I was hoping this day would eventually come. The day where my family and I would start wanting to get outdoors more and start enjoying nature. We were tired of sitting around the house trying to figure out what to do with our weekends. Our first stop in squashing this problem? Camping World. We chose this location because they have the largest inventory around. I first spoke with Camille over the phone and I could instantly tell that this would be a pleasant transaction. She's so down to earth and not pushy at all. In fact, during the entire transaction I never felt like we were being forced to do anything. The first camper we looked at was listed at an amazing price, but really showed its age. It needed a lot of work, which I was assured that they would be willing to do to make the deal. My wife and I just weren't feeling it, so we moved on. Again, no pressure at all from Camille. We were about to leave when we spotted it. A 2014 Keystone Passport. It was perfect. My wife and I decided not to buy that day because we had errands to run, but Camille made sure that camper was going to be ours. After a couple of days and a little back and forth on the phone with Camille and Sean the Sales Manager, we came to an agreement and took delivery of our new camper about a week ago now. They were willing to stay open a couple of hours after they closed to close the deal and send us home with the camper that day. The Camping World store at this location is like a mini Bass Pro Shops. It's pretty large in comparison to other Camping Worlds. They have anything and everything you can ever want or need for camping. It's awesome! At the end of the day I absolutely love this Camping World location and would use them again in a heartbeat. I just wish they were closer to home. Hope to see all you fellow Yelp campers out there! DON'T go here. There is so much more to choose from along the highway. Todd in part is very nice, but that is the only thing this place has going for them. We bought a 2 chairs and an armrest insert. When I went back to see how things were going for the install, the technician was shoving the seat bottom through the door. I asked him to remove a and rail that was in the way. He didn't pull the seat back out just left it squished in the door while he removed the top part of the hand rail, then he kept pushing the seat base. That still did not work, so he finally unhooked the bottom part of the handrail and scratched the wall scratch the cabinet and scratch the other wall. I told my salesman about the scratches and he did not say anything to compensate or to take care of the problem. I asked that he have his manager contact me and I have made three phone calls without any return call. Upon further inspection the whole reason why we purchased the chairs is because they recline, well since he was pushing the base through the door he unhook the cable for the leveler that opens the chair for the footrest to extend. Then we noticed the center armrest has hooks at the very bottom it was not needed for the setup, he could have taking those off so they do not puncture a hole in the side of my seat, to me it is common sense. We live 2 1/2 hours away from this location and now we will have to spend a total of eight hours not only of our time but driving back-and-forth to rectify this issue and deal with repainting and repairing the walls The technician damaged. When you go to camping world you expect quality this experience was far from it. It is unfortunate that a big name as such little quality. If I had not gone outside to see the progress I would have never seen how he was squishing the cushion through the door. Very disappointed. We own a class A Diesel pusher 36 feet, it seems they would want to take care of the future customer but I will not be their future customer. If this is what I am to expect from Service. read more

We bought our Fox River, Gray Wolf RV on 6/15/17. During the checklist inspection, they said our door had to be replaced!!! In front of the Salesman, Dave Pence and Service Manager, Mike Doyle. We have taken it in 3 times, since then for this and other minor repairs. NOTHING resolved! We paid almost 4,000 more for an additional warranty to cover wheels to roof. Does not matter. Left it there from 8/2 to 8/17. Twice stated that we needed to pick up at 1:00 p.m. Our tow hitch clip was missing. They had to go to LazyDays and buy one. The wood footings my husband had drilled together to stabalize the hitch, missing. Finally found, just as we were about to leave AT 3:00 p.m. Service after the sale is non existent. Love our RV, but would never by ANYTHING again at Camping World. Had a Dometic A/C unit installed on top of a conversion van 6 months ago. in the middle of our first week long trip and are having to have it repaired as they left in the fan mount screws laying loose in the bottom of the unit and the unit stopped working. Sloppy interior installation as well. We were told it is very difficult to find anyone to do this kind of install but that the work was shoddy. read more

Terrible customer service, sales will promise you anything to seal the deal, and of course, never deliver on their promises. delivery was awful, anything that was going to be done before delivery was not. Service is the worst, they display a "who cares" attitude. They act like they are doing you a favor, not their jobs. Don't bother asking for a manager to resolve any issues, they will most likely be in a meeting, and will get to you when they have the opportunity. Our experience with this dealership has been extremely negative. We purchased a fifth wheel new in late July 2020. At time of purchase, we identified a needed repair and the technician photographed the issue, saying that the part would be repaired once received from the factory.Now, six months later after numerous phone calls both to camping world Tampa and G ood Sam corporate we still have not had a resolution of the problem. i would give a zero if i could. bought a 2019 wildwood on sat jan 7 2023. once we pulled out of the lot the back passenger taillight cover fell off and broke. got to the property and notice the black water tank showing full. feces!!! that is f nasty disgusting and unacceptable. on tue jan 10th 2023 we tried the passenger slide out an it wouldn't retract. also notice the center island is not secure. called for assistance and basically told oh well as is you have to pay for diagnostic then whatever to fix. are you mf serious. i get as is however you as a company signed saying the tanks were all flushed out and they were not which is illegal. 2nd it not like this happen weeks later it 4 flipping days but i c this is how you treat customers you screw them over. to easy. i got one word for you lawyer. c u in court. do not go to this place unless you want to be f over. 20k and already have to pay to fix shit no acceptable camping world. not acceptable miles mcdonald. not acceptable to the b**** i talk to that said as is and hung up. i got you read more

We spent most of a day shopping for RVs at the 3 dealerships in this area. This is a review ONLY for the experience of shopping and the sales staff we worked with, NOT for service or actual purchasing. Here are the things that stuck out to me: Our salesman was a really nice guy, he drove us around EVEN IN THE RAIN, even though we said we were just getting started on this RV journey. He gave us a lot of education throughout the hour or so we spent together which we were really appreciative of. Our salesman was retired military. Another guy was a Lions fan. Overall they seemed relaxed and happy to be at work, not like they were only there to push sales. There is a huge accessory store here too, and it sells just about everything you could need from appliances to little gadgets for the kitchen (like collapsible colanders). FREE popcorn. HOT HOT HOT it will burn you (that's what the sign says) free popcorn. Free hot beverages. Large selection of new RVs in all sizes and trim/quality levels. There are multiple lots. Not a huge selection of used RVs, but there are some, and they were cleaned up really nice. When you buy an RV here, you get a membership to all the Camping Worlds all across the USA, which is kind of cool. Our salesman said you can camp at them for free. You also get discounts on the products in the store. So anyhow, in terms of our initial visit we had a very pleasant experience. I'd especially recommend it if you're a beginner to RVing (my boyfriend is but I had a vintage trailer in my 20s) because the education may prevent you from missing out on a feature you'll really like to have...or blowing money on something you just don't need. read more

I bought a 2017 Coleman three months ago. I took it out once and the shower was leaking and I found some other minor problems with it. It's been in the service department at Camping World for 2 months now and they keep telling they are waiting on parts from the manufacturer. I'm getting the run-around..... Spent six months looking and reviewing travel trailers to purchase. Went to Camping World in Tampa on McIntosh Rd and Holiday along with their competitors. Tracie Trainham was the sales representative we made contact with that was setup for us to meet. Tracie showed us everything we wanted to see and helped us make sure they had everything we needed and wanted. We selected a Keystone Bullet UltraLite 287QBS. We went to sign the financing and everything Mar 23 2019. We received a trailer orientation and sway bar installation then met with Steve in Finance. Tracie told us it would take three hours and it really did. Talk about time management and we never felt rushed. Way to go. read more

If I could pick zero stars I would. This place is an absolute nightmare to work with. They bent over backwards to make sure they got their sale which we thought was great! Except we bought the camper at the end of June, went camping one time over the Forth of July and, had to return it for minor cosmetic repairs. They have had our BRAND NEW 2021 camper for almot THREE months now. The last phone call we had was from Tabitha two weeks ago! When my husband spoke with her, she told him that our camper just needed to go to detail. How long does it take to detail a 32 foot camper? We have had reservations to take a trip to Georgia for two months now. We leave Monday! My husband has called multiple times with no luck to speak with anyone who could give us answers so he has left message after message with not a single return call from ANYONE! He called again this morning and asked for the Service Manager, left another message, with no response, of course. So he called in the afternoon asking to speak to the General Manager and was told he was off on Thursday's. So he asked to speak with Jacqueline who is the customer service representative who he last spoke with and is the ONLY person who has returned our calls. So now we have no camper and no contact with anyone at camping world. Can you imagine how we feel at this point? I am beyond words! Since leaving a YELP review is the only way to get a response from this company, (after the GM responded to my compliment on this page) I WANT MY BRAND NEW, 2021 CAMPER BACK NOW!! We will never use this place again, not for repairs, not for anything. Mr. Good if you want to speak to us, please call my husband his number is on file. As for everyone else, if you find camping as relaxing as we do, DO NOT use this company for your camping needs! Tampa and Ocala Camping World have the WORST customer service ever. We visited Tampa a few weeks ago and left with a bad taste and hoped Ocala would be different. We were wrong! The sales women had a 100 questions and a "form" to fill out before we even step foot into a RV. After letting them know that we were only interested in looking at RV's she pretty much told us to "go look" on our own. We were looking for a bunk house which are hard to find so the last thing we wanted to do was have to go inside everyone to find a bunkhouse. She actually threw her pen down due to us not wanting to sit in and office and fill out forms. We will not be returning to ANY Camping World to purchase or have the RV, that we will be purchasing, worked on. read more

We have been travel trailer shopping for quite some time (we finally found one), but this place was the one place I did not enjoy. Our sales person was wonderful, however subjecting me to country music the entire time I am there is unacceptable. A variety is ok, but I couldn't wait to leave. If we had found the perfect trailer there I would have told them if they want a sale change the station. Now I know this sounds trite and petty, but I have personal reasons. Spent 5 hrs with a salesman , 8hrs when we picked our 5th wheel up rushed thru delivery they closed it up real quick got it to our lot finding the slides crushed a ceiling fan and now I've found our holding tanks are leaking no wonder they ran us threw so fast !! read more

We traveled in our motorhome from California to Florida seeing baseball parks along the way. Going from the Miami area to Tampa, our electrical stopped working, and with the heat and humidity, we were suffering. Found the Camping World near Tampa, and got the best customer service we could have hoped for from Michael Clifford in Service. Although swamped with work, they were able to find and fix the problem (a short in the surge protector/burned wires). We were able to continue on our trip, and everything has worked perfectly since. I bought a 5th wheel there. Told the salesman I wanted a new one with a warranty. They slipped me a new"used" one, with no warranty. All the time telling me I had a warranty. Didn't realize it until I need some repair work and drove there. Found out they no longer serviced that brand and that I didn't have a warranty after I had to drive another hour to Brandon. The salesman, sales manager and finance manager all lied to me. I refuse to do any business with Camping World now. And I need to buy thousands of dollars of supplies to get ready to go traveling. None of my money will ever go to Camping World. Terrible customer service and no integrity. read more

Good repair service. Service advisor Ms. Lori Czizik is competent, helpful and treats you like valuable customer. Repairs were competently performed. At checkout another problem surfaced and was handled promptly and with grace. The coach delivery was on time and came out washed and detailed :-) My past experiences with other Camping World locations have been a mixed bag - good selection and price on accessories, coach service has been generally poor. BEWARE! I do hold a post degree in communication and have taught a lot of business students but this store and company you should stay away! We found a used unit online. Talked to James several times on several days via phone and text message, and were always assured the unit had no soft spots or water damage. We made clear it was important to us because of sensitive kids with medical conditions. James knew my husband would drive 9 hours to come get it. When he arrived he was greeted by a shopping cart with our name and a congrats sign on it. General, who showed him the unit was great as well. Everything looked ok, the grill was missing, but James said we would get one. The last place to check was the bedroom and it had a big area of water damage over the bed and inside the cabinets there was also delamination. Even the flooring had signs of water damage. James said he had no idea. James, next time when a costumer asks about this over and over again, go check the unit thoroughly! Should be common sense! They called Service and apparently, they were aware of these issues as they had already tried to fix the leak on the roof. Chris, the sales manager was not very nice and told us that this was "normal". I told him my family has owned trailers for over 40 years and it was never an issue - then he got silent. James offered us a different used unit which was smaller, and he said it had only cosmetic damage. When looking at pics of it, the upper bunk was missing. That is not cosmetic! He knew we have 3 kids and need a full bunk. We saw a similar one to the one we had originally bought on the lot. Their asking price for this used unit was 33.000$, compared to 24.199$-27.500$ that the unit is sold NEW in our area. When provided pics of those dealers James said they were not correct. He also told us that he had sold 18 units this month that went smooth, and we were the only one with issues. By that time he tried playing the victim and shaming us. That is NOT how you treat costumers! We called the number for unsatisfied costumers, which according to the poster in the entry area is the CEOs office - turns out it's only a remote call center. Stephanie Money picked up the phone and I cannot count the number of times she called me "hon". She backed up her sales people and told me how they tried everything to help. We must have missed that! They even refused to help paying for the travel costs. She twisted and turned the story, told us lie after a lie - that the water damage was only cosmetic! When I corrected her she only said that she assumes that her people do not lie to her. Everything she said, starting from the price we had agreed on to the offered solutions was FALSE, but she would not even listen to my side of the story. She claimed that we had received a generous rebate of 2500$, but we only got that because the couch was missing, the table was missing etc. For the huge water damage they offered 599$. She then offered to find a different unit for us. I came to find out that she has NO knowledge about trailers. No idea how they are built, floorplans etc and the worst, she was not listening to what I told her we need. She was very self-centered and I am not surprised anymore we were treated the way we were. Looks like it comes from the top. Please buy at a company that values costumers and does not try to trick shame them into buying! And the slogan: "I am not happy when you are not happy" is clearly not what they mean! read more

Let me preface this by saying that I HATE to complain, (all my reviews of other businesses are always positive), but If it were possible, my review would be zero stars. They are very eager to sell you a product, but getting it serviced is an absolute nightmare. Communication is non-existent here, from the top down. If you want any sort of update on the status of a repair, good luck getting in touch with someone. No phone calls saying "It's ready, or at least "It, will be another week", etc. The unit was in twice for the same problem, (not fixed the first time after weeks of waiting), and they STILL didn't repair the other issues. When we picked the unit up (both times) the battery lid was missing, and the inside was filthy with dust and debris from the repairs. I have informed the main office of CW that I will not be bringing our unit back to this location under any circumstances, and will go to another one. In a word, disgraceful. read more

This is the worst place for service, We had a leak in air conditioner and it cost us 4300 dollars because it was not covered in our extended warranty. The service rep Lori Czizik was incompetent. They had our camper for 22 days and never opened our rear pushout. When I got it home and opened it up i found 2 holes and a seam that was lifting. so I took it back and told them that I needed it by a certain day. It took them 15 business hours to tell me that they could not open my camper, I asked them when I dropped it off if they wanted the keys. Response "no we have a master" BS. Incompetent waste of time. They lost the 22 point inspection paperwork and I had to wait for an hour while they did the inspection. Did not check slide out. The labor hours where not posted. Total crap service. Do not go here for warranty or repair service! We bought our new travel trailer at Camping World last January. Love the trailer, but after a road trip we discovered a few MINOR issues that should be covered under warranty. From the time I dropped the trailer off on June 1st until I picked it up 6 weeks later, I feel like I got a big run-around. It took CW nearly a month just to order the parts, which I feel certain should be in stock at such a large dealership. These people are either lazy, or incompetent, or just don't care. There is no "service" at this dealership! Any further repair issues I have with the trailer, I will take to my longtime repair shop, RV Medic on Busch Blvd in Tampa. read more

Service is horrible. I purchased my trailer brand new and it has spent most of the time in service department. They take an extremely long time to fix any little thing and everytime I get it back, there seems to be something new that appears broken. I have also caught the service personnel lying to me a few times about certain situations. Make sure you ask for everything in writing and save your emails.
