Best day camp ever! All 3 of my kids are counting down until next summer! If I could only get my kids to stop singing the songs!

Ask the Community - Camp Kinneret

Does camp Kinneret accommodate special needs children or have adaptive activities so they can beincluded?

Hello, Marley! Thanks for reaching out. Each summer we have many campers with special needs who attend our program, some with shadows (or aides) to assist them in their experience while at camp. It would be best for you to give us a call at the… Read more

Do you run the camp in the summer as well?

My granddaughters will be visiting from San Francisco and I was wondering if you do short term enrollment, they will be here for two weeks between July 13-27?…

Thanks for inquiring. Unfortunately, it sounds like your granddaughters won't be here at a good time to experience Camp Kinneret this summer. In addition to being here for only 2 weeks, their first week in town would be the last week of our first… Read more

The eating area is spacious and has plenty of tables. The food is actually better than expected - especially the pizza. Reasonably priced as well. The only slight complaint is the very young staff. All seemed to be high schoolers, and at times, they acted like high schoolers - can't really fault that though... I would recommend!

All the staff members are standing around talking or on their phones. No one picks up the toys or maintenance the games which is a bummer since we pay a good amount for the arcade section and most of the games are broken or have missing pieces The tables where people eat are never cleaned, trash left on the tables. Looks very dirty and uninviting. Staff needs to do a better job cleaning and bussing the tables especially when it's busy. I've been here about 5 times and I see no improvements. Last time I stayed till closing and I finally saw the staff barely picking up everything. But they closed the restrooms off while my daughter needed to use it and they wouldn't let her

We've done the gamut of indoor play spaces in Oak Park and Agoura trying to keep our kids (5 and 2)…read morebusy while visiting Grandma and Grandpa's house. We really wanted to love this place. We love the concept but the cost was just too high to justify the time spent here. It's $30 per child and while it's unlimited play, there's not a whole lot to do after the excitement from interactive screens goes away. It is cool to see the screens be tappable. The sand table is very cool as well, it's interactive so if you make a pile it makes a mountain and if you dig a hole, virtual water fills the space. We've never seen anything like it. But the kids spent about 15 minutes at the table and 10 minutes coloring the big wall screen and 10 minutes in the interactive ball pit. They were done with interactive screens after that and they spent the most time in the little play space with a market and salon. In total we spent about 1 hour and 10 minutes here before the kids were ready to go. It was really hot inside so maybe they would have lasted longer if it was cooler. We were sweating when we got outside. I just feel like $60 could have been spent elsewhere for more fun. Glad we went though - it's kind of a one and done experience. (Adults need grip socks not regular socks so we spent money on that as well.) Edit: These were our own kids here not our nephews and we were charged $30/kid despite the sibling discount.

This was such a wonderful and refreshing experience for my daughter! Reign and Shine offers an…read moreimmersive play environment where kids aren't just playing, but also being mentally and physically stimulated at the same time. There are so many interactive stations from playing "doctor" or "grocery store," to building full landscapes in the sandpit (complete with interactive features like a volcano!). Everywhere you turn, there's something creative and engaging for kids to explore. We stayed for over two hours, and my daughter still didn't want to leave. She's already asking to go back, and we're definitely making this one of our go-to spots! What makes it even better is that they also have workstations for parents who work from home such a smart idea for when you need a little break while your child is entertained in a safe, stimulating environment. The owner was incredibly welcoming, giving us a tour and explaining all the unique interactive experiences. It's rare to find a place that feels this thoughtful and intentional. I would 100% recommend Reign and Shine Play Lab 10/10! Truly a unique experience that every parent and child should check out.

YES I DID CALL POLICE FOR THE ASSAULT ON A FIVE YEAR OLD BY A COACH. My daughter is five and had just come back to coach connie after missing 3 weeks of classes. She wasn't sticking the landing so coach Connie wouldn't give her a high five. My daughter was upset and when it was time to send all the girls for water all three girls ran to the water station where I WITNESSED CONNIE GRAB AND YANK MY CHILD BY THE ARM. She turned her entire body around aggressively to threaten her. I ran over and picked my daughter up and told coach connie that there was no reason to ever grab a child like that. My daughter said she was scared and hurting and that coach Connie told her she was going to punish her. I went to the front office where they pulled the footage, confirmed and said my daughter shouldn't have ran around the corner and it is their protocol to grab the child running around the corner. Only my child was grabbed. The coach was frustrated with my child for not sticking the landing and with her crying. This isn't how anybody working with children should react. I contacted the police department which I believe is lapd. They confirmed they saw the coach grab my daughter but that they stated the owner and the coach both said were safety protocols and because she didn't push, hit, or shove that they couldn't prove assault. Disappointing and disgusted to say the least! IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR CHILD SAFE. DONT GO HERE!

Coach Connie was my daughter's first coach. So I can tell you first hand what an amazing coach she is. In all that time, I have only ever seen a safe, positive, and family-oriented environment. The coaches are incredible -- not only do they help the kids grow as athletes, but they also teach respect, discipline, and responsibility. Sometimes children may not always listen or act respectfully, but I know firsthand that the coaches are always focused on keeping the kids safe and guiding them in the right direction. We have trusted Monarchs with our daughter for over a decade, and I can say with complete confidence that this is one of the safest and most caring gyms you will find. If misunderstandings occur, I would hope families take time to reflect and acknowledge if they were wrong, because the coaches and staff here deserve nothing but respect and appreciation for the work they do. Thank you, Monarchs, for being such an important part of our daughter's life and for always supporting these athletes in the best way possible!
