Stopped here for lunch this week with my wife. She ordered the cheeseburger deluxe and I ordered a patty melt. My Patti melt was definitely a five star sandwich... It was delicious and I enjoyed it very much. My wife wasn't as enthusiastic about her cheeseburger deluxe. We both very much liked the fries which were coated with some kind of special coding that made them crunchy and tasty. I had a diet Pepsi and my wife had a unsweetened iced tea. The service was quick and very efficient. Overall, the dining area of the restaurant is spacious, clean neat. There is also outdoor dining undercover on picnic tables and round raised pedestal tables and chairs. No indoor restrooms. Restrooms are out in the back more or less where you'd find one on a 1950s - 60s gas station. The men's restroom was pretty old and tired, but clean. I would go back anytime for another patty melt and I was also intrigued that they offer a crab cake special on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Would not recommend the cheeseburger. The bill was $39.80, including tax and gratuity. read more

A pleasant surprise! While living in York and Adam's County for most of our lives we never stopped at the Cameo Drive-In until friends raved about the quality of their food. When we entered the restaurant section we were greeted warmly and our server went over their weekend features. Our friends raved about the crab cakes which we definitely wanted to try, but the Filet Oscar was our choice. WOW....it was amazing... the filet was prepared perfectly and crab was one of the best we ever had. Bottom line....don't drive by thinking they only serve ice cream.....can't wait for our next visit! read more

After seeing their Facebook posts? I had to come here!! To had a Pattie melt, my mom had a turkey melt. Wow! Old fashioned French fries. The basket was filled. Unfortunately there wasn't room for dessert lol. The place is super clean and the staff is friendly. Located deep in Apple country. Worth the drive. read more

We usually just stop here for ice cream which is delicious and large portions. But today we decided to try lunch and we were not disappointed! Great prices and the waitresses were friendly, helpful and you could tell they enjoyed being there. Mom had a ham slice with fries and coleslaw and I had the made in house. Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and slaw. WOW! We each have 1/2 of our meal left! And have an apple dumpling for later if we're hungry! Definitely recommend eating here! read more

Cute little drive-in / diner in the middle of nowhere! We were headed to the Ironmaster's Mansion and this was just about the only place within 10 miles haha. It has a down to earth, hometown feel to it. The prices were solid. Everything on the menu looked great. The bathrooms out back are a little rundown but classic with character. And there is a window to grab ice-cream outside as well. Stop by and support them if you're driving through beautiful central PA. read more

After seeing all the positive posts we decided to try this place out. First time a Saturday about 5:00 pm. Service was not good. The food was delicious. My kids loved it. We had to go and ask for the check in order to pay it. Second time today at 2:50 pm. Again service was terrible. Waitress seems very harried. Again we had to go find our check to pay. This place is one of the true "Gems" of Adams County, and a must stop for me whenever I'm in the area. To begin with, the Fried Chicken Dinner is the best- huge portions, cooked to order (you can call and order ahead) and juicy and delIcious. The staff, and Master Chef Perry are personable and accommodating. There are often daily lunch and dinner specials (check them out on Facebook) and these are always first rate; if you happen to be there when there's a prime rib special running, you've hit the jackpot! It is melt in your mouth quality. In any other neck of the woods, you'd easily (and happily) pay 2 to 3 times more for this level of cooking and the portion size. I tell anyone visiting Gettysburg or its environs to make the trip out to Bendersville for the Cameo- you'll be so happy that you did. P.S. the place is very kid friendly. We had intentions of going to the Bendersville carnival tonight but they were PACKED and we don't care for people, so we stopped at Cameo. Holy cow it was amazing. It wasn't busy at all, and the service was amazing. I was unsure of ordering the crab cakes because of the price but I'm so glad I did. They were probably one of the best crab cakes I've ever had. My husband got the hot roast beef sandwich and it was piled ridiculously high with roast beef. We were very happy we made the decision to come to Cameo and have a feeling we will start becoming regulars there! read more

On our way from Gettysburg we stopped in here for ice cream my wife got peanut butter swirl and I got black cherry both were very yummy.

We were in Gettysburg for a bike race and decided to give this place a try. We were not sure what to expect and it had been a weekend of disappointing restaurants but this place was not a disappointment at all! There was a ton of food, a decent selection, everything was good, came out fast and the waitresses were super sweet! Our waitress forgot a condiment that I had requested, I never bothered to mention it again, just ate my food. She realized when I was done that she had forgotten it and was so sweet and so apologetic about it. It really wasn't a big deal but her kindness really was appreciated. We would definitely stop here again if we are in the area. read more

A note for newcomers: Cameo's is not a drive-in. It has a dining area. I got the deluxe cheeseburger with onion rings and a peach milkshake. It was good, not amazing. My husband got a patty melt with fries and a strawberry milkshake. The patty melt made him sick, he said it was too greasy. The fries are really good! Service was very friendly, but a bit slow. Our total bill (including a root beer we shared and the tip) was $32, which is a bit much for us to spend on what we got. We didn't hate this place by any means, it has its charms, but we can't justify coming back for $30+ and an upset stomach. read more

After seeing an ad for the Cameo Drive-in yesterday, my husband and I decided to try it out today. What a find!!! The place is not fancy, but the food - omg it was so good. I had fried haddock with fries and coleslaw. My husband went for the daily special - a deluxe cheeseburger also with fries and coleslaw. The fries and fish were fried very crispy. Delicious!! I only ate half of mine, taking the rest home. We each had a dish of ice cream .. they were sublime. I had blueberry cheesecake and my husband had peanut butter cookie dough. Heaven. My favorite place to eat in the area, the owner has become a family friend from us going in there so often. The food is great everything made from scratch. The ice cream is amazing they have countless flavors and combinations to choose from. A great place to take children teenagers and old folks. Definitely worth a visit read more
