Phenomenal Experience -- We'll Be Back!…read more My sister and I booked the last two available spots for a completely spur-of-the-moment horseback ride with @texastrailrides at @lonestarranchtexas, and wow... it was absolutely phenomenal. What a perfect way to start our first adventure of the year, especially in the Year of the Horse This year, we've decided to create moments instead of buying things, and this experience was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and welcoming. The instructions were clear and simple, making the ride comfortable even if you haven't been on a horse in a while. Our instructor, Annabelle, was AMAZING -- knowledgeable, calm, kind, and truly attentive the entire time. I had the honor of riding Poncho, a strong, steady, and beautiful horse. There was something incredibly grounding about simply walking the trails, crossing through water, and fully trusting him to guide us safely -- and he absolutely did. That connection, that peace, that trust... unforgettable. We enjoyed this experience so much that we already know we'll be back in March, and we plan to end this year the same way we started it -- on horseback, making memories together. If you're looking for horseback riding in Texas, I highly recommend this trail ride. It's peaceful, empowering, well-guided, and truly soul-filling. Thank you @texastrailrides, @lonestarranchtexas, Annabelle, and Poncho -- we can't wait to ride again

Really a bad experience with this stables with a judgmental owner. I went a met with the owner…read moreand the stables looked good. The "talk" sounded good too. We agreed I would take lessons and from there get help finding and buying a horse that i would board there. The owner said the instructor would call. After not getting a call in a few days and contacting them again i was assured they would talk to the trainer and that I should expect a call. In the end i followed up 3 times for the call that never came. Finally, after a few weeks i went back to the stables and spoke with the owner directly. I asked if maybe my tattoos had caused them to take a dislike to me. He looked me straight in the eyes and assured me that they were not putting me off and that the instructor would definitely call me. Well, it's been 2 months now and of course, no call. I can't say it was the tattoos but i do know that i was only there for 5 minutes initially and that i didn't do anything to offend or give reason for him to dislike me. In fact, our conversation was pleasant and positive. I can only assume that judgment was passed based on a physical assessment and that I didn't meet their standards. Sounds pretty arrogant to me even though the owner implied it was the English riders that were arrogant. Bottom line, I would not wast my time. Obviously this is the kind of place that unfairly passes judgement and that sounds pretty darned unfriendly to me!

Bruce and Susan are amazing and have become family friends to me over the years. They love my horse like I do and look after him tenderly. He's happy and relaxed, he's healthy and bright eyed because he knows he's loved and taken care of. I'd recommend our barn to anyone. Plus the trails are amazing and the company even better. I'll never move him if I can help it :)

It was uncomfortable because he was extremely excessive with irrelevant information to what we to know. He wouldn't stop talking. He walked the 10 minute trail ride then try to cut out 15 minutes early. My saddle was extremely loose, nearly all the way to the side. The horse would not listen would not be guided kept wanting to return or only follow him. It looks like they've rented a time slot for the "lot" next to the BMX place. There were holes everywhere and loose dropped gravel, and rocks. Looks like a preconstruction site. We were not able to have any good quality time. We both left frustrated and disappointed. I was charged an extra $30 for 24 hour booking. Cost about $150 for less than 30 minutes of ride time. This place is not worth it. I was very confused considering that the reviews sound good. We are respectful people we show up on time did everything we were asked to do. Think twice about this place I hate to leave bad reviews but it was that bad if you have a kid and you wanna spend time and want to take him to learn something. This is not the place to do it.
