We needed something for our RV and decided to check out this location to see if they had it. While we were there, I found a great deal that I couldn't pass up on a sewer fitting. The price was so great, I even grabbed 2 of them. We had a credit to use from our membership so we added a few more items to our cart to make sure to get the biggest bang for our buck. Upon getting to the register to check out, we found that the sewer fittings were miss marked and we really were getting a super duper discount. They said their mistake was our gain and they honored the marked down price for our purchase. Not too many store are willing to look a decimal place off on the price and still give you a smile while ringing you up. I had to hand it to the clerk that she was very professional and friendly to deal with. Thanks to her, we had a great visit and will continue to shop at Camping World in the future. read more

took my camper to get fixed in January, from some hail damage and they kept it for nine months and didn't do anything to it, tried billing my insurance and tried to make me pay a deductible. I didn't go for it I turned them into my insurance company and it makes me wonder how many insurance companies they screwed by doing this? they tried to have me sign a paper before they would let me pick up my trailer and basically on the paper it says they did the work and are charging the insurance company, I refused to sign. just think how many people signed it? nope never doing business with them. The manager/boss tries to blame his employees for these things. he doesn't know how to run this store. hmm maybe that's why they're closing. read more

This Camping World place does not know about RV stuff and the CEO does not know about good customer service. We're driving through I-80 and stopped here to purchase a part for our RV and this place made me waste my time and all my points for selling me a wrong RV part. The cashier told me to call the CEO number about getting my points back which I did and a very rude lady talking to me said that I've used my points and that's it I can't get it back. Unbelievable! Purchased an electrical adapter for my rv, was told my recept was saved in the computer. Long story short I lost the paper copy. Ended up not needing the adapter. Was never removed from the package. Return to the store and they were able to pull up my purchase in the computer. No issue. However refused to give me anything but a gift card because I didn't have the paper receipt. I specifically asked if I could use the receipt in the computer. Was told no problem. No thank you. I guess a $20 adapter was a cheap lesson. Won't happen again that's for sure. Oh boy what a sad, sad experience. This review is specifically for Camping World RV sales in Cheyenne, and not the company itself. I spoke to a man on the phone and set an appointment. I told him my needs regarding features and capacity. It took them awahile bring up the model the salesman suggested. As we are walking up to it we asked them (there were two salesmen) what was the difference between the city water and fresh water inlets. The RV SALESMAN said he didn't know, but he thought the city water inlet went to the grey water tank. I looked at my wife, knowing that didn't sound right, and continued with the viewing. The outdoor kitchen was missing the cooktop and only had the mini fridge. THe inside was nice but couldn't sleep the 5 people minimum we needed. We said no, and the salesman exclaims "NOBODY TOLD ME THAT!". I did. He just didn't pay attention. So he then passes us off to a guy that was clearly a new hire. We tell him our needs and he fills out a form. At this point I'm done, between no knowing a thing about travel trailers, trying to rip us off on the outdoor kitchen (they said it only came with the fridge and couldn't explain all the empty space!), and the salesman's lunch pizza being more important than the customer. Camping World Cheyenne be forewarned. Ok I'll try to write this again with less emotion. Camping World Cheyenne. Took my camper there for one warranty repair and one non warranty repair. I was quoted 350 to 375 for the non warranty window seal repair to include 200.00 labor part and shipping. When the lady called me to tell me it was done the price jumped to 599.97. Whe. I asked why she pointed out that there was a 50.00 deductible. Which I had forgotten about. So that makes the total to 425.00 the other was shop fees etc. Charging 200.oo an hour isn't enough now they are adding 174.00 for shop fees and misc. So in the end 449.00 to replace a 60.00 part. I will never take anything to them again. Unless I expect to be ripped off, again. Be forewarned! Updated. They took 174.00 off the price after calling corperate and complaining. I will say that they did make it good this time so I changed the rating from bad to good. But understand that they will still charge customers this 174.00 fees on their repairs read more

Buyer beware! We went online and did their Pre-Qualification. We knew there would be a hard pull on our credit. This was on a Sunday. Figured we would get a call on Monday. Didn't hear anything, Tuesday, got busy and didn't get a chance to call. My wife called on Wednesday and got transferred around a couple times before getting put on eternal hold. Called back to try and talk to someone in finance. Went straight to eternal hold. So she gave up. Called again next day, same run around. I got on the company chat online and made a complaint which actually went to the supposedly the "Operations Director" who actually emailed me and seemed concerned. Gave me the whole spill of "How do we earn your business back". The email came over a week after they pulled our credit. I emailed back about what happened and how they basically lost our business. Had a great experience at Camping World. Never thought I would consider buying an RV. Went in to find some camping gear and a new tent and left almost buying an RV. The salesperson was so polite and informative that if I needed an RV I would have gotten it right there and then. If and when I am ready to buy one, which will probably be soon since my two daughters are getting up in age and do not like camping in a tent, I will definitely head back to Camping World to purchase one. read more

Took my camper in for oil change in coach and generator, rebuild of my sewer line( told them it needed to be completely replaced because I already had the valve replaced once and it was still leaking, also told them my invisibrake system was not working and I also needed umbilical cord replaced between camper and tow vehicle . Left both with them for 10 days. Went to pick it up and paid 1200 for them to do two oil changes and basically install a new valve on sewer line. They gave me a new umbilical cord but didn't even put the female attachment on my camper so I had to leave it . Which also means they couldn't have attached the camper to the tow vehicle and see why the invisbrake system wasn't working! NOT happy! read more

The Cheyenne, Wyoming location is a joke. I contacted them about an RV I located online at their location. Told them that I was still rebuilding my credit since losing everything in the Covid Pandemic (lost house, car, job, etc.), and wasn't sure I would qualify for financing. They did a "soft pull" on my credit and assured me they could work with me and set an appointment. Before the appointment, they sent me financing paperwork, I knew I would have to have a hard pull, but I limit those as it hits your credit hard, at least for a couple of months. And it did, dropping my score by 30 points. Two weeks later when it was appointment time, they couldn't locate the previous paperwork and without my permission, they pulled a second "hard pull" request, the second in two weeks, dropped my score another 30 points. Still they wanted to fill out paperwork, took my bank card information in order to "hold" the RV until their one Finance Manager returned to work on Monday. On Monday, I received no call, I finally called "Danny" the finance manager (joke) who advised me that they couldn't get me financing through their normal "banks" and he had kicked it up to their VIP level to try to get special arrangements. I asked that he please not run my credit on a "hard pull" again because they had already caused my score to drop 60 points. Danny then proceeded to tell me that it wasn't their fault that I didn't have any credit to start with! I told him I checked my credit daily to which he advised that I didn't know how to pull credit properly, I just didn't know how it worked. I might be older, but I am not stupid! How rude and unprofessional. I then asked if they reviewed our debt-to-income ratio. He then said that they never looked at income (mine is very secure and I even had a co-signer with a gross monthly income of $16,000), that they only used the score. That was yesterday, today I received a very short text that said they couldn't work out anything with their VIP group. Big surprise. I am an older woman, retired, but needed the RV for the business I've started so I could travel to my client's locations, my son does not have a lot of credit, but we both have low debt and steady income. I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone. If the score is the only thing that they look at, then they should have told me upfront when I called and not after I took the time to drive 80 miles one way to their location and allow them to pull my credit. If a person will lie, they will steal. Stay away from this company and especially the Cheyenne, Wyoming location. read more

Several people were helpful in the sales process but when we went to check out we had to ask twice for someone to come to the counter . There were 6 employees sitting there but none of them were "allowed to run the register." I took my RV in due to my coolant that shares lines with engine and belly heat blew. Long story short, they "fixed " it. 93 miles later it blew again. They left me out in the cold. I called, and talked to Mike. When I asked if they tested it, after "fixing" it, they said no, they only rehooked the lines. Anyone with any sense knows you do a pressure test. It takes 2 minutes. They said, there must be something else wrong. Well, if you had run the test before signing off, I wouldn't have been stranded on I-25, 93 miles later. You gave me BS info when I called. Yes, we're traveling long distance, and you knew, we wouldn't be in this situation had your tech actually done his job. Your cute courtesy inspection is a joke. After buying a fifth wheel that I needed to live in I discovered that I was charged on the high end for this rig. I tried to work a deal for their deception but they didn't come through with all that they promised. To make matters worse the rig had a laundry list of issues I was having with this junker. I dropped my camper off about a week and a half before my anniversary trip with my wife. The water system just needed to be troubleshoot as it was leaking in multiple places. Nearly a week goes by and I'm never contacted even once. I call the service department and they inform me they haven't even looked at it yet. The next day, I was told I would get an update and never did. I called again and all they had done was a diagnostic that told me I needed a new water heater. I don't think it's crazy to expect a service department to look at your vehicle at least the day after you drop it off and had this been found a day or so after I dropped off, me and my wife's anniversary wouldn't have been ruined.
