Giving a One Star due to the fact there is not an option for a ZERO STAR REVIEW We have always loved Bartow Ford loyal customers for YEARS, still go there even though we live out of state. We will make the trip for our services to be done there even though it's out of our way. Well this time will be the last time. Sent my truck in for Warranty work. Multiple different issues cam phaser going out, and truck shuddering hard when you accelerate or out under a load. Issue is found and it's a coil going out. No Big Deal Right? Well all we asked was for them to fix the coil going out and to see if there was a way to get the others covered under warranty since it's a known issue when one goes out the rest are to follow, but they said NO! A few days later my parents are driving the truck back to me out of state what happens it starts shuddering hard again. So they limp the truck back to us. My husband calls the Service Manager BRIAN JONES who was VERY RUDE and not understanding and just kept saying I'm not committing warranty fraud. We explained we are not asking for you to do that but with this being a known issue there has to be something that could have been done when we asked before it left their service center. He kept trying to talk over my husband and just very nasty in the way he spoke with him. Truck was then taken to our local ford dealership and they ran the tests showing there was indeed another coil out and multiple random misfire. Once they replaced the one coil they did a test drive and the truck with still shuddering so once hooked up it showed misfires in the other cylinders still. Once the plugs were pulled they found out they were FOUR cracked. WELL SPARK PLUGS JUST DON'T CRACK ON THEIR OWN! So I call Bartow ford to speak with BRIAN JONES because I feel like this isn't something I should be responsible for when the truck was in service there and to much torque when putting them back in can cause this issue or several other things could have happened. He refused to help any in anyway and made it clear they did not touch them when the truck was there. Which is a lie. To replace my cam phaser you can to remove them to get the engine in time to replace the timing chain as well. I then asked once they finished the service did they test drive the truck? No answer. He then proceeded to tell me that if I wanted any type of reimbursement for the spark plugs then I would need to meet him in small claims court. Very aggressive in the way he spoke and tried talking over me as well. I maybe a female but I'm not an idiot. And if this is the way he treats his customers with no customer service skills I will not be returning for anything! Oh and also one more thing to add to this list on Sh*t Storm. I picked up my truck from the local dealership today, drove it all of maybe 25-30 miles got home and was smelling a burning smell and seen some smoke. Called my husband he comes home and starts looking around come to find out whatever technician did my work did not put my dipstick back in so now after being drove 300+ miles 1 qt of oil left !!!! And just paid Bartow Ford for my damn oil change as well so here I go tomorrow to get another one read more

If you have a Ford that's 2010 or somewhere around that year and you just want to pay them to run a diagnostic so you can figure out what's wrong with your car They won't do it. It's not because they can't do it. They just don't want to take it in. I'm never gonna have anything to do with a Ford after this car again just because of that. I'm not even asking them to do anything to the car just to run a diagnostic on it. They should be able to do that for me, but I guess they won't. I drive a Ford Flex purchased at BF. Back-up camera has been recalled. NHTSA states replace rear view camera free of charge. I went to BF and asked service when camera could be replaced. They stated waiting on Ford Motor for instructions. I could however pay for it myself, $823, and they have the camera in stock. Mind you, I purchased the car to drive back and forth to Moffitt. If I could give a this dealership a zero I would. We order a car in January and waited until May for it to come in. Upon our order we made sure all the items that we requested were secured. Upon the arrival of the car it turns out that not everything was secured. This dealership blame corporate Ford. I call corporate Ford and they stated it was independent dealership fault. The entire time I am trying to figure out who drop the ball & how I could save it the sale person and the sale manager didn't care. They keep saying they are not making any money off of this deal. When I spoke to Ford Corporate, especially Barbie, since I call over 10 time, she said in the end it independently own dealership to honor what we were suppose to receive. The sale manager Micheal said, "I can get more money out this if you don't close the deal." Even after reaching out the owner of dealership to let him know what was going on no response either. I get it! It a dealership market. Car are hard to get, inflation, etc... but when the sale manager came off smug and show no concern, empathy. Our actual sale guy was ok. Obviously they aren't hurting for sale. There hardly any new cars on the lot. We left no car. Interesting cause my next door neighbor raves about this dealership. We didn't have a good experience. I purchased a new 2019 F150 from Bartow Ford a couple of years ago and have found the service department to be exceptional. About a month ago I went to Bartow Ford, for a scheduled service, and an Issue with my dealer installed deck lid. I talked with Melinda Duncan, in the truck accessories department about an issue with my deck lid. She informed me the lid was covered under warranty and she inspected it and ordered a new one, no questions asked. She kept me informed though-out the warranty process. I had the new cover installed this morning (7-26-22). Melinda made sure everything went wonderfully. The new cover looks great. It's not often you find a good review about a dealership, but my husband and I have really been impressed with the customer service here. He had been wanting to trade his old F150 for the 2019 model, but was holding off due to none if the dealerships not having the right package, price, color options, etc. One dealership in Tampa even made him go through the whole negotiating process, then found out the car was already sold (what professional company does that??). Bartow Ford was more than willing to negotiate down and even gave a really great trade-in for his old truck. The folks he sealed with were both helpful but also vigilant in communicating instead of ignoring his emails/calls like other places. A few months later, he noticed a scratch in the window that was clearly something from the manufacturer. I was afraid it would get put on us and we'd have to pay for it, but the Bartow folks were amazing and took care of it right away! I was even shocked that we could pick up his truck at 11pm after we went for a run and had dinner! The guys there were even joking that they wouldn't ave minded if we came even later if we had to. Overall, really top-notch dealership worth going a little bit out of your way for if you're in the market for a Ford. read more

They have no sense of urgency! 2 weeks for an oil change, oil leak and one tire replacement. Every time you call to get an update they tell you that they are super busy and will get to it as soon as they can. Ford has done this multiple times for service parts over the last few years of owning it. I have always brought my vehicle to the nearest Ford dealership with no problem. I was told even with all the information for my vehicle, I would have to bring my vehicle in for an inspection and possibly pay money. The only reason I'm doing it is for the recall. These con artists gave me an estimate of $1,593.87 (pads, rotors, master cylinder and brake booster). Total BS! Went to barrow ford renowned for there "customer service". Big mistake! Went in pre approved looking to buy a brand new mustang 2015 at the time. They were about to unload 2016 models in a month. 2015 mustang MSRP was on sale for $20k 2 months before but we were looking for 21k out the door tax tag title. So the guys like there are 2 left. We said that's fine we told him what we wanted to pay and he's like ok. Can I have your pre-approval paper. Hand him the form and he comes back with the max amount pre-approved $25,999. We're like dude cmon can't you do any better he sits back and is like nope. So then he proceeds to acquire the one we wanted from another dealership locking us out of that one because there was only 2 in the entire south (orange mustang). Left barrow went to JARRET FORD the guy there for us the MORE expensive one of the 2 because BARTOW had taken the cheaper one. The guy got us the more expensive one for what we were asking or very close to it. For $22k and we've never been happier with the service and the way he had treated us. We had a great sales experience but I would never buy another Ford. We purchased a 2017 Ford Escpae and not 2 years later the paint started chipping off in sheets and Ford would not cover it. There are alot of complaints about the quality of Ford paint jobs all over the internet and if they refuse to stand by their product I will just go buy another Make. They greatly reduced the resale value of my vehicle. I have owned many vehicle over the years and never had any issues with Chevy, Hyundai, Honda or Jeep. Never buy another Ford. What went well was the relaxed atmosphere and the ability to have just enough room to look around and contemplate what I wanted and have someone accessible when I needed them to answer questions. I particularly enjoyed the personal interest and conversations that I had when I was there and being several steps removed from the typical sales experience. Randy did a fantastic job of allowing me to think when numbers were presented to me, asking for feedback and taking the feedback to Mike Jr. for us to determine a fair trade and purchase on both ends. Even though I went into the dealership with an open mind for purchase, I had no intention of purchasing the day I went in. I had done some research and looked at the vehicle I was interested in at other dealerships and was just curious what Bartow Ford had to offer. Because of how I was treated from the moment I arrived to the presentation of numbers I was swayed towards a purchase. I am sure I could have saved money haggling or going to another dealership to haggle more, but having a dialogue that was personal and engaging about vehicles and other topics made this experience unique. While I am sure that Randy, Mike and the rest of the staff at Bartow Ford wants to sell vehicles and want profit, they never made me feel that was the sole interest. I could have easily left and returned in a few weeks without feeling I had lost any ground. That is the recipe that worked in my case and that is the recipe that I would tell others about. The other thing of note is that when I talked to Nikki in accessories and Raquel in Finance I was not pressure for any upsales. That is a huge win for them as well as it is always uncomfortable to have to explain why you don't want the add on features and have someone beat into you that you need it. At the end of all of this I felt as if I had made some real connections with real people who I hope will be friends for years to come. I would not change a single thing at this dealership. DO NOT BUY a used car from this dealer. They do NOT stand by their warranty We had an oil leak in the engine that both the salesman and the used car manager both said they would honor. This leak occurred only a week after we had the car. The used car manager then called me to say he would not honor it because he said it was not a leak but just seepage . The HOnda dealer that found the leak in my area wrote on their paperwork that it was a leak. PLEASE do not buy a car from these people. Since Bartow Ford has relentlessly harassed me to write a review here goes. To be fair I MAY have a bias that an engine should last more than 77,00 miles. Secondly, I expected with a full warranty covered to 100,000 miles an engine failure would be quickly rectified; but perhaps I misunderstood the terms trust, integrity, and honesty. Here was my experience when my 2016 F-150 blew its 4th cylinder valve onto the piston at 77,000 miles. Upon receiving the vehicle, they verified that engine was blown (at 77,000 miles) and would need to be replaced. I figure they check the clean oil and say no problem we will take care of it under the warranty. Instead for 2 weeks I was harassed over oil change records and was granted no help or encouragement with finding them. Rick Butner stated, "It is what it is" and admitted his technician might have done further damage to it when trying to identify the problem. I then filed a case through Ford Motor Company themselves and Bartow Ford finally cooperated and sent in the warranty claim. Ford Motor Company would approve it just a day later. For 2 weeks I felt victimized by Bartow Ford, I felt as they were trying to get me to cave and say I will just cover it myself so they could collect a large insurance payment. Fortunately, when my Coyote 5.0L V8 engine blows at 77,000 miles I am inherently persistent in it being fix under warranty. At the end of my experience I now have a new engine only averaging 15.2mpg and no trust in Bartow Ford to go back to them to have it tuned correctly. To Ford I am sorry, because of my experience with your certified dealer I will, nor any of my family, will purchase a Ford vehicle in the future.
