We LOVE Jenny and all the rest of the Camp4dogs crew. We have been clients for close to 20 years. Our pets have always been taken care of with such kindness and love. They are always happy to see them (both the pets and the staff ). Can't recommend them enough

It is very difficult for us to trust anyone with our baby but two different people referred us to Camp 4 Dogs and I am so happy we listened to them! The team is so friendly and accommodating. I can tell they really love the pups! Arnie had the best day and he can't wait to come back to camp!

We boarded our 3 dogs for just over a week and will definitely be using Camp 4 Dogs again! They were great about communicating prior to our dogs stay and provided us with updates during our travels. Our fur babies were well cared for and we felt extremely comfortable about the staff and facilities. Also loved the extra cute touch, a little take home goodie bag and a photo collage of their stay they gave us at pick up. Thank you for taking such good care of our babies and we will see you again when we are ready for our next trip!

We toured their house prior to Grayson's stay and it's well kept, clean, with great big yards both front and back. Grayson came home more obedient, learned how to dress before going outside and "get naked" after going outside, load in and out of the car, ring a bell to let us know when to go potty, "touch," sit, down, and the biggest thing for us is he's more comfortable in the car and listening to music (he used to bark at music like crazy). He doesn't pull on his leash as much and walks are more comfortable and less stressful. Grayson even got socialized with other dogs and cats! He does not bark as much anymore, which has been great for my nervous system Grayson got a bath before he came home and came home with a wonderful goodie bag. They used primarily positive reinforcement training with Grayson with some other tools. It was very effective. Working with Shannon and Sierra, you can tell they really care about their furry clients and take a lot of pride in their work. We will definitely be using them for future boarding for our furbaby. Highly recommend!!

Sophia handled Kodi for the 2 weeks he was there and did a fantastic job training him! Sophia kept me updated on Kodi's progress every few days sending me pictures and short videos, and always took the time to explain everything to me, as well as teach me how to best handle him when returning Kodi back to me. I live in the valley (Los Angeles) and took the 2 hour drive because of a referral so highly recommended Cosmo K9 and I'm glad I did! 5 STARS! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I want to start this review from the very beginning, because the entire experience deserves…read morerecognition! I first found Cosmo K9 while searching Yelp for board-and-train programs. I gave Chris a call, and to my surprise, he not only answered right away but spent almost an hour on the phone with my partner and me. He patiently explained everything about their programs, walked us through the pros and cons of each, and never once tried to upsell us. Instead, he helped us choose the program that would truly fit our needs and goals. That honesty meant a lot. Chris also shared his Instagram, where I could actually see him working with a dog so similar to our own German Shorthaired Pointers. It instantly gave me confidence in his experience with this very high-energy working breed -- aka the original Velcro puppies! By the end of that first call, we felt sure Cosmo K9 was the right fit for us. From there, Chris assigned us to a trainer local to us in Oceanside, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Michelle. She has been absolutely fantastic! Once we handled all the logistics, Michelle became our main point of contact and immediately went above and beyond to communicate with us. Dropping off our puppies was very emotional and difficult, but Michelle eased that transition. She regularly sent photos and gave detailed report cards full of updates about how they were doing, what they were learning, and where each of them was excelling. That level of care and attention meant the world to us. After the two weeks of training, pick-up day was just as thoughtful. Michelle gave us an in-depth 1:1 session (which we were able to record for future reference) to ensure we felt confident continuing the training at home. We also have the reassurance of follow-up support whenever we need it -- another amazing benefit! The difference in our puppies is night and day. They went from being wild, unruly, and out of control to well-behaved, responsive, and much calmer. Of course, they're still puppies -- but now they listen, take direction, and have a solid foundation to grow on. I can't wait to continue using the tools, commands, and confidence we were given to keep building on their progress. Thank you so much to Chris and Michelle -- we truly couldn't have gotten to this point without you. Cosmo K9 has been such a gift for our family, and I would 100% recommend them to anyone considering board and train.

Performance K9 Training

I honestly don't know how to fully express my gratitude to David and his team at Performance K9…read more My dog, Pooka, is a German Shepherd who is almost nine years old. He has always been high-strung and reactive, and he was aggressive toward both strangers and other dogs. Every daily walk was spent in fear and constant tension, and I had almost given up hope that he could ever change. By chance, I was talking with ChatGPT about my dog, and it recommended Performance K9 Training and Boarding School as something worth trying. To my surprise, Pooka passed David's interview and was accepted into the program. After just three weeks of training, Pooka is a completely different dog -- a calm, obedient good boy. I no longer have to be on edge every time I take him out. To make sure the change was real, I stood with him outside a busy grocery store. With people coming and going all around him, Pooka showed no fear or agitation, and he did nothing to embarrass me. He was as calm as if he were at home. I could hardly believe it. David truly lives up to his reputation as a world-championship-winning trainer -- he understands dogs and genuinely loves them. I'm also very grateful to Sabrina, Julia, and Christina, who are warm, responsive, and attentive, and who make clients feel welcome and at ease. Once again, thank you to David and the entire Performance K9 team. I highly recommend them to anyone reading this review. If your dog has problems like Pooka's, go to Performance K9 -- it is worth every penny. Hui and Lucy

We are so happy that we started our training with Nikki, who is kind and patient, while also pushing us to be a competitive team while running. That means that we're not only taking home ribbons, but also bonding and having a blast on the course. Dash LOVED attending Nikki's classes; he was always so excited to run, and the courses Nikki put together were always fun and exciting while also being accessible to dogs of all skill levels. We loved training with Nikki, and if she was still in our area, we would 100% still be training with her. Because of her guidance and support, I'm a better handler and Dash is a happier dog, and we're both having a ton of fun together. Don't hesitate, try out these classes. Guarantee it will be a memorable experience.

I cannot recommend Nikki enough when it comes to dog training. Before I started training with…read moreNikki, I was seriously considering rehoming (giving back to the original rescue) my dog as I felt ill-equipped and completely lost with his behaviors. I genuinely believe that if it wasn't for Nikki, my dog would likely not be alive right now as he probably would have been marked for behavioral euthanasia. Nikki saved my mental health and saved my dog Waldo. I hold immense gratitude for all of the help she has provided us. Nikki exemplifies what it means to be an expert in the field: her methods are evidence-based & she is always staying up-to-date with the most relevant information available. I found Nikki when researching private agility lessons for my reactive dog. While I never had any intentions of performing, I knew that my high-energy dog, Waldo, would benefit greatly from learning new experiences and confidence building. The first time Waldo and I met Nikki, I knew I wanted to work with her. She wasn't phased by his loud barking or lunging. Nikki immediately started guiding me on ways I can change my posture & breathing as well as informing me what Waldo's body language was telling her. After just one session, we discovered his reactive behaviors were actually fear-based (not solely aggression-based as other trainers had led me to believe). Then came the hard part: the (unintentional) reinforcement of these behaviors that I had caused due to my own ignorance. Nikki was realistic about progress and the time it would take. She won't lie or cut corners to tell you what you want to hear. It was her honesty and humility that had me sold. I only saw Nikki once a week with Waldo, but after working with her for almost 2 years we saw SO much progress. Waldo is much more confident in high-stress situations. I have a full tool kit of tricks I can use inside as well as outside the house. The training never stops when you leave the session! Nikki taught me so much about reactivity & threshold. That training has to happen when they are below threshold!! She doesn't assign morality to dogs. I remember saying "Waldo is a bad dog and I don't know what to do with him" and she gently corrected me by saying "Waldo is not a bad dog, he is A DOG and he is scared. What we have to do is show him that he doesn't have to be scared and that takes time & trust." We were able to slowly work our way up to having Nikki approach Waldo without a fearful response. And eventually even had Waldo take treats from her hand and respond to her giving him commands. AND THEN, we were able to have Waldo in the same space as Nikki's dog Charm. Charm was so unbothered by Waldo's barking it was honestly a comedic relief. Charm lives up to her name. She is a beautiful, smart and oh-so sweet dog. Just having neutral // positive interactions around another dog was vital to Waldo's success and confidence building. Also, knowing that Nikki trusted me and Waldo to be able to interact with Charm after we spent so much time in 1:1 training helped MY confidence as well. I learned sooo much from Nikki, I could probably write a book just singing her praises. While I was devastated when I found out she was moving, knowing that she is going to continue educating dog owners and offering these valuable training lessons helped lessen the tears. Everyone in my life that knows Waldo has seen long-lasting, impactful changes in his behavior. And all of the praise goes to Nikki and her techniques! Come to Nikki with an open-mind and a willingness to learn. She very well could change your life for the better, the way that she did mine (and Waldo's!).
