Great camp for kids! Staff is amazing and the activities for the kids keep them entertained all day.

It was another fantastic summer with Camp Encino! Hannah aka Bananas is now running the camp and she's doing an excellent job.

He walks away from camp having a fantastic time and learns so much. One of the biggest things this camp has taught him is he can explore and fail without fear, he is given the tools and support to bounce back if something he is making doesn't work the first time. The staff is amazing, they are full of enthusiasm and smiles right when you arrive. The camp director is out greeting families and ready for any questions you may have. The camp counselors always check I.D. At pick up and gives you a short summary about their day. Every time I have dropped off my child I walk away knowing they are safe and know that he is well taken care of. I couldn't ask for a better camp, all around, the whole experience is phenomenal. My youngest will be joining my son this summer, my only regret is not finding this camp sooner.

Overall, was dissapointed with the experience at the camp. For $450 a week (a credit we had after…read morethey went bankrupt before) I was hoping our son would be excited each day to return and want to go back again next summer and that just wasn't the case. After the second day, my son didn't want to return. We had him continue, but that's never a great sign and he's used to being in camp most of the summer and its very social. The camp seems to be outside majority of the day. This wasn't higlighted anywhere when we signed up and pictures showed a real mix of indoor outdoor. It's just a lot for the age group in 85+ temps daily - he was just wiped out each day and a big reason he didn't want to return was because he was in the sun all day doing the work. He was also filthy each day, coated in dirt not paint which is fine but was unexpected for a STEM camp. Most camps spend a lot of time outside, but when you are on the campus of a school you typically find a better mix. They did have a water day, but from what we heard the time with water play was really limited. Communication before camp seemed good, we got a camp guide with high level info. After camp started, there was nothing other than what our son shared each day. That is fine, other than the fact two of the days they had themed dress days - makes it hard the night before to ensure your son has a specific color shirt or an amusement themed shirt. Knowing this in advance would help. I also called once to clarify how to dress for the water day since our son was told to wear clothing over his bathing suit which makes sense for a girl but weird for a boy - when I asked Sam the camp director if he should come wearing it and just bring a change of clothes he rudely told me no change of clothes "they are playing outside and it's the Valley, they will dry" - as if I'm unaware of where I sent him to camp. He swims daily at camp normally and always has a change of clothes. Again, just seems they can't use the facilities of the school or don't want to deal so things are just a bit odd.

The owner of Art Rebel is an amazing artist named ponti. He has an incredible business in Art Rebel…read morebut beyond that he himself is a iconic artist I had set decorated a 20th century fox show called Empire and I had reached out to him to give him the color, palette and size and had him do several custom paintings for Terrance Howard's office and other sets. He collaborated with me in regards to the colors that I needed and also some different styles. He has a amazing inventory of iconic art that I would urge anyone to ask him to see for purchase. Also, upon commission like I did with him for a show any Set Decorator or designer or person that loves art would love him. This particular character was Terrence Howard, who was a hip-hop Mogul in the story so the hip-hop vibe that is very much alive in pontia work was perfect. I can't say enough about his business Art Rebel because it is from adult fun to kids but extremely unique compared to a typical art business for corporations or birthday parties as it has an edge to it and is very hip and unique in the style that they present to the customer in Art Rebel! So much fun and you forget about your problems and very healing for me.

Ponti helped execute my vision for the party and he and his staff were so helpful and pleasant the entire night. They brought such great energy! My guests were wowed by the space and had a blast looking at all the artwork and details under the blacklights. We converted one of the rooms into a designated dance floor for swing dancing (though we ended up dancing in the main room as well!) and had activity stations that included spin art, neon playdough, and a graffiti wall to doodle and write birthday messages, which were all so fun. The speakers were integrated in every room and with the volume turned up, it was such a VIBE. There are blacklights in all rooms except one, which we used as the designated eating area with plenty of room to set up food and utilize the bar. We were a group of about 40 people (including the staff) and honestly could have crammed about twice as many people in there if we wanted! It's a lot more spacious than it looks in photos. In the end, I was more than happy with the group size since there was enough space to dance and play without feeling crowded. I couldn't recommend Art Rebel Studio enough for events, it was a total blast. Huge THANK YOU to Ponti & Team for such a memorable night!!

It's usually fairly calm when we begin our workouts in this area, the fields are empty and quiet. It's peaceful and the solitude is tranquil. I assume when many matches, games, practices etc are taking place the vibe is different. My son loves this area while I don't typically gravitate towards it much anymore, unless I'm with him. I've grown quite comfy heading right out my front door for upwards of 20mile runs (with out and back routes) but I used to like lapping a place several times. I just don't see the point in driving a car to a place to do what I can do from home. I'd almost rather run here from my neighborhood do a lap or two and run home but I don't typically run West of home. My son and I spend time together here, whether it be running or taking 7-15mile walks (he rucks carrying anywhere from 35-55lbs and I'll typically carry about 20 ounces of water ;) when I go along on these with him. It's a nice area and it gets the job done. I enjoy our time here, its a sensory and pavement change from some of my other routes and we cover a decent amount of ground in one lap (a little over 7miles). If you are looking for a place to get out and long run or walk for hours in a certain area with very few traffic lights I recommend it. It's also a lovely area to just toss out a blanket to meditate, enjoy a meal, stretch or read a book. While there's a ton of greenery and trees there are spots of heavy exposure, so always wear a hat or sunscreen and bring water if you require it. Bathrooms are scarce. Parking is plentiful.
