I had an appointment with Linny today and had a great experience. She did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. The procedure was very smooth, gentle, and completely pain-free. Linny was professional, caring, and made me feel comfortable throughout the visit. Highly recommend! read more

After two years without taking proper care of my teeth, I finally decided to come back for a dental visit, and I'm so glad I chose this office. Dr. Yim did my cleaning, and Colleen took my X-rays. They were both incredibly kind, gentle, and professional, making me feel comfortable and never judged for how long it had been. Dr. Yim was thorough and explained everything clearly, while Colleen made the X-ray process quick and easy. The entire team was welcoming and caring, turning what I thought would be a stressful appointment into a wonderful experience. I left feeling motivated to take better care of my oral health and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! read more

Visited Dr.Tran's office to get an dental evaluation for my dads tooth that was in pain. Dr.Tran was very patient and thorough with her inspection and diagnosis with patient comfort and best in interest top of mind. Would've definitely choose this dental office if my dad didn't need more urgent care for the tooth. read more

I visited Campbell Dental for the first time the other day. I was impressed by the detailed and professional dental services. As a new patient, I received a thorough assessment and dental cleaning. I appreciate the helpfulness of the front office staff as well. read more

I came to see Dr. Tran for an emergency refilling after breaking my old filling from years ago (I was eating hot Cheetos when it happened ...). I am so thankful for Dr. Tran and her team for fitting me in her schedule. She is such a kind, gentle, and knowledgeable provider. She made sure I felt comfortable by explaining what she was doing. I highly recommend getting your dental care here as I will definitely be coming back again!! read more

Top tier care with quality service - the practice is in such a convenient spot in downtown Campbell with lots of parking. Office was clean and all the staff members I interacted with were really sweet and professional. I was seen by Dr. Tran and she was very knowledgeable and thorough. It was the most gentle cleaning I've ever received and I will definitely be going back! read more

I came in for a cleaning and exam and had such a great experience. The front desk was friendly and efficient, and Dr. Tran was thorough, gentle, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The whole visit felt smooth and comfortable from start to finish. I've also seen Dr. Yim on a past visit and had an equally great experience. Highly recommend this office read more

This is my first time establishing care with a dentist after 2 years of being without dental care. I was nervous for this appointment, but from the moment I entered the office the staff was so friendly and welcoming. My dental assistant Pauline was awesome, personable and made me feel very comfortable and seen. She reassured me that if something was found, they would take good care of me, which put me at ease. My dentist Dr. Tran was very professional and informative. We reviewed images of my teeth, discussed a treatment plan, and she throughly answered all of my questions. I was most concerned about my receding gums which she suggested a night guard and helped set me up for retainers. I'm looking forward to these two items. We discussed preventative measures, different types of floss. I did not feel rushed in my appointment at all. Great team here, very respectful and kind ladies. I will be back for follow up and all my future cleanings. read more

With the new ownership of Dr Yim and Dr Tran, the service is truly amazing. Both Dr use their time really explaining the treatment and making sure I was comfortable. You can tell that the Dr truly care about our oral health. Definitely will recommend! read more

She is a nice lady but her hands on skills are extremely poor. I had some filling done and they were a disaster. Got infected and caused me many problems. And no it's not me because I'm healthy and have had many fillings done by others with no issue at all. read more

I started coming here after the ownership change and Dr. Tran has been amazing! She explains everything well, leaving me feeling educated and informed about my dental health. She also fixed a chipped tooth and did such a great job I forgot it was even chipped. I have been coming to this office for over 9 years. The previous practitioner, Dr. Young, retired, and I will miss her and Stephen. The new proprietors, are fantastic. I've been seen by both Dr. Yim and Dr. Tran (for cleaning and fillings) and they are gentle, efficient, and kind. Jennifer, the office manager, is always congenial, patient, and accommodating. I'm so pleased with this office :) read more

After coming here years ago, I was hesitant to come back again but finding out that this office is under new owners now, I decided to come in for a cleaning. Jennifer was really sweet and patience with letting me ask all my questions and didn't make me feel like I was asking a lot of dumb questions (I'm a very cautious person). I had a terrible experience with front desks but she patiently waited, heard me out and answer everything in great details. She made my experience coming in off to a great start. I saw Dr Yim and she was very thorough in her discussion on my treatment. She made sure I understand the urgency in what treatment needed to be done and what could wait. She wasn't pushy and I appreciate that. I feel now, some dentist only care about money but I can see Dr Yim genuinely care. read more

I wonder dentist and front desk staff Jennifer! I will go back my a root canal and an implant. I highly recommend this dental office to anyone in the campbell area. They are friendly, punctual, professional and do a wonderful job. Thank you Doc! From Cindy Gonzalez read more

I went to Dr. Young years ago when I still lived in Campbell, CA. I was very young and foolish. I went to her because she was the only dentist that I could find that was open on a Saturday. I was too afraid to ask for a day off work. This was a big mistake. I have since moved and revisited this horrible experience because the tooth that she ground down to nothing needs to be extracted. After several visits of her grinding and grinding, At the end of each visit, she would tell me that she ran out of time and tell me to schedule another visit. This would leave me with a ground down cap-less tooth. I finally got suspicious and told the office staff that I would not be returning. I was returning to my previous dentist even though I would have to ask for a day off. They argued with me saying that I needed to do what Dr. Young said. I replied that I did not and stormed out. I scheduled an appointment with my previous dentist. Upon examining the tooth, he asked me why in the world would I have this done. There was nothing wrong with the tooth to begin with. In his opinion, Dr. Young's care quality was very low. He is a very talented dentist who told me that he would do his best to save the tooth. He did that by performing a root canal and using a gold crown. He told me beforehand that it was a long shot because on one side the tooth was barely above the gum line. This has miraculously lasted for years. Recently, the gold cap has fallen off. I went into my current dentist in the Central Valley who has informed me that the tooth is now too badly damaged to be saved. If you don't want to eventually lose any teeth. Don't go to Dr. Young. Find yourself another dentist. There are many excellent dentists out there. I have had the good pleasure of having two of them! read more

Horrible experience! Will never go back to Dr. young. No sympathy whatsoever for the patients, no bedside manner. She did not even dare to ask or stop when I was in an awful pain during the root canal. I literally screamed at the top of my lungs because of the pain. I made a follow -up appointment for cavity filling, but she messed up my crown from the last appointment and had to spend another 2-3 hours to re-do it, and therefore, didn't have time to do my other filings. She did a terrible job with my crown, I was in pain for almost two months !!! Never experienced anything like this ! She also did not explain my dental problems until I asked. read more

I was scared to go back to the dentists after not going for over three years, and going here made my fear even worse. I went a total of 4 times within three months. The first appt her assistants messed up on the XRAY's and had to redo them a few times. The second appt the doctor was late for over an hour because of traffic, like we all live in the Bay Area please don't make me late for school because you can't be on time to your job. Normally I'm not this rude over reviews and give places a few chances to redeem themselves but everytime I went back new problems arouse. The doctor had to fill in 4 cavities for me and on the first one I was told normally no anesthesia is used with the lazor filler. So I let her fill my cavity with no numbing and I was moving around so much. She didn't even ask once if It was okay. The next three I demanded to be numbed. Two months later my right side jaw still hurts sometimes when eating. After going to a different dentist I was told that this isn't true and you're always supposed to be numbed during cavity fillings. Just don't go here, the staff is unprofessional, the dentist only cares about herself and making money not about her patients. read more

Fantastic dentist and staff -- I truly don't understand any negative reviews below. Steven is a kind, gentle, and patient hygienist and has always done x-rays professionally and quickly. Dr. Namching is thorough and kind -- I had a bad reaction to a local anesthetic and she was very patient and caring, and the staff went above and beyond making sure I was okay. My teeth are in great shape thanks to this practice. read more

This was really embarrassing, because I returned to the dental office where I gave a negative review exactly 3 years ago yesterday. You may be wondering why I went back. It was a bit of emergency as my tooth broke, and this office has the dental record of that particular tooth. Assistant Jean (sp) was kind enough to squeeze me in to see Dr. Emily Kim-Hull on the same day. Yep, that Korean dentist in my original post. I was pretty convinced they didn't recognize me because doctor was super nice, friendly and spent time to explain to me what options I have, the recommendations she thought of, and etc. They would discuss with me about my options as if they were in the same shoe as I was. I was just impressed by this duo! By the way, it turned out that they knew but still treated me nicely. So my fellow Yelpers, I stand corrected and updating my review today. Going forward, I will refrain from writing a negative review based on just one incident. I will promise to give another try. If I'm not going to have the 2nd try then I shall not write a negative review at all. Thanks to Dr. Kim Hull and Jean, I'm a born again Yelper now :) I am happy to have found a perfect dental office in South Bay, and would not hesitate to recommend to all my friends. read more

I found Dr. Young when I became eligible for dental insurance (Delta Dental) though my new job. Prior to scheduling an appointment for teeth cleaning I looked on yelp to check them out, only finding one review. I was directed to their website where I was hoping to find more information on this practice. After reviewing their website and Dr. Youngs bio, I was directed to their facebook page. I liked the 1 review on yelp, their website provided a lot of good background information on Dr. Young, and the fact that they offered a free teeth whitening on facebook is what sealed the deal for me! Who doesn't like free stuff? :D I was able to schedule my appointment online, which was very convenient. They literally list the available times slots so you get to see and pick which day and time you want. My appointment was confirmed via text too, which was cool. At my first appointment at Campbell Dental I was pretty impressed by how clean the office was. New patient check in process was a breeze because I was able to download all of the new patient forms through their website and had them filled out and ready to go by the time I showed up for my appointment. Dr. Young is the only practicing dentist at this office so there was never anyone else waiting. I ended up having quite a few cavities (8 I think), so had about 4 visits to Dr. Young within a span of about a month or two. Usually when a dentist tells you that you have 8 cavities you can't help be a little skeptical, but Dr. Young took digital pictures of each tooth and cavity so I really knew they were there and how bad some of them were. Dr. Young was also flexible with my schedule, which is almost unheard of at a Dr.'s office. I had my first appointment early December and Dr. Young actually came in on a Monday (they are usually closed Monday's) so I could try and get as much work done in 2011 so I would have enough insurance left in 2012 for another teeth cleaning. Thanks Dr. Young! Dr. Young also worked with my budget by filling some of the cavities in the back of my mouth with amalgam rather than the white composite. My insurance didn't cover composite for all of my teeth. Dr. Young and the dental assistant, her son Steven, were both very friendly. The atmosphere was always really relaxed and neither of them ever seemed rushed. Dr. Young was able to explain a lot of what she was doing very thoroughly to me. I am a nurse myself so I like to know exactly what they're doing and why. Dr. Young was gentle and took measures to make me more comfortable when she could tell I was getting uncomfortable. Overall, I was really happy with all of my visits to Dr. Young. I trusted her and was thankful that she was able to work with my schedule and budget. I would recommend Dr. Young to all of my friends and family for dental needs and not just because of the free teeth whitening! :) read more

Dr. Namching is an EXCELLENT AND THOROUGH dentist!! I could not be happier with the services she provided for my 7 year old son. We are an uninsured family of 4 and dental work is very costly, but Dr. Namching pleasantly worked with us anyway. She was gentle and considerate of my childs feelings and explained the process the entire time. For all the work she performed, she is also very reasonably priced. That is usually hard for me to say about any dentist. Dr. Namching, if you read this, I want you to know YOU'RE THE BEST!! Do not hesitate to go to Campbell Dental. You will not regret it!! They give you an appointment for 10:00 and for some reason you're sitting there for two and a half hours until 12:00 12:30 till somebody actually does come in the room to start doing work on you which is bull crap you're letting the ball drop people have things to do if you can't keep the time then you need to let people know this crap ahead of time give them a call say hey we can't keep your time something this is bull crap read more

I was referred to this dentist by a co-worker/friend for a dental emergency (a lost crown and filling). I contacted them and they were able to get me an appointment the next day. The address I found for Dr. Young took me to a different doctor in castro valley (so huge wanted of time) and when I called at the time of my appointment to see if they could still accomodate me, they told me they could not and I planned to go to a different dentist. They texted me (did NOT attempt to call me) later letting me know there was an opening, but by the time I saw the message and called them back they could no longer see me today AGAIN! At the time I had already found another dentist and booked an appointment, so I said that was fine and I appreciate if they remove my number from their list and proceeded to hang up. They called me back immediately to scathe me for hanging up and not picking up their phone call and tell me how rude I was with them. Sorry being in pain is not being rude thanks for the waste in time and prolonging my pain. read more

I wish I could write a positive review for this business. It is right in downtown Campbell so it is conveniently located. However, I had a horrible experience. I had a cavity that required a porcelain inlay. The inlay was made correctly but Dr. Young pushed it on my tooth at the wrong angle. I had to get the inlay removed (meaning I had to spend another FOUR HOURS in the chair) to have a new one made and inserted. I asked for come compensation for this (teeth whitening, etc.) and she refused. I think that when you make a mistake that causes your patient to spend another HALF DAY in the chair you should provide some form of compensation. I've very reluctant to get anymore work done here other than a simple cleaning. read more

I found this dentist via a web search, and went due to proximity to my home in downtown Campbell. Her office is clean and the receptionist is friendly and thorough. She helped to work through our insurance change, and send text reminders for my wife and my appointments. I had a cleaning, two fillings, and a partial crown done and I am very happy with the work. She works fast, diligently, and the finished product fits me better than work I had done at an expensive boutique firm I went to in Philadelphia. SHe is soft spoken, doesn't necessarily say much, but i dont mind that if the work is good. Also, the dentist uses a number of hi-tech tools, from ipads at check-in to a tooth imaging and filling creation program, it was fun to see what she was doing. All in all, i'm very happy with her services, and will continue going there. read more

Very nice receptionist boy, helpful and friendly. Though the service was rather poor. They tried to make my teeth Xray 3 times!!! never experienced something like that before read more

Dr. Young is very professional and competent. She is friendly and answered my questions. Did not try to "upsell" me on services I didn't need. She uses the latest equipment. She does the exam and cleaning (ie, no dental hygienist), with the help of an assistant, so it goes faster and better than just a solo hygienist. Highly recommended! Takes MetLife insurance. read more

My rating is because she didn't hurt me or my teenage son. She lacks personality (in a big way), has no 'bedside manner' whatsoever, didn't seem to care that I couldn't breathe throughout the -entire- cleaning (she did it with a laser so the water intended to keep everything cool that accompanied this work filled my mouth the entire time -- even though her assistant made an attempt to vacuum). When I finally got her attention to ask to breathe, I got about 5 seconds then she started with the dental pick and asked 'do you prefer?'. Of course not, so I went back to feeling suffocated. Not 1 time did she say what she was doing or why...At the end of the appointment she showed me the panoramic x-rays. I asked a question about a numbering system she was using to gauge the need for a deep cleaning. The assistant finally answered the question. (If she had explained why she was calling out numbers to the assistant when she was poking around the gum line of each of my teeth to begin with, I wouldn't have had a question. My son had the -exact- experience. She seems to know what she's doing. Unfortunately, I like it when the dentist explains it to me as well along the way. read more
