While I was studying in San Jose, I lived in Campbell Plaza and I have such beautiful memories and life associated with those apartments. Very good communication with the manager Lindsey who was always there to help me with a nice conversation and advice.

Another person mentioning the screaming kids before I even lived here. It's been a problem for years

WARNING; Stolen car(S) car break in(S) stolen packages, CONSTANT screaming unattended kids, cockroaches, stolen laundry, constant water shut offs, mold, constant parking issues... Read ALL the reviews, not just the recent five star reviews; You will notice the recent glowing reviews are suspiciously left by people with ONE or two total reviews; Seems like they joined yelp to leave the amazing Campbell plaza apartments a glowing review. The bad reviews are mostly left by people with tons of Yelp reviews. I have over 200 mostly five star reviews. We spent one year here, never in my life have I had so much chaos in my 30 years of renting. My next door neighbor's car was broken into, then STOLEN one month later from the Campbell plaza parking. Another neighbor across the way had her car broken into another time also. The Campbell plaza SECURITY CAMERA WASN'T working for months! WILD unattended kids that scream bloody murder (listen to my video) every single day after school until dark and I mean for HOURS (windows shut, freaking our dogs out) none of the parents around; Most of the "moms" out smoking for HOURS in the dark on the curb. My neighbor called then the "Marlboro moms." Sitting from morning until 2 am smoking next to the no smoking on property sign. While complaining I mentioned to the manager that there were other horrible yelp reviews about the constantly screaming kids. Then, the five star reviews from brand new Yelpers started appearing. Maybe I'm a kid hater. NOPE. There are horrible review posted here from 2015, same exact issues. I didn't even live in the state. They mentioned unattended screaming wild kids every day for hours, riding scooters around the pool unattended; Exactly my experience! I complained that kids were; 1) Sliding backwards down the 2nd floor staircase. 2) Flying a drone into my deck 3) throwing huge rocks at each other and calling each other F**CKERS (my next door neighbor had to go out to stop them) 4) screaming so loud my during a business call with my doors/windows shut my boss asked what the noise was etc etc etc MANAGEMENT DID NOTHING; "We can't tell people how to raise their kids." One little girl literally NEARLY ran my 14 year old dog over zooming up on her by an inch on a razor scooter, TWICE. (A few feet from the no scooters on property sign) She wasn't a "little" little girl, more like 12, certainly old enough to have concern over almost hurting a very old dog. A neighbor I was friendly with who had two kids herself said she wouldn't even let her 8 year old son play outside here because the neighbor kids were so wild. She said she always left her bathroom fan running to block out the CONSTANT noise. She also had a leak from the upstairs unit which caused her entertainment center to mold. She also had a stolen amazon delivery just like I did. When I mentioned my multiple stolen delivery(s) the office acted shocked; "Oh, we haven't had any issues with that." Interesting, my neighbor told me she complained to the office ONE MONTH before I did about a STOLEN DELIVERY, which means, they are lying, acting like there isn't a theft problem here... Another neighbor had to move to a hotel for two weeks while they redid her walls due to mold and they also found asbestos. Another neighbor had to change apartments from a mold issue. I bought one of those mold flashlights to check my walls = mold. So many people were moving they started offering a "$300 referral bonus" which quickly went to $500. ANOTHER neighbor mentioned their laundry basket was stolen. I had two blankets stolen from a dryer in the middle of the day on a weekday. No, they weren't left unattended for a long time. "Oh. We haven't had any problems with that." Countless times we tried to park in our reserved parking, cars in our space resulting in us parking way down the street, once in the pouring rain. "Oh. We haven't had any issues with that." Like cockroaches? Or would you prefer to have your entire kitchen poisoned? Well, that was the option as a few of my neighbors had cockroaches. OLD pipes resulting in CONSTANT water shut offs, for hours! Well over two grand for this "five star" property one bedroom apartment. It's funny, I have been a renter for 30 years now. Upon move out my last apartment manager actually asked me why I never complained about basic repairs. I'm NOT a complainer. Not a prissy tenant. But this place is like a cheap hotel. Don't let the pretty swimming pool and new washing machines fool you. Another neighbor who recently moved out was PISSED. He had a good theory; "They don't want people to renew here. They don't care about your complaints. You move out, they get more rent and a new lease signed, they probably get a signing bonus." Just don't. *UPDATE; I emailed the president/cofounder of Prodesse management in 2018 while we were STILL LIVING THERE, neither got back to us.

My boyfriend and I just hit 6 months in our apartment! We transferred from another complex within the same management company and have no complaints currently. Amenities here are nice, I love the tropical atmosphere of the complex and the washers/dryers were replaced recently. Everyone who visits me complements our place and tells me how cozy our apartment looks. It's also nice being close to safeway and the restaurants. The management and maintenance have been quick to respond so far. I will update at the one year mark!

It's super close to the Campbell community center which has an outdoor track / tennis courts, but also a reasonable walk from the Pruneyard. We LOVED living right next to downtown Campbell for the restaurants and farmer's market! Our unit was definitely on the spacious end for a 1 bed / 1 bath, offering plenty of room and an abundance of kitchen storage, which was a huge plus. And we had assigned parking which is always nice to have in the Bay Area. What really made our time there exceptional was the outstanding support we received from our landlord, Abbas. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always quick to address any questions or concerns we had. It's clear he genuinely cares about his tenants and the property. The only reason we ended up leaving was due to a job change that required us to move out of state. I would highly recommend Gateway Apartments to anyone looking for a great place to live in Campbell. Location! Location! Location!…read more Heritage Village Apartments in Campbell is a hidden treasure. It is a small-medium sized community built in the mid 80's with modern Mediterranean architecture. Coming from the property management business, I must say that none of the communities I worked in the past that falls into this category will be a match. I rented a 1 bedroom apartment with a bonus room (retreat), washer and dryer hook-ups, granite counter tops, upgraded cabinetries, ceiling heated system, recessed lights, carpet and lino combo, corner unit, storage in balcony and parking right across the unit. This place is very quiet, clean and organized. (and newer). Behind the community is actually downtown Campbell which means a breeze to the weekly farmers market and the dining and entertainment establishments. Heritage Village Apartments is very competitive in pricing. For the cosmetic and functionality qualities, it is worth the money. I must mention, however, that the coolest part of all of these is the manager, Joanne. She is very professional, very nice, and very prompt. She is one of the main reasons why I rented. Heritage Village Apartments - this is Home!

When I started looking for apartments in the area, I was impressed by the detailed and positive…read morereviews for Heritage Village Apartments and decided to give Joan a call. I'm glad I did -- I've been here for about five months and love it! Location is perfect. Within walking distance or a ten-minute drive there's a bounty of stores and services: wonderful Ethiopian restaurants (Zeni's and Mulu's), Trader Joe's, the Campbell library, delicious tea leaf salad at the Burmese restaurant Kyusu, Whole Foods/Whole Body, UPS and USPS offices, the Campbell Community Center (where you can take classes on yoga, spinning, Spanish, ESL, piano, etc.), beautiful John D Morgan Park, the Sunday farmer's market, badminton court behind Fry's, Kaiser (if you are in their health care system), Mitsuwa and Lion Market (for Asian groceries), and lots more. At this time, rent for my one-bedroom (with sitting room) is $1970, which includes water and garbage. The unit has its own washer and dryer, with two sunny enclosed patios and hardwood floors in the kitchen, dining, and living room. The apartment was in good shape when I moved in, walls repainted and carpet cleaned. The only negative experience that I had was a pervasive chemical smell (could have been from the paint, carpet treatments, or pest deterrents), which gave me strong headaches and some nausea the first two weeks that I moved in. (Perhaps some air purifiers might have helped?) The neighbors have been quiet and respectful -- there is seldom noise after 9:30 pm (with the exception of one neighbor who seems to be a frequently outraged sports fan). Since I live on the first floor, I can hear people upstairs when they walk quickly or drop things, and when they are running the dishwasher or shower. I got used to the muffled sounds quickly, though, so that's not a problem for me. As for heat -- there is no A/C in the unit, but it remains quite cool on the ground floor, and when it is 100 degrees outside, I am comfortable inside with the windows closed and the fan on. Also important to note, I've had no issues with pests/critters so far (i.e. no fleas, silverfish, bedbugs -- just the monthly spider visit). If you work in Silicon Valley, are daunted by the high rent in Sunnyvale, Cupertino, and Santa Clara (roughly $2100-$2500 for a one-bedroom), and don't mind a slightly longer commute, Campbell -- and Heritage Village Apartments in particular -- is a good place to consider. (Note: At this time, Apple shuttles do not stop in Campbell, although they do in Los Gatos.)

The location is unbeatable: within walking distance to Whole Foods, Lunardi's, Starbucks, Philz, and lots of other stuff. Super easy access to highways (17 & 85), while still being tucked in enough that you don't hear or see them. The management staff is also really helpful and attentive. While signing the lease, they walked through all the terms and answered all my questions, leaving no room for ambiguity. Rex even allowed me to ship a couple of small packages to my new place a few days before I moved in and held on to them in the office until I arrived. This had a few basic essentials, like a pan and tea kettle, which improved my quality of life while I waited for the rest of my stuff to arrive from this cross-country move. As I moved in, I did a walkthrough and made a note of all the things that needed minor repairs (such as bent window screens and misaligned cabinetry). All of these concerns were addressed to my satisfaction within a couple of days!
