The thing that impressed me most with Cameron was the communication. I was in touch with a very nice woman named Debbie who works for them as an estimator. She was patient responsive to all my questions and always called back as she said she would. She also didn't recommend a service I didn't need. There was an issue with the actual job which was my fault (not the company's) and we reached a resolution. The two men who showed up for the job were on time and professional, I was especially impressed with their ability to back a large truck into a parking space with one turn! They were so complete, they placed and taped heavy plastic over our floors and stairs so as not to have their equipment disturb our home. I would like to give this company better than a 1-star rating because their technicians are exceptional. However, the sales experience both when they originally did the work in 2019 and in my attempt to hire them again this month to shore up some additional problem was horrible, completely due to the salesperson! The salesperson, Debbie, did my original estimate in 2019. When the installation crew came out the lead guy, Harley, immediately identified several things that hadn't been accounted for in the estimate. He's an experienced professional and the gap between his knowledge and what Debbie put in the order was significant. So, I called her to add the charges for the additional items so that the team could do it during that visit. But she got all the details confused, sent me a second separate work order then told me I didn't sign the right thing, etc. It was as if she'd just walked off the street and had no idea what she was doing, and the entire customer experience was a chaotic and unprofessional. When I called the company back this month to talk about the other issues, I wanted an estimate to address, I got the owner or manager. He figured out that there were two work orders, confirmed the date, etc. and said he'd give it to Debbie again. I asked if it could go to someone else without mentioning how bad the first experience was, but he insisted that she should be able to handle it just fine. She took 2 days to call me back and immediately started telling me to DIY the fixes! I told her that I wanted a professional to look at the issue and provide the solution. I was OK with her charging me to have the team come out and adjust from there. She kept insisting it was DIY! Judging from how incomplete her original estimate was, I not only didn't trust her judgment but I'm a customer willing to pay them to address the issue. Then she says "OK, let me see... we were out there in 2015", I go "no, you were here in 2019", She's like "no we weren't. I see it right here we were there in 2015"(???!!!). so, she's now arguing with me about when they came out and was too lazy and sloppy to even have the details of my job after taking two days to get back to me! I finally just asked if I could speak to the owner/manager. She tells me in a huff to call the office and hangs up. I call the office and the receptionists tells me they were expecting my call, put me through to the voicemail of the manager/owner who had been so professional over the phone 2 days prior. I explained the situation with Debbie and how frustrating it was. That was a week ago and they've ghosted me! This experience was so horrible and their failure to stand behind their work from even a customer service perspective led me to write this review because it's not right! I'm guessing Debbie is a relative of the owner or something because if my experience with her is that bad, I can't imagine what it's like with other customers. Cameron Home Insulations did an awesome job! They went above and beyond. We had a crawl space insulated with the foam spray they did an amazing job and cleaned up very well, they left no mess behind at all! It has made such a big difference in keeping our home warmer. The staff is very friendly especially Adam Schanzer he explained everything in detail and contacted me right away when I had any questions. The price was very reasonable. We looked at the other companies and they were either too high or they never got back to us. We didn't have a problem with this company at all. I used Cameron to insulate/Soundproof basement ceiling. The estimate was given by Debbie. She was very good and very professional. The price seemed good. The installers did a pretty good job. They finished and yelled up the stairway " We are done sir." I understood this as an invitation to check the job. It was not. They departed and were out in the truck. I saw a gap on the edge that they missed. I had to go buy some insulation and do myself. Also, a follow-up phone call from a manager would of been nice to check on quality control. All I received was an email for the bill. read more

They insulated my two upper attics and lower basement. There was one part of the job that was quoted and the installer figured out that it wasn't needed and explained to me why it wasn't necessary. This review covers two separate instances with this company so I'd like to be fair although the latest has really soured my impression of this company. My first time using this company was well-executed and reasonably priced. So, I recommended this company to a friend who needed similar work and since she was going to be out of the country, I could manage the work given my prior experience with them. My friend reaches out to the office while still in town to try to schedule a walkthrough. They ask her to call back (in this case, have me call back) next week. No problem. The next two weeks are holiday weeks so trying to nail down an appt is touch and go - still not an issue. I finally get passed out to the guy who did my first job and this is where things went left. I recount the background ("you did my prior work, I'd like to have you do work at my friends house...") to get him up to speed with what had already been conveyed to the office. He proceeds to give me a time for the next day when he can come. I inform him that the place is tenant occupied so I'll have to confirm the time. I hang up, call the tenant and then call him back within 5 minutes to let him know that the time he proposed won't work but give him some options that could work. He tells me he'll call me back - he calls the next day and we agree on a time. So far, so good (I thought). He calls the day of the appointment to confirm the address and that someone will be there at the appt time. I text him to confirm the same with the tenant. He then proceeds to ask ME why he doesn't have a "leed sheet" with all of the necessary info for the appointment....ummm - I would think his office would've given him that based on earlier calls but as he requested, I provide what he needs in that moment, including all of the homeowners info who was out of the country as I told him before. Having dealt with them on one job before, I'm a bit confused but push forward. The appointment time passes and I think nothing of it because the tenant is there to allow him to do the walkthrough but no....At 33 minutes past the appointment time, he sends me a very nasty text message indicating that the homeowner (again, who's out of the country) did not show up and was not picking up her phone or responding to texts. He stated that the appointment was a total waste of his "precious" time and that he wasn't coming back. WHAT!? Why would you call the homeowner when I told you that the place was tenant occupied and that the owner was out of the country!? I proceed to call him to explain that he must have misunderstood because his actions and the text simply made no sense. Rather than listening (and apologizing for his obvious lack of comprehension), he proceeds to unload on me about how this makes him look like a bad guy , that his basic efforts to schedule an appt with me were a hassle for him and that people shouldn't even have property managers because it just makes things harder for him. Oh, and that he doesn't care if I find someone else to do the work. To tie it all together, he states that the fence made it impossible to get to the front door (it's a push open, no lock, below waist level fence) and yet he was also certain that no one was home because there was no car in the driveway. Turns out, after confirming that the tenant was in fact home waiting for him and checking the front door camera, he never even attempted to knock on the door for the appointment! He called/texted the out-of-town homeowner (not me despite texting with me up until that point) and after seeing no car in the driveway, he sent the text message to me and left. Despite my first good attempt with this guy, his behavior was not only void of common sense but very aggressive and unprofessional. I will not be recommending him to others for this reason. read more

WOW. Just WOW. This company is just unbelievable. I seldom write reviews but now want to tell the world they need to have their homes evaluated with respect to the need for updated insulation. I got multiple estimates but was so confused as each salesman told me something different. But, only one person, Adam Schanzer, thoroughly walked the entire attic (small sloped area included) and took photos to show me what was actually going on. He also came on the day of the job to make sure all was done well and took new photos to show what had been accomplished. I was very concerned about the disruption to the house but everything was done in such a clean manner, putting up plastic, etc. to keep everything minimally involved. We have allergy issues and worried about that but there was no need given the highly professional work. read more

My husband and I bought a cape cod style home that had the original fiberglass insulation from 1954 in the attic. We knew immediately that we would need to insulation to avoid from frying upstairs in the summer. We selected AC&R off of a highly recommended website profile. AC&R came in to remove the existing insulation, on a day when it must have been 200 degree's behind our upstairs walls and in our attic. The two gentleman who came in were professional and worked diligently for 5 hours straight, removing the existing insulation and vacuuming the remaining fiberglass particles that were left behind. The following day a separate group came in to blow in the new foam insulation. They did a spectacular job and sealed every inch of our upstairs attic and behind the walls. Our sales consultant, Debbie was extremely knowledgeable and was able to intelligently answer all of our questions and concerns. My only con was that there were some dirty finger/hand prints around the walls that if I would have asked them to clean if I saw the finished product while they were still there, but having survived the hot hot hot day they were working on, this is a very minor issue. I couldn't be happier with AC&R. I live in an older house and the attic space isn't the easiest to access. AC&R came out gave me an estimate, put me on the calendar and arrived on time. Once the tech got all the way up into the attic space he saw that the job was going to be easier than they thought and the estimate was adjusted to reflect some out of pocket expenses I incurred thinking we would have to enter the attic from the exterior. I have never been more disappointed in a company in my 57 years as I am in AC&R Insulation Co. Inc. We ( my husband and I) had a Home Audit done on October 8th, 2015, we were looking forward to the results and to find out what we qualified for through BG&E rebates for attic insulation. The Home Audit took close to 8 hours, this was a very intense audit......or so I thought! We were told to sign all the paper work for BG&E but not to date it just incase it took a day or two longer than the 30 days allowed by BG&E, okay I signed without a date. I wrote my check out and signed it so at least I had proof that the audit was done. I didn't hear back from AC&R within the 30 days so I was patience and gave them 6 1/2 weeks before calling them on November 23, 2015 to see what the problem was. I was told not to worry that "she"would look into our Audit and have someone contact me that very same day...........it's now been over two months......we still have not heard anything.....not one phone call, e-mail or letter....NOTHING!
