I sent my Doberman, Oakley, here for puppy training and daycare--about three times a week--and completely regret the decision. Not only did I waste a lot of money, but the experience was ultimately traumatic for both of us. In January, I was told that Oakley needed to be taken out of group play every hour and a half for a "time out" because she was "too much." Instead of getting the full day of daycare I was paying for, she was essentially being boarded for half the day. I gave it a shot, hoping they knew what they were doing, but within a week it was clear it wasn't working. I requested a refund and was denied. Trying to use up the rest of the daycare package I had already paid for, we continued--until February, when Oakley was attacked by another dog while playing with a different one. The story about what happened changed multiple times. Laurie and Tim, the owners, couldn't keep their lies straight. First, they blamed "the energy in the room," then shifted to blaming Oakley for being "too intense," and eventually, they banned my dog--the victim--from Camp Bow Wow. Let's be real, Laurie: Brittany is banned, not Oakley. Laurie even claimed she had reviewed the footage "second by second" and still couldn't tell what happened to Oakley. The very first time I watched the footage, it was immediately clear what happened--Oakley was targeted and attacked. Either Laurie didn't watch it, or she didn't want to admit the truth. To make me go away, they eventually refunded the remainder of my package and covered Oakley's medical expenses. I seriously considered filing a civil suit because of the dishonesty and lack of accountability--but unfortunately, dogs don't have legal rights the same way people do. The lack of transparency, the shifting narratives, and the outright fabrications from management make this place unsafe, unethical, and unworthy of your trust. If you value your dog's safety and your peace of mind, stay far away from Camp Bow Wow. read more

Our grand puppies Rufus and Fancy go here for grooming. We have dropped off Rufus on occasion when visiting and he always comes back looking very spiffy and handsome. This place is very cool!! I can't say enough good things about CBW. Rufus is a very special cocker spaniel, my daughter adopted him from an elderly woman who had a very hard time caring for him. She didn't clip his hair and it caused him to eventually lose his eyesight, which was sad. But he ha adopted to his world very well and he's a very happy senior puppy who really enjoys his whole environment and Fancy, another senior Cocker, who they rescued from a puppy mill just adores Rufus, they are adorable together. As for CBW the puppies have the best time there every time they go, they come home exhausted after playing with all of her friends all day. The counselors are so knowledgeable and very good with special needs. It's been a nice change for them to get her access to socialization and playtime. Absolutely love this place. My dog, Scout, goes 4 days per week here and they show him love and care every time he is there. The people there are so kind and considerate. The cameras are also so fun to have to watch my dog run around. The first day is a free trial day so check it out. Scout has stayed there for weekend trips and also gets groomed there. I know each dog is different when staying at camp (for day care and boarding), but Scout really loves going to camp each day. Thank you!! read more

I was nervous about taking my dog to daycare, but after my brother started taking his dog there it eased my mind. When you come the employees make a point to know each dog and will know his name without me telling them. When I asked about my brothers dog they knew exactly who it was without me saying more than his name. This shows they do take the time to get to know their dogs. I like that they have the cameras so you can have peace of mind if you want to check in or are nervous at first. I once emailed because I saw a dog cornering my dog and was concerned they emailed back within moments and addressed the issue, so great customer response time. I always check in and see the employees loving on the dogs and giving them hugs and pets! I also recommend the membership if you are going to take your dog regularly. With membership you do get a discount on other services. I, at first, wondered if this discount would be worth it, but I believe it is. We used to take our dog to PetsMart to get a nail grind which was $14. With the camp bow wow membership I believe the nail grind was around $10 so definitely worth it! Also my dog had become increasingly fearful of his nail grinds at PetsMart for some unknown reason. He would cry so loud and had to be held by 2-3 workers which was unlike him (he is a tiny pug). At camp bow wow he sat calmly as he used to and didn't mind. I attribute this to two things, one being that he is worn out from daycare and also he is comfortable with the staff and camp bow wow so I think he is less frightened. Me & my fiance do not have a lot of money to spare but we do set aside to do the 2 day a week membership because we feel it is one thing we can do special for our dog during the week with our increasing work schedules. Camp Bow Wow in Green Tree is excellent! We frequently bring our one-year old German Short-Haired Pointer there for day care and overnight visits. Unlike other doggy day care centers we've used, this one lets the dogs play and have fun. But, they know when to get involved. Our dog is so excited to go there and completely exhausted when we pick him up. It's great to watch him on the Camper Cam. I have it installed on my iPad. It would be nice, however, if there was an iPad app instead of only an iPhone app. The picture is kind of small. But, I can always find my crazy dog running around so fast that his ears are flapping. Thanks to the staff for being great partners in taking care of our dog! In response to Chad's bad experience, I will admit that our dog frequently needs a bath when he gets home. But, if he's not at day care then he's at the South Park dog park where he gets muddy. So, either way, we're frequently giving our dog a bath. read more

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. After $600 in medical bills and a severe case of kennel cough with a temperature of 104.6 degrees, our veterinarian advised us never to take our dog Bronson back to camp. I spoke with Melissa there this morning and the cases of kennel cough at this location went from "a couple" to at least 23 in less than a week. There was no notification sent out to inform anyone. In addition, she went on to say other daycares had cases of kennel cough. While I understand that it is easy to catch, it seems that they were well aware there was a potential problem, but because it wasn't considered an "outbreak" nothing is being done about it. Thoroughly disappointed and disgusted by the lack of action. Our puppy was close to death. read more

Leaving my dog over night is never easy. I feel so guilty that I am not there to say good night or good morning. It does make me feel better knowing that she is great hands a Camp Bow wow. I have left her over night a few times and she is always given the best treatment. She has started going for day camp just to give her a bit more exercise and some exposure to other dogs. I could type forever about the things we love about CBW! Lola (my 1 year old golden retriever) is so well treated there, and she's cared for like she was their own pup. Every time I pick her up the counselors have a funny story of something crazy she did, and let me know who all she played with or hung out with that day. They always take time out of their busy schedules to talk with me about her visit and answer any questions I have. I've never felt rushed or pushed out the door! I boarded Lola for the first time this past weekend, and I was a nervous wreck as it was the first time we'd spent a night apart since I brought her home (crazy dog mom, I know). They put my anxiety at ease so quickly, and explained to me exactly what she would be doing from time to time, encouraged me to check in on the cameras, described how she would be cared for, and even what to expect from her when we got home. The staff could careless about customer service, every time I ask a question it's like I'm asking a teenager to eat broccoli! I SPEND A LOT OF MONEY HERE AND IM GREETED LIKE IM BOTHERING THEM!! We have been taking our 7 month yellow lab Lucy here for a few weeks, and I couldn't be more impressed. She's gone for 'doggie day care' several times and just had her first over night stay. She gets so excited when we arrive, jumping out of the car, ready to go play. I love that I can watch her on the web cam throughout the day to check on her. The staff has been so kind and thoughtful. They actually do get to know the dogs and remember them. For Lucy's overnight, I added on a 'cuddle time' session and they sent an email update and pictures of her at bed time so I wasn't worried that she was unhappy. read more

My dog used to love and go to Camp Bow Wow, greentree location. However, he stopped because I refuse to give him an influenza shot, so he could no longer attend. He gets plenty of vaccinations. Not to mention the kennel cough vaccination is yearly per the veterinarian, and it is every 6months there. I'm not about to vaccinate over something I dont think is a priority. My dog misses it. But at least I am comfortable with saying my dog is not overly vaccinated. read more

We've been to at least 4 Camp Bow Wow locations, and have always had great experiences. This location is too busy to answer their phones during the day. If you want to make a reservation, you'll have to call 8+ times before you get someone. I had to speak to three different people over 3 days before I even got my reservation finalized. Thank goodness I kept checking in because we were coming from 3 states away. We sent our dogs with the exact amount of food they needed- but they came back with over half of it. I also had a problem with my dog contracting kennel cough at this facility. I understand that is a risk when you board dogs and that Camp Bow WOW does make sure all their dogs are vaccinated. However, it cost us $2400.00 to save our dog, because the KC turned into severe pneumonia. I am sure Camp Bow WOW has insurance and feel that they should have paid the bill or at least a portion of it. The manager did apologize and seemed concerned with how my dog was doing. But they definitely weren't going to do any more than that. So don't expect them to take responsibility if anything happens to your dog there. read more

I'm super hesitant to leave a review because I usually love Camp Bow Wow, but the last several experiences there make me anxious for The Dog Stop to open in Robinson. A month or so ago I took my dog in to board for a few days and I requested a nail grinding (not trimming) for when I picked her up. I coordinated the time for pickup so they knew when to have her nails taken care of. When I got there the person told me she wasn't aware of her nails but took her back to get them done with the groomer. Again, I stressed I wanted them ground and not clipped because I don't want to ruin my floors and my pup is prone to bleeding with clipping. The girl took her back and was back to me in less than 2 minutes (odd). I asked again because of the speed and the girl confirmed that they were ground. I get to the car and look again for myself...and they were very rough and sharp on the edges and she was bleeding all over my seat. I walked back in and once again asked but this time telling her that I know what grinding looks like and that she was bleeding. She girl pretty much shrugged her shoulders at me. I should have written this review then, but I was hesitant to do so because hey...these people watch my dog. I don't want any sort of retaliation or potential neglect/mistreatment/ etc. I also didn't want the run around when asking for a manager not knowing who I would potentially get. This morning (wrote this a few days ago) I dropped my dog off to board for a few days and was left standing in the lobby for 5-10 minutes with some pups there on their first day waiting in front of me (great first impression). The person that finally came back out was new and she seemed like it from the start. She went back and got a bordatella vaccine for one of the dogs in front of me (which was another 5 minutes of nobody at the desk) and brought it back up front for the customer to give the dog herself. Didn't show the vial...this person just took this girl's word for it what was being given to her dog. As a medical professional this appalled me. Still at this point I'm well over 10 minutes waiting for a simple drop off. I finally took my dog into the pick up bay to try to speed the process up a bit. The girl was able to find my reservation but I had to tell her several times the simple instructions as I was watching her write the wrong things down on the paper...which is a good thing because my dog would be hungry. Much worse, what if there were medications my dog needed and she wrote the doses down incorrectly? She goes to run my card and someone else comes out to help. She had a very difficult time figuring out the card reader and at this point I had to speak up. I needed to be at the airport and was now very pressed for time and I let them know. The 2nd girl told me she was running my card. Yup...I'm VERY much aware of that as I'm watching EVERYTHING that's going on. I was politely trying to drop a hint that the new girl needed a hand with the reader but it took another 30 seconds and frustration before this finally happened. Again...this whole time a potential new client is standing there watching all of this. This same new client who I told when I first walked in (~20 minutes prior) that she was coming to a good place and her dogs would love it. I got my card and rushed out after the 2nd girl finally ran it and the new girl took Zoey back. I'm growing increasingly frustrated with the faces of Camp Bow Wow. I've had amazing experiences at other locations, but my last few times here have left a ton to be desired. I know my dog might just be another dog to you, but that's my dog. My girl. My family. Just like in healthcare...I can't view my patients as just another patient, just another procedure...that's someone's mom, someone's son, someone's family. I saw a sign that was well within view of any customer behind the desk under the printer that said "we lose 10-20% of our customers every month" with ways to retain customers, communication tips, phone/email turnarounds, etc. That's a red flag right there on top of my last few experiences. So yeah, my dog seems to love you all and she comes back pooped out. However if I don't feel comfortable with how I'm treated walking in or being blatantly lied to about services my dog got then why would I trust you with my dog when I'm gone every week for a few days? I'm smarter than that and any customer of yours deserves to be treated with a lot more respect than I've gotten my last few trips in. I'd rather leave her with someone on Rover in their own home and pay much less. I at least have a better idea of what I'm getting there. read more

Took a year old dog in for the day camp, came home with bloody scratches all over his belly. Watched on the camera during the day and my dog was being dragged by the collar and shaken by another dog, even as he was on his belly and repeatedly attempted to run away from the other dog. The staff in the room ignored this - on multiple occasions I saw them see it happening. Called and complained - their response was to move the rough dog to another room. When I showed them the scratches on his belly they simply said "dogs play rough" - this I understand, but to the point that he has multiple scratches bleeding on his underside, indicating that he was being persistently bullied, is negligence on the staff's part. Never going back, and will spread the bad service at this camp bow wow location to everyone at the dog parks we frequent. read more

I love Camp Bow Wow Greentree and so does our pup. We say "lets to go Camp" at home and she grabs her leash and rushes out the door to the car. She "talks" (Siberian Husky) all the way to camp and never wants to leave. Since we come fairly often (at least one or twice a week), we know most of the staff and they know our pup. It is great knowing that they love her as much as we do - we see it when we walk in and they know us and our sweet dog by name. I've even had work meetings last much later than expected, and have had to call right before closing to get her in overnight. They are completely accommodating and help me out. Nothing bad to say... it is one of the best choices we've made for our Sky girl. Side note: We did have one instance where a dog came in for an interview and bit our dog. That dog was immediately removed and I was called and asked to come down. We did need to go to the vet and our pup had to wait for the nasty gash to heal before coming back. The staff was excellent and helpful and called to check in on us the next few days. Knowing that dogs are animals and this could happen, you can't be mad at the camp. They did everything right and we just felt bad that we couldn't bring our pup back for a few weeks because we really needed to make sure everything healed up. She was a mess in our house without her camp time and getting her energy out (2 Yr. old Sibe).... she was so happy the day that we took her back to day camp!! read more

What a wonderdul place!! Leaving our dog is the most stressful thing when going on vacation. This was out second time using Camp Bow Wow SW... These people are wonderful!! I called everyday and they were so kind ... Thank you to Des, Kim, and especially Katelyn, who stayed a half hour past closing on Saturday to wait for us as we rushed from the airport to pick up our boy!!! That's going above and beyond!! Daughter dropped of 4 MONTH OLD French Bulldog today for an assessment at 8AM. He was in the SMALL Camper Inside play area. Young woman, jeans, red shirt, ponytail. Watched as she continually moved to dogs out of her way. with her legs. This TINY puppy went into the mop closet when she went to retrieve the mop, she TOSSED him out, WATCH the video to see how far above the CONCRETE FLOOR he was as she TOSSED HIM out & closed the door. She stayed in closet,,,,maybe to be on her phone? who knows. She went to get the mop another time,,,,did not NOTICE the baby went in,,,& CLOSED HIM IN THERE,,,until she opened the door again to put the mop back. This little fella only weighs 10 pounds,,,he was humped at least 3 times by MUCH bigger dogs,,,(who decided what is SMALL????) while this girl stood with her water bottle hanging out of her back pocket. NO CORRECTIONS,,,,NOTHING She DID HOWEWER,,,,,,,manage to tie her boots,,multiple times,,on the bridge they have in there for the pups to play on. Put her feet up,,,laced her boots,,,all the while shoving the dogs who were standing there, back away from her boots. I cringed as I fully expected her to shove one of them backwards,,,,right off the top of that bridge. When my daughter went to pick the puppy up,,as multiple people were watching all this, we all knew what was going on & were sick to our stomachs. She informed the manager? what we all witnessed,,,that person indicated she did not think the employee did any of that because she is MEAN,,,she then announced she was leaving to take the DEPOSIT TO THE BANK (that's why I assume she is the manager.) No apology,,,,no shame,,take the money to the bank. This place just lost thousands of dollars in revenue,,with boarding & day care. Daughter has boarded 5 dogs at this location in the past,,,no longer,,,I tried to warn her,,,it has gone downhill drastically. Pay someone who really takes pride in caring for these dogs,,,do not trust this place. The woman who replaced this pony-tailed lady,,, well before lunch, was what you would expect, attentive, professional & interactive. The folder of information given to me by this location had another locations contact information. Asked for my dog to not be in cage when she stayed overnight during the day. Three workers verbalized no problem. Well it was a problem. Left a message, never received a call back. My dog was vaccinated against kennel cough in FEB. 2016 and via Bow wow in Sept. 2016. We'll she got kennel cough Oct. 2016. from this location. Posted the information, no contact clearly indicating ALL dogs are at risk there. Not to mention overwhelming urine smells after the weekend. We have been using Camp Bow the last few times and we will NOT be using them again. Back in July, we used them for a quick get away trip. We went to drop them off and without realizing we came 10 mins late (it was the weekend) the very RUDE staff would not make any exceptions. I understand that there is a policy but she was beyond rude. We made arrangements for our pups to be dropped off later in the day. After picking them up a few days later, they both had sever diarrhea. I called to make sure they were fed their food that I provided and I was assured that they were. After 2 weeks we were able to get both dogs back on track. Hoping it was a "fluke" I called in August to reserve spots for a vacation we would be taking in September. They requested half down. I asked them if I needed to cancel my vacation could they apply my deposit to another stay and they instructed me NO, that I would LOSE my money. This is absurd!!!!!!!!! I could not understand why their policy was this way? But, with having had our pups already board with them in the past I decided to give the deposit. The day that I went to drop them off, I asked the front desk in regards to the deposit/payment (there was a good possibility our trip would be canceled due to hurricane, and I did not want to pay the remaining balance, only to pick them up the next day) and she instructed me that it was NOT the case about the deposit, and that I would not loose my money? So I am not sure which is the truth and which is not?? Having had issues with dropping off on the weekend in the past, I made sure that I was there to pick them up during the designated weekend time. I arrived at 950 AM Sunday morning. I stood in the Lobby not greeted for at least 5-7 minutes. Finally the SAME RUDE WOMAN (who would not allow us to drop off our dogs in July) told me that there was no way I could pick up and that they were closed!! I kindly explained to here that I have been standing there for the last 5 minutes if not longer and it was only 957 AM--they were technically still open. She then proceeded to say "well there is no way I can check you out, our drawer is shut down". Only after I TOLD her that I ALREADY PAID for my dogs' stay, was she willing to even look at my who my dogs and begin to help....what a joke??? I just spent well over $700 and you are going to tell me I cannot pick up my dogs during the time you are open??? AND HAVE AND AWFUL/RUDE ATTITUDE???? This is the SAME WOMAN who was RUDE in July!!! Fast forward 2 days after being home, both of my pups have horrible diarrhea and my boxer has blood in his stool. NO WAY WILL MY DOGS EVER GO BACK TO THIS FACILITY. Perhaps the diarrhea is a fluke?? I am not quite sure? We have boarded them other places and only experienced it the last 2 times at Camp Bow Wow....BUT this staff member is out of CONTROL. Her behavior is out of line and is not acceptable. For the amount of money that I am spending there, I deserve to be treated nicely....I will gladly take my pups, business and money else where! read more

HUGE shout out and thank you Melissa, Courtney and the rest of the staff at the Greentree location. They were absolutely wonderful and patient in dealing with my highly anxious dog Jojo-they worked very closely with me in finding solutions to prevent jojo from escaping/jumping over the play yard fences. Although jojo will not be returning for safety reasons, I would still HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location. read more

I love the friendly girls who work at this location! They always seem to know my dog by name whenever we show up and they are very nice and helpful. I especially love the groomer- Jess. She does an AWESOME job with my dog, Tubby! She genuinely cares about his needs (sensitive skin) and takes pride in making sure he looks his best and accommodating whatever special requests I may have. I feel very comfortable leaving my dog here for daycare, boarding and grooming. read more
