Zoey on her Interview Day!
Supriya S.

My husband and I have been so incredibly impressed with Camp Bow Wow Alpharetta! Our little pup absolutely loves this place. It's like she can smell where she is as soon as we get to the parking lot; she jumps out of the car and goes straight for the door! There are closer kennels to us, but we are more than willing to drive the 7+ miles for the wonderful service and friendly smiles they provide! The staff is so friendly and it's very evident that they all enjoy working with all the furbabies there! We have done half-day daycare, full-day daycare, overnight boarding, multiple-night boarding, nail-trimming and baths there. Not once have we been disappointed with the service! I am also very thankful to them for making room for our puppy last weekend and this weekend for one-night boarding during a very busy spring break time. We unexpectedly have needed boarding for our little girl 2 weekends in a row... 2 of the busiest weekends they have, yet they were able to accommodate us and called us back to confirm they had room. We greatly recommend this "Camp" for your little "Campers"!

Maddy comes back healthy and happy from her visits. She loves to play all day and her counselors seem to love all the campers.

She can also have an extra half pill every 8-12 hrs if anxious during the day. Cover well with the turkey and give. If she is still anxious, call her vet to increase dose. When I picked her up on Sept 9, I was told that she wouldn't be allowed to come back to the kennel as she "wasn't a good fit". She was extremely anxious to the point that she was shaking and had to be hand fed. Unfortunately, when I arrived back home and counted the trazadone, I saw that no extra doses had been given, just the bedtime dose. The pill bottle itself even said give extra if needed. My instructions also said "If she is still anxious, call her vet". When I called Countryside, I was told "We never call vets". The problem is, I wasn't called either and my dog was allowed to be extremely anxious when she could have been medicated. I would like to know why my dog was allowed to be so scared when Countryside had extra medication to give her and failed to let the vet or me know that she needed an increased dose. Countryside suggested I get a home caretaker. My dog won't let anyone in her house. She's be very abused prior to our rescue. I've been working with a trainer to help. I sent an email asking for review by a manager or above, but got not repose from Countryside.

My bf has been taking his dog here for both day care and boarding for several months and the last…read moretime we traveled, we decided to board both his dog and mine at Pet Lodge. I had previously taken my dog to Wagalot, closer to where I live, and they require a "trial" of daycare before you are allowed to board them. Pet Lodge didn't require that which was convenient for me but also made me a bit apprehensive about the dog population. Both dogs stayed here from Thursday evening through Monday midday and it all seemed to go great. Everything we dropped off for them was returned to us and the employees were all very nice. We had them stay in a junior suite which is $45 for the first dog and $35 for the second. My bf booked his dog for additional play sessions but since mine is lazy I decided not to. They seemed well cared for when we picked them up. The only reason for four stars instead of five is because of the lack of technology. They have an online booking system which is convenient, but it's not super user friendly and I ended up still having to email them my dogs vaccination records although I had already uploaded them. Also, there are no cameras here. A lot of boarding/daycare businesses offer that as an option which gives pet owners peace of mind. It would have been nice to have that option but definitely not a deal breaker. We will definitely continue to board and daycare the doggos here in the future.

It hurts my heart to say that although this place looks like it is a great place to leave your love…read moreone. It's not!!! The staff who care for your furry family member should take extremely care of your animal and observe abnormal behavior in your animal from the time they arrive. I boarded my dog here twice. Each time my husband dropped her off. The first time my husband picked her up and when she got home she was coughing, vomiting and had diarrhea. I had to take her to the emergency room. The second time, I went with him to pick her up and when we got her home she had diarrhea and couple days later she started vomiting and her stool look like it had blood in it so again we had to take her to the emergency room only this time she did not make it. My baby passed away. I call the facility and spoke with a staff member to ask about any charge in her behavior and was told that she was extremely scared and was shaking. This is a behavior change. Someone should have contacted me to say that she was not happy there and was scared for her life or shaking. I understand it take money to run a facility. Yet! The first thing the staff members should realize is that these animals are our family and if something is not right with them call the owners and let us know. If only ONE staff member would have called me, I could have gotten her out of there by having transported to the hospital and my little Bella will still be here. Please think twice before you leave your love one at this boarding facility. The staff members need more training and need to know that these animals are not just dogs, they are our family. I'm crying as I am writing this review because all it took was a phone call and my baby will still be here.

Upon sitting in the office we are explained we were misquoted and there was a vaccine she did not quote. As this changed the price significantly we asked for the original price to be honored. Ms. Shawn was rude and condescending, at no point she acknowledged her mistake but rather made up excuses and tried to make it sound like it was our fault because "there is no way she would know what the dog needed". When I repeated we said it over the phone several times she smiled and said "then I didn't hear you". She proceeded to offer to discount the vaccine but then the first time visit discount would be removed which would in fact increase the bill, another condescending response that did nothing but increase discomfort. We had asked for the quote because the vaccines were needed in a timely manner so had no option but to proceed. Dr. Johnson was very sweet and professional. But this clinic will never see my dog again. Making mistakes is human but bullying your patients to avoid owing to them is very low.

After her stay, she came home visibly distressed and became increasingly lethargic. I rushed her to an emergency vet, where she required immediate care. I've followed up multiple times, professionally and respectfully, but I've received no response and no payment. While accidents can happen, how a business handles them afterward says everything. This was our 6th time using daycare for our Australian Shepherd, Zeus, and what we experienced was beyond unacceptable. We trusted this place. We expected outdoor play, clean and sanitary conditions, real supervision, and staff who genuinely care about dogs. Instead, we walked into neglect. From the moment we arrived, the staff was rude, dismissive, and clearly annoyed by basic questions. When we dropped Zeus off and asked for a tour, we were bluntly told no manager was available and no tour could be given. No explanation. No reassurance. Just attitude. When we came back for pickup and asked again, we were told to wait so staff could "check on some things." That alone should have told us something was very wrong. What we saw after that made us angry, sick to our stomachs, and heartbroken. Multiple dogs were locked in kennels with no staff supervising at all. We personally witnessed kennel staff and groomers being unattentive, rude, and disengaged, including employees standing around or sitting on their phones instead of watching the dogs. Kennels were covered in dried urine and feces, and dogs were left sitting in it--no cleaning, no breaks, no compassion. Then we saw Zeus -- locked in a crate in the corner, shaking, crying, and terrified. Seeing our dog like that broke us. It was devastating. He looked scared, confused, and completely abandoned. Watching him tremble and cry in that crate made us feel sick, angry, and deeply depressed. No dog deserves to be treated that way--especially not in a place that claims to provide care. This was not a bad day. This was systemic neglect. We left furious, heartbroken, and ashamed that we trusted this place. We cancelled everything immediately and will never return. This was not daycare. This was dogs being warehoused, ignored, and emotionally broken. They call it It's a Dog Life -- but what we witnessed was cruelty, neglect, and suffering.
