Detail Depot We took our brand new black Infiniti QX60 in to Detail Depot to have it professionally coated. I had read about the coatings and was thinking this would be the thing to do to protect our investment and keep it looking good for the long haul. I found Detail Depot by doing a Google search on Nano Ceramic Coatings in Chattanooga. They had some really good online reviews so I decided to call them. A very pleasant man named Bruce answered and was very helpful and put me through to the Owner Chris. I discussed possibly having the coating applied to our car. I had read good things about the Ceramic coating technology and was leaning toward having this done. He discussed all of the Pros and Cons with me. He stated that this was the best thing that had come along in his lifetime of doing this type of work! However, there weren't really any Cons other than it's expensive to have it done and to have someone do it that knows what they are doing because once it is applied you can't get it off without color sanding your car!  He was really excited talking about this technology and guaranteed me that if I wasn't 100 percent sure I could easily see my money was spent wisely that I would have to pay nothing!      Well for those of you that have ever had black cars, you know how difficult it is keeping fine scratches and swirl marks from showing up in your pretty paint job. Our car had only been washed twice and there were already fine scratches showing up and I am a very meticulous had wash only kind of guy. This is why we opted to have this done. As Chris explained to me, the car had to be perfectly prepared which meant a long process of clay barring, polishing, and removing any scratches or imperfections before applying the coating. Otherwise the coating would just lock all that stuff into our paint. Preparation is key and is also where most of the expense comes from.      Okay... Enough said about all that. It's time to pick up the car! Let me tell you - I had big expectations but I wasn't prepared for what I saw. Our car was the shiniest, glossiest, deepest black, flawless paint job ever! He was absolutely spot on about everything he had said! We were in awe of the work they had performed and could easily see our investment was worth every penny and more. I plan to have my black Escalade EXT truck done now!      I highly recommend having your car Ceramic Coated by Detail Depot or for any other detail needs you may have. My car had years of neglect. I'm confident there was a meal of yucky things between the seats, including melted gummies. I recall a 12 oz coke being spilled in the backseat and was cleaned up...mostly. Detail Depot over behind the car dealerships on Shallowford did an AMAZING job. I cannot believe it's the same car. No stinky feet smell, mystery odors, nothing but cleaned, conditioned leather. It was worth every penny. I know we could get more for it if we traded it in then we spent cleaning it up. This detail shop was recommended by the service department at my Volkswagon dealer. I had some paint transfer from another car which must have rubbed against my Atlas in a parking lot. The guys at Detail Depot did a great job of buffing out the damage and restoring my car to original condition. I took my car in in late afternoon on a Thursday. I had a hybrid film and ceramic application on my 2021 Challenger R/T. Chris and his crew did a amazing job with the decontamination and paint correction. The film and ceramic application was awesome, Chris caught a spot on my mirrors that he didn't like so told me to bring it back and corrected the mirrors. This 2011 car wasn't new by any means, and we wanted to gift it to a new driver on his birthday. We'd passed it on once & while once loved & well maintained, it was allowed to get into pretty rough shape. (and that's an understatement..) I just picked up my 2004 Envoy from Detail Depot after a full detail job. It is absolutely like a brand new vehicle. The paint was oxidized and fading from 13 years of exposure to outside elements of no garage parking and the headlight lens were frosted over from age and exposure. After Chris and his guys finished with it, the paint is brilliant, the headlights are clear and the interior, engine, tires are all like new again. Chris at Detail Depot is a car-detailing magician! My black leather driver's seat was discolored due to years of getting in my car directly after going to the beach and gym. Detail Depot provided me with EXCEPTIONAL service! I hit a liter of yellow paint going down the highway in my 15' Silverado- it dried front right all the way to the back right side as I was stuck in traffic going home. I have 3 of my cars ceramic coated, paint protection filmed and the GlassParency on their windshields done. Awesome when it rains, the water just runs off and it also helps with glare.
