I have spoken to several current and past employees and hear countless stories on the conditions. From improper grooming and kennel maintenance to fights. Dogs getting ears bit open and brought to cabin to "relax". Dogs are groomed completely incorrectly. No brushing prior to baths. Not being allowed to clear ears without it being payed for. Dogs left unattended in drying cabins for long periods of time. One yard has no functioning hose so poop is very hard to clean. I could continue and post an entire list of dogs who should be kicked out and disgusting things staff has been seen doing like lifting dogs by the scruff and dragging them around by collars cuz they don't use slip leads. It's truly just mortifying. Staff is also made to sign documents making sure they cannot speak or post ab what goes on there. Please protect ur animals. read more

My 12 year old dog was attacked there unprovoked and staff could have cared less. We didn't receive a phone call when this happened, just told "I don't think she needs stitches" when we picked her up. we Took her to the vet as soon as we got her, where she ended up needing staples on her face, and has a puncture wound through her ear to cheek. She was lucky she didn't get bit any closer inside her ear or it would be lost. please don't sent your dogs here. They don't care at all, and are clearly not safe. read more

We waited two months for our evaluation and it was a bit surreal. They said it would take about thirty minutes to see how our dog interacted with others. They had us sit on an uncomfortable bench to watch him being introduced to other dogs. From what we saw on the video he looked like he was interacting well. After about 45 minutes we asked if we could go as the plan was for him to stay if he passed the initial "interview". At that point we were told the schedule was for an hour and if we left then we would have to start the process all over again. We said we had to go and they brought our dog out and they said he failed anyway so we could try again. That's not happening. read more

Same review as many have said. The process is unreasonable and now we lost precious time getting our pup acclimated and socialized. She is a year now. The whole point of them going to a daycare is to learn to socialize and play. Because she was too scared at first, they turned her away. And now she is older and they force dogs to smell her butt and she got scared and defensive. My pup is so friendly and playful. I really don't understand their process but we wasted a lot of time. I was going to try one more time but we found another place. If I had known it was like this I would have went somewhere else right way. Disappointed. read more

Not going to write much becuase there isn't a ton to say, but the staff here have all been fantastic every step of the way. We've borded our dog here several times now for extended stays, and she's been to camp at least once every couple weeks and have never had anything short of a great experience. Our dog was adopted during covid and was very skittish around other people, but bringing her to camp really opened her up and she's been so friendly and sweet ever since. The staff love her, the pups inside do too, and whenever she sees that we're packing up to go out with her in the car, she knows exactly where she's going and loves it! She gets excited when she's there and can't wait to get out back to see the other pups, and get some pets. The grooming service can be hit or miss- at the time of writing they've been short staffed, so you need to call WELL in advance to schedule something to have a hope of getting it done, but when it is done they do a really great job. Our dog sheds a TON and I know at least our bath drain loves the relief. Check in and check out is always great, the staff is super friendly and courteous, and any time we've had questions or concerns, or needed to talk to a manager, they're always very responsive and quick to get back to us. read more

I wanted to write an ACCURATE review not one on their Facebook page that they could erase. We heard about this new facility opening and were excited as we were looking for a place to board our (what will be 10 month old puppy at time of vacation) for a week. It took 6 weeks before we could receive an "interview". The day arrives and we bring our 8 month old puppy there for an "interview". We were informed that we spend the first 30 to 40 minutes with our dog and then it will be introduced to same sex dog and then opposite sex and then more dogs so the dog will have time to adjust. THIS IS NOT WHAT REALLY happens. You are told to "sit on the bench" upon arrival and one of the staff members will come and take your dog to the back area. TV monitors are set up to show you 4 "play areas". My puppy was terrified as this was the first time ever going to this type of facility. We asked if we could bring him back, but they said "no, he needs to get used to the facility without you being there" - so on the bench we stayed. They got my puppy back there but he stayed by the door because he was scared of all the barking dogs and this was all new to him. My dog goes to dog parks almost daily with all types and sizes of dogs and has never had an issue but he was fearful of this new experience; perhaps because it is an indoor setting......or maybe because I wasn't allowed to go with him and this is confusing for a puppy. After about 8 minutes (TV screen has the time), they got him in with another dog - a female first (which does not follow their own protocol); he did great. Then brought in another dog and another. My puppy interacted some but he likes to smell so was more interested in the new area. They then brought in another dog who immediately went to "top" my dog....this caused his tail to tuck under and become afraid. THAT WAS IT! He was brought back to us and the staff member told us that we would need to come back for another "re-interview" because my puppy experienced anxiety and "showed his teeth". Are you kidding? We watched the entire thing on the TV screen and at no time was my dog aggressive; quite the opposite. When we mentioned this, the staff member became hostile and stated that he is going to be around a lot of other dogs that can be more aggressive so with the tail tuck and anxiety, they suggest we re-schedule. NOT A CHANCE IN HELL! My puppy didn't want to get humped and moved away. So, after waiting 6 weeks for the appointment and you assessing my puppy for 10 minutes - he doesn't meet your criteria? We are beyond angry with how we were treated; not to mention they clearly don't have any experience as to how to integrate dogs in a new setting. That is why I was informed the dog stays for 3 hours so he has time to adjust. Another note: while we were waiting, a woman came to pick up her dog "Buddy" and was informed that there was an incident earlier in the day with two other dogs - her dog was "ok" but "he might be skittish" tonight and the other dogs were "released" from camp. This was a RED FLAG....you mean to tell me the facility doesn't immediately contact a dog owner if the dog was involved in any type of situation until the dog owner arrives at the end of the day for pick-up? That is extremely unprofessional and not the type of facility that I want caring for my dog while I am on vacation. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! read more

Hi, I initially reached out to camp bow wow during Covid. I believe they weren't open yet, but I was leaving a message and sending an email every other month. Never heard back. Ok. Then they sent all the flyers and I am like ok I will try it. So I called. I heard about the interview process which I was like, 6 weeks ahead wow they must be really busy...wow this place must be so good right? ..so I completed all the information online, got the vaccination and waited patiently for 6 weeks to get in for an interview. I was there today with my doggy for her interview. Very disappointed. Was given less than an hour for my doggy to be acclimated with other dogs. She didn't pass the interview I guess, so my dog failed? wait a minute. Let that sit for a minute. My dog failed?? according to what standards? she is scared, a dog went to sniff her up her butt and of course she got defensive. She is a "Covid" dog, she hasn't really seen any other dogs around in months. Of course she is scared of her surroundings. More time should have been given to get her acclimated to other dogs. 40 min is not enough! where is the other 3 hours we were promised? From the video I didn't see her snap at any dog. she is just scared of her surroundings!!She needs more than 40 min to get acclimated. Of course she is scared. Then I was told she should socialize with other dogs? why did you think i took her there in the first place? I called Sarah at Stoney Hill kennels. she is a bit further down but she is taking my doggy in for boarding. I should have just called her in the first place, saved my self time and frustration. My daughter says everyone likes this place because of the brand new building. sure.... Should every dog that goes there not have a personality? only 40 min for an interview? to assess my dog? really? Really? It's just another corporate chain. Place spotless and fancy right? Not a very first good impression but it sure it is fancy inside! read more

We were promised boarding for a vacation, pending an "interview" which was 6 weeks out and two weeks from our vacation. They assured us the interview was merely a formality. Entry looked inviting, staff seemed friendly. They took my 10 month old puppy in back where I watched the monitor. He attends good citizen class, plays well with other dogs both large and small. He sniffed around in the first play area which was empty but seemed frightened by all the barking and sat in a corner. They then brought in another dog and held my dog while the other sniffed him. He seemed startled but I figured they know what they're doing. They did this with three separate dogs and after each encounter my dog reacted the same, he would sit in a corner quietly. He followed the staff on his leash, followed commands as he has learned. Interview lasted about 25 minutes total. We were told he didn't "fit in, too timid" all this after25 minutes???? They must want tough dogs because based on the other rooms on the monitor your dog better be ready to stand their ground. They did offer us another interview to get him comfortable two months out. Made sure they knew I was upset about their leaving us stuck after promising boarding which ended up being a blessing. Our vet said they haven't heard anything good from there and gave us a contact who was more than happy to take our "misfit timid" dog. Gave them one star because I can't give them zero. read more
