Believe all the negative reviews on FB, Google, and other media. -- I needed a new fuel pump and this was the closest place to have it towed. They replaced the part along with other parts that "were broken" without calling ahead of time to ok with me first. When I picked up the truck it ran fine but smelled like raw gas, which I thought just needed to be aired out since it was a fuel type repair. The next day the fumes were so bad I couldn't even let the kids ride in the truck. I inspected the lines underneath and then checked under the hood. BINGO! There was gas spewing out of the schrader valve and it was all over my coils. Thank God that no gas got into the spark wells or the engine would have caught fire. I went to tell them about it and was accused of "having an attitude" because by golly they just can't be wrong. Instead of an apology or owning up to THEIR MISTAKE I was cussed at, yelled at, and basically told I was stupid. I was then asked to leave. I said not without the cap, they damaged the valve too but I didn't get that far with them. Apparently they are going to mail it to me (yeah right). It's not that hard to replace the cap after you take it off! A $4 part could have been the end of my vehicle or injured my family!

Service manager said they never heard of this problem before and said I should get it towed in and they would work on it. I explained it was in my barn and with it not coming out of Park that could make for another whole problem. He agreed, so I asked if they had anyone that could come and look at it, after a very short pause he said he'd have someone out in mid-afternoon. At 2pm a mechanic called and said he was on the way. !0 minutes later he showed up. 5 minutes later my truck was running. I was never so relieved in my life in a very long time. While He (Mechanic) was showing me what he found that was causing the trouble the Service Manager call. The Mechanic told him what he found and did. The Mechanic then put Us on speaker and Service Manager informed there was No Charge, I figured there would be a good service charge. (I CAN NOT THANK THESE TWO PEOPLE ENOUGH) Max Motors Service Department has my total business from NOW ON. Again THANK YOU to Max Motors Service Department. This past weekend, my husband and I drove from St. Charles county to Warsaw, MO as we had camping…read morereservations at Truman Lake. We have never been to this area and we're looking forward to a relaxing weekend. After about a 3 1/2 hour drive, we got off the highway and filled up with gas before heading to the State Park. As we left the gas station, I stated that it sounds like there are rocks in the tires. The comment I received back was "I did not pack any rocks " then he realizes that the power steering is going out and unable to stop without putting all his weight on the brakes. We went through two stop signs and came to a stop in the local police station parking lot. Two blocks up from us was Mike's Automotive so my husband walked to the shop to see if we could get any help. It is 3pm on a Friday afternoon and the temperature in the mid 90's. Within 10 minutes here comes my husband riding in a truck with the Owner/Mechanic from the shop. Gary was his name and he tells my husband to drive his truck back to the shop and he would drive the camper Who is the cape crusader! At the shop, hot as hell outside, Gary pulls the broken serpentine belt out of the engine. At this point I am thinking we are staying in Warsaw over the weekend and into the next week. My husband gets in the camper and says Gary ordered the part and should be there soon and will get us back on the road shortly. What the heck!!! Are you serious!!! So this guy dropped everything he was doing to help us out??? You could see he was busy and cars in his shop that he was working on. Now it is 4pm and Gary has the new belt on the engine. He then says, so does $80 sound fair? Who is this guy???? Yes fair to us but not to you! We gladly paid the $80 and left a tip that I hope showed our appreciation. Before we left, a gentleman that was there at the shop gave us home grown vegetables that were amazing. We got into our camper and looked at each other trying to understand what just happened. We actually both had tears in our eyes. We had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the wonderful vegetables! Thank you Gary for your time, professionalism and being a great human being!

I have been getting my oil changed here since I was 16 years old, but I've been very disappointed…read moreby the service lately. I came in inquiring about an oil leak and was told there wasn't one. I had to have two oil changes in a month and told them my oil kept reading "low oil." Two weeks later, my starter on my car went out because oil was spraying and leaking all over my starter and engine and had been for a while. The mechanic said I'd had the oil leak for several months and there was oil everywhere. $800 later, I have a new starter and battery but still have to pay for the original issue...the oil leak...that QuickLube didn't find. I won't be back, and I'm not ever one to leave bad reviews, but I'm very disappointed.

The owner has a shitty attitude. Does shitty work. I had a minor (1,300) accident back in February…read more2022. I asked online who the best body shop. This place was recommended. I went to visit my sister. And I heard the black liner under the tire rubbing terribly. I had no service or tools. So I continued my journey. 2 month or less I hit a big raccoon that caused 1,700$ worth of damage. Car was still drivable. Truthfully I didn't realize there was damage. I chose another body shop. Weavers. Cliff calls me and said I was told to call you. Well the only person I can imagine that would have told him. Was state farm. I told him politely I took my car to weavers. He hung up on me. I got tickled really. Fast forward to today. I called and asked where he bought this smaller battery than I ever had in my car. Well it's leaking. Corrosion is terrible. My car engine light came on and I was at my mechanic when I saw this corrosion. So I left cliff a message to call me to find out where this battery came from. It's clearly defective. This asshole had the balls to tell me my mechanic should be able to tell. I asked if he would recommend a mechanic. He had the nerve to say I was hard to work with. I hung up on him at this point. He's impossible to work with. I'm not the one who put the front bumper on and the black liner to protect the tire. HIS SHOP DID THIS. AND HE REFUSED TO TELL ME WHERE THE BATTERY CAME FROM. SERIOUSLY. IF YOU EXSPECT YOUR CAR TO BE IN THE SAME CONDITION AS PRIOR TO YOUR ACCIDENT. DONT USE THIS ASSHOLE. He needs to put his butt hurt feeling aside. And guarantee his work. And to not disclose where he got the battery from is simply childish. I'm sorry his work is shotty at best. And I decided to use another body shop. So now I'm letting state farm deal with me and him. I hope he is no longer a preferred shop according to state farm when I'm done with him.
