I highly recommend going kayaking with Capt Yak and his crew. They were fun, informative, well-equipped and it was amazing. We saw dolphins, Rays, Upside down jelly fish, birds. There was nothing negative about the experience and I will go again and again..see you in April when I come again.

Capt Yak is the best! My husband and I went as something out of our norm. We had a blast! Capt brought his expertise of the area (which was very much needed on our windy adventure) and it paid off. I enjoyed the random facts and finds throughout the tour too!

These guys followed us along and were quite entertaining.

Greg gave an outstanding tour! He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. He was interesting and engaging, also extremely thoughtful. He made two restaurant suggestions that we tried and loved!! He also delivered my left behind water bottle. He went over and beyond on every way. Highly recommend!

I can't imagine a better way to spend the day in the Tampa area. This was my first kayaking experience and it was excellent! This is a must do for any tourist or local!

Had a great time. Took some convincing to get hubby out kayaking. Greg was very knowledgeable and personable. Next time husband says we'll definitely book with with Greg again. We had a tandem kayak and neither of our backs hurt because the kayaks were equipped with seat backs. Made the trip even more enjoyable. Really great trip made even better because of Greg's style, knowledge and committment to the environment.

From start to finish, Captain John and First Mate Jennifer were outstanding hosts. They made everyone feel welcome and ensured passengers boarded and exited the boat safely at every stop. The tour included two stops at beautiful Egmont Key. First, we had the opportunity to snorkel and swim in the crystal-clear, warm Gulf waters. The snorkeling was fantastic, and it's easy to see why this area is known for its abundant marine life. Our second stop gave us time to explore the island's pristine beaches, nature trails, and fascinating history. Egmont Key is a true gem of the Tampa Bay area, with stunning scenery and plenty to discover. Throughout the trip, Captain John and Jennifer shared interesting facts about the island, local wildlife, and the surrounding waters. They went above and beyond to make sure we had memorable wildlife encounters. On the ride back, they helped us spot several dolphins, and we were incredibly lucky to see three manatees! Captain John carefully maneuvered the boat to a respectful and safe distance, allowing us to enjoy the rare experience of observing these gentle animals in their natural habitat. What impressed me most was the crew's professionalism, knowledge, and genuine passion for showing guests the beauty of the Gulf Coast. After more than 15 years of leading tours to Egmont Key, they clearly know how to create a fun, safe, and unforgettable adventure. I highly recommend Island Boat Adventures to anyone looking for a memorable day on the water. We can't wait to come back and do it again!

From the moment we boarded, the atmosphere was fun and upbeat. The music playlist was perfect for a day on the water, and the crew (Matt and JC) kept the energy going the entire trip. The highlight, of course, was the dolphins. They showed up right on cue and put on an amazing show, swimming alongside the boat and giving everyone plenty of opportunities for photos and memories. This was a fantastic experience for all ages, and we had so much fun. We will definitely be doing it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun outing on the water!

The dolphin sightings happened in the middle and again toward the end of the trip, for a total of about 10-20 minutes. That was definitely the highlight of the experience--our kids really loved seeing the dolphins. However, between and after the sightings, there was a lot of walking on the beach under the hot sun. The walking felt long and tiring, especially for the kids, and there was no shade. During the tour, an elderly woman also started feeling unwell due to the heat, and an ambulance was called to assist her. Overall, while seeing the dolphins was a wonderful experience, I would recommend preparing for a long amount of walking and strong sun exposure, especially for families with young children or elderly guests.

Dalton provided expert commentary about the area, even pointing out a few celebrity homes and yachts along the way. It was a gorgeous ride over to Shell Key, and we even saw a few dolphins along the way. Once on the island, we had about 45-50 minutes to explore the beaches and do a little snorkeling and shell-hunting. The island is aptly named, with rows and piles of shells along its white, sandy beaches. The water was warm and perfect for swimming. Soon enough we were back on board and heading back to the harbor. And that's when the magic happened: dolphins! Following along in our wake, and no doubt attracted to the enthusiastic squeals of one of our dolphin-loving fellow passengers, the dolphins put on quite a show. Even Dalton, who I assume sees a LOT of dolphins, was impressed by how long they followed in our wake and performed jumps and flips for us. It was truly one of the most remarkable experiences of my life! Thank you Dalton and Island Ferry for an amazing and memorable tour and one of the true highlights of our vacation!
