Edited an hour ago New The staff there are incompetent. My 15 pound dog was with much larger dogs that were easily 4xs his size and weight. It seemed that they just had most of the dogs in the one "play area". I checked in to see what my dog was doing and noticed that a few bigger dogs were nipping at him and I could tell he was getting frustrated and kept trying to hide and run away. I saw other smaller dogs who were extremely uncomfortable as well. When I called and asked them what was going on the man I spoke to was incompetent and had no idea what was going. He could barely hold a conversation with me so I just decided to come get my dog. When I arrived and asked him why they are all in one play area he explained to me that it's about age and not size. It literally says in the website that they separate them by size. He told me "I said I was sorry". Also told me that the dog that was harassing my dog was a 5 month old poodle. If you have a small dog don't bring them to this location. I have gone to the centennial location which does keep them separate and have competent staff. I also reached out to talk to a manager and was told they are on vacation. Very unprofessional establishment that doesn't care about the safety of the animals. Update: It took two days for the "manager" Kristina to talk to me on the phone. Once I got her on the phone she told me that all the dogs are under 30 pounds in the room my pup was in when I said that I didn't believe for that to be true she got defensive and escalated the conversation. I will update this review as often as possible, because the folks at Camp Bow Wow Aurora genuinely love my dogs, Rue and Quincy. We didn't take our furbabies for more than a month, but as soon as we pulled up, two of the regular caregivers came to the car to say hello, and one took our dogs to the back so she could love on them, even though she was already off work. SHE WAS ALREADY OFF WORK!! I don't know many people who work off the clock. This is the type of care and love our 2 rambunctious dogs experience at this location. I had my dog come for a trial 3 hour stay to see how she would do. After a trip to the vet, 100$ later, my dog has kennel cough. I know it's common in those types of place but there had to be a sick dog there coughing or gagging. Please check the dogs. read more

I left a great review a year ago and with the last six months we will not be going back. My dog used to come home happy and tired which we loved. Now when she comes home she is always hurt. Today they said they can have 150 dogs in the facility at a time and that they maxed out their availability today! That's 50 dogs per area with only one attendant watching. No wonder my dog is constantly hurt. Not only that, they never seem to know how or when she got hurt even though she is whimpering leaving their facility... they didn't notice a whimpering dog in the play area and think to themselves "that's weird". This is not the first time either, we have had many vet bills because of their neglect but we brought her back anyway cause we assumed it was a one-off and we remembered how good they were in the beginning. BEWARE. I am disappointed to write this review- ~2 years ago my pup loved coming here and it was a convenient way to provide her with some fun and stimulation while I was busy. Fast forward to our experiences in the past six months. First, her tail was injured upon picking her up. Staff were completely unaware and play dumb. On one of her next visits her dewclaw was split. We didn't realize this until I noticed her paw was soaked in dried blood. She MUST have bled all over the daycare, but again no info. Finally today, we dropped her off for a day of boarding. She's been cooped up with the snow so we thought it'd be nice for her to play with other dogs. Upon picking her up, she is completely lethargic and has a badly injured tail. The staff were completely unaware, having the nerve to ask "if it was like that when she came in." 3/3 times our pup has been injured. The staff are careless and either don't notice dogs getting hurt, or lie and cover it up when returning the dog to the owner. The truth is this business has gone downhill and is a risk to dog owners in Aurora. As I sit next to my poor pup whimpering next to me on the couch, I promise I will NEVER be back. read more

I'm shocked that this facility received any great reviews. I was raised by a veterinarian and dog trainer, and am also a former dog trainer myself. I say this because i get that dogs will be dogs. So my gentle pup started his 1st day today, and within a few hrs I received a call that he got a "scratch" in his nose in play. Well, 1st red flag was every time I looked at the cameras(which was often) he wasn't playing. More nervous, and to himself since it was, well his 1st day! A bit more time went by, and he wasn't any happier, so I decided to go pick him up. I walked in and received a welcome packet, with no notes about his day...and then my pup. Now I've seen and cleaned a lot of scratches in my life, and the second I saw his face I knew he was bit. I told the receptionist that it was not a scratch, and she went and got the manager. She looks at it, SHOCKED and said she had no idea!! I went to ask her how they wouldn't see a dog get bit (were they watching). I showed her the 2 punctures,  and THEN she proceeded to tell me that "your dog got in blablablas face and he gave a reactive bite". 1st off, they say they don't take any aggressive dogs, 2nd, the management lied to me on they phone saying it was a play scratch,  KNOWING my dog was fuckin bit, 3rd she tried to make it my dogs fault, when all he was doing was greeting another dog and 4th, he was keeping to himself the whole time! I think I would have been more understanding if she wouldn't have lied to me. But how are we supposed to trust them on a weekly basis and while gone out of town, when they can't be honest? Once we got outside, he peed and pooped as fast as he could, because he held it the whole time. I personally noticed those thing about a new pup or any pup that would come into group with me. Judt so frustrating.. In the end i can only blame myself that I didn't do better research, but I'm definitely writing this review so no other parents or pups have to deal with this behavior. read more

I have been bringing both of my dogs to this camp Bow Wow location for five years now. My Morkie is 5 And has been going to the small dog room for his whole life. My bullmastiff pup Herk Has been going once a week for at least two months since he passed his interview. I am shocked by the reviews about dog fight and injuries. We have never had that experience. This place is amazing. The staff is excellent and they learn your dogs name and they truly love being around them all day. We chose to put Gabe into daycare to help with his confidence with people as well as other dogs. He is a rescue and we think that before he went to the rescue we got him from he was abused. I told them that from the start and they took extra caution with him his first day and he warmed up to everyone right away. He gets excited now to go and doesn't even need a leash to get out of the car because he knows right we're to go and get let in. He has so much fun playing with the other dogs that when he gets in the car he is pooped. Be aware: This facility allows dog aggressive dogs, into their play groups! My dog was seriously injured by another dog while under their care. My dog's back leg was literally ripped open down his layers of skin and to his muscle. By a reactive dog, that turned out was previously known, to be overly dominate. To the point that the dog has cause injury to other dogs while under their watch. My dog received staples, not stitches because of the internal injury and a drain was placed into the wound. So that it did not abcess. As the puncture went deeper into his muscle tissue. This happened at daycare so of course the management are not liable. (You sign a waiver when bringing your pup to the facility.) Which honestly, their contract means nothing because Aurora Animal Control, and Aurora's dog attack Laws nullifies it. So $300 just came out of my pocket of course, which I had no problem with. My dog's health is more important than money, and I'm not going to pay upwards of $1,000 in small claims court. My problem was the fact that management tried to brush this incident under the rug. They didn't even care to ask if my dog was alright after his immediate visit to the vet. Also they were to allow the dog who attacked my dog back into the building! They never even contacted the dogs owner until corporate had to step in. They made no incident report either, which is mandatory by their corporate office. (When I spoke to the district manager, she was getting more upset as she found out that they broke several of corporates policies. Including allowing dogs who injure employees back into the building. They also do not follow the correct number of dogs that can be in a play yard. Which is only 15 dogs to every one counselor.) If my dog was just minorly hurt from just playing too hard, I would not have cared. Even though I know my boy can be dominant, hump once in a while. HE has NEVER played hard enough. To EVER cause any injury to another dog, person, even children and cats. He didn't even hurt the other dog! As he was being held and then another employee rushed in. On camera, literally had to rip the other one off of mine to let my dog go! Absolutely disgusting and ridiculous that they held my dog by his collar as he was being attacked by another dog. The manager literally just simply told me they held my dog because he was the bigger one. It doesn't matter the size of my dog, if he was a Chihuahua or a Great Dane. You do not hold down the dog that's being attacked. Especially if he is not fighting back!!! I watched my boy on their camera recording, crying out as this other dog was biting at his stomach and his legs. Thrashing his head around once he grabbed ahold of my dog's leg. The other dog was clearly trying to fight my boy. To which even my veterinarian wrote a note about the fact that this injury would be considered as a dog attack. read more

This is what happens when you allow your dog to go to be at camp bow wow Aurora. I expected a fun and safe environment for my dog. I picked up my dog from camp bow wow and I noticed fresh blood on my hand from petting him. He got a severe infection and the manager Amber said the owner would pay have my vet cost. Not only did they not find the dog who bite my dog the owner did nothing. To all dog lovers this is not the place for your pups. After a week the owner offered me 3 days of free daycare. Very disappointed in the Camp Bow Wow Aurora. I will NEVER leave my dogs under their care again. Along with what is listed below, I have reached out SEVERAL times to communicate with them about what happened, and they NEVER got back to me. Terrible management and absolutely no concern or sympathy from them. DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOGS HERE. My husband and I boarded our three dogs at Camp Bow Wow Aurora's facility October 21-24th. We picked up all three dogs on the 24th at 3pm and the minute we brought them home 2 of our 3 dogs were already coughing and sneezing. We assumed they had gotten a cold/kennel cough from being there and were keeping a close eye on them. We of course understand this can happen when boarding dogs. However, when I picked them up on the 4th and asked how they did (as we received NO communication or update on them while they were there) and all the front desk attendant said was that he wasn't there when they were there and he believes there were "fine". Come Tuesday morning the 25th our one dog was throwing up and pooping blood as well as very lethargic and sick. We took her to the emergency vet Tuesday morning, and she was confirmed to have a bacterial infection. We were able to bring her home on medication with a $500 vet bill. Come Tuesday night, out other dog had a severe cough, mucus throwing up, lethargic with no energy and eyes rolling back. Again, we immediately took him the emergency vet and after 4 hours, he was diagnosed with Pneumonia. He is currently in the emergency vet hospital in isolation for 3 days minimum. This will be a $5000-7000 dollar vet bill. Had we known he was showing symptoms while under THIER care, he may not have had progressed to this stage. The vet confirmed that all three dogs would have been displaying symptoms while under Camp Bow Wow Auroras care, but we never received any information or "report card" of their stay and how they did. Had we known this was happening, we would have picked them up sooner or taken them to vet sooner to avoid them getting worse and to get them checked out. We are very upset that no communication was made to us on their status during the stay and the fact that they were not isolated when they started displaying symptoms under their care. We do not feel they held up their end of the deal of watching our dogs and ensuring their safety. We understand it is likely for dogs to get sick while in a boarding situation, however, we should have known immediately if they were getting sick while in THEIR care. Again, we never received any communication back after reaching FOUR times. Do not risk boarding your dog here. It is NOT WORTH IT. read more

At first this place is amazing the prices are great, their staff is very friends I can't complaint about their customer services and the fact that you can watch your dog on live web cam is awesome However I left Leo for boarding over the weekend for 3 nights and the second day after watching him on the live cam I noticed he was not acting as his usual happy self he was just sitting down not playing at all, I thought he was just missing home ... Picked him up and they tell me that his leash was bitten off my another dog who in their own words "is known to bite of leashes", no biggie because they replaced It with a new one .. I dropped him off at home and went to work... my husband gave him a bath and then calls me because he notices scratches on him and he said Leo was acting strange like if he was sick ... I'm thinking he was roughed up by the dog or something .. He isn't confrontational at all so I'm sure he was probably bullied The reason I'm giving this place 3/5 stars is ... 1) if they know they have a dog who has a problem with bitting off leashes why don't they keep a close eye on him/her. 2) dogs will be dogs but if you leave your dog in a day care is for him/her to be taken care of I don't like the fact that my dog has scratches on his body that could have potentially been avoided if the staff is keeping an eye on our pets 3) Leo has been to 2 other day care and never has he acted this way after picking him up , his behavior was really strange Their clean facility and nice staff makes me want to give them another try but I will be discussing this with them before I leave my dog there again read more

I'm going to be honest, Jeff and I spoil our pooch Bandit to death. He had a hard start in life so now we want to make sure he knows he's loved and taken care of. Because of the hours we both work, Tuesdays are a long day alone for Bandit so we wanted to find somewhere for him to play when those days happen. We contacted Camp Bow Wow for an appointment. I'll be honest, I was a little nervous because of some of the reviews we read but I really liked the idea of the cameras. I'm so happy we gave them a shot. We went to the facility for Bandits interview. They took him back to meet the other dogs and asked us to wait just in case it didn't work out. There is a big TV in the lobby so you can watch the initial interaction. Bandit passed the first test so we left him for 3 hours to see how he did once he was comfortable. We picked up a very happy and tired puppy. Bandits next visit was no different. He spent four hours running and playing with other dogs. Not long after that we boarded him four days while on a trip to the mountains. They took such good care of him! CBW is great! They hire happy, competent folks who love dogs and know how to calm down nervous owners. They have cameras in the indoor and outdoor play areas that you can check anytime (well until bed time). When boarding your pooch they encourage you to bring their bed, blanket, a couple toys and their food so the dogs feel comfortable. Bandit can be a bit nervous so they even encouraged a t-shirt that smelled like home. They took good notes on when Bandit ate, how much, if and when they would be allowed to add something into their food (if your pup isn't eating) and if they can have treats. We even had them give him a bath and they did it as close to pick up time as possible. I am incredibly happy and impressed with their service and feel completely comfortable leaving Bandit with them. Just keep in mind, those cameras can get addicting! read more

I was offered zero information on what was happening with my dog, someone came out from the back got my dog and we were told to watch on a camera in the lobby. I wanted him to have a fun day so I did leave him for a couple hours. After watching on their camera's I went to pick him up. He was in an indoor room the entire time with way to many dogs, I could tell from what I was seeing on the camera's that he was scared. There was a staff member in the room just standing there, no interaction with the pups no playing.. nothing, I requested a bath and nail trimming which when I picked him up was not done. The place was smelly and I felt very uncomfortable there. Would not recommend. read more

We dropped our dogs off on Friday afternoon and picked them up on Sunday evening where the employee told us our dogs had a great weekend. Within 20 minutes of being home, our 10 year old lab started drooling and shaking. We rushed him to the emergency room and discovered our dog had vomit in his lungs, respiratory pneumonia. Camp Bow Wow admitted then that our dog vomited once (hard to believe he got vomit in his lungs from vomiting once), but said they threw away all records of his weekend moments after I left. I asked them to pull them from the garbage since I'd just left 30 minutes prior and they responded that the garage had already been taken to the dumpster. We spent so much energy on our sick dog that we didn't even notice the terrible wound on our puppies side. We trusted our dogs were safe, but instead they were neglected and abused. We feel terrible that we put them in a situation that caused suffering, not to mention the two emergency room vet bills that we are responsible for. read more

We have a dog sitter that usually takes care of himm when we travel. She got sick last minute and we tried Camp Bow wow for 4 nights this past February. When I called to check on Him they were giving him wet food. Not the food we left and not giving him the pills we had left. Also when we picked him up he was dirty and smelled . The next day we stopped in and brought the paperwork which see scanned but said they had no paper and I'd need to do everything online. I did everything online and waited to hear back NADA ZIP Nothing .. no one got back to us. I then called and spoke with a man who said they wouldn't except new dogs cause they didn't have enough staff and to call back in a week to schedule an appt. I called back scheduled a appt, he confirmed all our info etc. I showed up and they couldn't find the appt or paperwork. Very disappointed, why would I pay top dollar rate for daycare and the staff is inept and uninformed. I need to start by saying that my dog has been to at least 5 Camp Bow Wows in Colorado. We moved and this was the closest to us so we tried if for a few months. I know dogs will be dogs but after the second visit to the emergency vet and more than $1,700 in bills we will never be back! I have been told that the owner doesn't even live in this country yet they claim to be locally owned and operated. Their outdoor space for the dogs to play is small and pointless because they are in a strip mall. read more

On Saturday 8/14/21 THREE dogs (that we know of) got out from Camp Bow Wow and were running in very heavy traffic on Abilene near Miss. A Good Samaritan was able to help one dog, contact the owner and return it to Paw Wow's staff. According to Camp Bow Wow, second dog was also found and returned. A third dog, small black and tan dog was still missing. Not exactly sure how at least 3 dogs got out from Camp Bow Wow to run on a very busy street in the middle of the day on a Saturday with temps in mid to high 90's. read more

I've been bringing my dog here for about 4 months and have been very happy with the service we've received and think it is at a very good value. We looked at a few different dog boarders when we were originally searching for a day care/boarder, and this was easily the cleanest best service, and most professional. I'm particularly impressed with the staff. We primarily use day care, and the staff all seem to recognize my dog and me when we come in. When I pick him up they give him treats and tell me all about how his day was. They have web cams that allow you to check in on our pet at any time, which is really reassuring, and you can even see how kind the staff is during the day. We tried boarding over Christmas and my dog got sick (he has separation anxiety so it was entirely my dog not getting along with the Situation, nothing camp bow wow did) and I was very pleased with how the staff handled the situation. They called often, gave me updates, and were very accommodating to help him. I look forward to continuing to bring my pet here. read more

She needs a little special attention because she's not that great with other dogs and they were able to feel her needs in an amazing way! We left our two dogs with Camp Bow Wow Aurora on a Saturday and for the week of Christmas. During the first visit, we asked them to bathe the shih Tzu and to clip her nails. When we picked her up, she smelled like maybe they had washed her down, but they certainly did not bathe her, and furthermore, her nails were never clipped. They told us their groomer was gone, so these reviews about the wonderful groomers at CBW are irrelevant. After the week of Christmas, we picked up our dogs and were charged over $400 for seven days. During that time, we observed the attendants on the webcam consistently paying little or no attention to any of the dogs, including ours. They just walked around the room and in and out. The other dogs were allowed to pee all over our dogs, so that when we picked them up, they were stinking and filthy, certainly not my idea of professional doggie day care. They smelled like they had been in the dog pound. For the exorbitant prices they charge, you get very little for your money. I had to bathe and groom both of my dogs after picking them up before I could bring them into my house. They make a big show about how much they adore your animals. I would have preferred more personalized and professional attention and care for the dogs and less of their talk. Also, when we picked them up, we asked for the remainder of the new bag of food we left for them, and they claimed our dogs had eaten it all. This was downright dishonest. I know what my two 10- and 20-lb. dogs consume daily, and there is no way they could have eaten the contents of that bag. In the future, we will either take the dogs with us as we normally do on road trips, or if we have to fly, we will leave them with friends we know we can trust to dog-sit while we are gone. I will never leave any pet with these people ever again. I would recommend using neighborhood pet sitters who can provide your pet with a better experience than Camp Bow Wow. read more

We have been using the Aurora CBW for more than 2 years and have had very good luck with them. Our Newf loves going there. He gets very excited when we get about 2 blocks away in the car. Big fan of this place! We travel for work and occasionally need a place to drop our pup off for overnight care. Camp is great! Theresa is SO good with our dog. She helped our rescued pit mix (who can be scared of new places) feel right at home. He still shakes a little when he walks in, but as soon as she calls him back, his tail wags and he walks back willingly! I also love the cameras in the playrooms. This makes us feel a little bit better and more connected when we have to leave our fur baby overnight. Plus, he loves the food! They also offer baths, nail trimming and other services. For $40/night, we feel more at ease that these dogs are in a safe place and will be treated well. As long as your pup is well-behaved, he/she will do fine in the camp. Just make sure your pup's vaccines are up-to-date (including canine flu virus)! read more

The staff is very pleasant and quick and I know my babies are in a clean safe environment to play. I pass up another place on my way here because it's just that much better.
