He was able to contact our manufacturer and get repairs covered that were originally only good for a year, but because our dealership sold to Camping World we were told to go through them bc forest river wouldn't call us back. Talked with a salesman on the phone. Explained my buying process in detail, including the fact that his shop was two states away. Asked for the best bottom line out the door price, sent to me on a worksheet listing all charges, by email. No fluff, no add-ons. Also told him several times I don't do the back and forth bullshit, one price, best deal they can do. Got a worksheet listing add-ons I had specifically told him I did not want or need, and some other charges that were just profit for the dealership (made up charges). When I responded with a flat "No, too much" I got a phone call from the salesman stating that I had not given him a chance to "work out the numbers". I replied as before that I don't do the back and forth and dropped the call. I got numerous calls, text messages and voice mails from the salesman, sales manager, general manager asking me to "make a commitment and they might lower the price". Mind you I had not seen the RV except online and they expected a deposit before we could "go over the numbers"! Maybe they should listen to what buyers say.......stop the back and forth crap. this is my second visit to this camping world in the past two years. two years ago I had to replace our rv's toilet. they had the correct one in stock, I installed it in the parking lot and they disposed of the old one for me. today I had a faucet leak that kept filling our black tank while draining our freshwater. I needed to dump in a serious way. they have a free dump station in the parking lot right near the street. these i consider as great services to provide to traveling customers. thank you CW! read more

What I totally dislike about Camping World is they almost want your underwear size before they let you see anything. If I wanted a unit I'd give them the necessary info later. To be clear I leave 0 stars. Two months ago we bought a Heartland Mallard from Grant at Camping World Biloxi. The experience was less then desirable. We knew what we needed in a travel trailer and that ranged from $20,000-$60,000. When we were done looking at all of the ones the " managers" picked out we proceeded to the ones we had picked out online. One of which was a Coleman trailer. When we asked to see a particular Coleman trailer Grant said "oh are you just looking to get the cheapest trailer. " We almost walked then. I'm not going to go into detail of our personal life but we definitely have a wide price range and needed to dial down our options as we were leaving the south the next month (we had been looking for the perfect trailer to fit three kids and two cats 3months prior). We ended up going with our favorite a new 2022 Heartland Mallard which we would only discover was a lemon in the middle of Glacier National Park. After over a week of contacting the Camping World Biloxi speaking with Johnathan and every person we possibly could they have now completely stoped returning any calls or emails. We bought the trailer brand new. First time use-bad water pump-bad thermal coupling on water heater which lead to no LP water heater...or electric power...and those are just the two we were able to get fixed under our own persistence with Heartland and an amazing place called Blue Dog RV in Kalispell Montana. Please if you have children and pets that travel with you do not go to this dealership! read more

I bought a camper last week. My sales person was great. After I got my trailer, I realized I needed something smaller within a few days of getting it. It was to big to tow. I haven't used my camper. I thought I'd bring it back and trade it for something smaller. After a week of owning it, I was told the trade in value would put me $10,000-$12,000 in the hole. Buying it back or consigning it was just as bad. After a few days! That's ripping off customers that want to do business with camping world. We brought our GeoPro camper in for maintenance/service on Saturday, January 2nd, and called several times that week to check on our camper. We were very satisfied that our camper was repaired in only one week and we were able to pick it up on Saturday, January 9th. Every one at the service desk were very helpful and friendly. Never again! I'm a first time RV buyer. Learning all the shady details in my very first experience from this one dealer! I drove off the lot for the first time ever driving a class a rv . When I get to my house to move into the rv I can't get to my next destination because the back stabilizer jack is down and won't go back up so I'm all over calling for help and have friends come over and notice the front jacks are wired up ? Why? So I finally get to my next destination and call the dealership and ask what's going on? This is ridiculous I asked all the questions when I was shopping, I was promised it would be inspected with a fine tooth comb being that I need to live in it on location for work and it's an older model I understand but can't be stranded on my own. I called before going to do my walk through to ask if anything came up in the inspection, nothing! I did the walk through NOTHING WAS SAID! I call they tell me they can't find the parts to fix it and they "secured " the jacks with wire . WHAT ? Why am I just hearing about this? Now I'm homeless and stranded luckily at a friends house before leaving for work moved out of it . Had to reinforce the "secured" front jacks because one had already broken. Took it back to the dealership and they don't want it . REALLY!!! I could have died driving off in the first place ! Now you're trying to say you told me! Absolutely NOT ! I would've never drove it off the lot if it needed repairs! I was ready to live in it and leave on a job !!! This is Crazy! How can you let a completely inexperienced person drive away with a potential death trap that could have killed myself or worse a pile up on the interstate since I live in La at the moment. Then turn around and lie about telling me!! But your in the process of tracking down parts? When was I supposed to come back to get it fixed? While I was away living in it ! It makes no sense! They are overpriced, uninformed, and rude. However I can say that I am grateful that they behaved in such an unprofessional manner. I might have purchased a trailer from them. Originally I was so disappointed with the service that I would have given them a 1 star. Sounds like they have a new manager in the service department that is trying to make some changes for the better. Had it not been for our conversation about quality control I probably would have been a very upset customer. I bought my RV Dec 2021! I was told everything checked out! Come to find out no maintenance work, except oil change was done on 2016 Dynamax. I was told by maintenance we can't check tire pressure, we don't have the device. Can not comment on sales but service do not bother. I took my Camping World purchased camper (from an Indiana Camping World) in for some insurance repairs as well as a few I am paying for. The camper arrived the end of April 2017, in June the insurance check arrived with the stated repairs they were paying for. Kaitlyn from Service helped me to argue with insurance and actually send out an adjuster to get schooled on campers. In July all was figured out and my ok was given for the repairs I need to pay for. As of August no parts had been ordered, meaning insurance repair parts that they already had the check for, I called the Vendor myself to find this out. I reported them to the BBB on August 2nd for all the issues that are going on with my camper, mold being the largest issue and they do not care. The camper sat for over a month untarped, I brought in the 2 tarps and bungees so that they could tarp the camper. It is now September and only the one part for the front legs on the unit came in. Service there is anything but acceptable, find somewhere else to go. I am also an Elite Sams club member and that means nothing to them. The only person who has been upfront with me and not been scrambling and telling tales to corporate to keep their job is Kaitlyn, she is the best person they have. My suggestion run do not walk to a more reputable company for Service. I am not the only one who feels this way, all you have to do is talk to Service at other dealers and see how many are Camping World Units and get told by the owner why it did not go back. I am a believer. I know have a loan and a camper that is so full of mold it will never be useable and Camping World says your problem not ours. They have the means to have stopped the issue but I was told once the unit hits their lot they are not responsible for it, thank you service Mgr. Know you are nothing to them but a $ sign, no more no less, and if you get lost in shuffle not their problem either. Run run run away from Service at Camping World here in Biloxi. It is Now 7 Months and Camping World STILL has my camper, called last week said it was finished and only half of the insurance work was done. The Vent Caps still had not been replaced, the light fixture over my table was taken down, screws are lost and so are the lampshades. So now I just have wires hanging out of the ceiling. This on top of the water damage they caused and tried to get my insurance to pay for, the Insurance said NO. They do not care, I have now turned them into the BBB as well as the Mississippi Attorney General. I have called their home office in Kentucky 4 times and Biloxi Camping World has never responded, my solution is they can now pay the camper off and keep it, have told the Home Office in Kentucky this. Never Again, RUN FROM CAMPING WORLD no matter where they are located. I have been back to Camping World of Biloxi and the new service manager tried talking to the Store Manager Rob. Rob has stated all the issues are my fault and yet in front of my daughter told me how to commit Insurance fraud. Run from these people they have no inclination to fix their issues or correct problems they created. I now have an unuseable camper and have 3 years left to pay and as I was told we are bigger than you sue me, thanks George for those kind words. Camping world took 7 months to supposedly fix the drivers side front of my camper and in less than 6 months the skin is bubbling and can not even get an answer as to if they will fix it or not. Shitty work, shitty service and the not our problem attitude. Do yourself a favor and just stay away. Can tell you having been there enough I am not the only unhappy service customer. My neighbor purchased a new camper almost a year ago, has had the camper back 3 times for a leak and it is still not fixed. This is the worst Service Department I've every seen. I took my RV in to get the generator serviced, new AC, awning and couch. To make a long story short they installed the wrong AC, awning was not lined up and my generator stopped working. The never got the couch in I just got my RV out of there. read more

We came in today, to look at upgrading to a newer camper. The rep we met with was very friendly. At some point, I needed to get something to drink. So I asked the front counter where I could get something to drink. They pointed to a vending machine in the customer lounge. The machine was very limited with choices. It was either water, Gatorade or energy drink. So I was going to get a 1.50 water. Machine took my first dollar, than rejected my only dollar i had left. After multiple times to get it to accept my dollar, i tried to get my other dollar returned. The machine wouldn't give it back to me. I went to the counter to tell them and they referred me to a floor member, who went to someone in the repair shop, who returned with a younger female staff, who both told me , it wasnt their problem, I'd have to call the number on the machine. I told them, well, that sucks, for a dollar? You aren't making my shopping experience very fun. Young girl caught an attitude and said, we dont control the machine. That's fine, I was dying of thirst and they took my dollar. Thus losing a potential camper sale over a dollar. We left and the sales rep called me, asking me what happened. A few minutes later , they offered me a 25.00 gift card and a 100.00 gift card if we bought a camper, but at that point we were just too annoyed to come back. read more

Well I am here again. Last review 2021 took 3 months to get a window they broke in Jackson MS. This time it is a tire and wheel. Had a tire come apart on our way home from a camping trip 25 miles from my house. 4th camping trip, the trailer has about 500 miles TOTAL on it since we got it. We camp close to home, has not left the State of Mississippi. The whole tread peeled off in one piece. Broke a water line, but luckily we were less 2 miles from home. Made it to the house. Took the rim with what was left of the tire to Biloxi camping World on October 24 ,2023. We have Full tire Protection coverage . I have emailed them picture of the vin and tag to prove it came off the camper. Emailed them 2 weeks ago to get a status report, no response. Called a week ago, no return call. Called again today. One excuse after another, Oh she was on vacation, just got back, last week. Today ,oh she just got back today. I call BS. Now they are saying warranty doesn't want to cover the tire. We will get back to you by the end of the day, not buying that either, heard that last time. No one has called me back. This is why I don't like doing business with them. Can't believe a word out their mouths. I would rather pay the $250 deductible at Dad's on warranty work, and know the work is being done in a timely manner, then deal with this every time I have to deal with them. Tire Protection has no deductible. If they don't cover this, I want my money back on the $1000 Tire Protection plan I paid for, and I will buy my own damn tire. I bought a travel trailer at the Biloxi store and everyone was nice but when I took my trailer in for a bad battery that was under warranty it took them 4 weeks to figure that out then another 2 weeks to do the warranty and put a new battery in, when I went to pick up my trailer it was full of mud the hot water heater door was left open full of mud and rust and the door was bent. I talked to everyone plus the service manager and they didn't care I finely got it washed, I called good sams and they got with them the service department called and said they couldnot do anything about it. I have my fingers crossed. In April 2017, husband and I bought a new Thor Freedom Elite. Had them install valve extensions so I would be able to fill tires. Husband asked them to check air in tires. I drove home tires flat! Took 2 weeks to fix. We took 2 trouble free trips. Jan. 2018, my husband died. No camping trips. I was diagnosed with cancer 4/18 no camping trips. Oct. 2018 took camper to a horse endurance ride. Queen bed refused to roll out. I shared the dinette with my 125 pound dog. Called CW and had appointment about 10 days later. Picked up daughter at hospital and then motor home 12-10-18. ASSURED there was no problem. They couldn't show me. 12-10-18 my daughter died twice. She is ok now but I think telling you we were rather busy is not really needed. 4-4-19 took camper to Louisiana for a dog show. GUESS WHAT??? Bed won't slide. Called CW-Biloxi immediately. Appointment made for 4-10. Tech verified the problem. Told him we needed 4/23 for trip to another horse ride. He said no problem. Also have trip 5/7. Called 4-19. told by female, waiting for parts. We stood in line for about 10 minutes with one couple in front of us checking out. The cashier had to call for override etc...Finally we put the item back and walked out. Three employees said thank you have a nice day! I said we would have bought something if you had a cashier. Don't go here if you don't have a lot of time to waste. I just got off the phone with Camping World HQ. These Biloxi guys sold my RV on consignment - eventually - but have been withholding my money. They seem to have forgotten to send it, were going to send it when someone who was sick returned to work, and then didn't send it, and haven't responded to email. This isn't the first time I had to contact the corporate office - the last time was to get a sales manager to return my call - after two weeks of trying. It has been a long tiring painful process. Dealing with these guys has been pure frustration. To my mind the proudest thing a sales guy can do is send you the check. We were on our way back from Pensacola to Dallas when we lost one of our towing pin rings. We found this Camping World only to be told by the parts guy that he didn't have parts and no longer carried Blue Ox products. As we were dejectedly leaving Steve Weidlich caught up to us with the exact ring we needed. He told us, upon hearing our discussion in parts, that he recalled seeing one in his desk and scrambled to retrieve the ring. Perfect fit and Steve's actions literally saved our trip, and he refused payment. So, a solid shout out to Steve and his above and beyond service. The parts department was horrible! I asked them to order a part early in July, never received a call, text, or email, so returned to the store to ask about status in mid August and they had the part. When they brought it out I knew it was not the correct one, so they said they would reorder it. Again, no word from them, so at the end of September I again went to the store and the person who orders parts wasn't there and nobody could tell me anything about the status of my part! I asked and received a refund on the first incorrect part and left. I get that materials are moving slow in this economy, but the lack of customer communication is inexcusable! read more

I took my camper to Camping World to sell it to them. They initially gave me a number of 17,000 which was a fine price. After inspecting it, they claimed there was water damage and would have to fix the whole floor. They said that would cost 4-5 thousand. Still, I understood it does take a lot to replace a slide floor. Then they said they would need to replace the couch (which I had removed earlier) which would cost $1700. For a couch made of styrofoam. And there was another spot by the door they said they would have to fix. All in all, he said the repairs would be around $7000 and would offer me about $10,000. Then the wholesaler guy came by and gave a price and it was $8500. I have no idea where that extra $1,500 came from, but I left unsatisfied with that price. I took it to Dad's Camper Outlet. And after they inspected it, he said there was no water damage, but the floor had been rebuilt wrongly. They would still need to replace it, but at least they actually knew what was wrong. He had all the same info as Camping World, and offered 12,000. Needless to say I won't be going to Camping World again. read more

I have been leaving voicemails over the last 7 day period (starting 3 days after I was told I should expect to be contacted). It would almost seem like their voicemail is improperly set up and the operator is directing me to in unattended voicemail accounts... except most recently I complained to operator and they said that they would walk over to service desk in person and ensure I was contacted by end of day.... no call received. We brought our 5th wheel to this location for them to sell on consignment in July 2017. We agreed on a price we would receive if they sold it, which was about $12000 less than the blue book value. They told us it would be online within 1-2 days. Two weeks later it finally showed up online with only a few pictures and a small, incorrect write up and description, and it was listed for double the price we agreed to take so it was way overpriced. We spoke to the salesman who gave a lame excuse that it gives them negotiating room. Fast forward to January 2018, we let them know we were coming to pick it up since we have not had any interest at their location. No problem they said, we'll have it ready. When we got there, we noticed it had cement splattered on the front storage door. Pointed this out to the female salesperson helping us and she proceeded to see what they could do to remove it. Then a male salesman came out and wanted to know what the problem was. We showed him the cement and he said there was nothing they could do cause all their detail people were busy. At this point he dismissed the female salesperson, guess he didn't think a girl could handle this. Then he started telling us that they did us a "courtesy" by keeping it on their lot for 6 months. He used "courtesy " several more times as he got less and less professional and more obnoxious. We tried to remain calm and explain the problems we had encountered, but then he accused me of being a complainer. Well, there was a lot to complain about but I honestly thought he would want to know the problems they had so they could be addressed!!! Guess not!!! I know this is a long review, and we probably sound like a couple of unhappy people who complain about everything. All we wanted was our camper back in the same condition they received it and we were treated very badly by the male salesman. We were there for a long time and I just reported the highlights. I can say one thing good.... our battery in the camper was dead and the female salesperson sent a technician out to jump it so we could raise our front levelers. Bottom line..... they don't care about your property and all the negative reviews about Camping World are there for a reason. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from them. read more
