And not crowded at all on a Saturday morning. We did the three trails - bobcat, otter and eagle. I was using the AllTrails app to navigate all three as it's not well marked as to where each one is until you're right at the sign. Overall it was about a 2.6 mile hike for us. We started on the otter trail when we should have started on bobcat for a more fluid walk. We had to backtrack a lot to find our way. And the eagle trail kinda dead ends so you gotta go back the way you came. It did get a little busier as we were finishing up around noontime. Everyone we met along the way was friendly - humans and dogs. Saw families playing in fields and people fishing from the dock. No mosquitoes except on the bobcat trail. Can't say how it will be though when the weather is hotter. Huge and beautiful park. We will definitely be back to this one.

The nature center has a bathroom and a bit of information, but all the displays were empty, including the outdoor one that allegedly used to have a tortoise. This is a great ride on a hot day.  And, on a hot day, the line can get pretty long…read more   The queue is entirely outdoors, but it is covered from the sun and there are fans above you.  However, you will get no real relief from the heat until you get onto the ride and get wet. Each round boat can hold 12 people.  And there are two sides for loading and unloading.  IF both sides are open, the line moves a little bit faster as 24 people can be getting on and off at the same time.    As the name of the ride may suggest, this is a ride of rapids. There are warnings posted throughout the line that you may get wet and possibly soaked from this ride.  I've ridden this many times and have been anywhere between getting just a few drops of water to being completely drenched.  DO NOT get on this ride unless you are ok with the chance of getting soaked!!  Overall, a good ride, especially if you want to briefly escape the summer heat.

They have a BMX ramp/exhibit which has areas for practicing *BMX membership required for practice. They have 3 hiking trails that span out about 1.5- 3 miles. **You can ride bikes also. It has 2 lakes: Jackson & Starvation which allows fishing and camping is allowed for non profit organizations. The park does have a few shelters for rent and if they are not reserved on a particular day they are first come first serve. Along with all of the things mentioned above the park offers a gazebo for intimate affairs like marriages. A horse-show.**Select dates. It has a volleyball space and an archery ramp. Only 2 people max can be in the same kayak as long as they are under the weight limit, so if you come in odd numbered parties, someone will have to be fine with kayaking alone.

Then, just four hours before the scheduled trip, a generic automated email was sent canceling the experience and instructing customers to request a refund. After that, communication again became nonexistent. I received no response regarding next steps for the refund despite repeated outreach. Unfortunately, I ultimately had to file a dispute with my bank to recover the payment for a service that was never rendered. Weather cancellations are understandable -- poor communication and lack of customer support are not.

You check in downtown and then the walk to the launch area is less than five minutes. Everything you need is at the launch area. This was probably one of the nicest kayaks I've ever rented. There are 3-4 large pavilions on the beach, along with grills. There are a couple of volleyball courts as well. Showers and restrooms are located near the entrance/exit of the parking lot. A word of caution - there are some sharks in the waters, so you don't want to venture out past the no swimming signs that are clearly posted in the water. Two downsides to this location - there are no waves (I know that's no ones fault!) and the sand/beach area isn't maintained by a staff, so there is grass growing very close to the beach. One could argue that you get that "natural" beach feeling, so to each their own.

They also offer package deals if you want to go out a few more times but don't have the money or the space to commit to owning your own. Safety Harbor also seems like the best location for me because there are less waves, boats and people to have to contend with, and plenty of life in the mangroves to enjoy. If you want to people watch and enjoy some waves then you're probably going to be happier at the two Clearwater locations.
