We put our daughter in at 3years of age and she went for a little less than a year. SHE LOVED IT! Her listening skill improved massively. The all the coaches are amazing and so was the owner! My daughters have been going here for awhile now. We came from a nearby gym that was not meeting our standards. From day 1, we were welcomed with open arms and the staff has been accommodating to any questions or concerns. The great thing about small businesses is that they make you feel welcomed and most importantly like family. This is what Paramount does. Looking around and by speaking to parents, they are beyond satisfied as well. Their instructors care for their students beyond being a gymnast, but as an individual as well. I trust leaving my child here for camps and classes since their staff care for the well being of their kids. The only downfall is that they do not offer a referral discount (since they are usually full) but I still gladly refer EVERYONE. I love Paramount and I will continue to. My almost 3 year old just started gymnastics here a few weeks ago and loves it. All she talks about is gymnastics now. It's the highlight of her day. My daughter loves her coaches, especially Debbie & Liang. They challenge the kids, but are still are mindful of safety, while keeping it fun and engaging, which is essential for the little ones. Lots of high fives, hugs, tickles, stickers, which is the icing on the cake for toddlers. Even though I am a parent, I am also a professional dance teacher and former competitive gymnast. I judge good coaches by the quality of their students and their ability to bring out the best in them. They produce top quality gymnasts here. Every single child in their gym is in top shape even their recreational students. They really condition their bodies well. These kids make me feel out of shape. My daughter was there for almost 2 years, but unfortunately we had to leave because moved to North CA. She loved it.! Her coaches were great and put a lot of effort to help her to become a better gymnast. Liang--head coach and his wife Tina are truly the best owners you can wish for. Kids love them. They created a very friendly environment for everyone.. During the pandemic the gym was closed but coaches keep training kids on zoom and although it was not easy to do, we were doing it for months. Finally gym got opened, and my daughter was really happy to get back. I have nothing but positive experience with the gym and want to thank all coaches--Jade, Stella, Karina, Yannick, and Liang.! My daughter has been here almost 2 years now. She is now on the team, and it is a great experience all around. She is also in the camp, which makes getting her to class a LOT easier. Let me just say that the only pleasant experience here was the initial phone call to this place asking for a trial class. I spoke to a gentlemen, I believe the owner. This place reeks! Smells like dog. The owner (wife) was at the front desk when I walked in. I Told her I was there for a trial class and signed the paperwork needed. So she took the paperwork back and said nothing. I stood there for about two minutes and finally asked, should I just stand here? She looked at me as if I asked a stupid question and said yes, there are still two minutes til The class starts. The coach then walked out and Instructed the kids to lineup. Mind you, she did not introduce herself to me or my daughter. I asked the coach if we should follow, she said yes. They began to walk out to the training area and told the girls to put their shoes away. Again, it is my first time here and have no clue where things go. So I ask again" Where should I put our shoes? It is our first time here." She says "I know " and pointed to the book shelf. She then turned around and continued walking. So my daughter followed. At the end of the class nor the owner or coach approached me to say thank you or ask what I thought about the class. They certainly don't Deserve to have my daughter there nor for my husband and I to spend a single dollar at this facility. I would recommend you look elsewhere ! read more

Stay away from this gym. They work with a company called Big Fun - Gene Hurwin OT. He has you pay him large sums of $cash$, runs an insurance scam, and does not even show up for his appointments. Please do not go with Big Fun. So many better companies! I spoke with the owner of Paramount Elite Gymnastics while I was at the location - they were no help and quite rude. I love this gym. My daughter loves it and loves her coaches. It's close to my home so it's convenient.

My daughter has been a gymnast since the age of 2, and she's 13 now. Through all those years, gymnastics has been the MOST important thing in her life (which is necessary when you are spending at least 16 hours a week doing it!). She made many sacrifices to be a gymnast, and her life, basically, was limited to gym and school, and little else, 365 days a year. For as long as she could dream, her goal was to compete optionals. Our daughter joined PEG over 2 years ago, right after the gym opened, as a Level 5 gymnast. After a brief adjustment period -- she'd been with her last team for 7 years -- she fell in LOVE with PEG, her new teammates and the coaches. She wore the PEG leo with pride! Unfortunately, several injuries, a few serious, others nagging, delayed her growth, which, truth be told, put her on the wrong side of her coach, Yannick. I'm sure the fact that she has a strong personality and can be sassy when pushed, factored into the love-hate relationship which developed between them. However, it was a freak, life-threatening illness -- which put her in Cedars Sinai for over a week and literally out of commission for nearly 3 months -- that really was the beginning of the end. In truth, the time out of training not only weakened our daughter's gymnastics skills, it also impacted her emotionally -- I guess nearly dying will do that to you! Not surprisingly, she had a hard time once she finally got back in the gym, and coach Yannick showed little empathy for her situation and an even greater disdain for her lack of progress as she struggled to get back in shape in the first six weeks or so. Sometimes he ignored her, other times he was flat-out mean, but he constantly questioned her commitment and goaded her over being out of shape. In my opinion, that is bullying, and it all just pushed her into a further depression, which I'm sure, frustrated him more. Before long, one of the other coaches -- his friend Shevon -- piled on, to the point where my daughter felt ganged-up upon. Eventually, it reached the point where instead of feeling safe and supported at PEG, our 13-year old began to dread going there. And the resulting anxiety invaded every other facet of her life, including school. Other parents called and expressed concern to us over the stories they heard from their own kids about the treatment being dished out, and when we tried to talk to Yannick about the situation, about his approach, we got little more than half-interested platitudes. We were told to stop complaining and that if she didn't like it, our daughter could take a demotion -- leaving her teammates behind -- to be with another coach. The head coach basically ignored us. As parents, we tried to protect her and encouraged, frankly BEGGED her to quit, but she refused. She didn't want to give up her dream or leave all her friends, and we were loathe to force it. Eventually, it got SO bad that our daughter couldn't sleep at night, and cried many times either before or after gym. We felt helpless. Boiling it down, Yannick flat-out stole the joy of gymnastics from our daughter. He ruined a lifelong dream, and after one awful dagger-filled day, she mustered the strength to walk out and never look back. It was the only recourse she had, and now we are left to pick up the pieces and rebuild her battered self-esteem. The fact that we were paying PEG each month for this awful life lesson, only makes it harder for me, as a dad, to stomach. I thought long and hard about sharing this story, and because we truly wanted the best for the other girls on the team, decided to wait until the 2014 States competition was over before posting. But for that same reason, this needed to be aired. Other parents have a right to know what COULD happen. In fairness, Yannick is a terrific technical coach, and our daughter did get better as a gymnast under his tutelage. The team is fantastic, one of the best, and in NO WAY is this intended to infer that all of the coaches act this way, or that every child is treated this way. But in my opinion, Yannick is a negative person who needs to adjust his style to fit his gymnasts, and if he can't, then I believe, he should not be coaching impressionable, emotional young girls who take every encouragement AND dig to heart. The fact that not one coach bothered to check-in when our daughter was spiking 105 fevers in the hospital (or after she silently cleaned out her locker and left), reveals a lot about the culture at PEG. I'm sure they'll say this is just sour grapes, and I will admit, our stomachs are filled with proverbial acid. However, it IS also the sad truth, and that's on them. In my opinion, no kid deserves the treatment our daughter received, and Yannick should think long and hard about whether he should be coaching! My advice to you, if you are considering PEG and specifically, coach Yannick: beware, be vigilant, and never let an adult bully your kid! Life is too short. read more

Great gym! Excellent coaches! I drive 25 minutes each way to bring my USAG daughter to this gym! The coaching staff is very well trained and the gymnasts are all hard working and happy. Yes happy to do hours of gymnastics almost every day! Emotionally happy and healthy because these coaches understand that these super girls are still kids. Gymnastics is hard and takes so much dedication. These coaches know how to push the girls when needed and pull back when needed. Oh and no drama!! It's all just gymnastics. Paramount Elite is a wonderful home for a gymnast. My daughter started here when they first opened. I think that was just a little less than two years ago now. At that time, there were only about 35 girls on the team and there were no classes at all. Now, they have over 100 girls on the team and they have full classes too. They've grown incredibly fast and there's a reason for that: They are fantastic coaches! The coaches who run it, Sarah & Liang create a positive, energetic, fun atmosphere. They are both very special people with big hearts. Sarah is an amazing force with a huge capacity. Sarah has gone above and beyond for my daughter when we had special needs. Their team of other coaches is also wonderful. It's a special place that I'm very happy to be a part of. read more

Very disappointed in the management of this facility. Firstly the gym is in dire need of renovations and newer equipment. Most of it is torn and very old. The facility is very run down and for the money we as parents pay....you would def not expect this. We were on team at this gym and not only was my daughter not given opportunities that other girls less talented were given , whenever I voiced a concern about something going on in the gym or in my daughter's group to the head coaches/owner (as requested by our coach ) , my emails were completely ignored! No acknowledgment! Very unprofessional coaching and staff. In top of that once we left and moved On ....our old coach would harass us constantly by calling and texting me !! Completely unprofessional. This gym also breeds competitiveness between girls on the same team and among parents too!! Avoid peg if possible. Horrible decisions being made around placement of girls in certain groups and teams. seems as though the Parents are running the show over there. There are a lot better gyms for get money your paying here!! I could say say so much more about this place but I don't have the time to go on and on about this. read more

I can't believe that it has taken me so long to write this review! My 4-year old daughter started out in rec classes back in November 2017, and has been on the Mini Stars team since January of this year. I cannot say enough positive things about this gym...I don't even know where to begin! My daughter is beyond obsessed with her coach (Teodora), and I have been so impressed with how Teodora works with the girls. She provides the perfect amount of structure, but is also very loving and kind. My daughter misses her so much on her days off from training, and always asks to see her again the very next day :-) Coach Liang, one of the owners of the gym, has also impressed me greatly...he is very involved in the day-to-day workings of the gym, and has even trained the Mini Stars on occasion. He is very kind and encouraging. The team girls are just lovely to boot...incredibly talented gymnasts (my daughter learns so much just by watching them in action!), who have been so wonderful to my daughter, providing my little one with mentorship and lots of hugs! My three year boy goes here. Molly his teacher is adorable and super patient. They take it seriously and it is an actual gym not a kiddie class so the parents sit in a separate room behind a glass window. At first I was confused and concerned but then it actual sold me ! I don't have to help and monitor and I get to sit for an hour ? I'm in !km sad that boys can't continue once they hit a certain age but I love that he's Learning actual gymnastics and not just a watered down toddler version. They are also great about allowing makeups. Also I read a prior review about the woman ( she's not a GIRL ) at the front. When I first went she was very busy ( as she is the ONLY person working it and is in charge of all the kids and parents ) and I could see someone might find her a bit short. As I have gotten to know her she is in fact super sweet and lovely and helpful. She has watched my son when I had an important phone call , she knows me and greets me warmly and I believe she is simply busy and working hard. People like to jump on people in the service industry for ONE experience and had the woman enrolled her kids I bet she would have seen that she was mistaken about first impressions. read more

I call PEG the Rocky gym. Other gyms may be newer, have fancier viewing rooms and coffee bars but they have the coaching and training of the highest level. I took my daughter here 1 year ago because of the character I saw in the team girls at competitions. I believed that must have trickled from the coaching and I have never been more right. My daughter also had a personal hard time with coaches speaking loudly to her, like a cheer squad leader, she just wanted a gym with coaches that spoke to her like a person and helped her achieve personal goals. She gets that here! From the true care and kindness my daughter gets from the front desk keeper and sometimes nurse and band aid distributor Natalie to the family style support of team coaching, along with guiding her to break through fear walls, PEG has given my daughter an extended family or tribe with similar like minded goals. read more

The coaches at Paramount Elite are excellent and so skilled in every way. They manage to make gymnastics fun while teaching the kids amazing techniques and skills. The kids who train at this gym all seem extremely happy to be there, and they seem to love their sport, which is so important. Been looking around for a gym for my daughter to train at. Run down gym with dirty equipment who don't care about providing any level of customer service. They don't return calls, had to call about 6 times, leave messages and email and no response. Finally get a hold of a coach named Sarah, come in for an evaluation and talk about placement in the team program, she said our daughter did pretty well and she said she would call the next day after she spoke to the owner to see where to place her - well surprise, surprise - no call back again. A week later finally spoke to some rude front desk girl for them who wouldn't let me speak to Sarah only to give me the run around about how they don't have room on the team for my daughter. They couldn't tell us there on the spot when we were there? If you are not in the position to make a decision then don't do evaluations, it's a waste of time and you are doing a disservice to potential clients. Terrible service and waste of energy and time for an average gym. Save your time and efforts and look elsewhere. read more

My son loves this place. When we were considering gymnastics, I let him take trial classes at 3 different gyms so he could choose the one that he felt most comfortable with. and he chose PEG. He looks forward to Friday when he has gymnastics. He's in quite a few activities right now: soccer, dance and gymnastics, but the level of excitement for gymnastics is through the roof and nothing else comes close. I wish PEG offers more sessions for boys, currently there's only one class per week on Fridays at 7pm. We travel quite a bit and have missed a few sessions without being able to makeup for them because there isn't another time within the week for the makeup, but fortunately the school is understanding and willing to prorate for the missed sessions. Overall I'm very grateful to have found Paramount Elite Gym. read more
