It's almost like they were betting on me to not know how to do it myself. When I did do it myself I saved a ridiculous amount of dollars compared to the quote. I get a higher price for a more difficult change that requires more labor but this was an easy and accessible change. It unfortunately slightly reinforces my fear that auto shops sometimes take advantage of car repair ignorant and less capable individuals.
