I would give zero stars if I could...... We purchased a 2019 Flagstaff pop up camper on July 8th, 2019 from the Concord location. We went camping the same weekend and found that the camper had several issues. Three major leaks that have caused water damage on counter tops, 3 doors on the camper would not open, the lock to the main door fell apart in our hands when we went to lock it, 2 stabilizers were bent, the radio does not work, the AC dumped a lot of water on us and one of the vents feels like the air is constricted. My husband took the camper to the service department on July 17th to have repairs. Ashley Brown and the entire service department has been a nightmare to deal with, lies, avoiding returning calls and very rude. We were told it could take up to 10 weeks before it will be completed. Keep in mind we had only had the camper for a week. Today, my husband got a call that we could pick up the camper. When he arrived he was told that NO repairs have been completed or even started. Never in my life have ever seen anything like this. We are the owners of a 19 year old Nomad and not once have we had any issues. So now we have to make payments on a camper that will be sitting on Camping Worlds parking lot until they get approval through the warranty company??? There goes the trips we were taking our kids and grandkids on until the work gets completed. What a shame......I will never recommend this company to anyone to purchase a camper. To the sales department......John Kirven has been amazing to us. John has tried to help us in every way he can getting the service department to start making the repairs. Today my husband was told to not go through John anymore. read more

Terrible service, they had our rv for 3 months ... left us hanging, got on the road and system was left in winterized mode when we never requested it in the first place. Cost us extra money didnt know what they were talking about. ..denied us warranty claims...just go somewhere else! read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Horrible service! The service manager was rude and unprofessional. He shouldn't even have a job after the way he spoke to customers. Marcus Lamonis needs to step in and end this location. Repairs that were suppose to be done never were completed. read more

Terrible customer service, I took my Motorhome in for an engine oil change and a generator oil change and to replace an air conditioner. Took 4 weeks to replace the AC Unit. When I picked it up they forgot to do both oil changes. I took it back for a slide out issue. After 4 weeks still no parts and still no repair. I'm told it will be 2 more weeks . So I will be without a Motorhome for at least 10 weeks over the summer for minor repairs. No one ever answers the phone in the service department and it takes several days to get a call back when you leave a message . read more

Our RV was dropped off in January for the free 23 point check up and we were having trouble since the day we bought it brand new with the slide. I thankfully had a 6 year extended warranty. They took over 5 months to fix it, the store manager and service manager refused our requests to talk to them, and we had to resort to calling Marcus Lemonis helpline who finally was able to get them to fix it. They also told us that we needed a complete resealing as it was never sealed correctly. It was a brand new 2019 and had under 3000 miles. They charged over $1300 for the sealing and they charged shipping on parts to fix the RV plus $226 for them to wear PPE's why they fixed our RV! This is a very shady RV sales and repair place. Go anywhere else but do not go there! I wish I would've read the reviews on them before we ever took our RV to Camping World for service. We considered hiring a lawyer but decided to warn people instead. They also tried to tell us our battery needed replaced which was not true. Beware of these people! read more

Arrived at Tom Johnson Camping World with my husband. While he asked the rep questions, I went to find a grocery cart for the heavy items he was going to purchase. Although my husband was very happy with the help he received, I was disappointed that, as I found the grocery cart outside, I had to hold open the front door with one hand while trying to push the cart in with the other, all while three reps stood there watching me, offering zero assistance. I am capable of doing what needed to be done by myself. But, as I accomplished it, I thought of older people who might not have been able to push in the cart. My suggestion is automated door opening or some sort of push button for people who have disabilities entering your stores. Just a thought. read more

I put up a review the other day saying that camping world and the salesman Danny Dixon made it right. Well that changed . My husband went signed the paperwork and paid a down payment and was told to come back Friday January 28th to pick up the camper. We got a call from Danny Dixon needing some paystubs and W2 's and we sent them. Little bit later I was on the phone with the salesman Danny Dixon and told me that we aren't getting the camper after he just told us we were. While on the phone with him he called me a liar and was telling me it would be ten days before we could get out down payment back. We did get our money back that day since my husband spoke to a manager. I wouldn't never tell anyone to go to this place and buy a camper . One they get you ready and excited then they call you a liar and they have no problem lying to you and no customer service at all. The general manager was rude as well. No care at all if they screw you out of money or anything. The worse place ever !!!!!! Will be getting a camper but not from here!!!!! Worse place worse customer service worse attitudes and will screw you !!!!!! read more

I have a 2018 Jayco Seneca Super C, $200K + rig purchased from Camping world. Jayco had a recall notice for a structural defect on the Hydraulic Jacks. Brought it to Tom Johnson Camping World in Concord, they removed the Hydraulic Pump from the frame, installed the new bracket, reinstalled the Pump. I get it home and notice a puddle of Hydraulic Fluid under the unit and Jacks won't function. I bring it back into them, they look at it, and tell inform me the pump is bad, needs to be replaced and charge me to tell me. Their stance ... "coincidence". The tech that did the work is "no longer with them". Looking at the notes on the ticket there is no mention of even cycling the jacks after they completed the bracket install. They were rude, and ultimately proved their yelp and BBB ratings to be true. I'm now going to another dealer to purchase and install a new pump and reaching out to Jayco. No integrity. Stay away. read more

I was working with the customer service staff for checking-in my travel trailer for some repairs and a recall notice from Keystone. I was very pleased with the very friendly young ladies helping me get what I needed. Though I was made aware it won't be looked at for several days, it was nice for them to let me know ahead of time. In a perfect world it would be done same day, and if I was traveling, I would hope they would have put my coach next up. Just so you know, when you schedule an appointment, a week or more out, it is not to fix the problem, it is only to get a place in the queue. Do not ask for your tires to be courtesy checked for air pressure, they charge $65.00 to do it as a "service" item. This sounds odd especially if you are spending a thousand dollars in the store and garage. I did get a brake controller installed in my truck on the spot, that made me happy. Another service tech talked to me about my issues and offered many logical reasons and took time to explain the reason behind the failure so I would not repeat the same mistake. Kudos. read more

I had the worst first experience trying to buy a trailer. I wasn't greeted when I walked in and had to approach the girls at the desk to ask for help. Then my saleswoman was so rude...I couldn't believe someone would talk to me that way! She acted as if I was inconveniencing her. She's only show me one brand of trailer. She wouldn't show me the ones that I had seen online, matching my cars tow weight, and told me that they were too wide and high off the ground for my vehicle. She said I wouldn't be able to handle them. It confused me so I had to FaceTime my brother, who has bought trailers...he told us that it's the weight I should worry about, not the width. That's what I thought. She still wouldn't show me the trailers I was interested in and made a snarky remark so I had to request another salesperson. Then I got Ron Pearson who was wonderful! Knowledgeable, respectful, took time to educate me and help me figure out exactly what I wanted. But then Jake came in for the final deal and talked to me like I was an idiot. He told me the only deal they could offer me would be a 10 year loan so my payments would be low. WHAT?! 10 year loan is your best deal? I don't know if these people treated me like this because I was a single woman and wouldn't know better or what, but Ron was the only one who didn't make me uncomfortable and made me excited to buy a trailer. I ended up having to walk away when Jake told me that they don't negotiate and could only offer me a totally different older trailer than the one I was interested in. Ok then. read more

Bought a pop up camper here. Did most of it via email, then came on in to finish up. Ben was my sales guy, he was very professional and I got a deal I was happy with. This company single handedly spoiled RV camping for me and my wife. I would not buy a stick of gum from them. In the two years I owned my camper every service visit was a huge hassle. Lost paperwork, price quotes change, work not completed- three service repairs required 11 visits to get the job completed. Don't even bother calling them - they never return calls. The service manager told me that they don't even know how to access voicemail. I had to drive over to get a status of the work - weeks after it was promised. Turnover is through the roof and you will hate yourself for making the mistake of buying anything from them. Even warranty work they tried to bully me into paying for - totally unethical organization. I am amazed that they are still in business. Feel free to email me - I can give more details how my wife was totally dismissed by salesman and when I went in to complain was told by other female staff that is expected. Or how I was told that the warranty covers less as it approaches the end of warranty period. read more

Stay away from this horrific garbage repair facility. We have had our new Jayco class C motor home in for approx 2 weeks worth of a few minor warranty items....THAT WAS OVER 4 MONTHS AGO, AND ITS STILL THERE !!! I have heard every single lie, excuse and constant blame of everyone else. I called Marcus Lemonis's office, the CEO..... what an absolute farce. This guy is a joke. After 45+ Phone calls and empty promises to return calls, and "find out what's going on", to get our camper completed, it has become obvious there is zero leadership and direction from the top all the way to the bottom. It's not a simple isolated case of a disgruntled employee,...it's company wide. Avoid Camping World AT ALL COST. NEVER in my 63 years of life have I ever received such crap service. Even their own service writers have commented that "you have no idea what a cluster this place really is"....When I get my RV back..... I will NEVER walk into another Camping World again. Excellent price and service. I looked for several months for the perfect camper and the best possible place to purchase from. I worked with David Caroon and he was able to show me several different campers that fit my needs for weight and ammenties. David was there to answer any question during my search for the perfect camper. I ended up purchasing a camper and the service did not stop after signing on the dotted line like it has at several other places where I have finalized a purchase. I was given a very thorough walk-thru of the camper, walked into the parts department and introduced to employees and shown the service department. Even the financing employee was very great. David Caroon was available for a question via his own personal cell phone a couple days after purchasing the camper. Then a couple of days after that he called to make sure we were enjoying our camper. I would definitely purchase from Tom Johnson and I would recommend working with David Caroon. You will be happy and you will receive excellent customer service, a great price and excellent service. read more

OK, so this isn't my first issue with Camping World in Concord, NC. During the course of owning 2 campers, both purchased at Camping World, one from the Concord, NC location, the other from the Myrtle Beach, SC location. My first experience was horrible with the service department. After taking the camper in for minor things, I went to pick it up and it was covered with mud, they also messed up a wall while closing the slide, with the table. This is only the beginning, after pulling the camper for 4 hours, I opened the storage and my power cable was gone. #2 - new fifth wheel bought in October of 2017, the air in the Master Bedroom was not blowing cold air, a schedule appointment and 4 weeks later, nothing. This meant a call and e mail to their corporate office. After this, it took an additional 2 weeks to make needed repairs. #3 - when the new fifth wheel was purchased the Myrtle Beach store installed a Reese sliding fifth wheel hitch in my truck. It slide properly for the first two trips, was lubed accordingly and was removed from the truck for storage. I stopped in the Myrtle Beach location, they looked at it and told me to lube it. I lubed again per their instructions, nothing. So now the Concord location has had the truck for 5 days total, and stated it would be resolved by Tuesday, it's Tuesday and they will not return my calls. I've contacted Reese and per Reese, Camping World should just replace it, it's less than a year old. Camping World used the excuse of keeping my truck for pictures for Reese. Reese customer service says they do not require pictures. So before you make a purchase from Camping World, I would strongly recommend exploring other dealers and options. Sure, I've spent a lot of money with them, never again. I wouldn't purchase a damn thing, from them or any entity that they are associated with. read more

Let me start with sales which is where we started. I've bought 2 campers from this site and would recommend Ian Miller. This guy is extremely helpful and is straightforward. If you like to waste time with the back and forth then go elsewhere as he's not the one. Buying both RV's were painless and relatively quick. Now on to the service, as you know these RV's are pushed out of the manufacturer line as quickly as possible and you will most likely have some small issues with the fist few camping trips. Rick Rhodes (manager) at Camping World of Concord NC is top notch and customer service is number one in his mind. So I bought a 2017 Outback 322BH and the rear bunkhouse wouldn't stay cool with the factory 15k a/c unit. Needless to say Keystone was no help. Obviously that's why Keystone doesn't finance........they'd be out of business due to customers not paying the loans because they don't stand behind their units. Long story short Rick and Ian jumped in and helped me make the best of a bad situation. We added another A/C to the bunkhouse and it's a dream come true. Keeping the bunkhouse and the rest of the unit at 70 degrees isn't a issue now. Jumping back to Rick and his customer service, we're still dealing with issues on the BCM which Camping World has been great. A matter of fact I'm heading there not to hopefully get the entire BCM replaced........fingers crossed this will fix it. At the end of the day I'd highly recommend Camping World of Concord NC especially dealing with Ian Miller (sales) and Rick Rhodes (service). Thanks Ramsey read more

I really wish I could give an update with more stars than my original, but the service here is horrible. After my first review, they contacted us but still took another 2 weeks before we finally got our camper back ( after a month total) , water heater works but we were charged for other things we had them look at, like a broken air conditioner vent. We were told it was past 30 days so wasn't covered. And it was when they looked at it, but we had text messages that show we reported it 8 days after we brought it home. The cable TV hook up has lousy reception, we were told that's 'as good as it gets' and its the campgrounds fault. Even though the picture is perfectly clear if we hook it through a window to the cable box. The air conditioner is crap, but we will live with it until we can buy a more powerful one ( but won't be bought from these people, ever!) read more

I had found the trailer online that I thought I wanted and was ready to purchase. I had waited a while and now it was only available at a couple dealers across the state and Concord was one of them. Before I left I checked the website, then called and asked if they had that stock number available. They said yes we do and I explained I was driving 3 hrs across the state to purchase. First, we checked into the "front desk" and they paged a salesman. We hung around for about 10 mins before one of the salesmen that had been walking back and forth said he'd go ahead and help us. We walked out to the spot where the trailer should have been and nothing. We went back to the main building, he called someone to help locate the trailer. About 15 mins later, he finally comes back and says that they don't have the trailer, but the Colfax location does (transferred to another dealer). I asked to speak with the person I spoke with on the phone. Another 10 mins and I finally asked the front desk person for some assistance. He called the Statesville location to see if they had a similar model. They responded they had it and would go check to be sure. In a couple minutes, they responded yes. While on the phone, the phone sales person I talked to in the morning came out, talked with the front desk person, then disappeared again. Before I left, I asked the front desk person who she was and was there any new information. He responded that the trailer was transferred to the Colfax location. When asked why she wouldn't speak to me, there was no answer. I then asked the front desk person to call the Colfax dealer who supposedly had the trailer. They responded yes, they had it, but at my request, he asked them to go look to be sure. He provided me the phone and they started to make excuses. I told them if they wanted to sell a trailer, they needed to go physically check and call me back in 10 mins. We left and in about 10 mins they called me back saying they did NOT have it and never had it on their lot. So... somehow they lost a trailer between the two dealers. Forget the sales team at this location. The only one that was even trying to be helpful was the front desk person, Eddie(?). He's the one that should be part of the sales team. After driving 3 hrs to a dealer and not even getting an apology or anything, you can bet I will NEVER go back to this dealer again. The Camping World name is also getting hit as the overall experience with multiple dealers diminishes. While there, we also witnessed another couple having issues picking up their new trailer with a confirmed appt from the sales rep, only to be told the sales rep hadn't made sure to complete the paperwork and forgot to tell them insurance was required to leave the lot. read more

If your looking for terrible customer service. This is the place to visit! After waiting for over 20 minutes in the parts dept. Luckily for me I did not purchase my RV from them and will never have to visit this store again!!! read more

Long wait time due to Covid but that is understandable. Just be aware if you plan to visit to view campers. Anyway- we knew what we wanted and have done a ton of research. Our salesman Garrett had zero knowledge about anything we looked at. It was pretty awkward. I wish we had a salesman who KNEW the product or even knew anything about camping/towing a camper. We mentioned to him the camper we really like due to it's features- and was basically like "ok, well you should just get that one." No offering to show/compare features of their inventory. He literally just unlocked them and gave us answers like "uhhhh I'm not sure" and lots of "I don't know"s. Honestly feel like he brushed us off as people who were serious about purchasing- put a bad taste in our mouths so instead of giving him our business we are driving to Indiana to purchase the FR Ozark 2500TH (our dream toy hauler) that has much better quality and for literally 8k cheaper than the crappy ones he showed us. read more

I would need a lot of time and space to list all the issues we've had Our new Outback 330 RL unit had issues and we returned it to be fixed. Time estimate was 5 to 7 days. Took 34. They did fix our fridge but the toilet still leaked. Our brand new camper was damaged while it sat at concord to be fixed. Called about the damage and did not even receive an apology. We refused to take the camper back to get the toilet fixed. My husband called for a week before anyone would call back. He finally drove to the location to inquire about getting the toilet replaced. Ashley said it had to be ordered. They didn't stock it yet there one sat IN STOCK on his way out. Every dealing he had with her she was rude and unapologetic. Service department doesnt respond. Jordan who answers Marcus Lemonis emails where Marcus says if you aren't happy we aren't happy BLEW ME OFF and would not respond to my husband at all. If the top is rotten of course it's rotten all the way through. We were told by others to go to CW Spartanburg but then a friends camper was damaged (hit on 3 sides) awaiting repair at that location. Needless to say we are fixing our own toilet and if we have to return for any reason will be sick to leave it. Concord NC read more

I dropped my unit off on Dec 5,2018, well within my one year warranty on most things I needed repaired or replaced. I agree with other post that Keystone does not back its product. I also am not happy with Tom Johnson as they had unit for 3 1/2 months and did not clean it before returning it to me. They also did not do some work that invoices said were complete. I was also assured that any warranty work done after expiration would be posted as date the unit was brought in. I had to pay for repairs done by Samsung on my fridge as the warranty expired. I am sure that if a big name NASCAR driver brought his unit in for repairs none of this would have happened. 15 years ago I went to Marion to buy a class A coach because I was not treated fairly by Concord. Camping World Concord has some really nice campers but their service is a total disaster. They have had my camper since last December for repairs and I still don't have it back. Once again I need to give credit where credit is due. After my first review and a week after our RV purchase I discovered some water damage under our kitchen table storage area that made my stomach turn. The wall was so soft my finger went right through it and there were small ants eating up the wet wood and insulation. This is something I missed when we bought it and something I believe they missed upon their inspection when it was brought to them on trade. I know for some that will be hard to believe but I do not think they would have sent me out with this trailer knowing the damage was there. I contacted my sales person Benjamin that Sunday afternoon and he was beside himself when I sent him pictures of the damage. He told me he would have never sold me the unit knowing that was there and like I said, I believed him. He told me he would get right on it and we would have some answers regarding the damage and repair. We were already scheduled for a trip so we took the camper and used it for the weekend with no issues. Upon our return home I contacted Ben again and he told me the staff I needed to call. I was very nervous about how this would all work out. I had not read very many good reviews about service and some had me down right sick to my stomach wondering how we would pay for this work to be done. We did not have a lot off money to invest into major repairs and this seemed like a major repair to me. I left a message with the service manager Rick Rhodes and was immediately given a call back. He asked me what I had going on with the camper and when could I get it over to him. I brought the camper over that afternoon and was still very nervous, I bought an "as is" camper and it was really up to me to look this thing over when I bought it so I wasn't sure what was going to happen. I met my salesman Ben in the parking lot once I arrived and yes, my salesman Ben was involved this ENTIRE TIME making sure things were progressing and to assure me things would be fixed on my camper. I showed Rick the damage and he didn't waste anytime assuring me that he would take care of everything and how sorry he was this was missed when they inspected the camper when it was traded in. He asked me if there were any other problems with the camper and they would be taken care of as well. Rick asked if I had plans for the weekend, I had brought the camper over on a Thursday and I told him we had planned on camping the next Thursday. Without hesitation he assured me the unit would be ready to go for our trip, even after I told him we could change our plans but he would not hear of it and again assured me it would be ready. On Wednesday I was picking up my camper and one of the Technicians Tom walked me through the repair. Rick was off but of course my salesman Ben was once again out there with me walking around the camper making sure everything we talked about had been repaired and that I was happy with the results. I am not sure who all was involved in the process of my camper repair but to Rick and Ben...THANK YOU. read more

Took my Keystone Raptor here to have AC warranty work done over 2 months ago. Thinking 2 1/2 weeks should be enough time for a repair, I told them I needed to use the camper in 2 1/2 weeks. Nothing was done and I picked up a filthy trailer for my trip - they keep them across the street in a field where there's tons of dust. I was told when I picked it up a "part" had been ordered. Upon returning from our short trip I tried to take it back in and Jason, my service tech, said it would be 2 weeks or more before the part came in. After 5 weeks, nothing. When you call service, over 90% of the time you get someone's voice mail. Usually it takes several calls to get them to return your call - while I was there in service, there were people who physically came in to service because they got tired of leaving voice mails and getting no responses. After several weeks of this, I tried to call the Service Director to try and get some answers. Naturally, I got his voice mail. That was over a week ago and he has not called back. I guess the bad customer service starts at the top. I went to Camping World for the warranty work since I purchased the Raptor at the Camping World in Myrtle Beach...big mistake. So, after wasting almost 8 weeks with no results, I'll take it to another Keystone warranty dealer. read more

Bought my Camper from here in July of 2016. Went to pick it up and they had the wrong camper prepped for me to pick up. Finally got the right one prepped and had them deliver it to me. Camper was missing the tool to let the stabilizer jacks up and down. Called to get one sent to me still has not happen. Called many times to find out why I have yet to receive my tag or registration for my camper. After months of calling got the answer I was suppose to go to the DMV and get all that my self. Was told that would be taken care of when I bought the camper and the many times I called. I will never return to this location for anything. AVOID THIS PLACE FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND. read more
