If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. Absolutely, the worst customer service around. Started from the minute we hit the reception desk and ended when our calls weren't returned for weeks on end. If I could give you one piece of advise I'd say, RUN, don't walk away and never look back! read more

i would like to let everybody know how camping world and thor stands behind their products. purchased a 2019 thor challenger from day one we had water problems with the slides took it into a authorized dealer several times and then was told to take it to thor in indiana which we did. they had it last may for 2 weeks and then again in july for 4 months for the leaks and fire fly software problems that malfunctioned the air to heat and coach was up to 103* causing damaged to motorhome. took coach back to dealer in april and water leaks are still not fixed contacted thor and now they want me to bring it back in september that was the soonest also, being told that they are not going to pay to try to fix and will not pay for damages due to water leaks and pushed me over to camping world. got nothing but a run around for the last month. spoke to ryan the sales manager and he told me last week in the conversation that he agrees if they can't fix the water problems 1 or 3 times what makes them think they can fix it after 12 times. he was suppose to send me a text so i can send him pictures of the water sitting and the mold never got the text. spoke to corey shelton sales manager last thursday said ryan was not in until saturday so i started to talk to himm about the problem and he said i needed to talk to ryan. called ryan on monday said i didn't purchase the mh from grand rapids i purchased from srv in ohio. when i asked him what is srv and told him i have the bill of sale from grand rapids he couldn't find the paper work but knew that salesman was rob wetzel and also said he has the vin # if he has no paper work how did he know this information. he was suppose to call me back never did. talked to corey shelton (sales manager) that didn't want to get involved last week on tuesday and said he was going to send an email to me never received it but asked for his email which he gave to me and told me to put all the info down to him and he would get back to me yesterday after he got his emails in the morning. never heard from him called today and spoke to corey and he said they will not buy the mh back nor willl they fix it i would have to pay for the repairs. i told him after 11 times in the shop and one being for 4 months and you can check with thor for the history of the problems he didn't care and said that is how it is. i asked for the regional manager's name and phone # but refused to give it to me. he said he didn't know who he was he never worked with him before. i asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he will tell you the same thing. neither thor or camping world of grand rapids will take responsibility for this. thor tells me its camping world's problem they sign a paper saying the mh has been checked out and its ok when they get delivery of the rv's and camping world says its thor they manufactured it. in the meantime water is continuously coming in everytime it rains and is doing more damage to the coach besides having to clean moled off of ceiling. spoke to amanda at thor and she told me to throw a cover on it(boy that solves the problem). in the middle of converasation with corey shelton he hangs up. no resolution to the problem other then i can pay to have it fixed. if they couldn'g fix it all the times prior why should i pay for it now when it was a continuous problem when it still was under warranty. this has been going on for 3 years. beware do not buy anything from camping world or thor. read more

After being given a quote for parts to be installed on my truck, pushing $ 3000.00 I said ok. A month later when said parts are finally on the truck, I paid the exact amount of the quote and left the store. End of story, oh no! The next day I get a call from a very nice lady saying I still owe them for some Happy Jack parts that they installed and forgot to charge installation fees for. No there were never any Happy Jack parts ordered or installed on my truck. Then they decided it was parts from the original quote that they had forgotten to charge installation fees. Long story short I ended up paying $198.00 more than the original quote, good scam, quote them one price charge them another after the installation. I've done business here when it was American R V and as Camping World , but this overall experience with ordering, quotes and getting service scheduling, makes it unlikely I will darken their door again. Spend your money somewhere else. Mistakes happen, but you should not have to eat theirs. read more

Full seven days to get them from a store an hour away. NICS got "delayed" which is pretty common here, so I called to try and check the status after a week and after being hung up on before even answering by customer service, the guy who finally answered spoke like he hated having to work at all, and basically said it could take 30 days so there's no point in calling for a status update. Gun counter wouldn't even answer. 30 days to just hope I get a call about taking possession of my $1000 purchase. Incredible waste of time for overpriced products and rude customer service. This is one store our area could do without.

This is not good. On Monday, I called Newmar to find an Authorized Dealer. They suggested I call Midway RV in Grand Rapids... only an hour away and it's in the direction we were traveling anyway. Yeaaaa !! The Service staff were very friendly, and helpful. Scheduling with Dave, the Service Mgr, was pleasant. He said... I can't get you in at all today.. (Monday), but probably Tuesday morning, if you can be here by 8:30 AM. I said "Certainly". I then asked if they had room for us to "park & plug-in". Dave said "yes!". Perfect, we will see you about noon today !! We drove up Monday, parked & plugged in, very thankfully. Early Tuesday morning , they had us in and work was completed by 12:00 noon. They inspected both plates and fixed them !! And, we were back on the road feeling sooooooo pleased. Though we were not there to buy an RV.... I would certainly recommend them for RV Service.

Back in June we bought a brand néw 2020 5th wheel. Our sales man was Keith he did a great job but they sold us a different camper than we looked at the day before. It was cold and raining the next day we went to sign paper said it was the same. We after getting it home we seen damage to back bedroom door and slide was closed when door was open the wall paper and seems are peeling up. The exhaust for the front bathroom pile was cut and smelt like sewer. Trim was falling down, Half wasn't even finishing in bathrooms or kitchen. frig in outside wasn't even put in correctly and door won't even open and can't move selfs. Bolts coming out of wall where you pull burner out. Nothing sealed in front and under compartment could see daylight through the legs.And so much more!!! Reminder this was brand new!?!? If I could I would return and ask for a different one I would!! that's a lot of money to be dealing with so many issues!! Took in back in in July had for 2 weeks tried fixing some wall paper issue and now have broken trim and they told me they had to order some parts now it's the end of September no call camper is not fixed and I'm am beside myself have called left messages and no return call!!!! We purchased a quality Camco RV cover for our 30' travel trailer from Camping World in 2019 (retail price $649.99) . We live in Michigan and the the cover came with a 3 yr warranty. Recently we contacted Camping World that one of the straps frayed and broke along with a few other wear issues. We received a prompt reply back. The warranty process was not complex as they only required a copy of the receipt (which a Grand Rapids store reprinted from our Good Sam's account for us since we could not find the original receipt), pictures of the damage, and a picture of the manufacturers tag. The same day we sent in the required documentation we received notification that we would be getting a new Pro-Tec cover. The cover arrived yesterday, less than a week later. Cannot say enough good things about Camping World in general. Their staff are always helpful and friendly (shout out to store in both GR and Houghton Lake). We highly recommend Camping World and their Good Sam's program. read more

Good morning Camping World and Jennifer Trafforf, My wife and myself want to extend our GREAT SATISFACTION with Jennifer. Her involvement with the customer is way beyound her pay grade. When we have a question, she is on top of getting back to us. We bought a new Dutchmen Atlas 21DS 2018, carry over, because of the great price. Needless to say there was some items that needed reviewed and replaced. Well Jennifer, always on her "A" game took charge and keeps us posted. we are not picking our new camper till March, so this gives Jennifer time to resolve the issues. I have had several service encounters with Camping World of Grand Rapids over the past two years. They have provided multiple services to assist in making my travel trailer safe and comfortable. Both Service and Parts Departments have gone above and beyond to make my experience positive. I am always scheduled for service quickly and when leaving a message I can always count on a prompt call back. A very special special shout out to Todd (service advisor), Hank (service technician) and Jessica and Heather (parts) for their extra special assistance! I can't not praise Grand Rapids Camping World enough! Kenny in sales and the complete sales team did an amazing job! They found what we wanted and gave us a good deal including on our trade in. Our new 5th wheel was clean and ready for us when we arrive. Heather was able to locate the correct hitch for our truck and it was there in 12 hours and ready to be installed! Tyler and Kenny went out of their way to help us transfer our items from our old trailer into the new one including a washer and dryer. They where all amazing, from beginning to end! Be careful what you purchase from this location. The quality of what they sell is very low end. When you need service they don't have time in there schedule to get you in and everything takes 2-3 trips to get fixed. They are nice about it but seem to be incompetent on purpose. They have a laundry list of excuses as to why they can not fix something correctly. They have only been under camping worlds ownership for about 10 months. I don't know about other locations but I strongly suggest you do not purchase anything from this location. read more

I purchased a Furrion dishwasher from Camping World online. Unfortunately, when it arrived there was a dent in the stainless steel front. I called the local Camping World in Grand Rapids, and spoke with Jessica. To my delight, and astonishment, she said they would order a replacement and swap it out for me! The replacement arrived in a week, and Paul helped me unload the damaged unit, and load the replacement into my vehicle. They could not have been more helpful or pleasant! read more
