I had new tires installed and the wheels serviced before we left but at Dalton we heard a terrible racket. One of the wheel bearings had failed on the trailer. A quick Google search led me to a trailer repair company but they didn't do work on this type of trailer. They recommended Ingles and we were able to make it there without losing the wheel. They dropped what they were doing and went to work on the bearing. They only had one bearing in stock and the wheel needed two. One of the old bearings was still usable. He put the new bearing on the inside and the old bearing on the outside so it would be easier to replace when we got home. He also thoroughly cleaned the old bearing and packed everything well with marine grease. He inspected the other wheel and said it seemed fine. It took about an hour and 15 minutes total and cost about $50. Very polite and priced reasonably considering my situation. There was never any hint that I might be inconveniencing them.

I contacted a handful of manufacturers, and several auto-body shops, with no one willing or able to make the piece. Blakley at United RV stepped up and held Forest Rivers feet to the fire, convincing Forest River to search their warehouses and find a similar fender. Scotty and Matt cut the fender to fit perfectly. All at a very reasonable price!

First off, you should know that this used to be Lee Smith Ford. It was the main reason we brought our RV here because it is a Ford product. Although it is no longer a Ford dealership, they still work on RVs/motorhomes. So I had never had my RV serviced before and I wanted was an oil change, the air-conditioning looked at and the fluids topped off. I also wanted new tires all the way around. And although the Thompson Truck Group doesn't install Tires, they haven't arrangement with a local shop to get estimates and install the tires... and that's what they did for me. For the most part, everything went really well. Like other others have said, they are pricey. The prices weren't outrageous...but they were definitely more than I wanted to spend. Mitch gave me an initial quote and said he would call me if the price went any higher. He called me the next day with a quote on the air-conditioning which I approved. And I will say that Mitch is accessible by phone and text and he does return calls. Unfortunately, they had my RV for about a week... which is about a week longer than I wanted to leave it! So that was a downside. They are a busy truck repair business so you should not expect to get your vehicle back the same day... or not even the next day. When I finally picked up my RV, everything I had asked to be done had been done. And they came in a few dollars under the estimate. If you can get past the price and the length of time it takes to work on your vehicle, then this would be a place I would recommend you take your RV.

However, being miles away, the man asked me to describe the symptoms, etc. as mobile techs were available. He recommended a course of action to determine if the issue was from within or outside our unit. He accurately diagnosed the problem as being the "pedestal" it was plugged into - a great relief. I did not purchase the unit from Newbies, but was very pleased with their attitude and helpfulness. On the road issues are no fun, but knowledgeable service personnel are always a relief - even when it is bad news - when they are accurate. I would have given them a "great" review but my experience with them is limited to this one experience. It was as good as it could have been.

He was extremely rude and began chewing me out for taking his time from PAYING customers. My complaints to the owners about his behavior were met with acknowledgment but indifference. Turns out they know about him but choose to do nothing. This could be a great dealership if only they did something about that manager's hostility toward customers. After my experience I'll go elsewhere in the future where hostility isn't tolerated by the management.

To make it even worse, the manager wouldn't even bother talking to me about their incompetence. It's obvious the old Mom-and-Pop shop that used to run this place is long gone, because the current management doesn't care about their customers at all. We purchased a 2018 Keystone Carbon from Mike at Chattanooga Camper Sales (CCS) in August of 2020…read more Even after reading multiple questionable reviews about thousands of $ of repairs, we were convinced by the warranty from CCS that we would be covered if something happened. We've now learned that we should have NOT bought from CCS under any circumstances. Here are 8 reasons why: 1. CCS recommended and installed a sway bars hitch system rated to 50% of trailer weight. Within 6 days, the hitch was bending and could have resulted in a catastrophic failure. This is criminal negligence. 2. CCS was negligent in maintaining the tires in working order, and within 8 hours of driving off the lot, two tires blew 3. CCS was negligent during the titling process and sold the trailer with an incomplete title. The title was missing multiple signatures & details which required multiple trips to the DMV to fix. 4. CCS installed a faulty fuse in our truck which required a repair from Ford Dealer 5. CCS failed to fully inspect the trailer even after assuring us everything was in working order. We discovered the speakers and the stove fan were broken even after we asked CCS to fix these items. 6. CCS lied and said the Fresh Water indicator was working. We had asked CCS to fix the fresh water indicator twice, and after both times, they said the indicator was fixed even when it was still broken as later confirmed by a different repair shop. 7. CCS was negligent in inspecting the sewer system and sold a trailer with a faulty system. The tanks on the trailer are mislabelled, and the valve on the second gray tank is broken. 8. CCS failed to prepare the trailer and sold it with empty propane tanks,a faulty battery, and one set of keys. CCS has taken advantage of us as new trailer owners and sold a "lemon" to us requiring thousands of dollars of repairs. DO NOT buy from CCS under any circumstances.
