Busy area but we'll worth the stop.Fast seating was a surprise too! Attentive servers and well made margaritas, plus a rarity these days, house made real tamales!! Highly recommended Solid appetizer assortment too. Must try: perfect fresh made guacamole!

While traveling to Ohio, we decided to stick with our favorite cuisine: Mexican. We were greeted quickly and seated right away. I appreciated that we had multiple servers, so there was never a delay in meeting our needs. We started with the homemade chips, salsa, and white sauce. The white sauce isn't something we typically get at home, so it was a pleasant surprise. My husband and I chose the Quesadilla Rancheras, a basic dish, as we had a large lunch and weren't overly hungry. It was stuffed with chicken, cheese, and veggies. My son tried the Hawaiian Burrito and remarked that 'the pineapple is a nice touch.' We would definitely stop here again. PS: my spicy margarita was amazing

As a California girl on a road trip, I decided to try what was touted as the best Mexican spot near my hotel. Despite some hesitation, I gave it a shot based on recommendations. The place had a nice ambiance, with Latin pop music playing. Latin pop is not what I'm used to. The menu offered many options, I had a hard time choosing. However, my experience quickly went downhill. When I asked the server for a recommendation, he hesitated and admitted he didn't know. If a Latino employee isn't confident about the menu, that's a red flag. They served us chips, salsa, and ranch. The ranch with chips was unusual and not good at all. I don't know if that's a local thing, but I wouldn't recommend it. My friends ordered cheese enchiladas, which turned out to be quite unappetizing with an odd-tasting cheese. I ordered the quesabirria, which was just okay and probably the best item we had. The horchata was clearly made from a powdered mix and tasted subpar. Overall, the food and drinks were disappointing and overpriced. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this place. Honestly, Taco Bell would have been a better choice.

In Beckley to visit the mine exhibition and stopped in for lunch. Nota local but this was my second visit in past month. Chips came out warm with traditional sauce and Mexican ranch...nice twist...though I prefer the traditional red salsa and it was good. Ordered the Street Tacos; there tacos, tender steak, soft tortillas and two salsas! Wife ordered Birria Tacos and said they were very good, too! Clean, well lit dining room; attentive server! Easy access right off Interstate 65...pass up the fast food...it's worth it!

Campestre has a great location right off the interstate with a nice building that's modern in vibe and ambience. I've been there for casual dining, business meetings and even dates. However last several times the service has been terrible to say the least. No one to greet you at the hostess stand and employees walking by avoiding eye contact. How hard is it to say "someone will be with you in a moment." Last night the cheese dip we ordered literally sat on our table for 10min before they brought any chips out. Even I had to say, "you've brought the cheese dip but never any chips." Really made me wonder what she was thinking. Even when we asked for containers, she brought 1 small box for the table. I've had the same bizarre and lackluster service multiplier times and even when ordering carryout. Now it's just par for the course. They've recently raised their menu prices, likely due to inflation. Seems like the minimum per entree is $11.50. If you need a convenient stop off the interstate, with nice ambience and decent food then this is the right spot. Don't expect much from service or value.

Good solid place for Mexican food in Beckley. On the pricey side. It's worth a stop if you're in the area and craving some Mexican

I grew up in Tucson, AZ and I have travelled to Mexico many times. When it comes to authentic Mexican food, most (but not all) restaurants that are not close to our Southern border cater to American tastes. Pro Tip #1: If you want authentic Mexican tacos, they should be using soft shell corn tortillas and be topped with cilantro and onions with lime wedges on the side to squeeze on top. Look for the terms "street tacos" or "authentic tacos" and make sure they are topped with cilantro and onions. Pro Tip #2: If you like hot salsa, most Mexican restaurants will have it, but you have to ask if they have any hot salsa in the back. I ordered the Tacos Al Pastor (which is pork with spices and pineapple). They come on soft shell corn tortillas and are topped with cilantro and onions and have lime wedges on the side. Yay! I also ordered a lime margarita on the rocks with salt. The tacos were very good! I would order them again! My waiter was friendly and called me "corazón," which was sweet. Unfortunately, I accidentally found myself in Beaver, WV after having to avoid the last toll on the WV Turnpike, so I likely won't be able to come back to this restaurant. However, if I ever find myself back in this small town again, I will absolutely come back to El Mariachi!

The service was exceptional; I was able to speak comfortably in Spanish with the friendly waiter, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised to discover such a vibrant and inviting place, so far from my home. My quesadilla was vegetarian, stuffed with a generous mix of fresh, crunchy vegetables like bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions, and it was absolutely delicious. Finding options with truly fresh veggies is usually challenging, so this was a delightful discovery. I would love to visit again if I ever return to the area.
