Ever since moving to Pacifica and discovering Camelot it's been a great experience every time. I prefer to call in my orders and pick it up in person. The staff is fast and so friendly. They make the best shrimp and chips. Highly recommend! Oh and keep in mind that they only accept cash. read more

The fish is good but the chips (fries) are just so-so. If you get you order to go, double check it. They were generous enough to add 2 orion rings when I went back the next day for the rest of my fish order. Too bad they don't offer package malted vinegar for take out. read more

Upfront: I've never thought of myself as a fish and chips fan. So, the fact I was unimpressed doesn't say much. However, the amount of fish and other goodies I got with my Camelot order was pretty weak. What's not to like, they got fish, they got chips, they got beer. They got a great decor that makes you feel like you are in foggy ole London. The food is authentic and the portion ample. The fish is fresh and well prepared. Not too greasy, but it is deep fried so take that with a grain of salt. It is a small location but never seem to have a problem getting a table. A lot of business but a good half of it seems to be take-out. My only issue .. they are not open 7 days a week. read more

My review unfortunately is only based on this restaurants service as my boyfriend and I didn't get a chance to actually eat! We were doing some shopping and we saw Camelot's Fish n Chips, as we are both big lovers of great fish n chips and we were officially starving we decided to check out their menu. Of course on the walk over from the parking lot I quickly checked their reviews. Reviews were solid, menu looked perfect, place was packed (which is always a great sign), there was a bar! (made his day to think he was about to enjoy a beer and great food all at one little local spot), and I thought it was just a really cute place in general. As we walked in we weren't quite sure wether we needed to wait to be seated as there was no sign, naturally we assumed the waitress would greet us or at the very least acknowledge us... Nope we stood in the doorway looking lost and confused as the waitress laughed and chatted away on her cell phone. After a good 5 minutes standing their like idiots we decided to sit at the LAST and ONLY table. Smiling and excited seeing people eat what looked to be absoluetly delicious dinner we once again patiently waited to be greeted, Given a menu, anything! About 5 minutes later the waitress finally came up to us and with the most unnecessary attitude said "you need to get up, and order at the bar". That was a bit irritating but whatever, we were quite famished at this point... We get up and start looking at the menu and half a second after getting up a few people walked in and sat down right at our table!!! AWESOME! Guess what? She greeted them! Lol I can laugh about it now cause I just had a great meal at London's. However it was a horrible experience. After greeting the guests that totally knowingly took our table the waitress finally asks us "Soo like do you know what you want?" YES BITCH I DO, I WANT TO LEAVE... Being a classy young lady that is just what crossed my mind. My bf and I looked at each other and seeing the anger in his eyes he didn't have to say a word- we turned around and left. Im not one to complain or write bad reviews as I am known to be a bit bitchy myself, but this was just ridiculous and I really had to vent. plus i'm pretty disappointed because I was looking forward to trying this place... This place is pretty good if you cannot get to any other place. You have to ask for crispy fries (ships) or they will be soggy. Fish is good but expensive for the cost. Take out is not advised, fries get soggy as does any of their fried food. It takes a long time to get an order so do not go there starving. read more

I absolutely love this place. This is the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. They have a lot of combo meals to choose from, so you are not stuck to just fish and chips. Last Friday I had the oysters, fish, and chips, and I previously have had the calamari combo as well. The crab cakes are a huge hit with the family as are their scallops. They lightly bread each piece of fish so that it is not over oily. The fish comes out soft and juicy, not dry like some places who over cook it, and it has a delicious crunch to it from that yummy golden batter. This is a small place, with only a few tables inside, and therefore when the line is out the door the wait can stretch to 30 min to get food served at your table. But you can call in your order ahead of time to pick-up. Warning, they are cash only, so do come prepared. But I promise that the inconvenience of cash-only and the possible long wait is well worth it! read more

I'll start my review with the FACT that this place has NO LEMONS!! How do you serve fish and chips without lemon?? Another flaw, 2014 and yet another place that doesn't take cash. Your food must be pretty good if you aren't going to take a credit/debit card. It really wasn't. My fish was super fried and lacked any real flavor. I think a true review must include everything that they offer. I hate the fact that this spot doesn't take visa or debt! It is the year 2008 people. This is why this place can never get five stars. I had a half fish half chicken plate with chips. My girl friend had there combination plate, half fish and half calamari with chips. We also had there jalapeno poppers as a side order. The jalapeno peppers were OK and the chips need to be eaten quickly because they get a little soggy. The fish is really good but I think there calamari was better. The chicken wasn't grease even though it was deep fried. There tater sauce to be honest SUCKS! They don't refrigerate it or there ketchup. I luckily had some tater sauce of my own from the grocery store that tasted better. There interior makes you fell like you are in London. From the paintings to the England style phone booth painted on the bathroom door. They have some newspaper clips up that were written about there restaurant also. I read one of them and it was about how someone drove there car through there front door. The car made is half way through the dining area. When I asked the lady taking my order about it she said it wasn't the first time! I like there food but I don't think I will ever dine in. I just don't want to die for some fish & chips. read more

What makes this casual spot five stars is their staff! There was a young girl working the front and she deserves to be mentioned. She was super sweet and works really hard. Normally I'm not a big fish and chips fan but this place makes me a fan. The first time I ordered from here I got the scallops and chips, with malt vignegar and it was delicious! This last time, I got the shrimp and chips and they were also delicious! The prices are decent for what you get, good portions seafood and lots of fries. Haven't tried this place in at least 15 years cause back then it was BAD. So figured as it had been around for so long perhaps it had improved. NOT. The worse fish & chips I have ever had in my life. Greasy greasy and the grease tasted OLD i.e. it had been used over and over for a long time. The fish had absolutely NO FLAVOR. If I had shut my eyes I could not have guessed what I was eating. Moveover, the WHITE fish was half YELLOWISH on the outside and the fish texture was as if it had been frozen for a while and also was old. I took all the batter off the fish and used the tarter sauce to at least have something to eat for my over $10.00. The tarter sauce was equally BAD. NO FLAVOR, except for a light cheap mayonnaise taste. Apparently Pacificians have very low standards for fish & chips. I'll get a MacDonalds fish filet next time or fish sticks from Safeway. read more

This place is really good for fish and chips. Well, actually, I didn't like the "chips" but that was okay b/c the portion of fish was so big, I could barely finish that. They also have a nice selection of other fried seafood...all reasonably priced.
