bank sold it for pennies on the dollar in February. I OWE $25,000. I sent a signature requested package of this horrible fiasco to Marcus Liminos, after long delay I received the post office receipt but nothing more. I am still fighting but as you can see, they DO NOT CARE!!!! SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THRU DEALING WITH CAMPING WORLD IN BUFORD, GEORGIA. Twice, two rounds, I attempted to be a customer by B2B. Their website is coded wrong and you cannot connect to the right location. After I wasted an afternoon, and was asked why I was flooding one locations inbox, I tried again. The second time I made sure to contact the correct 'camping world' by pre-selecting the location and contacting them directly through the website. They have it setup that even when you email the location, if the home location isn't set, they do not contact the correct location. I adjusted homebase each time and guess what. Same main location contacted me and not the others. Either the site is coded wrong or they have a virtual "bouncer" that won't allow you to contact the other sites in the quad-state area. read more

I contacted CW to get my RV heater repaired on 12/24/24 and paid $273.55. It worked for ONE WHOLE DAY!!! The repairmen had to come back to my RV anyway because they were supposed to repair the awning that was destroyed during a hurricane here in Jacksonville, FL. When the two men showed up in January 2025 to start replacing the awning, wouldn't you know they brought the WRONG ROLLER!! Hence, no work could be done concerning the awning! I told them that I almost froze to death because the "REPAIR" of my heater lasted just one day, which caused me to end up with pneumonia and then the hospital. They were very apologetic and said they would "fix it again." So, they "pretended" to fix it again and that fix lasted four days!!! Obviously, these men had no idea how to fix my heater, but I suppose it was better for them to just pretend they knew how to fix it rather than explain to their Manager that they had no idea how to fix an RV heater! LUCKY ME! As far as the awning is concerned, it could have been replaced in January 2025 had their repairmen been smart enough to order the right roller. It is now June 2025 and the awning has still not been replaced. It took writing a letter to Marcus Lemonis, the CEO, and copying my insurance company, Progressive, to finally get someone to take me seriously to get this job done. The local CW Manager also contacted me to find out when I wanted the awning installed. He seemed to be very concerned and apologetic about all the issues I had had to deal with. It turned out that there was a "kit" that no one seemed to know anything about for months that HAD TO BE ORDERED to replace the awning. I was finally advised of this in April 2025 by a gal named Kelly Mullis. I called and left a message for Ms. Mullis on 5/1/25 and asked that she order the "kit" so this job could finally be completed. I never heard from her and had to assume that she got my message and had ordered the "kit." Much to my chagrin, only after writing my letter did I find out that Ms. Mullis no longer worked at CW anymore so, naturally, the part went unordered! Additionally, I called CW in January 2025 to find out when they expected to replace my awning and the woman that answered the phone would not let me speak to anyone at CW until I paid $109. I tried to explain that I simply wanted to know when my awning was going to be replaced, but she wasn't about to let me speak to anyone until I paid the $109 RANSOM! What a RACKET! I'm surprised that they don't charge people just to walk in their stores and speak with one of their inept employees!! Also, even though some of their repairmen can't even repair an RV heater, CW refers to them as "ELITE TECHNICIANS!!" What a joke! Maybe that's just wishful thinking on their parts! I call them "UNEDUCATED STOOGES!" If you're planning on buying a Camper, RV or Fifth-Wheel, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T CONSIDER CAMPING WORLD. If you need repairs made on your Camper, RV or Fifth-Wheel, DO NOT CALL CAMPING WORLD. I consigned a 2021 Jayco Redhawk SE with Camping World in French Camp, CA on 4/19/24; the unit only had 3,692 miles on it. CW set the consignment price at $99,900, which was completely unrealistic considering the current RV market; worse, that price was $41,650 OVER what they offered me. The day after I dropped it off, the Store Manager (Larry) informed me that the side door entry lock was broken and the queen slide was inoperable. I know for a fact that the unit was in perfect condition when I delivered it to CW because I used the side entry door several times without any problem; someone working there jammed a key in the lock and broke it. I spoke to Stacey, the Service Writer and informed her to contact my extended warranty regarding the repairs, otherwise I would pay for them out-of-pocket. I gave her a copy of the warranty (Portfolio Protection); Hal Morgan witnessed this. Other than posting the RV on the CW website, no marketing plan was ever developed. I was never, at any time, apprised as to what was being done. After six weeks and not hearing anything from CW, I contacted the Purchasing Manager (Hal Morgan) and left a voicemail. No one returned my call, but the price was dropped to $89,900. No further price drops occurred during the remainder of the contract. Here's where it gets better . . On 6/03/24, the Title Clerk (Josie Cazares) processed a Transfer and Release of Liability through the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) essentially transferring ownership of my RV to CW. This was done without my knowledge or consent. On 7/03/24, she sent me a letter detailing the "mistake". I contacted her on 7/08/24, at which point she indicated that the "mistake" was due to "confusion" on her part and that she had subsequently notified DMV of the error. In the interim I contacted the Stacey, the Service Writer, as to the status of the repairs; she indicated that she would check with Parts to obtain a new lock. She also stated that the RV should have had a second battery installed to power the slide. I told her if that's what was needed, that she was authorized to install a second battery. I never heard anything further, even after checking back at least twice; there was no effort on her part to reach out and communicate with me at any time. I don't believe that she ever contacted Portfolio to obtain authorization, much less attempted to order a new lock. The Consignment Contract expired 7/19/24. When I went to pull the RV out, Larry, the Store Manager, informed me that they "weren't going to put any money into it" as far as the repairs. I told him that I had an extended warranty and in lieu of that, I had offered to pay for the repairs. Apparently, NONE of the repairs were done. NONE !! They had 90+ days and did nothing! When I spoke to Stacey, the Service Writer, she tried to put it back on me stating that I was "unsure" as to whether the RV needed a second battery; then, she tells me that they couldn't get into it because Hal Morgan, the Purchasing Manager had the keys. What a crock. Then I was told that Mr. Morgan had "retired" a week or so before. Why wasn't I informed of this? Why wasn't someone else assigned to monitor the consignment of my RV? I never heard from anything from anyone working at CW. The State of California (DMV) normally sends a registration renewal notice 90 days in advance which, for my RV is September. I contacted Larry, Store Manager, on Friday, August 9th, and advised him that I hadn't received the renewal. Josie Cazares, Title Clerk, stated that the paperwork to correct to correct the registration error was sent to DMV in June, however, when Larry checked with the DMV, the paperwork still hadn't been processed and there was no timeline as to when it would be. Larry informed me that this had also happened to several other clients. Then, I was told that I should contact DMV directly to fix "their error". On Monday, August 12, 2024, I went to the local DMV office to see if I could get the registration corrected. I waited in line for more than THREE HOURS, at which point, I was told that any documentation needed to be sent to DMV in Sacramento, California in order to correct the error. This entire experience has been a complete and total disaster. It's caused me nothing but grief and aggravation, not to mention, lost time trying to resolve the registration "error" due to their "confusion". Don't use CW for anything! Not a consignment. I purchased a 2023 Forest River Sunseeker 2350LE on 28 July 2023. Since my purchase it's spent more time in service than a RV Park I swear 25% of the mile on it are from the drive to and from the service dept. I've contacted Marcus's office and that recording "If your not happy I'm not happy is all BS. The motorhome is back in the shop again. For the cabinets falling apart, shower surround coming loose and a Crack in the ceiling. I've also made several complaints to forest river and now what they want to do is come get it drive it to the factory in Indiana piece it back together then drive it back to SE Alabama. I purchased a new RV and now the factory wants to piece it together. I'd never buy or recommend a forest river to anyone. I have 9 pages a total of 15 jobs for repairs. read more

Questionable Financial Practices I spoke with a member of Nashville, Tn.'s Camping World about buying my camper from me. They recommend placing it on consignment to get more money. It was a 60 day period and they sold it in a little over 2 weeks, I think! I really don't know for sure. The website showed a 'Deal Pending' status. I called and was told they were working a deal and would keep me posted. I then got a call from CW wanting to know if I could lower my financial portion to help the deal proceed. I agreed to drop the price $1000. The next day I got a call stating I needed to "pay down the $1000 on the lien to make the deal go through, they are trying to finalize it now." I had the money electronically transferred for immediate posting. I waited for a week with no information. I checked the website again which showed sale pending. I checked online for some info about the camper and found it, my camper for sale with another seller. The same pictures were even used that CW took and posted. I contacted them and they said a deal had been made but it would not be delivered until the following week's end. I pushed the issue about my portion of the money and was told not until it's delivered. I was transferred to finance who told me the camper had actually already been sold and delivered the previous week. The general manager stepped in and explained we I should be happy it sold so quickly. I said I was but needed my money. It was the money credited from a warranty company for almost $3000. It was supposed to come straight to me, but it had to be released to the lien holder first. I understood that and was told CW would get the check which would in turn be forwarded to me since they would maintain the selling price minus the warranty money. I kept checking to see if the balance had been paid, but it hadn't. The deal was over a week completed at this point. CW said they usually get a 10 day payoff and transfer the money electronically. Well the 10 time went past and still not paid with another payment. Ok'ing due, which I would be responsible for. I emailed the General Manager again, who did not respond, but the next day, which was over the 10 days to payoff, magically had been paid. The amount was less the exact amount I'm owed for the cancellation of the warranties. My wife called and was told they hold that money until the actual title is in their hands, then they cut me a check. Now remember, we've already been told the ENTIRE amount went to the lien holder, then to us. They have my money even though they said they would not. We called and asked for the GM, the finance manager our anyone else that could explain why I was not entitled to to my money that was from a warranty company, not the actual Leon holder that they had paid off. "We just don't do that according to Corporate Policy." If you decide to do business with this company, be prepared , because my experience has been nerve racking. I've learned my lesson though. I won't do business with CW ever again, and will tell everyone I know, the FACTUAL events they put us through. My Husband and I were so excited to get our first Camper for our 2 boys to start making memories... the fellow who did all of our paperwork somehow added several extra thousand dollars to our loan , told us we would be able to make changes at anytime, when we saw the final amount we were very confused and angry.. as we did not want to exceed a certain amount to finance .. purchased in April and now it's almost October and we're just getting attention because the vin numbers were incorrect on our contract which we never got a copy of ... it's been a absolute nightmare trying to get the insurance figured out to our loan holder...who also added an extra 5k .. makes us want to just return and deal with a company who cares about their customers..not a very happy camper.. hoping Rob at the Medford, Oregon Camping World can help us get what we're asking for, and make this a happy experience read more

I have been trying to sell my 2014 Forest River Class C RV...so the other day I had the bright idea to trade it in on camper van. Found one that I really liked at Camping world and started to talk to them about a trade in. They offered me 20K for my RV, when they have about 12 other 2014 Class C Rv's listed on their website for 60K. I called and spoke to the General Manager, Joe, and he told me in a very condescending manner that if I am so smart then why am I contacting them that I should just list my RV on RV trader and sell it that way. I do not believe that anyone should talk the way that he did do me....So I went to file a BBB report against them. IMAGINE this....they already have a F rating. I bought a camper May 25 of 24 out of Tulsa Oklahoma's Camping World® and they've had it more than I have still making payments. First camping trip we went out the door would not shut from the inside took it back to them. It took him a month and a half to get that fixed then we got it back and went out Labor Day And started toilet leaking and broke a mini blonde they had it close to half again so I bought a camper. We were first time buyers and did not know too much about pricing on campers. The price that they sold the camper to us for was about 10k more expensive than ANY OTHER PLACE as you can see in the pictures below! We could have purchased a camper literally from FL and had it shipped in for cheaper!!. When we found this out we called the store to see if they would make it right with us as we put TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS DOWN and the manager said " a deal is a deal there is nothing we are going to do now" Needless to say my husband is sick over this and will be having a meeting with his Commander to get this location black listed! The commander wants to let all military members know that this location will take you for a ride on their prices and claim they have "no wiggle room" and lie about other places not having "the same one" "on the lot" etc. what a mess! We were so excited about this and it was supposed to be a joyous time in our lives that has now been completely ruined by Camping World of Greenville. We are disgusted and absolutely shocked that they would take advantage of a young military couple this way and ANYONE for that matter! Take your business elsewhere this place is full of crooks. Absolutely unbelievable. The manager Sam Told me Mayok NC TAC RV wouldn't have the camper listed at 32k and that was a lie. I just got my bike in the mail and pumped up the back tire and it will not hold. I contacted customer care and they told me to ship it back or return it to the store. I do not live near a store or have a way to take it to be returned. I also don't have the box. The lady told me to break the bike down and return it. That is unacceptable. What a hassle to put it together after paying $50 for shipping after it says free shipping over $99. Then to brake it down and return the defective item you sold me. I want to just have the tire repair paid for. I can send a copy of the receipt . This has been the worst customer service I have ever had. And will be telling other's about the horrible experience. we were interested in upgrading to a new larger class A. After multiple attempts for them to bring one to the VA manassas site. The first one from Florida, but then we found out it had extensive damage along the bottom side by the compartments - we refused it and it was never transported. then they found second one again in Florida, but hurricane Milton was approaching, no one wanted to take the chance. Lastly they ID one in New Hampshire. looked promising. Dropped $1000 to transport. we brought our RV in for evaluation for trade in. They right on it and it's on its way. that was on10/11. We didn't hear anything until we called 10/19. There seemed to be an issue with check engine light. But it's working perfectly now. It was some spark plugs and wires. It took a week to fix that? Plus they were playing with the #. Saying one thing, but the ledger was different by over $10000. We said forget it. Now my wife went to pickup our RV and they're stalling. I purchased a new Keystone Montana HC from Camping World in Ashland Virginia 2 months ago. Once I returned to my home in Delaware and identified several deficiencies that needed repair; I scheduled an appointment with Camping World in Swedesboro New Jersey. On March 20 2023 I transported my camper to the noted Camping World service center. After meeting with service tech Fernando Pompa I was informed they would need my camper overnight. On March 21st I received a call from service tech Fernando Pompa who advised me of that my camper was damaged (photos attached) by an employee as he closed the overhead bay door on top of my camper causing significant damage to the front end. I was informed that The damage would require refinishing the front end, paint it, apply new decals. Fernando said because of this I need to bring my Camper up to the Swedesboro location and leave it as repairs will last approximately a week therefore I would have o drive back to Delaware which is 2-1/2 hour round trip and then return once repairs are completed; another 2-1/2 hours driving time totaling over 300 miles. It's disappointing to take your new camper to have service only to return home with a camper needing more work needed than when I dropped it off. Additionally this damage was done to my brand new camper that has not been on a single camping trip since I've only had it a couple of months. On top of that the cost for diesel because of the additional trips due to the carelessness of an employee. It's extremely disappointing that my new camper was damaged by the company I purchased it from but also the travel expense and time wasted is another disappointment and inconsiderate to say the least. read more

My Cougar Half-Ton has been in for 2 weeks! An electrical problem was found but not corrected. I was not informed of the defective inverter until I picked up the RV. I paid for the "diagnosis " and I am now waiting for the ok from my Good Sam extended warranty and a price for some molding issues. What should have been done: I should have been contacted and warranty claim should have been initiated and defective inverter should've been fixed. So easy but what it really came down to is a greedy corporation and a screw the customer attitude. Beware of doing business with Camping World. They give an impression of integrity and honesty but I know better now. I'll update when this whole mess concludes. Not looking very promising. Tried to sell our pop up camper to Camping World in Wauconda, IL. Given a price and told to bring it in. So we bring it in and they look it over. They deduct $2000 for "repairs." I was fine with that, but then told "we have too many pop ups on our lot so we can't offer you anything." I don't know why they bothered having me bring it in. Then said give them a few days and they'd see if another location would take or. So I wait 2 more days and I call and was told "the gym wasn't in so we'll get back to you. Later that day I get an email stating "we can't offer you anything so you can donate it or scrap it." That's not the point; if I wanted to donate it or scrap it I would've. You'd think they'd negotiate on good faith, but they didn't. It was a disappointment and hassle. Please take your business to a company with better communication and compassion. read more

Woodstock GA camping world did get back to me today and promised to process a refund. They did an hour or so after calling me. But I still don't see why it had to be such a drawn out process. How hard is it to say "oops, we made a mistake' and then fixit. Their attempt to justify it was infuriating. And if anyone from CW is reading this, be aware that the customer service in your service department also needs work. Of 4 calls I left for my contact, not one was ever returned. Camping World did a great job on repairing my fifth wheel that was involved in an accident. Took about three months but repair was complicated and time consuming. The reason for long time repair i feel was the availability of parts or lack off parts. Worked out however and looks perfect. Service writers Brain and Jaret were the best. I was in a very bad spot traveling to Texas and needed to make a return, Don't do it if I wasn't for the good Sam program I would puke!! Returns just changed 03/31/24 with no notice to customers and they said you won't know! But the receipt still says all returns unopened refund in 30 days and associates are still telling customers they can return for card/cash refund at any location! They will not give you your money they will hijack you return and put it on gift cards to trap your money with the company they're exact words from 3 locations I visited Colorado- Longmont and Texas-Lubbock Texas-New Braunfels location said this. Where to start Camping World customer service is absolutely terrible. We traded in our RV and purchased a new one. Ours was only 2 years old like new. Used our new trailer for the first time which was May we are now in October this was supposed to be New. We still haven't gotten it resolved. No calls, no return calls, we even went to Camping World in Hanover PA still nothing. We tell everyone we will NEVER buy a camper from them again and warn everyone we can. I created an online account, placed an order and then logged out of the account. I logged back in to verify my new account and order but it would not accept my password. I waited 48 hours, tried again and my password did not work. I attempted to reset my password but got an error message. I called customer service and am waiting for a tech to manually reset my password. The only reason I created the account in the first place is because the same thing happened to my husband, who completed all of the same steps above without a resolution. read more

I would never recommend any camping worlds in the northwest region especially Oregon locations. They do not resolve issues they cause them. Medford location did service work on my slide and caused severe damage to my floor and roof and cooperate and northwest regional manager Jim Botts says not going to fix it along with the cable they disabled thru out the coach. Then Eugene location Shelby Garner did work to fix damage by medford and some cosmetic repairs and shot nails thru the bathroom panel. Then after doing a horrific repair shot nails thru living room panel and said we didn't have the right size nails. Last Marcus Leumonis statement at every camping world is a fraudulent statement as I'm still not happy and they told me can't speak to him. Fo not give Camping World your money! Trust me. We have had nothing but problems from them. Our camper a brand new 2020 has had a broken ax the first day we got it. A leak. Underbelly sagging from the leak. Door lock broken and actually was trapped inside. I had to go out the emergency window! Now, we pulled to a campground for the first time and the electric leveling system won't work and the kitchen slides won't open. We are literally stranded staying at a friends house because we can't even use our rig. I contacted you with a complaint over 4 days ago. I received an email saying Josh would be in touch with me. As usual, and what seems to be your lack of customer care, we never heard from anyone. We are stranded at an rv park and of course tried to get help as we have a warranty on the piece of junk we spent 85,000.00 on and we were told sorry there is nothing we can do. It's difficult to even give them 1 star but it won't allow a review without at least 1 star but they are a negative 10 stars to me. I have fought with this company since my original RV purchase at Hamburg PA, which I flew from Alabama to purchase the RV I really wanted. They sold us a different unit than the one they sent us in the video. Then had issues on the way home with no one giving a crap to help us. Get home and take to the Camping World in Robertsdale with issue after issue up to an including leaving my stove on to leak gas while I am driving it, which could have blown up with me in it. Then I finally take it to a different company only to have to refix items that never were fixed when they had it and was told by the HQ customer rep that they would help with the items having to be redone and now can't even reach her. I used to be a fan of Marcus & The profit now I want to barf everytime I see or hear his name. He is NOT what is portrayed on the profit. I have never dealt with so many incompetent people in my life, as I have with Camping world in Fort Pierce Florida. I bought a 2016 Newmar from them 1 year after I had bought a Mercedes class 3 that I traded in because they had not fixed it as promised at the time of purchase. They said they were giving me a deal on the trade in because of the issues and awful experience with the first one. The Newmar had 3 issues 1. radio did not work, 2. one of the slide out awnings was broken 3.the engine would not charge the house batteries, promised they would have everything fixed within 2 weeks tops. 8 months have passed and the first two mechanics they sent 6 months later installed a new radio then tried fixing the charging issue and was going to install the awning which nothing was in the box they brought.(radio doesn't work and some how they disabled all the electrical you can't even open the slide outs) lol this was little over 2 months ago. Now there is nothing working in the rv we can't use it they don't respond to phone calls. then asked us to drop it off after they have ruined it. I don't think so, I would never see it again. The second mechanic was good he installed the awning but was not able to figure out what the other 2 guys did. So no camping for us. We bought our 2022 Keystone Premier 30RI at Camping World in Springfield. Illinois in April 2022. The drivers slide out roof has been leaking since July 2022. Camping World regaled the rubber piece and that didn't work. They have had our camper for over 3 weeks waiting for Keystone's approval to replace the roof. As the slide out roof has been leaking for the last 3 months, we are concerned about the OSB flooring and interior walls having water damage and mold/mildew growing. Camping World said we can trade our Premier in and they would transfer our down payment of $7,000 from the Premier plus the $6,000 on the Premier service contract to get is into a 2022 Keystone Outback 330RL that is located in Springfield, Illinois. After a week of working with the Sales Manager Blane, financial guy Patrick, plus their service department. Camping World said they could not remove the slide out carpet to see if there is water damage to the OSB flooring nor to the interior of the walls. They said it would cost us 3 hours of labor to find out. Plus Camping World said they would need $6,900 additional down payment for the bank to approve of our loan for the 2022 Keystone Outback 330RL. We understand things happen when the 2022 Keystone Premier 30RI slide out roof was not properly installed. All we want is to return this Premier travel trailer back in and get the Keystone Outback 330RL. It wasn't our fault of the slide out roof not being installed properly. We do not want to incur any health problems with mold and mildew growing inside the camper OSB flooring and interior walls. We do not want to take a chance of keeping the Premier even though Camping World says there is no damage to the OSB flooring. Camping World did not remove the carpet, interior walls, nor baseboards to determine if there is any water damage. Camping World said they would take care of us but with everything they have told us, how is that taking care of us? Our next step is to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office and hire an attorney to resolve this issue. read more
