Pictures don't make justice on how good this restaurant is. The best authentic Argentinian food I have ever tried. Service was 10/10 and the food was 10/10 as well. Up in the Weston area my wife and I had a hankering for some protein. We found Caminito on Yelp and gave it a try. Tucked into a small strip mall off of Weston Road is where we found this little gem of culinary delight. Reading other reviews, we jumped into the baked empanadas. OMG. I am not kidding; the absolute best empanadas I've ever had. Encased in a thin crispy shell were combinations of minced meat, olives, and spices. We were very tempted to just order half a dozen and have that be our meal. Pared with a nice Malbec, we ordered the parrillada for two. Generous amounts of vacío, short ribs, and picanha were grilled to our requested medium temperature. We opted out of the chicken and focused on meat, chorizo and morcilla. The meats were delicious and we had to ask for a to-go container since we filled up with the empanadas and steak. I ordered the flan with a side of dulce de leche buttons. Excellent consistency and flavor especially with scooping a tiny bit of dulce de leche with every bite. I highly recommend this restaurant for a full meal or if you just want to munch on the best empanadas you will ever try. read more

The salad was nothing to boost about and wine by glass was overpriced. Lamb chops were just decent and bread prior to dinner could be improved by using cheese bread. The Fresh Baked Beef Empanada ($3.95) was delicious and paired well with their pesto sauce as dip. The Beef Short Rib ($27.96) was tender and juicy. Served with my choice for white rice and side of sautéed vegetables. Perfect mirror dish to Korean BBQ Kalbi. More flavour with their pesto sauce. I'm going to add pesto sauce at home as another condiment to BBQ meats. The service was excellent and very friendly checking back couple times during meal. Passion Fruit Mousse ($8.95) for dessert was okay while the Americano coffee ($4.50) was on the weak side. Nice looking decor with framed pictures lining the walls and smart table settings for upscale appeal. There's two flat screen TVs on the upper front wall of the restaurant. When I was there, one was a dash cam view driving presumably through Argentina city streets and the other was a San Miguel soccer broadcast. It can be deceiving being seen as the lone dinner through the window after 7 PM, but the place began to fill as the evening wore on. Don't be fooled by appearance or those lesser reviews. The service is okey, ex we asked few questions to the server and did not know any answer, she needs to ask the manager; we ordered a steak sandwich, the meat was well done passed, almost black, could not bite on the sandwich, my husband ordered a medium well burger and it was burned as well. Went here for a work dinner and we had a fantastic experience. Appetizers consisted of Beef empanada which was fantastic! Provoleta Completa was tasty. To the owners and managers of Caminito...shame on you! You focused so much on filling your restaurant up for the Tango Show you significantly sacrificed on service, food quality, and overall experience. I made a reservation 2 weeks ago saying we were going to celebrate my mom's birthday. I paid $15 per person extra to get to see the show. Once we arrived, we were placed in the back corner up against a wall and crowded in by other tables. You could definitely tell you were short-staffed and your servers were very overwhelmed by the overcrowded restaurant. Our waitress was a nice young girl and I actually felt bad for her and the situation. Our food took over an hour and a half to be served. Seeing everyone else around us get their food, I asked what happened. I was told something about the kitchen waiting to give us our food after the show. What the??? How does that make any sense??? We were then offered empanadas in the meantime. I accepted the offer but, unfortunately, they never came. Once our food was finally ready, I had to reach over 2 tables to grab our plates from the waitress because even she could not access our table. Can you say fire hazard??? What if we had to make an emergency exit? Or even get to the bathroom for that matter? As for the food quality, it was inconsistent. We ordered rice and were given french fries. My daughter and I ordered the same skirt steak. Mine was cold and tough. Hers was good. We were never offered water or ever checked on. I noticed other guests complaining as well but at least they had gotten their food earlier. As far as the show, the entertainer was funny and charming. However, he only faced one side of the room and it was hard to hear him. It would have been better if he had a microphone. Not sure how they danced in such a tight area with the waitresses trying to get to their tables. The air quality was awful. We do not think any of the vents were working at all. Our eyes were itching and burning from the smokey environment. We were so not enjoying this special night at all, that we left before dessert and in the middle of the tango show. I really wanted to order a treat and acknowledge my mom's birthday. But we could not wait to leave. Do Better Caminito! Less people and focus on your customers. read more

So infuriating, i gave a shot due to the rating here and don't understand how it has not been called out. This is my first review ever since im the type of person that wont just go back to a place i dislike, but i want to prevent this happens to someone else, be fooled by good rating. The salmon looks weird and not fresh, the entraña was like a outsole, and the Mash Potatoes!!! For the love of God, how can a mashed potatoes be a failure! Was so excited to try this restaurant because of the good reviews. Here is how my experience went. Ordered a fried ham and cheese empanada and it was fantastic. Ordered Entrana cooked medium with smashed potatoes. This is where things went wrong. The meat was cooked rare and the first bite of the smashed potatoes was cold. Our table and one other table were the only people in the restaurant. How is the food not coming out hot and cooked to order? Too expensive for this kind of experience.
