That's Rufus :-)
Barrett O.

Our grand puppies Rufus and Fancy go here for grooming. We have dropped off Rufus on occasion when visiting and he always comes back looking very spiffy and handsome. This place is very cool!! I can't say enough good things about CBW. Rufus is a very special cocker spaniel, my daughter adopted him from an elderly woman who had a very hard time caring for him. She didn't clip his hair and it caused him to eventually lose his eyesight, which was sad. But he ha adopted to his world very well and he's a very happy senior puppy who really enjoys his whole environment and Fancy, another senior Cocker, who they rescued from a puppy mill just adores Rufus, they are adorable together. As for CBW the puppies have the best time there every time they go, they come home exhausted after playing with all of her friends all day. The counselors are so knowledgeable and very good with special needs. It's been a nice change for them to get her access to socialization and playtime. Bottom line: Our family highly recommend Camp Bow Wow Pittsburgh Southwest!

Absolutely love this place. My dog, Scout, goes 4 days per week here and they show him love and care every time he is there. The people there are so kind and considerate. The cameras are also so fun to have to watch my dog run around. The first day is a free trial day so check it out. Scout has stayed there for weekend trips and also gets groomed there. I know each dog is different when staying at camp (for day care and boarding), but Scout really loves going to camp each day. Thank you!!

My dog Darcy loves Camp Bow Wow. She is genuinely excited to be there every time we come and is completely warn out from playing all day for the car ride home. The staff is friendly and personable. I have only used the day camp, but would highly recommend them to anyone!

We have been taking our 7 month yellow lab Lucy here for a few weeks, and I couldn't be more impressed. She's gone for 'doggie day care' several times and just had her first over night stay. She gets so excited when we arrive, jumping out of the car, ready to go play. I love that I can watch her on the web cam throughout the day to check on her. The staff has been so kind and thoughtful. They actually do get to know the dogs and remember them. For Lucy's overnight, I added on a 'cuddle time' session and they sent an email update and pictures of her at bed time so I wasn't worried that she was unhappy.

I occasionally watch him on the room web cams, and there is ALWAYS a camp counselor in the room with the dogs.

I've had both my dogs boarded for vacations and have been very happen with the attention and care…read morethat the individuals who work there pay toward my animals and others from what i can see on cameras as well as the interactions i've heard when we drop off and pick up. The dogs are on camera for the most part when the staff are there and i sense no stress from either my french bulldog or weimaraner. i recommend paying for some of the extras , like individual play time and walks as well as the going home bath to get that kennel stink off. In the end there buisness is well run, clean, and the staff are kind. Really appreciate them and the hard work they do for our pets in this community. See yinz soon! :)

We called on day two to discuss some issues, mainly why our dogs were crated at 11a and why they were being fed in their locked crates with the water bowl out of their reach and no potty break after eating. We were told by Scarlett that our concerns would be noted but she "couldn't promise they would be taken seriously". I asked if a manager could call us back to discuss and that call came 24 hours after we picked our dogs up. I called multiple times during the 7 days and it went straight to VM with no return call. Our pug lost nearly 3 pounds while she was there. I wrote the GM a very lengthy email with no response after a week. Today I called the Dept of Agriculture (who oversees dog day care). I have attached photos of my dogs at various times of the day, locked in their crates. Additionally, I saw no human interaction with my dogs or any dogs in the play rooms any of the dozens of times I checked in via the cameras. I would like to know why my dogs were kept in locked crates for the majority of the day - I agreed they could be crated at night, because they are at home. I let them know that I would be picking them up at 10a - they were supposed to be bathed before we picked them up and they weren't. Their bedding was filthy and had been soiled. We weren't given a copy receipt and our card had to be run twice because they couldn't figure out how to add both dogs to one invoice.

My dog was attacked by another dog during her 4 days stay, sustaining bite marks on her eye and paw, then we we're lied to about the severity (they had to carry her to the car). I was in need of some dog food and my regular place was closed…read more I Googled the dog food company and found out that Dog Stop carried the food. I headed over there as they are close. I pulled up and there was a group of people hanging out outside which I did not give much thought. I walked in and the place was empty. There was no one to be seen at all. I saw the brand food but they keep it behind the counter where customers can not go????. I waited about 10 minutes and finally a man and a woman walked in from outside. The man stayed on my side of the counter and the woman heads behind. She walked right by me and went in to the back room. Totally ignored me and went into back. The woman came out about 10 minutes later. By that time I was fuming mad having to wait 20 minutes almost. Finally when the woman came back she came up and asked what. What????? how about hello how can I help you today. Super pore customer service. I said I was intrested in the signature dog food in a 14 pound bag. She only had a few bags left and they where the bigger size. She said she did not even have an order in yet??? I said thanks anyway and left. I would never go here again. Totally rude customer service. I would recommend getting your food somewhere else. Also there selection of food is very poor.

I called to schedule home service care for my two cats for a total of 3 days (July 10 to 12, 2021)…read more Christina and Jen came out to my home to meet the cats and so I could show them where the food, litter, and treats were located. At that time the assured me that they would come for the scheduled days and send me pictures or updates regarding my cats. When I left home on Friday I left out 2 bowls of water and 4 dishes of food. Every day that I was away I received pictures and/or updates about my cats via text message. When I arrived home Monday evening (July 12th), both bowls of water only had water covering the bottom and the food was only covering the bottom of ALL 4 food dishes. I have left my cats alone for 2 days in the past, with no one coming into the home to check on them, with the same set up of food and water(2 water bowls and 4 dishes of food). After 2 days of the cats being alone in the past, all of the bowls would still be about 80% full when I returned home. That was not the case when I returned after 4 days away with people supposedly caring for my pets. There is no way that they were filling their food and water daily, like I had contacted for them to do. I was very disappointed, but decided to just pay my bill and move on. I recently requested my keys back and they informed me they would be sent back via certified mail and there was a $20 charge to mail them per our contract. The same contract that stated the cats would be cared for daily. Their audacity in asking for $20 to get my keys back is what prompted me to leave this rating. I normally do not write reviews, but I wanted to warn others who care for their pets as much as I do, to BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE.
