I went into Camping World to buy a travel trailer for my daughter who is moving from Arizona and is going to live in it. Bendan, the salesman, had my credit ran so we know what we're working with. I picked one out. None of the campers are hooked up so it's a guessing game if the water or electric really work. They do minimal inspection on travel trailers unless I pay $2000-$3000. A high price to make sure everything works. We did the financing. First we tried with my daughter on the loan and was told I'm better off doing it in just my name. I was told I was approved, gave what I was told was non-refundable $250 to hold it. I signed financial papers, paid for insurance (I was given the number for Good Sam) and got it street ready. I needed more to put down however, the money would not be available until after I was on the road. Brendan asked if I could have the down payment in 2 weeks. I told him yes. I was told to stop at any Camping World and pay the rest of the deposit when I had it. I did that. The Camping World in Little Rock had no idea what I was talking about. I called Brendan who seemed to be confused if I was approved or not and he said they had texted and called me. I received none of them. He referred me to Eric in finance who told me an appointment has to be made to pay at another CW. No one told me that. Brendan did not do that when he told me to do so. Eric told me I was not approved then said I was approved and just needed to prove my income. He also said the $250 was refundable. I work for cash and offered the documentation I have and he said he will call the bank and see if it's acceptable. Apparently the bank never called back because Eric never called me back. Brendan called me today and I told him I'm no longer interested. I've been jerked around, lied to and no one can get on the same page. After reading their reviews. my experience is more the norm. He denied telling me I was approved. He went back and forth, so it wasn't clear if I was approved or not and told me it's my fault I bought the insurance. He then told me I needed a co-signer. This is new. The needing different things from day to da is very frustrating. Things changed daily with these people. Nothing they told me was the same from day to day. It was a very confusing and frustrating experience that added 90 minutes to my already long trip. I have no idea why they had me sign financial papers if I didn't fit the ever changing requirements. This experience was confusing, frustrating and leaves me in a situation where when we're home, there is no place for my daughter to go and no where to put her belongings. I live in a very small cabin built for 1. This situation is going to cost a lot of money for a hotel for her until we can find a travel trailer through someone who knows what their doing and doesn't change their story on a regular basis. I talked to a few other and literally every other place I talked to does all the inspections and repairs CW wants $2000-3000 for and it doesn't cost more. I found a newer, bigger, better quality travel trailer for half the price. I didn't realize how over priced CW is until I shopped elsewhere. Don't go here. There are plenty of other RV and travel trailers in Chattanooga that do thing respectfully, legally and they tell you the same story from day to day. Their clear on financing and new requirements don't pop up. They call and text when they say they did and even hook them up to electric and water so I can see everything works. I didn't need a co-signer and the interest rate is good. After reading other reviews, I'm so thankful I ended up not buying from them. Where to start. Positive statement first: Our salesman Gary was great. Past that it has been so very unpleasant. 45 items that need to be fixed on our new Keystone Raptor 415 camper from the time we pulled it off the lot. We were told our unit was ready to pick-up when we purchased it. That they (service team...aka Ric the head of service, etc) had gone through our unit and it was ready for us to take. We purchased our unit June 23, 2026. Beautiful unit (Raptor 415), but the dealer left glass shards in the shower pan and glass slide trays(I cut my hand from the shards when I was wiping it out-I had no idea it was there due to not knowing the glass shower doors had been broken), the railing that goes around the toy hauler ramp when folded out, almost fell on us when folding it out because the dealer was ask to adjust this and left the bolts out/plus the hinge was damaged by someone and this was never brought to our attention. I had the dealer put slide toppers on the unit slide outs, which they messed this up at the sofa slide out. The topper is not installed correctly (slide topper not aligned correctly and causes the slide to bind when going in plus the bar that goes into the bracket has approximately 6-8" on one side and a small amount on the other, they will say it is because of the awning, but they never brought this to my attention or i would have decided to go with a small options on the topper), the gauges for the grey/black tanks do not read correctly, because the dealer didn't winterize the unit correctly, which we were told the unit was new and had been gone through, they cut the black underbelly to drain water from it(didn't find this out until we drove it off the lot and just happen to notice something hanging under it).....I could go on and on. They send an email saying they will buy back the camper and if it is not the best offer they will pay 1000.00 to us. Never have heard back about this. I am sure like all the other post, they will apologize. All I can say is, the apology you are about to give is not enough. We, the consumer trust you. Your word means nothing outside of action. Your attempt to fix an item here or there is not professionalism by all means. I have had to get Keystone involved to fix the damage. Please wish me luck. The last advice I can give is please be ever so selective when purchasing. I would definitely not do this again. I would buy used. At least you know what you're getting. read more

Luckily we had an independent inspector check it out or Lord only knows what we would have gotten. We asked for the unit to be cleaned and two sets of keys when it was delivered. NOT. CLEANED. AT ALL!!!! Luckily it's a new unit but there is stuff everywhere inside!!!! And keys .... NOT. EVEN. ONE. SET!!!!!! Luckily the driver owned a camper and gave us his key to get inside (can't get any of the outside storage open) since most RVs use a universal key. When we called and asked for keys to be overnight since it was their mistake the answer was no. Not let me look into it just flat out no!!!!! Gee, thanks. Drove 4 hours to pick up our camper just to have the underpinning fall out and the whole bottom of the camper was dripping wet from where they "washed it". They told us warranty would handle it. The camper is two weeks old and we are still waiting for it to be fixed, even went to a closer Camping World dealership. How can you charge $1000 for a camp ready package and not fill the propane or do a quality control inspection?? ...outdoor speakers aren't working, the water heater was intermittent at best, the slide out is not adjusted properly, did not show us how to use the back up camera...and not one soul has contacted us about if the issues have been resolved. Bought a camper from the camping world in Chattanooga Tennessee in August 2025 and had to contact them multiple times in order to receive my plates. Still waiting on the title as we paid with a certified check. Was asked by them multiple times to contact my county clerk to see where my stuff was ( a service that we paid for). It is now October 16 2025 and I just got my tags today. No title no answers just poor service and high pressure sales tactics. Paid with a certified check and still had to speak with the finance manager for high pressure ad ons they wanted to sell. I would give the service advisors 4 stars. However, this shop took advantage of a total loss claim of mine. I had rodent damage to water lines and flooring. CW did not include the flooring because they said there was prior flooring damage. Of course there was because it's 15 years old but also had plenty of new damage directly related to the water leaks caused by mice chewing the lines. CW sent their estimate to State Farm who eventually paid CW more than $4,000. Then when CW got all the work they could out of my camper they sent the flooring estimate to State Farm as a supplement. CW knew if they included the floors SF would have totaled the RV immediately. But they played the claim, got $4000 worth of work and by doing so took more than $3,000 that would've been part of the settlement to me from SF. I was referred to this CW by my uncle who said they seemed eager to do good work fast. They did good work and fast. The problem is, they should have sent SF an estimate with all the damage initially. Update: finance people and sales people do not talk to service and it's a shit show but the Service manager went out of his way to send someone out. Since Saturday this Keystone Outback had a heating failure, on demand water heater failure. Bathroom door fall off, bed get stuck in the up position while trying to store items under the bed. Screws completely missed the hinge holes. Just a crap job from the factory but the Service manager stepped up and sent help. Will update when service tech is done. ---- They sure are responsive and helpful before the sale but after....forget it! You're on your own. Josh was our sales person and nice as pie until there is a problem and you need his help then he's busy with another customer and doesn't call back. We had a warrantee issue, thermostat went dead and nights are pretty cold still in Evensville, TN. We bought the bells and whistle after market warrantee that meant someone would come to the unit and make repairs, but that turns out to be BS. Good Sam will come out but they will charge you for labor and parts even on warranted items. The phone greeters are unhelpful and simply say " I just answer phone and we're busy today with deliveries so you'll have to wait" Service says "...can't help you. Bring it in and we might be able to look it over..." Well that's not the service we paid for! NOT RECOMMENDED!! read more

Another Camping World maintenance duaster! Just over one year ago our middle Air Conditioner quit working. We had just sold our house and had started heading west to our new house. It was June and the only place that could install a new AC before September was the Camping World in Chattanooga TN. With a lot of reservations we went there. Well my reservations were right. Today outside of Oklahoma City we pulled into a rest area. My wife when back to the kitchen area and informs me we have water dripping out of a ceiling light. I knew it has to be from the middle AC. I removed the light fixture and just turned off the AC. When we got to the campground later I went up to see what was going on. Long story short. One of the FOUR different drain hoses that were spliced together was split at each end. The yellow plastic wire loom hose in the picture was leaking. There is a combination of 1/4 and 3/8 size hoses some with plastic push on connectors and some just pushed together. On top of that wires were spliced together with masking tape. A wire was terminated with roof sealant. The junction block where 120v is connected had just one wing nut holding it in place. The other side of the junction block had at one time been taped to the bottom of the unit. I made some temp repairs to get us to it destination in about a week. Then it is a complete rework of the wiring and drain plumbing! I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH CRAPPY WORK IN MY LIFETIME!!!!!! read more

Dropped my camper off for service which it needed and I really wanted it washed too. So I go in the service department and start looking at the service packages. The premium package they were selling me on included everything I needed and when I asked about it being washed he said $125 on top of the $990 service package. I said ooohh I really want it washed so let's look at a lower package so I can afford the wash too. And he said hold on and walked back to a room to speak with someone and then came back and said ok if you go with the premium package we will throw the wash in with it. So I reluctantly said ok and agreed to this. Fast forward to today.. the photos quite literally speak for themselves. This is the wash. And now I am wondering if anything actually got serviced. We went to Camping World even after we heard all the bad reviews but thought we would judge for ourselves. We found a RV we liked, they gave us a price in our budget and was told they would have the paperwork ready to sign in a couple days. The next day we got a call back stating the bank wouldn' t finance, which was no way true. Our credit score was great. Then they backtracked and said they needed more money for the RV and more down payment than was agreed on. Will never recommend them to anyone. read more

Referred a friend here based on reviews. Not only did they NOT fix the issues on the RV, but they caused additional problems after charging almost $8,000 for nothing. The customer service was piss poor, the management was unhelpful, and actually rude. I cannot believe the level of unprofessionalism and nonchalance from a seemingly top tier company. 0/10 would recommend again. I actually listened in over the phone while management blamed my friend for issues with the RV that were not fixed. I was stunned! I am so upset, that I'm currently asking questions of my lawyer friends to see what can be done. I will also be contacting the BBB with my friend, because this was a huge expense to walk away with more issues and no actual resolution to the original problem. Terrible company. read more

If you buy from them be aware that any down payment you give them will be taken and pocketed by the stiff-necks in the finance and sales booth. When they ask if you want a warranty, they will finance the warranty based on how much you paid down. After all is done, you notice that your down payment doesn't even factor in. I'm guessing based on my experience with them this far, if I need them to honor the warranty I will be told my problem 'is not covered under the warranty'. When they sat down to verify my name, social and date of birth, the finance guy, Mr. Day, was so loud that I noticed 3 people made direct eye contact with me as Mr. Day announced my name, social security number and birth date out loud. I wanted to put the paperwork in his mouth for being so careless with personal information. But what does he care? It's not his P.I.I. that get's stolen. Why couldn't he just point to my information on the paper and ask me if it was correct? I over heard the sales/finance guy talking to a service tech about me. He said I tried to 'pull a fast one' because I didn't want to pay $1000 for them to install a hitch. All because I bought the hitch from them for $460 and didn't pay them $500 to install it. And they say I'm the one who pulled a fast one. When they brought my camper from their sales yard, they just dropped it off in the drive way almost hanging off the pavement. No warning or anything. Had I not been looking for it, who knows how long it would have sat there in the traffic? There were plenty of open parking lots but they didn't care, they had my contract. I do not recommend doing business with them and wish I had gone to a small local dealer instead. I'm sure much of the good reviews here are from the sales and finance people. After seeing all the great "reviews" (are they fake? bots?) I decided to make a two hour trip to Camping World to have my coach looked at. It turned out to be one of the worst decisions I have ever made... After bringing my coach in for a dining room slide out that was stuck shut, they blew my hydraulic motor pump during their horrendously poor mechanical testing. They should have not even been pressing the slide out button to run the motor because they knew it was stuck shut, they clearly just burnt it out. Then they tried to tell me I needed an entire new system, motor pump, control board, valves, solenoids, etc (see screenshot of their diagnostic testing). Prior to their testing, my hydraulic motor and system were working fine, I have been using it everyday for the last month for my back bedroom slide out as well as my leveling jacks. After they blew the motor, my bedroom slide out did not work same as the leveling jacks since they are all on one system. So that meant I could no longer access any of my clothes in the bedroom drawers and I could not level my coach which endangered my AC and refrigeration system since they have to be level to function properly. RV parts are hard to come by and most parts are 3-4 weeks out, so this is not a quick fix. Camping World failed to take any responsibility for the damage they had done to my coach and weeks of uncomfortable living they had caused. Rick, the service manager tried to offer my diagnostic fee back of $150, which is a slap in the face because the motor alone cost me $900 plus 3 hours of labor, so about $1,500 total. Because of the extensive damage done to my coach I am forced to take legal action against Camping World. I ended up bringing my RV to a local shop, they put a new motor in and the back slide out and leveling jacks went back to working properly, meaning I DID NOT need an entire new system. It was the motor they blew that caused all the issues. It turns out, the hydraulic system's dining room slide out solenoid was malfunctioning, which is only a couple hundred dollars to fix. This was diagnosed by the local shop within minutes. Camping World's horrible mechanical services and bad customer service, has cost be over $2,000 dollars of expenses and a month of living in a non functioning coach. Did they fail to recognize that if they provided better customer service and took responsibly, I would have spent tens of thousands of dollars getting my RV serviced their for maintenance and repairs over the course of my lifetime? I hope you save your money and time and drive or get towed far away from Camping World. P.S. - I also reached out to their corporate office because I knew Marcus Lemonis was the chairman, the lead star in the TV series "The Profit" who focuses all on customer service. I have a 37' sprinter that I had to take to camping world of Chattanooga because of a wheel bearing and axle problem and I will say they fixed the wheel bearing and axle but I told the service rep that I was going on a long trip in a few months and since it was here would they please replace all 4 tires with tires equal or better than what was on the camper, my camper is 9,000lbs before I loade it so after being loaded it is 11,000lbs. They put tires rated to be spares also only rarer to be on a 4800lb camper, don't let these idiots replace your tires they will get you killed! read more

Maintenance Dept. All I wanted was new tires and an inspection of my travel trailer. When I picked the trailer up it was raining and that night I had leaking around the air conditioner, the floor near the entry was spongy, I have siding where the awning is attached coming off and the gray water leaking out. The gray water valve would not close and the water tank outlet cap leaked, thank goodness it wasn't the black water. We did not have all these problems going in, but did have them going out. read more

The sales people are great till you sign the contract and than your no longer their problem. The RV had a gas leak that needed to be fixed as they can't sale it. They also said they would fix some other stuff. When they delivered my RV they didn't walk me through how it functions, they through all my instruction manuels in the back, which broke an important remote, they said they cleaned it but I just spent the last 1.5 hours cleaning the shower. They left my black tank 3/4 way full, my propane tanks were almost empty and than I had a propane tank leak at 2 am and they couldn't send anyone out till Monday and I called on a Friday! BEWARE: Numbers Trickery at Camping World Please keep in mind that the only reason I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1, is that I believe the salesperson was completely innocent in this very deceptive game! My wife and I arrived at Camping World Chattanooga on Sunday around 1100. As COVID's economy has made a huge dent into our budget, yet we still love the outdoors, I was hoping to pick up a small pre-owned camper around 10-12K. We met our salesman while we were looking and explained this to him. He had a 2017 Jayco Jay Feather 16XRB, which really caught our interest. He told us it listed for $14,999, but it was a unit that was forced upon them from another Camping World in Kentucky, so make an offer. We looked the unit up and down and decided to do just that. As we sat down to talk numbers I explained our situation very openly and honestly to the sales rep, who actually admitted he was fairly new. We sat down, and waited for his return. He shared the "starting numbers" with us. Selling price was $14,999.00, Vacation Pack was $695.00, Hitch Work was $995.00 and $45.75 for tag & title, and of course sales tax, which all equaled $18,357.44. This number was not in our budget, so he reminded me to make offer. I made an offer of $10,500 plus tax and tag & title, which like his buyer's order included Vacation Pack and Hitch Work. He left table to meet with sales manager. Salesman comes back 15 minutes later and said sales manager made a counter offer of $14,000.00 plus tax and tag & title. Still out of what my wife and would have felt comfortable spending. We talked a little and decided to go up a bit. I offered $12,250.00 plus tax and tag & title. He then countered again with $13,000.00 "As Is",to which I could not do because I needed the Hitch Work. I then made my last offer of $13000.00 plus tax and tag & title and specifically wrote down includes 2 tires, Vacation Pack and Hitch. The salesman took offer to management and came back asking if I could give up the tires, because Camping Worlds tire prices are too high. I agreed to take the deal, without the tires for $12,800.00 plus tax and tag & title which included Vacation Pack and Hitch Work...no tires. We thought we bought a camper. The problems started when the salesman came back with the paperwork pack. We start signing everything and then get to the numbers. The selling price got back to $14490.00 plus all the extras!!!!! When I thought I was negotiating in good faith, it meant NOTHING to Camping World Management!!!!!! We left and went to calm down and eat some lunch. Camping World succeeded in their plan to make us "fall in love" with the camper, so we finished eating, went back and offered them $500 more or $13,300.00 plus-plus and the manager came out and said no. He did not care that HE had agreed to the $12,800.00 plus-plus number. No integrity to himself, no integrity to Camping World, and total disgust of two people that negotiated in a very open and honest manner. I took pictures of the handwritten buyer's order and the buyer's order they tried to sneak in on my wife and I. If the Chattanooga newspaper would like to print this story, I will be glad to provide them with all the proof they need!! read more

I love this dealership. My wife and I recently bought a new Fifth Wheel from them. Our salesman Russell And the rest of the sales team were wonderful and patient in every way. We took 2 months to look, shop, talk and decide on the right unit. NEVER felt pressured, only supported. A month after our purchase we had a list of 6 or 8 things that weren't quite right and Jessica in the service department got us in right away and knocked out our list in 1 day! Paid 23k cash for a 2021 Salem Forester from Chattanooga location. Not only did I receive the run around on purchasing the unit, 6 months later I started to have multiple problems go wrong. There Good Sams, Warranty, etc is useless at camping world. Not only do they want you to wait to get serviced, then when you do service it, it takes them forever. The service tech actually hung up on me in Knoxville. Corporate is useless as their locations are. 2 different conversations with Corporate, same story. I purchased an e-gift card for my aunt for a Christmas gift and it was delivered to an incorrect email address. I have talked to Camping World on three separate occasions and each time they have been no help what so ever. They have now washed their hands of the issue and telling me I need to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I have also submitted three separate investigations with the third party who handles their gift cards and no response. Will never purchase anything from Camping World again!!! read more

If I could give a zero star or less than zero review, I would! Our one year old camper has been with this vendor for five months for repair of several simple warranty related issues. I understand the unusual circumstances of the pandemic but that having been said, this service ordeal has been one of the most frustrating that I have ever encountered. The lack of customer service, communication, follow up, and even basic consideration has been extraordinary and the corporate assistance of Camping World has been no better. We still do not have our camper back and even if we receive it as "promised" later this week, the repairs will not be fully completed. I just hope the repairs that have been completed are satisfactory. I will never use Camping World of Knoxville or any of their locations in the future not because of the delay in completion of the work but rather the total lack of consideration for the customer and lack of hospitality. My wife and were interested in upgrading our travel trailer and stopped by Camping World in Calera Alabama to check out their inventory. At first everything was fine, the salesman was helpful in showing what they had that fit our needs. Then he wanted to talk about figures which we were interested in doing. What a mistake! I have bought 3 houses, a condo, numerous trucks, boats, camper and other items over the years and I have never experienced such high pressure sales from the salesman and the sales manager. We kept telling them we were not buying anything that day but they just kept on pressuring us to the point we had enough and walked away. Be forewarned! Went to camping world because we were recommended by family. They were told that if they brought in more customers they would get points towards the store to spend;however, ours sales associate informed us that the $100 dollars they would receive as store credit would just be $100 added to our overall price! How is this ethical and/or possible?! Financing through them is a nightmare! It was easier buying our house. We ended up going through with the purchase but immediately regretted it once we got home. We are already having problems with the camper and they NEVER answer the phone. Sooo disappointed with this place. read more

This is a review of the service center only. I debated giving them a 3 but I really couldn't decide maybe you can based on my review. Our class A motorhome had been having problems starting for several weeks. My fiance is very mechanically inclined so he had been able to limp us along but by the time we got towed in here he was at his wits end. The reason we decided to get towed here was that when I called ahead they told us that we could hook up in the service bay and stay in our RV on site while waiting for any necessary repairs or parts. We are full time in the RV so this is always a huge plus. However when we arrived by tow truck they acted like they had never told me that on the phone. They said it was not an option. So here we were stuck with 3 dogs and trying to find a hotel while they figured out what was wrong. Not the slap in the face I needed at that moment. When we came in JB (my fiance) talked to the mechanic and explained what he thought the situation was. After a few hours they called us to say that they agreed with his diagnosis and were going to order the part. After 5 long days in a hotel they finally called to say the RV was ready to go. We got back in the RV and secured our belongings for travel. We honked and waived to the staff as we pulled out. I let out a quick "Weeeeeeeee!" Then 30 yards away from the door of the service office the old girl died again. For anyone who hasn't seen our blog (www.keepcalmandrv.com) we have an ultimate destination of Northern Wisconsin for my first travel job as a PA. We left Florida February 10th (2 days later than planned due to a flat tire in the Mini Cooper) and had about 3 weeks of adventuring planned before we had to arrive in Wisconsin for work to start March 6th. We are very fortunate that we have extra time for these breakdowns as they have wasted over a week of our trip. Can you imagine if we were on our one week family vacation? We would have spent the entire week broke down. We would have missed our return to work and likely been fired from our jobs. Relationships would have fallen apart under the financial strain. We would have had to move back in with our parents which would have hurt them more than it hurt us. Newly single in this day and age we would certainly have contracted a sexually transmitted disease which we could not afford to treat. All of this for a family vacation on the open road? But don't let that little tale deter you, the RV life is wonderfully freeing. Our latest in the string of RV mechanics called himself PK. After the 3 second glory ride and subsequent breakdown Jerry walked back to the office. They were still counting our money as JB explained that we hadn't even made it off their property prior to engine failure. Several minutes later PK buzzed out in his golf cart. I judged him considering we remained paces from the service center but I hoped his work ethic was better than his exercise discipline. JB and PK started talking mumbo jumbo about the engine. All the acronyms and shop talk made me want to punch them both so I decided I would find a laundry mat. Any strong female knows that when you need to be alone you should hide in the laundry room. I will say that the serenity of ones own laundry room does not quite compare to a public laundry mat. I had a nice but one sided conversation with the "Mat Manager" Len. He told me that he had worked at the laundry mat for 7 years, 7 days a week without any sick days. As I listened to him talk I compared his stable lifestyle to my own haphazard situation. 1. Have 3 weeks off of which 5-7 days of them may be spent problem solving your pesky RV. 2. Dedicate my life to pesky stains and bleach spills so that I can brag to future patrons about my perfect attendance record. Option 1 while stressful still comes out ahead. Laundry done, I grabbed 2 footlongs from 'pedophiles are us' AKA Subway and headed back to Camping World. As I pulled in JB and PK were ready to set out on a test drive to which I was neither privy nor invited. They were nice enough to unload the dogs on me as they peeled out of the lot. I was starving so I sat on an upturned bucket in the rain eating 6 inches of soggy footlong while the dogs splashed in the surrounding puddles. A few weeks ago I may have garnered some attention from the mechanics but it seems the stress of recent breakdowns have done a number on my appearance as not one cat call was heard. Perhaps Len is right. Stability means never having to hope for a whistle while staring down the rear end of a service bay in the rain. Luckily my depressing thoughts were fleeting. PK and JB returned triumphant that once and for all the problem was solved. Trumpets sounded. White horses with plumes trotted around the RV in a wonderfully coordinated formation.
