After trying to get through on the federal line, understandably clogged due to recent changes in the law ( yay) , I was unable to get someone on the line or make an appointment in our local office. So, I was resigned to go and stand in what I believed would be a very long line to have a very simple question answered. I decided to try to call the local office. I did wait on the line, but not very long. Luckily , a professional and well information agent, Rolf, answered the phone. Very quickly my question was addressed. Greatly relieved! Many thanks. Its not an easy job, for sure.

Efficiency Is Winning…read more I had a positive experience at this Social Security office, especially considering the reputation these offices sometimes get. I live in Downtown San Diego but I needed an appointment within 2 weeks. Q: How long did it take to make the appointment? A: The phone call to reschedule the appointment took about 45 minutes, which honestly was the least efficient part of the process. This could definitely be improved. Q: Was parking difficult? A: Not at all. Parking was easy and convenient when I arrived. Q: Did they take walk-ins? A: Yes. The security guard asked whether I had an appointment or was a walk-in. When I arrived around 10:30 a.m. on a Friday, there was only one person waiting for walk-in services. By the time I left, there were about seven people waiting, so it definitely became busier closer to 11:30 a.m. I don't know the wait time for walk-ins, though. TIP: The first seatingrow closest to the kiosk is the waiting row/line for walk-ins Q: Were you seen on time? A: Yes, actually earlier than my appointment time because I arrived early. That was impressive. Q: What was the office environment like? A: The office was clean, organized, and calm. Even the bathrooms were clean. Q: How was the staff? A: Excellent. The security guard was firm but personable and maintained order without making the environment uncomfortable. I was helped at Window 6, and although I unfortunately didn't get the gentleman's name, he was , thorough and professional without judgment. Q: What was your appointment for? A: I was submitting documentation related to conservatorship and was also able to get a copy of a benefits verification letter during the same visit. TIP: be clear on your appointment description because that will determine how much you can get done in one appointment. Q: How long did the actual appointment take? A: About 30 minutes total, and it moved quickly because I brought all the required documentation with me. Q: Was check-in easy? A: Yes. There is a self check-in kiosk, and you may also receive a QR code by text. I used the kiosk without any issues. Just make sure you have your Social Security number available. Overall, I would recommend this location. I need an appointment in San Diego within 2 weeks and this was the only location that was available The actual in-office process was efficient, organized, and much smoother than expected. My biggest recommendation would be: bring all your documents and mid morning appointments may be best. Parking lot was full at 11:35 a.m. "Efficiency matters when people are navigating important life situations."

I was relieved upon hearing this but then officer Dabney did something that blew my mind! Officer Dabney asked where I was and stated that he would be there in 20 minutes to drop off my card!! Wait! When I didn't physically have it on me and gave him a picture he ticketed me for a different issue. Have to wonder if this is is the type of individuals you want working at your Department. I know I wouldn't. Ridiculous thing I have ever heard! I don't feel safe on the road when my scooter can't go faster than 15MPH and barley goes 8mph up hill.

A day before I received a text reminding me of my appointment. When I arrived to the Social Security office I checked in using my mobile phone from the text I received to check in. Then they text me my ticket number. Once my ticket number was called I received another text with the window number to go to. The guy at the window was super friendly saw my documents and told me I should receive my new card in 2 weeks. He also informed me that after 24 hours their system will be updated with my new name and I could go to the DMV to process my new Driver License with my updated name. The entire process took 15 min. It was super fast and I love how easy they have made it with the update text messages.

And then this same cycle kept happening and now my benefits have been canceled. N now my son and I are going to go hungry and become homeless.

I've attend their meetings and spoken at their events and they just seem to "get it" when it comes to helping the area really thrive. Of course Bureaucracy can't be done away with but they make the processes a bit less painful and genuinely want to help you navigate your way to your answers. As a lover of local joints and authentic neighborhoods, and a former Oceanside resident, I'm so proud to see things evolving in the area.

I keep coming back because the running routes are breathtakingly gorgeous. So while you torture yourself running, you at least get distracted my mindblowing views. I would have to agree with others that the City of Solana Beach is super chill and not too crowded. The older I get, the more I appreciate peace, space and calm. I really love this place and so glad I'm not too far away and can enjoy this beach weekly!

The area on Cedros Avenue is like a walkable business district that has lots of free parking and many varied stores to shop. That business district has about 85 merchants, artisans, one-of-a-kind curators and collectors. Fashion boutiques, fine jewelry, art galleries, outdoor cafes and more, all clustered along a peaceful 2 1/2 blocks in North County's nearby Solana Beach. We loved spending time in this part of San Diego county. Relaxing and cute.

My cousin was based here back in 2005 and I also have an older cousin who was born here back in the 70s. So I do have a little bit of family history here. I didn't get a chance to visit Pendleton until last week for a wedding. According to my cousin there's a beach on base, I didn't get to see it this time around but hopefully I can get to visit again. They have a commissary and also a Dunkin Donuts. I remember before they started opening DDs around SD the only existing one in California at the time was at Pendleton. As I mentioned in my review for the Pacific Lodge, if you have an event on base have your guests pre-fill out forms to make check-in at the gate a breeze. Cute and sweet Marines walking all around base and throughout Oceanside. I love me a man in uniform LOL Men: I am single!
