When he had to take antibiotics, they also gave him probiotics to help with his tummy. When he was licking all the time-I thought maybe he had pain, they suggested heartburn medication, which worked. Wish I knew to try heartburn medication before. We used to go to Parkhill, and unfortunately, their service is terrible now, and my old girl was not treated well. I wish I knew of Altos then, she would have had a much better last year.

I was taking my dogs to LDP for 20+ years and spent thousands on overnight care as I travel a lot for business. In October 2025 one of my dogs was injured while at daycare and the way the injury was handled was unacceptable. During a meeting with the new owners, they explained "they were not trained for such things". They did the right thing and paid the $1000 vet bill for my dog which was incurred when I returned and found his wound to be severe and close to infection. I am told since this incident there is a policy & procedure manual created for the employees and owners and training has been done to avoid an incident like this in the future. Please ask to see this document as the same employees are still working there.

We bought their largest day care package a couple of years back only to be told after a few visits that one of our dogs was no longer going to be allowed since he was too rough with the other dogs. Completely understandable. Since we have two dogs requiring the day care and only one was allowed, we did not see a point in keeping one dog in day care so we asked for a refund for the day care. We were told it was not allowed so they gave us "credit" that we were told we could use for any service including boarding. When we went to board our dogs this last time, they told us all of the credits expired after a year and we were unable to use any remaining credit. At no point were we told that the credit would expire. We would have used them a lot sooner if we would have known but since it was more of an "credit refund" we assumed there was no expiration date. Essentially, we lost out on hundreds of dollars and paid for services that were never rendered. Their policies and lack of customer service are why I do not recommend this place. Additionally, the "sorry, too bad," shrugged shoulders type of response from the manager left a very sour taste in our mouths. She did offer us $70 bucks off our $700 boarding total, but after losing the several hundreds of dollars on the day care that was never used, it was very off putting.

Our vet recommended Juliet and The Loyal Hound when our younger female Australian Shepherd began…read moreshowing some concerning behaviors, including deep growling at the vet, fence running, and resource guarding. We wanted to address the behavior early rather than let it become more established, so within about six weeks of it starting, we enrolled her in a board-and-train program. We ultimately decided to put both of our Aussies through separate programs: both females, one five years old and the other about a year and a half. The difference has been night and day. Both dogs now have reliable recall, walk calmly on leash, and for the first time, we feel genuinely confident having them off leash. They no longer react to wildlife or other dogs on hikes, the fence running and excessive barking have stopped, and they can calmly sit with us at outdoor cafes and other dog-friendly public spaces. The "place" command has been especially valuable. They can settle calmly for extended periods, which has been a true game changer both at home and when we're out with them. Most importantly, both dogs seem more confident because they understand what is expected of them. My husband and I are also much more consistent and aligned in how we communicate with them and provide the structure they need to be successful. We've enjoyed continuing to work with them every day and building on the foundation Juliet provided. The overall atmosphere in our home is noticeably calmer, more harmonious, and far less frustrating for both us and the dogs. Juliet has also continued to follow up and check in to make sure the dogs are doing well, which is something you don't always see once a training program is finished. It's a tangible sign that she genuinely cares about the dogs' long-term success, and it has reinforced for us that this was absolutely the right investment for our family.

Two of them are my problem children: a Rottweiler mix foster fail who is reactive to bikes and other dogs and occasionally nervous around people like visiting contractors or UPS men, and the other is a 100+ lb Brazilian mastiff rescue from Aruba who is not fond of other dogs. The two of them began showing increasingly worse dog aggression toward other dogs on the trail and while camping, and had attacked several dogs by the time I found Loyal Hound/Juliet. I was at my wit's end, because I had already spent thousands of dollars and tried everything including other trainers at that point with little to no progress. I felt stuck with 2 big problems for the next 6-8 years. I hike at least 3 miles every single day off leash on the trails by my house, and I love to camp with my dogs in the summer, but they became such a liability that walks became stressful and camping became impossible. I finally found Juliet with Loyal Hound, and for our very first session we met at a crowded park and were going to be doing off leash training right away. I was so nervous -- all the triggers were present: other people with dogs on leashes, dogs off leashes, people on bikes, squirrels -- so I was absolutely AMAZED when we were walking my Rottweiler off leash through a gaggle of geese, past people on bikes, and past other dogs within a few minutes with no problems. It was nothing short of a miracle. Within a few sessions, I had both of my dog aggressive dogs walking on and off leash next to me, passing other dogs (sometimes dogs that were even barking at them) on trails safely with no reactivity. I cannot explain in words how much of a difference this has made in my life -- I feel like I got my life back. If you have a dog aggressive dog, this is the place to go.
