They usually start on the trampoline, then continue into an obstacle course or stretching followed by the balance beam. It's 45 minutes long which is the perfect amount for this age group. Usually there are about 2-4 kids per class so they can get one on one attention. Coach Hutch is the best. He's so good with the kids and helps with their confidence. Before coming here my daughter was afraid of heights, especially things like the balance beam. I'm proud to say she's walking on the balance beam by herself and she says that's her favorite thing in the class now! She looks forward to this class every week and talks about it all the time too! The facility is clean with an island/beach vibe. They offer lockers and restrooms. Remember to bring water for your kids. Plenty of parking in the lot. I can't wait to see what else she will learn!

We attend Monday sessions with our 5 year old son who truly can't get enough. He counts how many "sleeps" he has until his next gymnastics class. All of the coaches are wonderful but a quick shout specifically to Coach Alexa who is an absolute rockstar! My son is a handful but Coach Alexa is patient, attentive, kind, and encourages him to do the best he can. She motivates him and cheers him on throughout the lesson. Monarchs Gymnastics has been like a second home for our family. Coach Connie was my daughter's first coach. So I can tell you first hand what an amazing coach she is. In all that time, I have only ever seen a safe, positive, and family-oriented environment. The coaches are incredible -- not only do they help the kids grow as athletes, but they also teach respect, discipline, and responsibility. Sometimes children may not always listen or act respectfully, but I know firsthand that the coaches are always focused on keeping the kids safe and guiding them in the right direction. We have trusted Monarchs with our daughter for over a decade, and I can say with complete confidence that this is one of the safest and most caring gyms you will find. They run skills and circle time even if it's just two kids who show up for class, and still bring their positive energy. The staff on the floor make this My Gym exceptional. It's easy to mail it in on jobs like this, but these gals show up and seem to really enjoy their jobs. Parking is always available in the big lot, even though it's sweltering in the summer to park out there. Oh I just remembered that there should be covered parking downstairs. Practice and Play is an open play class which we personally prefer over Gymsters/Siblings, but the circle time does have nice loose structure when there's a different focus area. At the end of the day, for a 2 year old, it's just the most fun indoor playground for her. She loves the monkey mascot and her My Gym socks (required; first pair free; a reasonable $3.50/pair afterwards). Major draw of this place is the AC during the extreme valley heat. When it's too hot to play outside, this is where you want to be. This My Gym is right next to Re: Coffee which is awesome for parents who need a caffeine fix before kid class!

I am a school social worker with a background in child development. I was searching for a developmentally appropriate location, with experienced educators, and also a well organized and clean space. This location exceeded our expectations. The instructors seem to all love children, watching them grow, and develop new skills. I have observed instructors know their students by name and encourage them to try new things. They also respect personal boundaries and not force children out of their comfort zones. Overall, we appreciate how classes are organized and how prepared instructors are for each class. as a new mom feeling intimidated in a new space filled with what seemed to be experienced parents, I truly appreciated how Elaine and Karina made me feel right at home. They were the first instructors that I connected with there, which is why I wanted them to be apart of our son's special day, his first birthday! We absolutely love all of the instructors and can tell that they love working there. Thank you to Elaine and Karina for throwing our baby boy the best birthday party! all of the kids had so much fun! it was particularly important for us to have instructors there who connected with our son and made him feel safe. I can objectively write that Burlo gymnastics has offered a fantastic environment for my daughter and she is experiencing A++care and instruction towards her personal goals . Professionalism- from the moment you arrive there is an attentive person whom gives you a packet with guided information as to expectations and prices . There is also an on-site vendor of the equipment if you need immediate replacement. Experience- their coaches all have excellent knowledge of the sport, and are themselves accomplished athletes whom are well versed in this sport. Class is carried out with integrity and respect for the athletes, while also maintaining a high level of instruction. Responsible - from the moment you drop off your child you know that your child is their priority and that any shenanigans won't be tolerated, modeling proper behavior in and outside the gym. Facilities - Clean / organized / and in these times health protocols are followed (masks) . Environment- Positive and nurturing, all with the objective of meeting individual goals and elevating skills in this sport. Communication - parent informational meetings, equipment, music, routines all discussed and ready for the next season. That is when I knew that this is not the place for me to bring my daughter because behavior like that, even over the phone, is not going to work and I would not feel comfortable leaving my daughter there. They need to train their employees, whoever they are, to be more gracious on the phone to potential clients !

She really wanted to participate, but we were a little concerned that she may get hurt with all of the older kids running around and being excited about the party. There were two instructors for the class when it started, but one of the female staff named Desi or Dezi (spelling?) soon joined to help my daughter and make sure she could participate and have a great time. She was absolutely amazing with my daughter! She was so involved and really made sure that my daughter was safe and having fun. She singlehandedly made the experience awesome for my daughter and our family. It was my daughter's first time trying gymnastics and she absolutely loved it. Desi/Dezi really went above and beyond. It's almost as if they aren't being paid to be there. If the customer service doesn't improve I will be removing my daughter altogether.
