Well, I would generally not leave this type of review, but given how upset my wife is and how bad they butchered my dog, I have to do it. This was our second grooming appointment, they cut our shih-poo wrong the first time (fairly minor issues compared to today), but thought we would give it another shot. This time, they flat out butchered our dog. Took his coat down to an inch from about 6 inches. See the pics for a before and after, absolutely ridiculous. My wife provided crystal clear instructions. We haven't used their training or doggy day care, so can't comment on those services, but I would stay away from grooming if you want something particular.

I have been boarding my fur child Jake here for about 2 years. My husband and I travel a lot and this my my go to place for long weekends. I personally love the cameras because I can check in from time to time. Jake is a rescue and has separation anxiety so the day care aspect where he is with other dogs and a room attendant is helpful in making his stay a little easier on him. I haven't had any issues and the front desk is super friendly!

Dropped off both our dogs today to be groomed today and we wanted to speak with the groomer regarding our puppy who was being groomed for the first time. The groomer was late so we never spoke with them and instead spoke to the manager and left specific instructions as to how we wanted him cut. His hair was 5-6 inches long and we wanted 1-2 removed - we were very specific about this and the manager said that she would be sure to tell the groomer what we wanted. We picked him up and was shackled to see that they had shaved our pup and took 4-5 inches off the dog which has left him looking like nothing we asked for. The manager was apologetic but didn't offer any assistance in fixing the problem. Such terrible customer service is unacceptable especially these days. Groomer was late and then ruined our puppies hair, with so many other options in the city and given what they charge I expected so much more

Our dog Tank!

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to all the staff at this location for taking such good care of our dog Tank!! We have used different facilities for Tank from private locations to "franchise" locations and this place is hands down by far the best!! Tank can be a fussy dog; he's a grazer and isn't neutered so he's not allowed play time when being boarded but the staff gives him extra attention and has one on one play time with him to insure he's not forgotten!! He gets so excited to go to "camp" as we call it! He actually eats his food when he is there for a few days ( we've had problems in the past with him not eating while at a facility for a stay) which makes us quite happy as it appears he's enjoying himself!! They are his family away from his family!! They trim his nails every time he leaves and the do such a fantastic job and it's cheaper than taking him to the vet! They pay attention to the instructions I leave which tbh isn't much!! The place is always so clean and although it does smell a little "doggie" in the wait area it's by no means a "pig farm" fast check in and fast check out and a super awesome app that has basically everything at your finger tips!! We love this place and have told others about how well they care for Tank while we are away and I literally do not have to worry about Tank while we are away!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking good care of your boy!!

Horrible... how do you have hours set and are always closing early or your groomer always leaving early so my dogs can't get groomed

The group at the Dog Stop Strip District are great. It seems like they know every dog as soon as they walk through the door. Great people.

There are several play areas which allow dogs to be separated as needed. All of the staff are attentive and understanding of the dogs' needs. They are able to be flexible with times and dates. One of my dogs came from a terrible situation, and is very anxious. They pay close attention to him, and have helped him gain more social skills with both humans and dogs. He wags his tail when he arrives now, and I used to have to coax him out of the car. My other dog is extremely high energy. He is always tired when he gets home! He has been boarded at this facility, and the staff were able to provide him with his required medications during his stay. Oral reports of the dogs' days are provided upon pick up. The staff always greet my dogs by name, and they know which leashes/other things belong to each dog at the end of the day. They are always friendly and welcoming. I have recommended this facility to several other people. I have recommended it to puppies, adult dogs, and other dogs with significant needs. Pictures of daycare are shares on their Facebook page. It is fun to see your dog having such a great time in such a great environment. I feel at ease leaving both of my dogs in the care of the Pampered Paw Resort, and will continue to use their facility.

I…read moresent my Doberman, Oakley, here for puppy training and daycare--about three times a week--and completely regret the decision. Not only did I waste a lot of money, but the experience was ultimately traumatic for both of us. In January, I was told that Oakley needed to be taken out of group play every hour and a half for a "time out" because she was "too much." Instead of getting the full day of daycare I was paying for, she was essentially being boarded for half the day. I gave it a shot, hoping they knew what they were doing, but within a week it was clear it wasn't working. I requested a refund and was denied. Trying to use up the rest of the daycare package I had already paid for, we continued--until February, when Oakley was attacked by another dog while playing with a different one. The story about what happened changed multiple times. Laurie and Tim, the owners, couldn't keep their lies straight. First, they blamed "the energy in the room," then shifted to blaming Oakley for being "too intense," and eventually, they banned my dog--the victim--from Camp Bow Wow. Let's be real, Laurie: Brittany is banned, not Oakley. Laurie even claimed she had reviewed the footage "second by second" and still couldn't tell what happened to Oakley. The very first time I watched the footage, it was immediately clear what happened--Oakley was targeted and attacked. Either Laurie didn't watch it, or she didn't want to admit the truth. To make me go away, they eventually refunded the remainder of my package and covered Oakley's medical expenses. I seriously considered filing a civil suit because of the dishonesty and lack of accountability--but unfortunately, dogs don't have legal rights the same way people do. The lack of transparency, the shifting narratives, and the outright fabrications from management make this place unsafe, unethical, and unworthy of your trust. If you value your dog's safety and your peace of mind, stay far away from Camp Bow Wow.
