LISTED PRICE $22,999

I wish I could leave a NEGATIVE star. Hatfield saves this place and he is the ONLY one. He was amazing. Everything after that is horrible. We had shown hundreds of pictures of the work we did on our trade-in (10 years old) and they were well aware of the age and condition. We completed the sale to be taken out and screamed at like children. Taken into the office afterward accusing us of lying and screaming at us. They had offered us $13,000 on trade and told us we needed to pay them $6,000 AFTER THE SALE was completed. They had this trade in for 4 hours and not one word was said. Only a few days later did they list my trade in (the one they said was so horrible I had to pay them more afterward) for $22,999. And it SOLD!!!!!! Then when we sent an email with much much more that happened, corporate called us and said it was their word against ours and who are they to say who's fault it was. All said and done, we were screamed at to pay them more money AFTER the sale was completed and signed and they were angry I wasn't paying them a penny. THEY MADE 9K AS IT WAS LISTED!!!!!! We will never return to this camping world. If something isn't fixed, then we won't be going to any of the other camping worlds either.... I highly advise you to read all reviews and avoid this place all together.

Where to start.....let's start with if you are considering a new or used camper PLEASE! PLEASE! do not go to Camping World of Akron. The could possibly be the shadiest dealership I have ever dealt with. This my 10th camper I have purchased, and my first and last time with Camping World of Akron. Let's start with my trade in....haul my camper up to the lot, offered 13k. Came back the next day to do paperwork on my new camper, and was told by salesman (Rob) that they were going to sell the trade in as a handymans special for 7500.00 and could only give us 5k because there were so many issues. I should have pulled it off the lot right then, but mistakenly believed him and the sales manager. We'll 3 days later it is now on their website for 22k. Just so you know it is a 2018 Keystone Bullet. I don't even know how these guys look themselves in the mirror everyday. My new camper had noted issues during the walk through, and we were promised they would all be fixed, they were not and still have not. How do you pay a 2500.00 inspection fee and have no heat coming out of your ducts. Cleanliness was HORRIBLE, also noted and not addressed. There's more, but I'm over it at this point. Camping World of Akron, you can save the cookie cutter responses about Careteams and Serviceteams, been there done that, over it. We have contacted the BBB and your CEO, not that it matters to you. There will be a time when individuals at Camping World of Akron will be sworn in and have to tell the truth....we will see if the lies continue then. **** I'm sure it's not the experience you would expect, however it is happening. What more details would you like that has not already been said. UPDATE: Maiden voyage of the new camper this weekend (9/7/24).....rain pouring in over and onto right were my pillow is....this is getting better by the minute.

Unbelievable work

I called on Monday to see if I could schedule it to be de-winterized that Thursday or Friday. Their schedule was full but they told me to swing by at a certain time on Friday. Unfortunately, I was over 30 minutes late because the tires were very low after sitting in storage for 2 years, so I had to find a service station close to the storage lot to fill them up in order to safely drive to their facility. When I finally made it, they initially said they would get to it sometime that weekend, but I was departing on Sunday and was getting the tires replaced that night at a tire shop. So I thanked them for the attempt to fit me in and departed. I didn't get a mile down the road when they called me and said to turn around... they will get me in. All this while the owner had to run to an appointment of his own and had only one tech on site. They had me ready to go an hour later. They definitely did not have to do that, but they did. The owner even called me the next day to make sure it all went well (since he was gone when we finished up.) My biggest thanks to the family and crew there! If I'm ever back in the area with the Airstream, I will definitely bring it to Camper Care for any needed work! Highly recommended!!

Buyers and service customers should be cautious under the guise of a reliable name in Avalon prior…read moreto 2023 purchase. Sorry this is long, don't beat on me, just drop out now. RCD dealer profit greed has left me feeling used and foolish, I felt compelled to put this long cautionary tale out on Yelp seeing practices haven't improved much in the past 2 years in other customer reviews. Maybe someone else will not be so trusting yes admittedly now, gullible, had to share take it public. Just recently 8/2025, I it hit me why "Avalon" wanted our checks. Unaware, they were bought out by a large supercenter, RCD, while our RV went in for service in 11/3/2023. Then, mega centers RCD used our money under "Avalon's" good name, making their new acquisition purchase look good and a chunk of money coming from us as hostages. Overall, our experience was incredibly frustrating. We finally received our camper back on July 26, 2024. To summarize, since 6/20/23, we have been put through at this point a myriad of repair promises, delays too numerous to even count anymore, personnel issues and turn over at the dealership causing more delays - which should never be a customer's delay problem but a goal for the dealership to make right especially almost a year after the first contact, numerous false dates of parts ordered by many staff and scheduled RV return to us dates as early as end of 2/2024, bumping 6 weeks every time we asked, none that were kept. I could detail much more from my notes on this journey, but let's just keep it simple for Yelp. Notably, upon long awaited 2024 return as well as loss big $$ on our seasonal site being empty all year, we discovered issues. To name a few; he seals were not fully finished can see daylight through the back door, the windows were sagging, the rig needed cleaned, smeared cabinets/tables, etc a ton of dust / debris inside, carpet was now worn somehow, some odd sand under the wallpaper in places, seal came off the arms of the awning, water heater door was supposed to be new - nope it was a dented one and there was an unusual haze like clearcoat overspray in the interior & sliding door that we were unable to remove and we received a different recliner with a cracked material on the back. We rarely use the recliners, it is likely it was sitting around & that they had swapped ours with someone else during the almost 9 month wait or damaged in transit. In the end why let RCD take it again, just got it back we gave up corporate greed wins. Thought in 2024, it's time to get a different rig and wash our hands of it; well maybe but still a year later, interest rates went sky high since covid, still waiting. I'm sure if anyone responds, it will be a "canned response" or we would have made it right upon return. Honestly, I don't have another 9 months of time OR patience, to wait to be ghosted and lied to again, but I can share to others to be cautious.

worst service ever. I would never recommend nor return. Had…read moreour rv in for a few weeks, they didn't do most of things that we asked to have fixed although they claimed they did.
