The communication -- horrible. Worst than a car dealership, literally all the negative about a car dealership is amplified here at camping world. Running the numbers means nothing - you can be told one thing by the finance/sales manager and then you make an appointment with the rude snippy front desk girls and yes the appointment was kept however-- after hours of sitting there only to be told 100% opposite of what the finance / sales manager said ( I assume it was that - for they are unsure as to what that person actually does or who that person is ) There is very low accountability. The show process was not ideal -- make sure you in with a plan. Serial numbers and models etc. because they will say we don't have that one and they will push you into a different model and you will never see what you actually came into see. Turns out it magically appears !! Then you sit in the office going through it all and they will then come out and say Well that one you liked is gone ( in a matter of minutes) and throw you into the pricier model. Another fun fact is " mandatory " class that you will get financed to learn about it your RV for like 3 hours. Needles to say they make 0 deals -- they don't care. I mean I have never had such an experience like this. Worst than a car dealership. Then the make you sit on the phone and call their insurance company - which you know they get a referral. Kick back !! They say military discount - but just discussing it during the questionnaire process . Does not mean they will honor it!! Ugh over this. Bought a fridge $2,200.00.sales guy was fantastic. Brought home installed in class A motor home.it was a difficult install. New fridge defective. Called CW uninstalled and returned. They had another new one sitting on loading dock for me. 2 young men unloaded defective fridge and lowered another New one in my pick up truck. I tried to give them a 20 for their help. Sooooo..... I go to pick up my camper and just deal with the fact that they are a bad place to do business with, I pay the fee I don't agree with and go to hook up to my camper. Getting around there I notice the awning is not completely in so I go to roll it in and it will not go in on one side to the sum of about 8". I ask the staff about it and their reply was oh it got worse ( MY CAMPER WAS NOT DAMAGED HERE WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF I HAVE PICTURES OF THE AWNING COMPLETELY CLOSED) They then bring out some zip ties and tell me oh this will get you home. I hear there have been customer's campers stolen from your lot while being worked on. Apparently 5 or 6 campers in just a short period of time. Why are you not placing these on secure lots instead of in the road next to your lot? These belong to your customers and you are allowing multiple campers to disappear while on your property. And apparently your general manager has talked down to those customers about not having any control, no knowledge of where the video footage is? Who would believe a general manager doesn't know anything and everything about the store he is supposed to run? BS...sounds like an inside job to me...campers get "stolen" off one lot and get shipped to another one to be resold or rented out maybe? Nobody renting a camper for a week is going to check any VIN's are they? Very suspicious to me. Ya'll better make this right for these folks and start enclosing and securing the lot that these owner campers are sitting their property to be repaired by YOU! If your customers can't trust you with their property, why would anyone continue to buy from you?! Get this handled ASAP! Make this right!!! Update: She HAS reached out to corporate and nothing is happening. You have 6 campers stolen off your lot and you don't lock them up inside a protected area while you are working on repairs. That is absurd! And you claim you aren't responsible. How are customers to trust you after this? This is slimy business practices if I ever saw it. Shame on you for not doing right by your customers. Shame on you for not keeping their property safe while in your care. You don't even make an effort. You have sloppy tracking of what you have on the lot. That is YOUR problem. If you aren't willing to work WITH these folks to help them get their campers back that disappeared off YOUR lot in YOUR care, then there is nothing else to suspect but this is an inside job. Are you sending used campers to other lots to be sold out from under the owners? Sounds like it to me. Very fishy circumstances and a very shady GM giving very little information and then sticking his foot in his mouth when he contradicts himself about cameras/videos, when he worked and when he didn't, etc. Smells to high Heaven of something fishy. Is he making dirty dollars off of other people? What does he care? They are insured, right? They'll get their money from the insurance company, right? Maybe the insurers and news should investigate this more thoroughly. This does not make sense at all. And I've read the many complaints about people unable to get their titles to new campers from you or ordering a new camper that is received with soap scum in the shower? What NEW camper has had someone shower in it enough to leave soap scum? I've heard things over the years from friends of mine with camper repair nightmares but this takes the cake. We recently sold our camper with intentions of buying another one soon, but we will not be shopping at any Camping World locations. We would not want the kind of service you offer and I would not want a dime to go to you or the kind of employees you hire. I hope Action 9 News gets involved! And I hope the insurance companies take you to court and take you over the coals. Your business practice needs a huge review and reincarnation before you deserve people to shop with you again. Completely terrible service. We bought a camper over a year ago now and still don't have a title/tag. It has been nothing but constant over promise, under deliver ever since we started dealing with them, from the salesman to the service department. No one seems to know what their policies are, nor can they keep their story straight from one day/week/month to the next. I cannot overstate how terrible this place is to work with. Do not buy a camper from them or use their services. They are terrible at what they do and fully deserve to go under as a business. There is a reason they have a terrible online rating. The day we purchased our camper in May 2020 was fine. The process was smooth and the employees were friendly. After that everything has gone downhill... first, we had a few follow up questions on minor things and could never get our salesperson or a manager on the phone. Left countless voicemails with no return calls. Fast-forward to March 2021. We had a few warranty repairs that needed to be addressed. We called to make an appt and they couldn't schedule us until mid April. We show up on our appt day with the camper - and they initially said they didn't have us down... We get that squared away and get the camper checked in (which took well over an hour...). They tell us that they are 3-4 weeks out at actually looking at the campers that are being dropped off (so tell me, what is the point of appointments?) We told them we had a camping trip planned and would need it back in 2.5 weeks. Time passes... they haven't looked at our camper. We pick it up and schedule a new drop off time. New drop off day approaches in Mid May. We call ahead of time to see if they were caught up yet. They were not... Again, we needed it back within 2 weeks for our next trip, so the girl tells us to just bring it June 1, they would be caught up by then. June 1 rolls around, we bring it in and this time Ashley acknowledges that we are now beyond our warranty window, but also acknowledges that we will not be help accountable for that. She gave us a verbal promise that this time the warranty diagnostic would 100% be completed before our pick up date (picking up 6/17 for our next trip). We have called several times since drop off to remind them of their promise and of our needed pick up date. We called today to be informed, once again, that even just the warranty diagnostic has not been completed. Every time I try to call and talk to Ashley directly - she has left for a family emergency (this place seems to have a lot of that) and another manager is NEVER at their desk to take a call. Marcus Lemonis says that if we aren't happy, he isn't happy. We have contacted his "help line" and got a little more run around from them also. I now understand why they have 1 1/2 stars! I have had my brand new Jayco 2021 in this camping world 3 times now. First time they had it a month and nothing was completed properly. Second time they had it for 2 1/2 months and the lock on the door didn't work all of a sudden and we had planned to get away so we took it out even though things were not completed! Brought it back to get them to finish! It has been there since the middle March and no communication on updates. Just really frustrating that we can't use our camper whenever we want. We are paying on the loan every month and sad that we have only used our camper 4 times since we have purchased it October 2020. Bad communication and bad service! Bought a used travel trailer in October 2020. Had to wait three months just to get a tag and it was obvious that Michelle couldn't care less about customer service as it was incredibly difficult to deal with her. After a six weeks of runaround and blaming the delay on the 3rd party company that acquires tags, the excuse they provided was that the VIN number entered on the paperwork was incorrect. You literally have one job when it comes to paperwork and that one job is to get the VIN number right. It's obvious there's no quality control. On top of that the unit I purchased needed a part for the awning that was to be provided as a 'we owe'. Here it is in May and I still don't have the parts . You would think the service manager Ashley would be on top of things like that but all she tells me is that the parts were ordered through the retail store. Bought a new Montana on 3-6-21 they would not take my trade in so they had a wholesaler buy it for less than what I owed they said if I pay the difference that they would buy it so I paid the difference ($3200) the next day its 7 weeks later and nothing my old camper is still sitting in their lot across the rd I am 2 weeks behind on the payment and I canceled the insurance on it also.They will not answer the phone or call me back so I guess I'm gonna have to pay them a visit. My new camper had lots of water leaks around the shower with water running down into the underbelly storage area so I fixed that myself and I still have not got a tag for the new camper either it is 4-26-21 and I call them everyday if they make it rite I will remove this review. read more

We had our travel trailer there for a simple repair no update and took over a month to get It back, then when we got it back they didn't even fix the problem. Avoid them at all cost! Buying anything from camping world has been the biggest mistake ever. I will never do any business with them. In Feb 2021 when I bought it , my sales guy was high af. We needed someone else to step in to complete the sale. The other employees were well aware of his actions and I guess were used to it and accepted the behavior. Warrenty is a term They don't honor. You are better off letting It go rather than bring it in. Everything was denied "due to Normal wear and tear." Took it in the first time, refrigerator stopped working, broken blinds and and a few other things. They denied the fridge was not working. We were told the blinds were fixed and that a new part was not needed. Columbia SC had the trailer for 3 months at this point. Come to find out. Camping world ordered the blinds and kept them. (Columbia SC) Second time it was brought in to Concord NC thinking it would be better. No, they have had the trailer for 6 MONTHS. Again told them the fridge isn't working. We went back and forth for 3 months about the refrigerator. I was told its fine. After I contacted forest river and they confirmed there is an on going issue with that model fridge. All the sudden camping world confirmed the seals were defective. They ordered the parts. Expected on Dec 22nd. They finally came in the beginning of Feb ( I understand..they can't help the shipping issue) well those seals are defective And need to be re ordered ‍. I contact forest river they told me that camping world should have called to expedite this order. Nope. Here I am 6 months later still waiting on a camper...I've made 12 payments on this thing and ive only had it for a grand total of 3 months. Camping world didn't respond to my last email just asking for the seals to be placed As a priority. So frustrated! Update: 3/15/2022 Finally picked up the trailer. They charged almost $400 for denied warrenty work and winterizing. Too add insult to injury...their Employees broke the handle that lowers the trailer on to my truck. The original handle had the adapter to use a drill. The new one does not. Now I'm forced to manually raise and lower that 33ft trailer on to my truck.. Of course I reached out to Linda who was my point of contact. Her response was. "I was not told about it, no reason not to tell you!" Pretty much been her stance since the beginning. Evasive and condescending. I have been waiting for a week now. I have not been contacted about the broken Handle. Corp did get involved due to my Google review. Deanna was nice and tried to help. I think this problem goes a little deeper. All of these issues happen with dealing with large companies. Proper Customer service is long gone. To many people involved make it easier to pass the responsibility on to someone else. Please look into finding a smaller business to take your trailer to. After purchasing our travel trailer from Camping World of Concord in October, we attempted to use the AC while using it for the first time. No luck. So the service department told us to drop it off February 17th and they would fix the problem. 6 weeks go by and we finally are told that NO ONE ever wired the AC unit up. A brand new camper. And it was delivered to us in this condition. Buying it on cool weather, we never thought of checking out the AC, but being it was brand new, we thought it would work. I guess we were fooled. Parts were ordered and arrived April 8th. To date, we still have no idea when this brand new camper will be fixed. I encourage anyone to NOT expect your camper to be ready for 2-3 months from this place. Totally inexcusable. I will not ever do business with this place again. Today is April 28th. And my new camper is still sitting at their location with no idea when it will be fixed. And if you check reviews on their service department on another review site, I noticed I'm not the only one this has happened to. Some folks waited 4 months for service. So buyer beware. One star is being kind. 4 week old 75k unit with warranty issues and nobody seems to care. They don't call you or return your calls for weeks. They can't give you a timeline. You have to chase them down or show up in person to basically get told tough luck or listen to more excuses. Yes, every organization has policies, I get it, but those policies can be altered when needed. This organization is broken from top to bottom. I would shop somewhere else. Take the time to read it's worth it! Awful !! Stay away from any camping world! I purchased a brand new 2019 Forrest River Serra from camping world out of concord NC in early July. Since then I've had my camper a total of 4 weeks. After purchasing the camper I found a soft spot in my kitchen floor due to camping world not taking proper care of the camper, as well as tilted slide outs, seals broken, and a 51 items list all together. This was all found by a certified technician that i paid out of pocket to get. Since the inspection camping world of concord has had the camper and still has not fixed the soft spot in the kitchen! I have proof that the store manager and the service manger lied to me and tried to tell me nothing was wrong with the camper! Multiple times!! I tried contacting Marcus Lemonis because he always says "If you're not happy, then I'm not happy" well that's a lie if I've ever heard one! I'm not happy Marcus Lemonis! You've known for quite some time that I'm not happy and you're not doing anything about it! I had to pay a lawyer to write up legal documents just to get a answer from someone! Even my lawyer is having trouble getting something out of these people! It's unreal! After MONTHS of back and forth with my lawyer and camping worlds lawyer they finally said they were going to fix the camper but guess what! They have supposedly "fixed" this camper 4 times, but every time I go to inspect the camper there are still things not done! So far they fixed the slide outs but scratched up all the fascia's on the slide outs and they also had the audacity to cut my floor board kitchen with a razor blade!! And then tell me that they don't have permission to touch my floor! The worst part is, I've tried on multiple occasions to get MARCUS LEMONIS to give me my RIGHTFUL refund for this camper, but noooo they told me they would "fix" the camper and give it back to me, and they would pay for half of a third party inspection. HALF!!! I've already paid a third party inspector to inspect the camper and he found that the camper was very poorly taken care of! I want my money back! This is not right, I have a small family and I work very hard every day, for the very little I have, I usually work 60-84 hours a week steady! I use the camper to move my family around with me, now I've came out of pock thousands and thousands! Paying lawyers, paying for hotels, paying for U-HAL trailer's to move my belongings back and forth. It's ridiculous!! This man has more money than he knows what to do with and he can't even make things right! The extended warranty that they won't honor was almost 2500 dollars. I have waited a year for warranty work to be done! They were at the point of replacing non working items like converter when they returned the parts because "they couldn't reach me". Now, the work still needs to be done and I can't get anyone to return my calls. This is bad business and I will make sure everyone knows how you do business. Montana are sales lady was awesome. She took the time to show us a bunch of campers. She tried her best to help us find a camper. We liked one camper and just wanted to see what the payments would be and if they could get us the interest are bank could give us. Brock the finance guy told me he could not give me any information for my bank unless I gave them a 500$ deposit. I explained I didn't know if I was definitely willing to buy it because the numbers needed to work for me. They insisted on the deposit. When I got home Matt called me from finance with a quote of 12% for 10 years! I told him there is no way I was going to pay that. He then said another bank just came back with 9.5%. It all just seemed shady and pushed. The problem is the charge a ton of different fees and then try and make money on the finance too. They charge the 69$ for title work and 499$ for them to do it. We bought a trailer somewhere else. They didn't charge extra fees and only charged us 69$ for title work and processed it for free. We also got a 5.5% interest rate read more

Great sales dept. Major issues with the service dept. Bought a Popup trailer in 2019. Had issues with the canvas and had it replaced under warranty... it was a hot mess. Traveled 4 times to/from to get it (one time had no canvas on it, second time new canvas had a leak, third time they installed the canvas on the wrong bunks). Brought it in for repair in December 2019 and didn't get it back (with a new leakproof canvas installed right) until June! Consider where you buy and their service rating!!! read more

Visited camping world today to get informed about the RV life and how much it costs to get into one. First of all the place does not have very good signage. We walked all around in one hundred degree weather trying to find something to look at. A sales person drove up in a cart and invited us to look at some models. We were so glad to be able to drive and looked at several models. We turned around and the guy was gone, left us stranded in the heat. Camping World is an absolute JOKE. I should have headed the warnings in the reviews before purchasing a camper from them. From start to finish, the experience has been horrendous. Specifically, when the camper was delivered, I watched them coming down the road with the exterior camper door flopping open and close. That means it was hauled from Concord to South Charlotte like this. Upon inspection everything seemed okay and undamaged, so I let it go. Also to note, there were stickers in each of the bathrooms indicating that the camper had been winterized. Fast forward, the camper is parked for 5 weeks without water or power hooked up. Once weather turned warm, we hooked power and water up to the camper. It became immediately obvious that there was a leak in one of the bathrooms. I immediately turned all water off and began calling Camping World on April 12th at least twice EVERY SINGLE DAY. I was told that I needed to speak with a lady named Meisha Pruismann. Again, I've tried to reach her via telephone every single day since April 12th - it is now April 22nd. After calling over and over, speaking with the salesman who sold us the camper twice - we finally got a TEXT MESSAGE from Meisha asking how she could help. I responded that I had been calling for almost two weeks and would appreciate a call. When she called, her attitude was unapologetic. The long and the short of the story is that she indicated that the issue we are having is something that WE caused and stated that we would be charged for repairs. There are all kinds of OBVIOUS signs that this camper was used in SOME CAPACITY which they are denying but there is soap scum/residue on the shower door, there are spots in carpeting, etc. The response to this by the sales rep is that "these campers aren't put together with precision like a home would be." I don't expect this to be put together like a home, but I do expect it to be NEW when I bought it NEW. Soap scum in a shower has nothing to do with how a camper is put together unless it was put it together using and OLD shower door. Absolutely unacceptable. To date, I still have not been able to speak to a manager, get a manager to return my calls, etc even though I started leaving messages for a manager last Sunday, April 16th after repeatedly being unable to reach Meisha. PLEASE - read the reviews!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD!!! As of yet there has been no resolution - waiting for a call from a manager on Monday morning (April 24th). Updates to follow. I purchased a 2018 Forest River travel trailer today from Camping World. My salesperson was Art Holland. I worked with Kim in financing (and spoke with Matt as well), and Dave in the shop did my walk through. There were a few others and I'm sorry, I can't remember their names. Everyone was super friendly and courteous! My camper was by no means the most expensive Art will sell this week, but he understood this was a huge thing for me and he treated me respect and zero pressure. He listened to my unique needs, showed me all the options I should consider, and I ended up choosing something I didn't even know existed. We took several days to pick it out and he took me back in the golf cart as many times as I needed to look at "one more thing." Art is a total font of knowledge and helped this newbie feel comfortable! Kim is a miracle worker with financing. That's all I will say. Oh and she's super easy to work with, so friendly and knowledgeable! Dave took so much time on the walk through and explained each thing. He made a lot of helpful and practical suggestions and was available on the phone when I got home and had a question about my hitch. I really feel so well cared for and like I have a support team I can count on and I'm just now realizing there is a whole chain of these support teams all over the country, waiting in case I need help in the future! I made an online cash offer on an older (but beautiful) RV. A gentleman just called me back and was quite demeaning. He asked me questions about my research to insinuate I was stupid for making the offer, but continually interjected the word "respectfully" to sugar coat his attack. For the record, I have done more than my fair share of research and while my offer was a stretch, he's entirely off base. The MSRP from 2008 is really irrelevant in 2016. Ultimately, on a $199,000.00 motor home, this guy was willing to come down a whopping ONE THOUSAND dollars. And he even said "maybe." When I told him that was insulting, he laughed and hung up. AWESOME customer service! We went in to purchase some equipment for our camper and we were treated politely and all three of the employees we talked to were very helpful! One man took 10 minutes telling us about the certain product we came in for, and answered all of our questions. The man at the parts counter went above and beyond to look for some sway bars he didn't think they had in stock, but took the time to look just to be sure, and asked us several follow up questions to make sure he found the right ones. The lady who rang us up had a wonderful personality and was so helpful and even helped us renew our Good Sam membership that was expiring so we could get the discounts. We left grateful and happy with everything we needed. Such a difference from their competitors up the road who ignored us and treated us rudely. We will definitely buy all of our supplies at Camping World from now on. read more

I brought my new camper in to have warranty work done to replace a lock that was jammed, seems simple enough. This was the first week of July. It took them 9 weeks, yes 9 weeks to fix the lock, the majority of the summer. I normally do not post reviews but felt I needed to let any potential camping world customers to beware. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Calls and emails go unanswered, no communication. The corporate office was of no help either. You may experience great service when they are selling you a trailer but you had better hope it never needs service. Read the reviews...... I wish I had...... read more

Please don't go the campingworld they sold us a new camper the end of June and had to return it for service the end of July and they have had it the whole month of August. The repairs are still not completed with no help in site. Will not recommend anyone purchasing a new camper from Camping World of Concord unless you want to make payments while it sits in their lot waiting for repairs. But I am thinking if you purchase a brand new camper why does it need repair after less than 1 month of use... Kathy Towle read more
