I recently spent two nights glamping at Hillsboro River State Park. The glamping site was awesome. The tent was well equipped with everything you need and A/C was nice and cool during the hot night. My kids loved the bunk beds and the queen bed was very comfortable. If you need to do any shopping you might want to take care of it ahead of time since nothing is that close and traffic can turn a 10 minute ride into 30. Overall I'd go back.

What an amazing mini getaway. My co-worker told me about this place and booked a tent for my husband's birthday. Everything was perfect and every comfort and detail was well thought of. The tents came with AC, had an extremely comfortable bed, ceiling fan, a small fridge, some games, fire pit and a Keurig machine with pods. We grilled burgers and made breakfast on the grill provided. The best part was that we could bring our dog to enjoy it with us. There's also a dedicated bathroom/shower area so bring your own towel, flip flops, toiletries, etc. Overall, one of the best glamping experiences! Can't wait to go back!

If you or your loved ones are looking for a way to introduce them to the great outdoors without having to buy all the gear, look no further. This campsite located on the Hillsborough River State Park has all the outdoor vibes without compromising modern comforts. Tucked behind the RV and campground area is a dozen or so tents that boasts air conditioning, modern furnishing, refrigerator and keurigs. Lots of plugs to charge your electronics, lights, fan, essential oil diffuser and ngl comfy bed and sheets! You also have access to all the park amenities like canoeing down the river, hanging bridge, and other nature trails. Bathrooms are still in a separate bath house, and the water is warm to shower. Definitely pack some shower slippers though. The tents are not completely sealed off so you may get a rogue bug come in. I only wish they had wifi. Overall, great place for a night or two of glamping.

It is a pretty cool place to spend the night, they have a bbq grill outside the tent and two hammocks as well.

We had an excellent experience with this paddle company at the Hyatt location. First of all, it's…read moreeasy to get to and there is free parking at Oystercatchers which is convenient. It's a small launch area where you can leave your shoes. We were given a suggested route to paddle over to Cypress Point Park to rest on the beach. We saw so much marine life on our morning trip - I was shocked. We saw dolphins, manatees, rays, and a shark. I know we just got lucky but man, it was so awesome. We used a Groupon but were told we could also book directly and they would honor the Groupon rate, so just a tip to look for any deals you find and then reach out to them before purchasing.

The price is reasonable, which is why I am giving it three stars. You launch by the pool area of…read morethe Grand Hyatt. The kid who checked me in couldn't have been more uninterested. No guidance on where to head out, just made sure I knew what I was doing, gave me a life preserver and sent me on my way. There's no dry bag so you have to either bring your own or leave your stuff with them, which I didn't know in advance. The launch area is easy enough, but then basically you're paddling out into the bay, which a lot of it was really shallow when I was there. If you're looking for just some straight up paddleboard exercise, then this is fine. If you're hoping to see a bunch of manatees and other wildlife, I would suggest elsewhere.
