While we were traveling, one of our windows broke on our RV. I ordered the part from our Coach Mfg..... then made appt with RV One Superstore in Concord, NC. to fix it. I spoke to Wendell on the service desk. Very friendly and helpful when I described our issue. He was calm, knowledgeable and very accommodating when I explained our traveling schedule. AND, we were very happy & surprised to get in within 2 weeks. July 12th @ 9:00 am. My Coach Mfg said they couldn't get me in until Dec. . They even said they would let us dry Camp the night before if we needed to. We didn't need to...but nice to have options. Upon arriving @ 8:40, besides the broken window, Wendell went over our short list of added items that needed attention. Told Wendell, we would wait in the lobby. (BTW.. Music was a bit tooooo loud). Appt at 9:00, by 9:10... we watched our Coach go into the service bay. By 10:30... we were done, .... window replaced, cabinet hinge fixed, coolant checked..... we were paid up and driving out. The sales process for my bride & myself was fine, it's the follow up after the sale that seems to be stressful. Being that the RV we purchased was gently used and only a few years old, there were a couple items we had concerns about before taking delivery. One items was left undone in the 2-3 weeks between our signing the contract and taking delivery. We were promised a tear in the driver's upholstery would be fixed/mended, they'd send their guy out to our house (2 1/2 hours away) to do the fix. We took delivery at the end of July and it still hasn't happened. It has taken more than 2 months to get a license plate (I still don't have it), 3 sets of temp tags to bridge that gap. I was hoping to take a class on how to winterize my RV or even get them to do it, but I'm starting to second guess this thought process. It's a nice Class A RV, in great shape, with a LOT of bells and whistles for the right price. I'm just getting concerned about the lack of follow up or service after the sale. read more

I had the luck of the draw, and I got Anthony Stanley as the salesman to help me out and give me the knowledge of a product that I had no idea anything about. The trailer I ended up buying was over all a great experience. They showed me the mechanical workings of the trailer, and what I needed to maintain and provide the trailer for many years of use. If you're one of those people that are always on the fence about buying a camper or a toy! This is one of those where you gotta jump to your side and get you a camper because once you get one, you'll love it and your kids will to! Had an electrical problem which I suspected was related to the inverter and a "sticky" seat adjustment switch (which I had already determined just needed to be replaced). I waited for a few hours in lobby after which the tech came out to tell me everything was fine. Cost: about $478.73 Now, to do a fair assessment you really need to know the details of what the tech did: They plugged it in to shore power and it charged properly. They ran the generator and it charged properly. Upon being fully charged, the inverter switch to float mode as it should. They stated that diagnostic required two hours of their time and charge me $360. They charged me another $90 for 30 minutes to diagnose the seat adjustment switch on the driver, side chair. The back and forth controller was not working. The conclusion was it needed a new switch. The seat switch: as I said, I already told them the switch just needed to be replaced. I did not ask them to spend another $90 just to tell me what I already knew. Plus, it didn't take me 30 minutes of time to realize the switch needed to be replaced. Any amateur could have just pushed the seat switch forward and backwards a few times and realized it wasn't making good contact. The inverter: to charge me for two hours of tech time is ridiculous. When you charge a battery, you don't just sit there looking at the battery charger and watching the needle (or digital numbers) go up. You go off and do other things and come back in an hour or two. And, of course, that's exactly what the tech did. But they still charged me for the full time. I ran all the same diagnoses that they did before I took it in for service. Actual time is less than one hour. read more

"Your check cleared. You are dead to me." The salesperson smiled. But as it turned out, he wasn't kidding. Once you have paid, you might as well just kill yourself. The RVs they sold us was not finished. More things didn't work than did work. And they didn't fix it. They just don't care. It doesn't matter who you talk to. It doesn't matter what you say. You can be pleasant, polite, patient, and thoughtful. They won't fix your RV. You can be unpleasant, mean, forceful. It doesn't matter. They won't fix your RV. You can talk to the people in the service department. Nice guys. But they could not find their backsides with both hands and a compass. You can talk to the people in sales. Incompetent and uncaring would be the nicest thing I can say about them. You can talk to the head of the place. He will tell you an endless series of prevarications. But he won't fix your RV. Because he does not care. On the day we bought the RV, they promised to fix it. They lied. They lied through their teeth. After five months--five months!--of prevarications, delays and outright, outrageous lies from a series of incompetent employees, we finally broke down and hired an attorney. (Note: I am 65 years old and have never hired an attorney in my entire life. But RV One was a low point.) As a result of my telling RV One that I had hired an attorney, they finally fixed some of the huge number of problems. If I had not hired a lawyer, my RV would still be sitting on the lot with no one looking at it. Five months after I brought it in. One series of phone calls is instructive. Over the course of three days, I called the head of the place seven times. Seven times! I never got a call back. I gave the place a rating of one star, only because zero stars wasn't an option. RV One in Charlotte is the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to do business with. I would advise anyone to shop somewhere--anywhere--else. read more

We bought a brand new 2023 Jayco Micro Feather from RV One. During our walkthrough, we called out several small issues and a few big issues but RV One encouraged us to take the trailer home and out to identify any additional issues and bring back within 90 days to have all repairs made. We did exactly that- took the trailer out for a weekend, found a few more items for the list and brought it into RV One the day we got back (all within 1 month of taking possession). Two big issues were a non-functioning hot water and inoperable tongue on the tow hitch (we literally have to beat it with a hammer to get it to go down). Small issues were missing blind sticks to open window blinds, a scratched bathroom mirror and a broken fridge door on the outdoor fridge). The trailer sat at the dealer service center for a month. We had another trip planned but they told us the work would be completed in time. We went to pick it up 2 days before our trip and RV Onetold us the two large issues were fixed but we'd have to bring it back after our trip for the smaller ones. After picking up the trailer and getting it home, we realize the black tank is completely full and we had brought it empty. So disgusting and unacceptable. The service department had been using the toilet, who knows if they were using the correct RV paper and they let it sit there for a month! When we brought the trailer home is smelled horribly and took several days to air out. We went out for the first time 2 days after bringing it home and found none of the issues were fixed as well. We've had a non-working hot water heater from day one and RV One should have replaced it but had not. So basically, my trailer served as RV One's toilet for a month and nothing got fixed. Buyer beware. If you buy a used RV please get it inspected first, even if they say they have inspected it or it meets state requirements. I have had it 6 months. I have replaced the serpentine belt after it broke in I85. I took it in December to get it winterized at a store....the break line broke in the store parking lot (fortunately it was just stopped) due to rust underneath. The belt you can explain as bad luck, the breaks they should have known better. Both items could have easily killed me, my family and others. The work that they did promise to do on it after we bought it took months (yes I know there is a shortage of labor but when you make a promise you know that shortage exists). Think twice before buying anything here. Note...this is my first YELP review. I generally don't like spending my time but when these events could easily lead to such a negative outcome I felt compelled to write one. read more

Purchased a 2023 travel trailer over Memorial Weekend. Unit was to be delivered to Myrtle Beach, SC. Following PDI, several issues were noted to be taken care of; i.e., damage to wood on dinette booths and under bed frame was to be repaired; swivel TV mount was to be installed in living area; missing table/arm to griddle to be replaced; (3) Max air vents were to be installed; missing kitchen counter extension to be installed; extended entrance handle to be installed; the living area sofa was to be exchanged for two recliners; bug guards, vent grate for refrigerator, and extended drain pull handle were to be installed. When the camper was delivered, none of the work had been done. The salesperson assured me multiple times that the camper was in the service bay and everything was being taken care of. The general manager, service manager and salesperson are now saying that because the recliners were not added to the buyers order, they will not honor that request. The salesperson assured me the switch out would not be a problem and even showed me a picture of the recliners that would be put in the camper! I mentioned to him that I did not see them listed on the buyer's order and he said he would take care of getting them added and I should not worry about it. Not only had none of the work been done, I discovered that the hot and cold water lines were reversed in the bathroom and the jacks didn't work. I do not believe the camper was ever taken into the service bay. You should strongly consider making your RV purchase elsewhere. This experience has ruined any excitement or joy of owning a new RV for my family. The people I have dealt with have been untruthful and have not honored the promises that were made. Very disappointing that people will look you in the eye and be untruthful. read more

I purchased a used 2018 5th Wheel and the sales department was amazing. During pickup I had to wait four hours for service to drive the trailer around due to faulty tank readings for black water. Once we received the trailer it needed to go back in for blackwater not showing as empty, ac not cooling, rear jack issues, and valve control area missing screws, and a dead battery. After I picked the trailer up from service I had a dead battery again, rear jack issue, and bad septic tank reading again. So a third time. This time they flushed the tank, replaced the battery and could not replicate the jack issue. This time the GM advised that I should should just pay the $100 for my warranty repair. It has to go back in again for faulty septic tank and rear jack. I would not pay to use my extended warranty when initial issues still have not been fixed. At this point a super nice staff does not constitute a competent service department. Avoid this location if you need any repairs to be done correctly. read more

We only found it they sold it because they paid off the loan - no call, no email, no contact at all. We need paperwork to cancel our Warranties and I've reached out to four different people and left voicemails/emails and still have not gotten a response. DO NOT USE THEM TO CONSIGN your RV. Go to Camping World Concord, we are getting refund from them for cancelled warranties and their customer service has been a BILLION times better. Went in to RV One's showroom at 4:00 PM on a Saturday afternoon looking for black tank cleaning solution. They had a decent selection, but only a few items were priced and the labels on the shelves didn't match the items. There were no fewer than 12 salespeople milling around the showroom/parts department and not one of them asked if we needed any help. One salesman, appearing upset from something that must have just happened, walked quickly by us as we were browsing and muttered "f*ing b*trds" loudly in our earshot. Another one made eye contact with us several times and clearly saw us holding supplies we intended to purchase, and didn't bother to tell us they had no one to ring us up. We tried to check out at the service counter, but there was a paper sign that said "parts department closed." So when we approached the center reception/customer service desk and asked where we could check out with our merchandise, we had to flag someone's attention, and the two ladies looked at us like we were making an incredible request and said, "Well, we can't ring you up here. The parts department closed at 3:00." We asked if we could go anywhere else in the store and she said no, they couldn't help us. Then one of the ladies said she guessed she could take cash (WHAT?!) and we asked her the price of one of the items and she said, "Well I can't tell you that!" How was she planning to ring us up and give us a receipt, then? We left feeling like our business was not wanted because we were only buying supplies, not a camper sale. This is poor management practice, in our opinion. At least a dozen employees milling around, and not one of them can operate a cash register? Why not keep one cashier on staff until the business closes? HIGHLY DISSATISFIED with this customer service. What kind of a business closes its parts department and doesn't see customers walking around with merchandise and tell them their registers are closed? Poor communication and poor setup. Furthermore, we went down the road to their biggest competitor, Camping World of Concord. I can't speak to their service department and some of those reviews, but their parts and supplies showroom was top-notch. We received truly five-star customer service there, and ended up leaving very satisfied with everything we were looking for. In addition, their prices on several items were much lower than identical or similar ones we price checked at RV One. I do not recommend that you buy anything from them or buy the extended warranty. We are at a complete loss now paying on a fifth wheel that we have ot been able to use in over a year. I have to give one star. My complaint is I made a deposit on a used RV that was at their store in New York. They told me that the deposit was refundable if we did not approve of the RV. The RV was in bad shape dead mouse in the kitchen cabinet, outdoor refrigerator was filthy, and flooring that need to be repair. I was told that I was going to have the refund in a week. This happened the first of January and still no refund. No one is returning my calls. I live 2 hours away. Purchased an RV in the amount of 170K nearly 3 months ago. It is still not available for pickup although it's been in their possession this entire time. Since I purchased it, they have failed at least three separate occasions to complete the initial walkthrough punch list. While in their possession they crashed my RV, and didn't tell me until I called to ask where my RV was. In fact, the second time I attempted to pick my RV they couldn't find it for an hour then brought it out with a smashed fender. The most frustrating part was the apathy and lack of concern they showed when I pointed it out. The generator has not worked properly since purchase, and the manager recently told me I shouldn't need one unless I plan on dry-docking, and that I can take the RV now if I want. Who would want to be 2K miles from home with their family unsure if they can use their generator in an emergency? This company is the most poorly managed and poorly run business I've ever interacted with. They are not trustworthy, and do not communicate across their departments. I've had to reach out to the parent company CEO and the head of RV One, but I still do not have my RV as it is now awaiting another part that they just ordered after me waiting for 3 months. Just this past week I had to threaten to report my RV stolen because they were not responding to contact attempts. Please, never purchase anything from this business that you want to be able to use or work reliably. I've now cancelled two planned trips and lost money on deposits because of how poorly this business is run. read more

We have been working with our service advisor, Wendell Helms, and has been outstanding to coordinate with us. Also, our service tech who has worked on our coach, Quinn, has also been terrific. After reading a review on here from C H., I felt compelled to leave one of my own. I have been to RV One in Charlotte a few times and have always had a great experience. Yes, when the Parts and Service Departments are closed, they have a paper sign on the counter, and one on the front door, and the lights behind the parts counter are turned off (which are great indicators that those departments are in fact, you guessed it: closed). Your review basically states you came in after hours, were unable to get your way, and you overheard a conversation that you were not Involved in (that probably won't be the last time you hear that), and decided to look like a horse's a$$ by trying to fault everyone else but yourself. During our trip, we were trying to troubleshoot an issue with one of the appliances and decided to stop at RV One Charlotte for assistance. We arrived less than an hour before closing time on a Friday and the service manager, Creighton Brooks, took time out of his busy schedule to address our issue and help get us back on the road. We bought our Aerolite 282 there in December '16. The sales experience was great but I wanted to wait until we had a chance to use the RV a few times before I made a comment. First off, we drove down from Philadelphia to save nearly $10k. Everything was excellent. Cindy was our saleswoman (awesome!!) Rich was great to do the paperwork with and I couldn't ask for a better mechanical walk through than what we got with Greg. While we LOVE our new motorhome we have some major complaints on the company RV ONE in Charlotte / Concord. Some items inside our coach went "missing" between the time of purchase and pick up. (we verified with previous owner!) The service promised was shoddy if done at all. Had not been "detailed" to the point of still dirty appliances, etc. Fluids not checked/ topped off, and the front stabilizer bar was loose and hanging low. Things we as newbies to owning a motorcoach did not realize we to go behind them and check. Silly us for believing and trusting their promises and words. We have in writing a promised full tank at time of pick-up, that tank too was bone dry. Us as well as one other person there, was told to go fill up and send receipt for a full reimbursement. Have not seen a check yet. We have called, emailed, left messages, even on the "ask us anything" link, have done all we know to do to get this straightened out but no luck. We are being treated as if WE did something wrong. Please friends, family and future RV owners, do NOT GO TO RV One!!! Straight up thieves! read more

If I could give no stars I would. We bought our RV at RV One Charlotte when they were still Golden Gait and that process was fine enough. Since then we haev had our RV in for service two times and both were horrible. The first time was only about a few months in and the entire electrical system fried. They had to send our RV over to Gastonia where it took nearly 4 months to get repaired. But that was a good experience compated to the last one. We brought our Quantum GR22 in for service a couple weeks before Thanksgiving 2020. Some was warranty, other stuff was not. What was supposed to be 4 or 5r weeks turned into several months. We were finally tld to come get our RV as it was done (but Ron in service made us pay for the non-warranty over the phone for some reason). When we get there, we checked the work. On item was to replace the carb on the generator. I opened the RV door and the carb is still brand new in the wrapper/box sitting on the floor. We drove an hour one-way after waiting literally months and the work was not even done! They also fixed a freshwater line leak that did not exit and did not fix the city line leak that did. Ron was very apologetic, said her would get it taken care of right away. 3 weeks later he finally calls to say it is fixed. We drive another 1 hour one way trip to finally get our RV. This time the generator starts but dies after 30 seconds. So the carb was fixed but they never tested to see if anything else was wrong. Of course now our rig has been there for many months and house battery is now dead. Ron says he will get the generator checked out, fixed and back to us that week. That was in February. It is now after Easter. Worse yet, I asked Ron to have Patrick the service manager call me no less than 6 times. Nothing. Crickets. So I finally call the dealership receptionist and ask to speak to Patrick. I get his voicemail and leave a message that was over a week ago. Nothing. I call and leave a message this weekend asking for a call back on Monday, and again nothing. They have had my RV since BEFORE Thanksgiving, it is now AFTER EASTER and twice they told me it was ready and both times we drive an hour to pick it up and it is not fixed. We are in the peak of RV season, we cannot use our RV and no one there seems to care at all. NEVER, EVER, EVER go there. read more

Ive been a customer of GGT for years now and have had a great experience with their parts and services guys. My recent experience with them made me want to write this review. I use my trailer for my business and transporting my tools so its important to keep them dry! I had a leak in my trailer and 3 different places couldnt seem to figure out where exactly the problem was or how to fix it. I shouldve gone to GGT to begin with cause they found it, fixed it, and did it all while I was there. I dont mind waiting there cause it gives me time to walk their lot and check out the cool trailers and setups they got around. Its like a trailer show out there. This place is ridiculous ! We have owned 4 brand new travel trailers / 5th wheels from 4 different dealerships never had any issues or problems until we purchased our 5th unit a brand new 2018 forest river motor home form golden gait at the end of April this year . We used the camper twice a total of 6 nights on the second vacation we had to leave in the middle of the night because the slide was not sealed right and it leaked water our mattress the floor the walls pillows blankets all soaked. ( On Aug. 5th ) We did not get home till 2 am we have a 6 and 8 year old who did not understand why we had to leave in the middle of the night! We called golden gait on Aug. 6th talked to Steve in service I explained the situation to him and told him we were bringing the RV that day and he told me well that's fine but we can't get to it for 2 weeks very rude acted like the situation was no big deal... we get there and Steve and Zack the service manager go out with us to look over the RV ... for a "manager" Zack never said much doesn't tell us anything just nods or says ok . So we are told they will call us with in a day or so, they don't my husband has to call them over and over they all tell us they will have the owner call us but he doesn't so then we talk to Patrick who tells us it is inside being worked on and the owner would call us ... days go by we still don't hear from the owner so we drive up there ( an hour drive ) our camper is outside and has not been worked on ! Our sales guy that sold it to us Bill acted like it was no big deal to have a brand new rv that now has water damage ! A few days later I get on Facebook on Aug. 16th and I like every negative review .. then a lady contacted me I explained everything and she had the owner Tim call my husband the next day he tells us they aren't going to wait on warranty and they will fix everything there themselves .. so my husband drives back up there a few days later on Aug. 20th to make sure they are working on it and they had ripped out the insides of the slide but still had the mattress and everything in there that had gotten wet we told them to please get that stuff out before it mildews .. so yesterday Aug.27th they call to let us know that they are going to drive it 700 miles away to the manufacture to get it fixed so they want to put 1400 miles on a new camper to take it to the place that didn't build it right in the first place oh and they also want us to drive an hour to come get all of our belongings out easier said than done we our camper is pretty full. It also has previous damage that no one showed or told us about before we bought it, we found out a week after we bought it when a body shop called us wanting us to set up an apt. to fix a bubble that is on the side that had already been worked on once before we got it, golden gait acted like it was no big deal that they sold it to us with no knowledge of this. FYI if you google bubble in fiberglass on RV everything leads you to water damage! This place is BS we truly feel like we have gotten screwed and everyone there acts like this is no big deal ! Water is a huge deal and the RV is still outside ! And the fact that it is brand new and falling apart is ridiculous ! I will try to post pics under this review! We feel like most of the people we have talked to have lied to us. I am sure if any of them were in our position they would also feel screwed over. We lost money on the night we had to leave, we have had to cancel another vacation for labor day, we are paying the payment on something we cant even use, we lost expensive pillows and sheets and more than likely will have to cancel or next vacation for our daughters 9th birthday that we have booked with other campers!
