I went into Camping World to buy a travel trailer for my daughter who is moving from Arizona and is…read moregoing to live in it. Bendan, the salesman, had my credit ran so we know what we're working with. I picked one out. None of the campers are hooked up so it's a guessing game if the water or electric really work. They do minimal inspection on travel trailers unless I pay $2000-$3000. A high price to make sure everything works. We did the financing. First we tried with my daughter on the loan and was told I'm better off doing it in just my name. I was told I was approved, gave what I was told was non-refundable $250 to hold it. I signed financial papers, paid for insurance (I was given the number for Good Sam) and got it street ready. I needed more to put down however, the money would not be available until after I was on the road. Brendan asked if I could have the down payment in 2 weeks. I told him yes. I was told to stop at any Camping World and pay the rest of the deposit when I had it. I did that. The Camping World in Little Rock had no idea what I was talking about. I called Brendan who seemed to be confused if I was approved or not and he said they had texted and called me. I received none of them. He referred me to Eric in finance who told me an appointment has to be made to pay at another CW. No one told me that. Brendan did not do that when he told me to do so. Eric told me I was not approved then said I was approved and just needed to prove my income. He also said the $250 was refundable. I work for cash and offered the documentation I have and he said he will call the bank and see if it's acceptable. Apparently the bank never called back because Eric never called me back. Brendan called me today and I told him I'm no longer interested. I've been jerked around, lied to and no one can get on the same page. After reading their reviews. my experience is more the norm. He denied telling me I was approved. He went back and forth, so it wasn't clear if I was approved or not and told me it's my fault I bought the insurance. He then told me I needed a co-signer. This is new. The needing different things from day to da is very frustrating. Things changed daily with these people. Nothing they told me was the same from day to day. It was a very confusing and frustrating experience that added 90 minutes to my already long trip. I have no idea why they had me sign financial papers if I didn't fit the ever changing requirements. This experience was confusing, frustrating and leaves me in a situation where when we're home, there is no place for my daughter to go and no where to put her belongings. I live in a very small cabin built for 1. This situation is going to cost a lot of money for a hotel for her until we can find a travel trailer through someone who knows what their doing and doesn't change their story on a regular basis. I talked to a few other and literally every other place I talked to does all the inspections and repairs CW wants $2000-3000 for and it doesn't cost more. I found a newer, bigger, better quality travel trailer for half the price. I didn't realize how over priced CW is until I shopped elsewhere. Don't go here. There are plenty of other RV and travel trailers in Chattanooga that do thing respectfully, legally and they tell you the same story from day to day. Their clear on financing and new requirements don't pop up. They call and text when they say they did and even hook them up to electric and water so I can see everything works. I didn't need a co-signer and the interest rate is good. After reading other reviews, I'm so thankful I ended up not buying from them. I can't imagine what kind of fresh hell I would have to deal with.

Even with some of the financing changes it was all in all a positive experience and I'm truly happy I didn't judge this place by the reviews on Yelp. I am only giving this a 2 star because our sales rep was absolutely amazing. We had two sales…read morerepresentatives working with us. One was newer and one was to make sure she did everything correctly which I did not mind at all! The issue I'm having with camping world (this one in particular) is that they told us we were approved for the trailer we were looking at. They told us the monthly prince and who we were approved with. We made a deal that we wanted to see the trailer hooked up to make sure the lights and utilities worked before we took the trailer off the lot. They agreed and we signed paperwork. Tell me why 2 days later we get a call saying we need a co-signer and that we weren't approved? I told them there must be Miss communication happening because we were approved. We waited to hear back. We didnt hear anything so we figured no news is good news! The day we agreed to see the trailer hooked up, our friends came down with their truck because I figured there wouldn't be an issue and we could use their truck to tow it back to the house. We were then informed that we were still waiting to be approved and that our monthly payments went down because our credit was better than we told them! I started to get nervous because we already signed papers. To make it worse, the trailer was not hooked up. And we would have to wait additional time for it to be hooked up! We decided to go get something to eat and while we were eating we were told we were not approved. This is absolutely insane to be going back and forth with customers who already signed paperwork and had an agreed upon date to see the trailer. We already agreed how much to put down, and what our payment would be and who we were financing with. This is awful business practices

We purchased a 2018 Keystone Carbon from Mike at Chattanooga Camper Sales (CCS) in August of 2020…read more Even after reading multiple questionable reviews about thousands of $ of repairs, we were convinced by the warranty from CCS that we would be covered if something happened. We've now learned that we should have NOT bought from CCS under any circumstances. Here are 8 reasons why: 1. CCS recommended and installed a sway bars hitch system rated to 50% of trailer weight. Within 6 days, the hitch was bending and could have resulted in a catastrophic failure. This is criminal negligence. 2. CCS was negligent in maintaining the tires in working order, and within 8 hours of driving off the lot, two tires blew 3. CCS was negligent during the titling process and sold the trailer with an incomplete title. The title was missing multiple signatures & details which required multiple trips to the DMV to fix. 4. CCS installed a faulty fuse in our truck which required a repair from Ford Dealer 5. CCS failed to fully inspect the trailer even after assuring us everything was in working order. We discovered the speakers and the stove fan were broken even after we asked CCS to fix these items. 6. CCS lied and said the Fresh Water indicator was working. We had asked CCS to fix the fresh water indicator twice, and after both times, they said the indicator was fixed even when it was still broken as later confirmed by a different repair shop. 7. CCS was negligent in inspecting the sewer system and sold a trailer with a faulty system. The tanks on the trailer are mislabelled, and the valve on the second gray tank is broken. 8. CCS failed to prepare the trailer and sold it with empty propane tanks,a faulty battery, and one set of keys. CCS has taken advantage of us as new trailer owners and sold a "lemon" to us requiring thousands of dollars of repairs. DO NOT buy from CCS under any circumstances.
