Second time here. I ordered two 12 inch pepperoni pizzas and one 12 inch veggie pizza. The young guy at the front said it would be cheaper and more food to get a large pepperoni pizza instead so we did. Pizzas took a while to come out even though there were hardly any tables. But it wasn't a big deal. When the pizzas arrived, they were both large. I wasn't sure if we'd been charged for two larges but it turns out we had. I figured it was an honest mistake so we just let it go. Our friends who came after us also ordered a large and a small pizza, and they also got two larges instead, and they ordered from someone different. Seems weird that both of us had our orders changed to two larges. If I went back, I would be sure to check my receipt very carefully and make sure I was charged correctly. read more

Excellent place for a variety of beers, food options and vibes. Outdoor seating is always a nice touch on a sunny day. Service was friendly and love that it was kid friendly. We brought our 5 year old and took an outside table. The tater tots were a personal favorite. Definitely a nice detour after some troll hunting earlier in the day. Fun atmosphere at this brewery. Unfortunately we went on Memorial Day weekend and they were really busy. Food orders were going to take over an hour and it was a bit pricey too. We just got a few beers and a cider to enjoy and grabbed lunch elsewhere. read more

TASTY MICROBREWS AND OUTDOOR DINING. This Camo Colvos is completely different than the Tacoma one with the exception of the beer and the outdoor dining. They have a variety of sandwiches, burgers etc and even pizza. It is NOT the New York style pizza they serve in Tacoma and definitely not as good. They don't have a full bar but you can get wine or hard cider if you don't want a beer. Which I do recommend. The beer is very good. I was not impressed wit the food. The pizza was so so, and the tater tots were not as crispy or as hot as I would have liked. You order at the counter and you will get a number for any table you can find. In the outdoor area. We liked this place so much that we came back the next day! I love beer, and Camp Colvos Brewing did not disappoint! We were in Vashon for a wedding, wandered into town, and decided we needed a beer. Camp Colvos has a great vibe. It's downtown and has a nice big patio with covering outside and plenty of seats inside too. The staff was very friendly. They answered all of my beer questions and even offered samples so I could find the perfect brew. I really enjoyed the Cold IPA. We ended up staying for another beer and decided to order some snacks. We had the Soft Pretzel Twist with Beecher's Cheese Sauce and the Fancy Veg Pizza. The pretzel had the perfect crust and was soft inside, and the cheese sauce was amazing! We liked the pretzel so much that we ordered another one the next day when we returned. The pizza was also great. It had a thin crust and cooked to perfection. Quiet place, great when the sun is out for outdoor eating. Pizzas are made at a different location and then brought in, so no customizing. Tried a couple of pizzas and a pretzel. All were good and hot, just super super greasy. Very fast service. For the food not technically made in house the price seemed a little high. read more

I go here all the time to just relax, unwind, and listen to music. They have clean indoor seating and outdoor seating. They have a tasty menu and continue to add special items. I enjoy sitting by their fire pits outside and enjoy a nice salad. The staff is very attentive and polite. It's one of my favorite places to go out on Friday nights. read more

Might be the largest outdoor seating for the town. Nevertheless plenty of picnic tables & some with sunbrellas. Right off the main street to enjoy watching the passerbys. I visited the restaurant with family the night before Thanksgiving. We were all excited to see each other for the first time in a while. We were immediately met with bartenders who gave us attitude, talked shit about the literal toddlers with us right in front of us as if we weren't there listening to what they were saying, we were then told that we were being too loud and taking up too much space when there were maybe 6 other people in the restaurant. To solve this issue, my sister in law took the kids outside. This was of course another issue and we were basically told to take the kids and leave. So we did. The food is absolutely nowhere near good enough to be treating paying patrons for flat, cheap, greasy pizza. Don't come here if you're coming with family. read more

Great spot to grab a beer on draft and finger food! While there was no cider on tap, I enjoyed the bottled Dragon Head cider, it wasn't too sweet and paired well with the warm doughy pretzel. There's also Root Beer and a few non-alcoholic options as well. I wasn't a fan of the soggy tots. My brother-in-law enjoyed the pizza. Lots of outdoor seating. Love the huge patio - perfect for a relaxing, sunny day outside + drinks! We ordered the pizza while here - would not recommend. We are used to the Tacoma locations fresh, hot wood-fired pizza and the pizza at the Vashon location is definitely far from that. It's more like store bought frozen pizza reheated in the oven. Our pizza was even still cold in the center - which is weird because it took SO long for the food to come out. We have been enjoying Camp Colvos on our summer trips to Vashon. The patio and service has always been great. I was excited to see they've added pizza to the lineup since our last trip. When my wife asked if she could remove a topping from one of the pizzas and the staff said the pizzas were "pre-assembled" it was a bit concerning but I thought maybe it was just their workflow/preference for the pizzas to come as the menu says. When we got our food I was shocked that the pizzas looked like leftovers! All the cheese was hard and the crust was hard. Even my kids didn't want to eat the cheese pizza. It was in no way a freshly baked pizza, not even a warmed slice. My food was the bbq chicken sandwich and the meat had the flavor like it was leftover chicken and then just got slather in bbq sauce. I've never heard of a pulled meat sandwich where the protein is grilled after the sauce is added. If you look at the pizza pictures for this location vs Tacoma you will see clearly what I'm saying and experienced. Not sure who approved this but it's a poor choice to sell old pizza. read more

The atmosphere was definitely one of the highlights here. Even in the cold winter night, it was tempting to have our drinks outside. The warm lighting and great seating made it feel super welcoming and that feeling doesn't go away once your inside. The staff is super friendly and there (currently) is a nice warm Christmas lighting. They let us try a few samples but they were in tiny plastic cups which I have to imagine they go through tones of. I wanted to like the beer more than I did and that's the main reason it's not five stars. The beer was fine but not worth another glass. The hazy ipa was more hoppy than hazy unfortunately and that was the best of the samples we had. Still a great place to grab a beer but Washington's bar for breweries is so high that it's hard to give a five to. read more

We were visiting Vashon Island and stopped by Camp Colvos for some beer and light lunch. The beer and service were fantastic! The vibe of the place was great as well. A good amount of indoor seating and large amount of partially covered outdoor seating. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food wasn't so great. We ordered the beef and chicken meat pies and were disappointed. The crust was good but the inside lacked flavor and they were on the small side. My daughter ordered the meatball sliders and they were just mediocre as well. The items on the menu are straightforward food fare and could be better with a few tweaks to the recipes. Beer = Great! Absolutely delicious bar snacks! Tater tots are crispy and salty but soft on the inside. The tots go well with the mildly spicy sriracha/mayo sauce. The spinach feta pastie was nice and flaky, which contrasted with the moist and generously sized spinach-feta filling. Camp Colvis is a new brewery that has opened up on Vashon recently. There are plans to open a location in Tacoma and hopefully that will continue to materialize once the coronavirus pandemic has passed. Camp Colvos has a great reputation for sandwiches but alas Steven and I already had a meal and we were only drinking beer for the time being. We tried two kinds of beers here which we really enjoyed. I had the Nicky Da Fin Porter which was a fantastic beer! Steve had thr dark Lager, which also was quite good! We did have a sample of a Scottish Ale which was great tasting as well but alas we were steered in different directions from that as far as ordering a pint goes. The taproom is fun as well as the staff and is conveniently located in the downtown Vashon area which makes the stroll all the more manageable and enjoyable! read more

First time in Vashon Island. This Resturant is one of the most popular place in town. Around 2PM this place is pack of people. Therefore, me and my family decided to give it a try. It turned out, the food and ambiance here is so nice. The servers who placed order for us was so friendly. Pizza is the star here definitely. The crust was so crisp and the flavor was excellent. We only stop by here for about several hours. The beautiful weather for sure made the food and drink even better. If you're ever on Vashon Island and want a casual place to relax and have a beer, I highly recommend this place. They have only been open about a year and seem to be doing well. It has a casual vibe. Looks small on the outside but decent-sized on the inside. It has a rustic yet modern feel. Service was excellent! Hubby had a Saison and he says it was delicious. I had a Cabernet, which was served in a small narrow glass. First time I have seen wine served in that manner. My wine was decent. There were free pretzels on the table. We didn't order any food. Maybe next time. We will definitely be back here. This establishment has 2 unisex bathrooms that are quite spacious and clean. Okay. I need to rant a bit. This is purely due to my New England self being snobby... the outside patio is lovely and the beers are decent. However.... On Fridays they have a lobster roll. Now, being from New England, I will eat a lobster roll at any point and whenever I see it. However, this establishment had the audacity to mix imitation crab in with their lobster and call it a lobster roll... I get it. Lobster is expensive. My husband and I and our friend stopped in for lunch on Sunday afternoon. The customer service was good. The actual lunch not so much. My husband and our friend shared a pepperoni pizza. They were not expecting a spicy sauce. The beer My friend said was very good , which by the way was recommended by the cashier /host. I ordered the seafood roll sandwich which again they put spicy sauce on it. I did not enjoy it , because it burned my mouth . If there was a black van with tinted windows and it said pie inside ... you'd never see me again. With that being said if I do ever find this dream van I hope Camp Colvos pies are inside as well.
