The best. The owner has been in business for decades, and his son also works there. Honest and reliable.

Driven Auto in Campbell has earned my complete trust. They care for their customers with honesty,…read morekindness, precision, and--above all--COMPASSION. Whenever my car makes a concerning noise, there's no hesitation: they welcome me in and take care of it. They readily offer a loaner car, which saves me the expense and stress of renting one. That kindness makes such a difference. I have firsthand proof of their honesty. Recently, they told me a repair was covered under warranty. If they hadn't mentioned it, I would never have known. They could have charged me, but they did the right thing. That says everything. A special shout-out to Dillon, the manager--one of the best managers I've encountered in any company. His compassion and commitment to taking care of people truly stand out. I haven't met every mechanic in the world, but I can't imagine finding a team more trustworthy. Honesty and compassion are everything you hope for in a mechanic, and Driven Auto delivers both beautifully.

Dillon was extremely helpful and reassuring, taking the time to explain what needed to be done and making the whole experience stress-free. He was knowledgeable, honest, and wonderful to work with. I had a great experience getting an older car smogged. Even before doing the test, they quickly…read moredid a diagnostic for me to ensure everything was okay since my car had been sitting idle for a few years. They were on time for my appointment and got me out of there quickly. I will continue to go to #1 Auto Repair and Smog for all my smog tests in the future.

I didn't take pictures, as this smog and repair place is just located at a Chevron gas station…read more Well, I actually did take a picture, but there were people in it that might not want to be part of my review and it honestly didn't show much, but not having a good photo didn't seem like a reason not to leave a 5 star review for a good local place who provided really good service. We had to take our Prius in for a smog check (why though, it's a Prius!) and I called in to to make an appointment, which was easy to do. When we arrived, they told us where to position our car, asked for the DMV paperwork, and quickly went about performing the smog check. They performed it quickly, did it for a transparent fixed price (some places charge more for certain cars, including Prius's, which seems strange), and got us on our away quickly. The price was reasonable too - about $60 all in. They pointed us to some chairs where we could sit and wait while they did the test - nothing fancy, but it's good to have an option to sit. For whatever reason, smog checks are something I kind of dread, even though it's always painless. Having a local place that can do this quickly and efficiently for a reasonable price is always worth calling out.

Stress-Free Auto Care

Stress-Free Auto Care

It's hard to find a business these days that actually cares about its customers, but Stress-Free…read moreAuto Care does. Somewhere along the way (covid), customer service seems to have taken a hit, you're often lucky to get what you paid for, quality can be hit-or-miss, and somehow every cash register wants a tip before you've even left the counter. I do most of my own vehicle maintenance, but A/C work is one area I leave to the professionals, only after I have messed it up on my own. After calling around Campbell, I was quoted anywhere from $100 to $210 more than what I ended up paying at Stress-Free Auto Care. The shop is clean, the staff is professional, courteous, and well-presented, and they got my truck finished quickly. What really stood out was the inspection report. They checked all the major components on my truck and included photos of everything. As someone who likes to work on my own vehicles, I appreciated being able to see exactly what they were looking at instead of just taking their word for it. Fair pricing, great communication, and no nonsense. That's getting harder to find these days

This place had a different name before the pandemic (maybe longer ago). I went there one time when…read moreit had that name that included the word "Toyota" in it. I brought my car there for some kind of service, I don't remember what. I didn't go back there because of the prices. Years later, I found a mechanic that I like, but that mechanic is 7 miles from me, so I had been going to different places for oil changes and going to the mechanic for repairs. Long story short, my oil change light came on and I wasn't able to go to my regular oil change place due to an unscheduled closure. I pulled over and looked at reviews. This shop's sister shop had a five-star review and was pretty close to where I was. They had no available appointments, but the manager directed me to this one, which I was able to get an appointment the next day. The clerk told me the oil change also included an inspection. About an hour later, I get a text wanting approval for another $2,200. I knew that my mechanic would charge just over half for the brakes alone, so I declined the other services. That's where it got crazy. I pick my car, and the check engine light and two other lights were on. They hadn't been on when I dropped off the car. When I called it in, the mechanic (or clerk, I'm not sure which) kept repeating "You declined additional services." Now, I'm old enough and competent enough to have changed my oil and even replaced the spark plugs and cables on cars back in the day, so I knew there was absolutely no reason at all that an oil change would cause the check engine light to go on. Essentially, they introduced a problem that didn't exist when I brought it in. So, I called my mechanic and asked whether there might be a reason for the light to have been triggered. He said that it could be triggered if the hoses are not reconnected when they inspect the air filters. That, in fact, was the problem. This leaves me with two possible outcomes, neither of which is good: either they deliberately left the hoses disconnected so that I'd panic and buy the other services or they were careless. I made an appointment with my mechanic, who looked over Stress Free's estimate and then inspected my car. His initial comment was "These guys are expensive as hell," and pointed out one place where Stress Free was going to charge me for labour for a service that would have been part of another of the services. Long story short, I'm having the repair done by my mechanic for less than $1,000.
