    Shooting at the enemy ships!

Our family embraced the pirate life today aboard the Lost Pearl. My kids are 13 and 5. We thought our 5 year old would love the cruise, but didn't expect our teenager to get much out of it. We were pleasantly surprised at how much our teen enjoyed the excursion! The pirates had a few games and activities for kids and we even met a family with a 15 year old boy who was having a great time as well! I would say ages 5-8 are the target demographic, but if you have teens, bring them! Drinks are included so mom and dad can have a good time as well! They took us out pretty far in the bay too. Definitely geared towards families with kids, but there were kid-free adults enjoying the ride and hokey pirate fun as well!

A perfect ending to a perfect day!! Worth the $30pp charge that included free.drinks! Easy laid back cruise to see beautiful sunset

How about a New Year's Day sunset cruise along the Tampa Riverwalk with some of your closest friends? I also scored the last tickets to the 6 PM cruise. What a great time! With your ticket purchase, there are some complimentary beers, wine or house drinks included. I stuck with Mich Ultra. We were first in line at boarding so heading right to the front of the ship where we got the best views. Make your way there. There are some parents with kids on the Lost Pearl, but I think they do a great job of having them engage in pirate activities on the main deck, so if you want to chill with just adults, head to the top of the ship. It was such a beautiful view on the Lost Pearl. There were still so many Christmas lights everywhere and it made it even more fun. The weather was perfect and we all had a blast. Make sure to book your tickets in advance and don't wait till the last minute. The staff was super friendly and we all had a great time! Check out the pics.

Had such a blast on this adventure into the open sea, with all the excitement on board very kid friendly and also adult friendly they offer a open bar included with your ticket but make sure you have some doubloons(cash/coins) to tip the nice bartender and pirates, my kids had such a great time on this ship playing games and shooting water blasters out in the water. The staff is wonderful and I can't wait to book our next trip

Lost Pearl Pirate Cruises, by Convention Center, Downtown Tampa

I'm pleased to be the first to welcome the newly added Lost Pearl Pirate Cruises business to Downtown Tampa!! Lost Pearl Pirate Cruises departs from Downtown Tampa by the Convention Center, Sail Pavilion, and the Pirate Taxi Stop 7. Lost Pearl offers a fun 1.5-hour interactive pirate ship tour of Tampa Bay on the water with dolphin sightings while kids can enjoy some pirate themed swashbuckling activities. Patrons can defend the ship from pirates who board ship and try to steal the treasure during the Pirate show. Tour operators give the kids pirate eye patches, plastic pirate swords, and pirate hats and offer plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained including shooting water cannons! Adult tickets go for $28, children's tickets 2-12 years old go for $25, and infants under 2 are free. If you join the Tampa pirate ship email list online and sail before March 1st, you can get bogo tickets! Reservations are not required but are strongly encouraged to guarantee seating in case the cruise sells out. Boarding began 15 minutes prior to the scheduled cruise time. Make sure to allow for plenty of extra time to account for finding parking downtown, traffic, and walking over. You can purchase tickets online, over the phone or at their ticket booth in front of the Sail Pavilion in person. Outside food and drinks are not allowed aboard the Lost Pearl unless the drink is in an official Riverwalk Cup. Bags are searched prior to boarding for alcohol so don't even try to smuggle. Only registered service animals are permitted aboard the Lost Pearl. The ship's grog bar has snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. While the majority of the cruises are geared towards young kids and their parents, private charters are available for birthday parties, team building, weddings, private parties, corporate & convention outings. Future events include: On February 29th, patrons can Celebrate the 2020 Gasparilla outbound voyage aboard Tampa's pirate ship. On March 14 & 17, Patrons can take a St Patty's Day Cruise and see the River O Green! On March 28 & 29th Patrons can take a Airfesr Cruise to witness incredible views of the flight performance by the United States Navy Blue Angels aboard the Lost Pearl on the water!

We had a blast this morning on the Lost Pearl. The crew was amazing! The crew was great about following every COVID precaution, which is always appreciated. We were the only passengers onboard the first sailing of the day, and they still operated the trip. Obviously they were loosing money on our trip, but the crew couldn't have been more gracious and nice! We will be back, as my daughter loved it so much, she now wants to be a Pirate when she grows up ! Thanks for a nice trip!

The tickets felt a little expensive at $36 per person given the brevity of the experience and the infrequency of the pickups and dropoffs. We rode the river route up to Armature/Ulele, and the tour was an entertaining (albeit short) 15 minute ride. We ended up exploring the fantastic river walk down to the gorgeous U of Tampa campus before catching a returning taxi about an hour later. During one of the dockings, there was an unfortunate incident that almost tanked the evening. Something went awry, and the fire hose next to me started spraying at a high volume. I ended up soaking wet from head to toe on a cool winter evening. The captain and staff were apologetic, and I ended up with a couple of beers on the house, so we went ahead with the longer Island loop route. This trip was a pleasant cruise. It's a lot longer than the river route, but there are not a ton of points of interest (mainly some mansions and heavy industrial areas). The vibes were good - what's not to like about a cruising on the water with a cold drink and an entertaining tour guide. Ultimately, my sons ended up enjoying the water taxi and telling me it was a highlight of our trip. We loved the Armature and Ulele stop and ended up going back there for dinner and dessert. I didn't love the price and the incident that happened on board, but this was a good experience overall.

When I located the dock, I was maybe the 5th or 6th person there and none of us were really sure we were in the right place (maybe put a sign up?). Unfortunately, due to the captain not making any announcement as to what tour or company he was with, I was the last person on the boat and got stuck sitting in the roasting sun with no canopy. I spent most of the tour with my purse and tote bag over my arms trying to avoid a sunburn. The captain was informative when we got going, and I appreciated the offer of free water to everyone on board (you don't want anyone passing out). Lots of info about Native American and early settler history, and the buildings on the skyline. We saw the Gasparilla pirate ship, the actual war ship American Victory, the hotel turned college built by Henry B. Plant, the Tampa Riverwalk, and celebrity homes like Derek Jeter's place the size of a department store. Despite the heat, it was great to be out on the water and in fresh air. I hope the tour company will consider telling patrons that they may end up in direct sunlight for 1.5 hours and to dress for that possibility. I'm sure that seems obvious to some, but I assumed there would be an awning.

When I told him I just got a call from the number he had a long pause then just said "uuihhhhh NO", and was rude. I said yes, I did. He mumbled something. Obviously I hung up. This guy is just answering the phones and he is simply ridiculously rude for no reason. Needless to say we aren't going to use the water taxi most likely simply due to this guy. Why? Because if there was any issue my guess is you'd have to deal with this guy. No thanks.

There are restrooms here that make it easy to change your children into their bathing suits. They also have shaded picnic tables. The splash pad and playground is gated so you can let the kids run around inside while you sit and chat on the outside of the gate at the shaded picnic tables. I would highly recommend bringing swimsuits and all your water stuff if you decide to come here, because the playground part is quite small and in the same area as the splash pad. They aren't separated, so your child will most likely get wet whether you want them to or not if you come here, better to just prepare for them to get wet. The splash pad has one of those buckets that fill up and then dump all over the children, which I find kids absolutely love. There is also a ropes climbing part that they can get to a crows nest, so I would say the ideal age for this play area is between four and 10.
