This is an overdue review - Bob and his business have been friendly, prompt, and above-board for regular and special care for our 2013 Escape. The only time I chose to take the car elsewhere was not a light decision (transmission issue), and was not due to any concerns with Bob or his workers' abilities. Rather, it was because of the dealers I also called for quotes/availability, only one happened to have a sooner convenient weekend slot open _and_ called back a couple times, lowering their quote each time for a better deal - which ended up being pretty much what Bob gave as his initial quote. Also: the dealer gave the phone call that decided it for us minutes after I gave Bob the okay to start the ordering process. So afterwards, I had to call Bob back and cancel. He was absolutely as professional as one could be, and has continued to be friendly and polite when we bring the car in for maintenance. Absolutely solid business. read more

Campbell Ford and Bob are all you could ask for. Knowledgeable, honest, and easy to work with. It's difficult to find service companies like this- but they will quickly become your "guy" mechanic. read more

Bob was awesome very honest opinion if you ever need your Ford serviced this is the place to go. My car was ready when he said it would be and he fixed whatever the car needed the same day. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who owns a Ford. Will definitely be coming back to Campbell Ford performance for any Ford maintenance on my vehicles. read more

Havn't been here in a while, but let me tell you, these are good people. Bob recently became the new owner of this establishment. Before I started working on my car myself, I would bring it here. I'm not so good at diagnosis, so sometimes I need to defer that business to Campbell Ford Performance for help. They're so friendly that sometimes I've just called to tell them about updates to my automotive lifestyle. Bob was the mechanic who worked on my car the most - hes an EEC-IV specialist and is very good with working with "modern vintage" cars. They've also done repairs on my gf's Focus. They are very professional, work with integrity, and understand each individual customer's situation. They work to come up with solutions that are appropriate for you. Definitely good people. read more

I took my 2005 F-150 to Bob after my MIL light came on and started experiencing engine stuttered under load. This was under a month after doing scheduled maintenance at the dealership I used to frequent in another state, so I was leery about going to a local dealership just to experience more headaches. Bob was very professional and thorough, and diagnosed and fixed the spark issue that was causing problems at a very reasonable price and with very quick turnaround. My truck has been running perfectly ever since. This should be a model for how all mechanics should be. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I don't know....? He told me straight up on the phone, he was only willing to book the more expensive repairs.... Turns out, I changed the VCT's, cleaned the O2 sensor, and inside the throttle body ; per Scott Kilmers direction, and my truck no longer stalls at idle.....and idles at 750 rpm where is supposed to .... none of this stuff was caused by the "well you know Gary, these things are caused by deeper issues" ,,,, I was trying to throw some work his way, because later on my truck needs a full brake job..... now, got to find someone else, or figure out how to do brakes myself............ I read his reply..... Perhaps ; but my truck still needs more small jobs ; plus the full brake job ; pads, rotors, e-pads, brake flush.... read more

Took the Focus here about a year ago (I've since moved) as there was some trouble with the clutch. First of all their shop and appearance are crystal clean - with a few HOT project cars sitting in some of the bays - including some classic mustangs (which tells me they are true blood ford mechanics). The clutch just needed a slight adjustment. Under $50 and great communication - they called 2x during the day to keep us up to date with the progress. I'd recommend this place over Frontier any day. read more

Campbell Ford is the only place I take my cars and trucks to. I have been going to Campbell Ford for over 15 years Very friendly staff and Ron the owner is a good guy. If you are looking for an honest dependable mechanic, Campbell Ford is the place. I know I am not getting ripped off . read more

The shop is good work is honest. Sort of pricey but you get quality honest work and very professional staff treats everybody with respect.

Bob was thorough, honest, and flexible in working with my 07 Ranger. I had an issue with my airbag and Bob was able to work with me by phone and email to figure out what was wrong with the airbag system. He kept me informed on his investigation, and continually gave me estimates with detailed explanations on how he got there. I didn't end up going through with the repairs, but I would definitely return another time. read more

YAY!!! Finally a specialized Ford repair shop that is not at the dealer! Excellent service, friendly and knowledgeable...and honest. My 2011 Ford Edge's instrumental panel display was flickering like a light show and couldn't even start my car. Frontier Ford service dept next appointment was 7 business days out. I couldn't wait that long without a working car and found Campbell Ford Performance on Yelp. Bob was super courteous, helpful and knowledgeable on the phone. Quick to give me some diagnosis options (vs dealer service dept which can take up to 24 hours after dropping off your car on your appt day). He said it could be the battery or maybe some under lying issues connected to it. I rented a car at the airport, got a tow truck for $70 one way and had it dropped off. They were pretty busy that day so he said to expect a few days before they looked at it which was totally fine! Next day, he called to say my battery was less than 10% and replaced it with the same battery manufacturer Ford uses. Fixed and ready to be picked up that day! Diagnostic fees is included in the overall final price (if you go forward with the repair). Reasonable prices too! Thank you Bob and your crew. I will DEFINITELY be back for my maintenance and any future issues I have!!!! read more

I highly recommend Campbell Ford Performance, great service and honest about troubleshooting. I am very happy with the results, my truck runs like it's brand new. read more

After getting my oil changed at Jiffy Lube, I was told that I had a "moderate engine leak" that I needed to get checked out. My brother and dad have gone to Ford Performance for years and were very happy with the service, so I took my Ford Fusion there last week on their recommendation. I told the guys at FP the situation, so they inspected the engine first thing Friday morning (took only a couple of hours so I was able to get breakfast and come back), and, lo and behold, there was no engine leak at all! I'm very grateful that the guys at FP were honest with me and didn't try to just fix something that wasn't broken. Bob was the guy who helped me out and he was very friendly, even remembering my dad's name after seeing my last name. He even gave me a discount on the inspection, much appreciated!! I expect to be coming back here whenever I have a problem. read more

I have been bringing my Ford cars here for about 17 years. I presently have 3 Fords (Escape, minivan, F-150 Raptor) and these guys are as competent as I have ever seen and extremely honest. They once charged me $50 for a job I was sure was going to cost $900. They will not fix something that doesn't need fixing. My experience is they are straight shooters, a welcome characteristic in a mechanic! I refer all my Ford friends here and nobody was ever disappointed. read more

"Campbell Ford Performance---the BEST for your Ford!" Great job Bob & Bert to keep our trucks in excellent running condition and their value at a premium! Always getting the job done on time with no surprise expenses. I have even suggested to look at something and if it needs it, fix/replace it. Bob evaluates it and in my best interest (parts wise or economic) makes the best choice! This IS the place to bring your Ford! Hands Down...No Other! read more

Campbell Ford completed a pretty big job for me in less time than expected. They worked on my 1990 Bronco II project vehicle. The previous shop that installed the oil pan botched the repair and Campbell Ford was there to correct the mistake. The engine needs to come out to replace the pan gasket and Robert completed the repair in a little more than a day. There level of communication throughout the process was great and I am confident that they will stand behind the work if something were to happen. Thanks Bob and Robert! read more

I was having problems with my Ford Expedition and what did it do business with a company in Campbell it turned out to be a very good decision on my part to take my truck into Campbell Ford performance Bob dealer responded quickly gave me a quote within a day and the repairs were completed beyond my expectations I highly recommend recommend this business read more

It's pretty hard to find honest mechanics/repair guys and these guys are definitely my go-to guys for both my wife's ford flex and my son's focus ST. Bob let's me know if something will be covered by warranty and gives me reasonable pricing on things that aren't covered. I think very highly of this shop and recommend with no reservations!. read more

These guys did some work on my Mustang on some mods and they did a really good job really good price I recommend anybody with a Ford to come here. read more

I took my Ford Focus ZX3 here today to figure out some shifting problems. The guys here are AWESOME! Timely, courteous, excellent work, and fairly priced. I've found my new go-to Ford shop. :) Also, they are right next to a $5 movie theater so I just hung out there while they worked, haha. They are also right next to the light rail. read more

My Ranger only gets serviced here since I got it 6 years ago. Always great turn around and honest work/communication. However today (a Friday afternoon) I got to experience how awesome they are. I had my ranger towed to the shop in the morning when it shut off on me on the freeway. They quoted me for looking into what happened, then later had let me know the timing belt had broken. They knew I needed it for work the following monday so they went right at it to get things taken care of. So grateful for the hard and honest work. read more

Honest. Skilled technicians and problem solvers. We have been going to Campbell Ford Performance since the days of my son owning a vintage XR4Ti Merkur some years ago. When the brakes on my 2008 Shelby GT500 needed work a couple weeks ago, I took my car to Bob, who I trust to do the job right, not upsell me unneeded work, and charge a fair price. Not the case with some of the local Ford dealers or other mechanics, unfortunately. I strongly recommend Bob and Campbell Ford Performance if you are smart with money and want to get the most life and performance out of your car. read more

I had called Campbell Ford Performance to discuss the "Brake fluid low" warning message. He took the time to explain the possible issues and agreed to do a best case effort to fix it in time before their Christmas break. I had dropped off my Ford Focus with them overnight and after the diagnostic determined that the brakes have to be replaced, agreed to the proposed estimate - which was honest and fair. He and his mechanic completed the job despite my last minute business altered their plans little bit. Bob was friendly, and provided the best customer experience at a fair price. Why would I ever take my car to any other mechanic or the dealership anymore? read more

Finally found a place where I can bring my car in for maintenance and service. These guys have a fast turn around lead time, great and reliable service, they worked on my Mustang and solved the check engine light issue right away! Very satisfied and highly recommended for Ford owners!!! read more

Fantastic shop! Just took my Mustang there because my "check engine" light came on. They did a full diagnostic and reported that the problem was just some junk preventing a good seal from properly sealing - no replacement or repairs needed. If I took it to the dealer, there is no doubt they would've replaced some part that didn't need replacing and charged 5X what Campbell Ford charged. First time that the "check engine" light resulted in a paltry $100 bill! Was expecting a LOT bigger tab, based on past experience with the Ford dealer. I'll be trading in/selling my Mustang for another one in the next few years, and you can bet I'll take the new one to this place for everything as well! read more

I have been doing business with Bob Brink and Campbell Ford Performance since 1994, They have provided high quality service on our Ford 'hot rods' and our daily Ford and Lincoln cars and truck. They have provided simple service such as an oil change to much more complicated issues...and I have never needed to return for a 'second try' to fix any issue we may have had on any of our vehicles. And the work and service has always been provided at a reasonable charge. If Yelp had 10 stars for a rating...Campbell Ford Performance would get 11! I suggest that you not even have a second thought about doing business with Campbell Ford Performance! They really are that good... read more

This is an update review for Campbell Ford Performance. I have also just added photos of two of the six Fords I have had serviced and repaired with Bob at Campbell Ford over the past 25+ years. The classic white Mustang was serviced there for the majority of the 32 years we owned it (the longest) and our old F-150 only for a year until it was given to a daughter out of town (the shortest). Meanwhile the gold Explorer has been taken care of exclusively by Bob (and Ron before him) for 15 years. The keys to the success of this shop have been 1) honesty and straightforwardness, and 2) the ability to communicate directly with the people doing the work on your car. This includes expressing your concerns when you bring the vehicle in and a clear summary of the diagnosis and repairs needed or completed. Bob always seems to have time to listen to your concerns (and talk a little about classic cars). When looking for a repair shop for my German import cars, I looked for these same characteristics, based solely on my experience over the years with Campbell Ford Performance. read more

I have a vehicle that other repair shops shuddered when I asked about my wife's 1988 Lincoln Mk7 LSC. Yes, in it's day it was the "State of the Art" car. Ford pioneered American anti lock brakes as well as other features that are now considered standard equipment on most cars. Because of the technology at the time (remedial on board computer systems) their ABS system was complicated but extremely effective. The Campbell Ford Performance knew what the problem was and fixed it with minimal charge! That rates 5 stars in my book. read more

Courteous, always honest, and a bit old-fashioned, which is nice. The owner isn't going for volume, just trying to make sure when he embarks on a fix or rebuild, he can make it the way you like. Refreshing, and totally campbell style. read more

They refused to give me a written estimate for the repairs...I was told that it wasn't worth their time to write it up. I left and brought my car to Frontier Ford. They gave me a written estimate in less than ten minutes. I will never go to Campbell Ford Performance again. read more

This place is great! They are professional, thorough, honest and the pricing is completely fair. This is my second consecutive time taking my 2001 Ford Escape there and they have exceeded my expectations as a car care place. I asked for a 'check up' and they came back with some recommendations and some items that needed to be fixed right away. They even saved the parts that were replaced so they could show me how it should not look. Incredible service overall, these folks are great! read more

Honest, inexpensive, competent, friendly, and quick. You could pay way more at the dealership for a lot less service but why?

This is a service place that I actually love coming to. Bob is super nice to talk with, prices are great, they get the work done quickly... Strongly recommended if you own a Ford. read more

These guys do quality work. Honestly they repair with no questions asked. They repaired our ford vans brakes and they ran like a champ.

Have been taking my 06 Mustang here for about a year. They will tell you what your options are, they do what they say they will (on time), and they are decent people. After they did the suspension work I wanted done, they took the time a few days later to make sure that everything was nice and tight in the back - I thought I heard some random noises and they confirmed all the components were installed correctly, no questions asked. They are busy, so you do have to pick your spots about engaging them in long conversations, but technically, they are nails and know what to do to fix/improve your car, so that's not an issue for me. Very positive results from Ron and his team. read more

I have been taking my Fords to these guys for about 10 years. They are extremely fair and honest. I'm now living in San Mateo and drive all the way to Campbell to have my Expedition serviced. I have tried other mechanics since my move and NONE even come close in price and quality of service. These guys are the "real deal." read more

About a year ago I needed a new clutch in my Mustang Mach 1 and wasn't sure where I could trust to take it. I found this place driving by and immediately thought to inquire. I'm so glad I did! They had the best price for parts and service. (The dealer wanted $995 for the clutch alone) This place had the factory clutch with installation for less. Before I took it in I read some of the reviews here and felt good about going there. The guys there were very friendly and knowledgeable. The clutch is working great and I will continue to take my car there in the future. read more

I was quite happy with the service. Figured out the problem of why the truck engine would stop running while on the road and wouldn't start again. Let us know the status before doing the repair. Just to clarify...the owner alleviated my concern about the earlier bad yelp review. They only do mechanical work on Ford vehicles and that's all they specialize in. They don't do body work. read more

Excellent service. Minor service completed in less than an hour. Fast, friendly, courteous service. Thanks Bob!

I have been going to Campbell Ford Performance for a decade. They have done consistently great work, on time and at reasonable prices, they have diagnosed issues quickly, they communicate with you promptly and helpfully (imagine!), and more than once they've helped me avoid needless expenditures suggested by other shops. In fact, their service is good enough to make me seriously consider buying a new vehicle on the basis that I can bring it to them, rather than another brand, and there is no higher praise I could give any mechanic. Plus they're cool, genuinely nice guys, the kind of people you *want* to give your business. You will not be disappointed. read more
