My Truck was dead, I couldn't do anything with it. Called Max Motors Service in Clinton. I told…read morethem what was going on with it and everything it was and wasn't doing. Service manager said they never heard of this problem before and said I should get it towed in and they would work on it. I explained it was in my barn and with it not coming out of Park that could make for another whole problem. He agreed, so I asked if they had anyone that could come and look at it, after a very short pause he said he'd have someone out in mid-afternoon. At 2pm a mechanic called and said he was on the way. !0 minutes later he showed up. 5 minutes later my truck was running. I was never so relieved in my life in a very long time. While He (Mechanic) was showing me what he found that was causing the trouble the Service Manager call. The Mechanic told him what he found and did. The Mechanic then put Us on speaker and Service Manager informed there was No Charge, I figured there would be a good service charge. While traveling back home to SC our transmission started acting up in Clinton, MO. We googled available mechanics close by and his shop came up. We were a stranger in a town we knew nothing about. They ripped me off for what has now cost over $700.00 total and still counting for the damage they…read morecaused to my vehicle. It was taken in for a leaky transmission and bad speed sensor. They replaced the pan gasket and filter, and 7 quarts of fluid and charged me $400.00. The transmission was still hard shifting and slipping. They told me it was bad and the only hope for it was a bottle of additive. He later told me the car was doing much better since they put the additive in it. It wasn't. the next day after having it serviced, the transmission pump was sucking air as though it was low on fluid again. I figured it was still leaking so I added 3/4 of a quart. The pump started working again, however, the engine seemed to be overheating possibly due to the extra fluid. I had the car towed back to them a second time requesting that they check the fluid again to see what was going on. They did nothing. I drove the car home in the same condition. I wound up taking it to Valley transmission in Warsaw. I told him the whole story of what transpired. The minute i said bad speed sensor, he immediately told me that was causing the hard shifting and slipping. Took him approximately 15 minutes to fix it. he checked the fluid and just as I thought, it was over filled. Now I have the problem of the additive in the fluid. It makes the fluid thicker and the transmission is designed to work on thinner fluid. If it is not completely flushed out and completely refilled with 12.9 total quarts of fluid, it will eventually start hard shifting and slipping, just as it did with the bad speed sensor. This will cost another $250 to $300. Totl refuses to give even a partial refund. I will be seeing them in court. I strongly advise you not to use this company. They are nothing but a bunch of untrained idiots who are in the business of ripping people off!!!!!!!

This guy guarantees his work for 6 months or 6000 miles. I have never in my life had a mechanic guarantee his work.
