Breakfast sandwich was huge

We had a great experience! Delicious breakfast buffet. Nice and timely servers. Light and fluffy beignets! Ambiance was like a quaint southern cafe with local artwork. We will definitely be back! Family owned and operated! Met the owner's dad when we were there and he thanked us for coming.

Finally made it to this restaurant! We went on a Friday night and they had a seafood buffet that included 2 clusters of Dungeness Crab. The service from Dustin was great. He aas super friendly, more like he always knew you, and very attentive. We didn't try everything on the buffet, but we tried the boiled shrimp, which were a really nice size. The fried fish and shrimp were good. The pasta was good. I didn't really like the potato salad, it was sort of bland. The crab cakes were ok...thick but it seem to have more of a batter taste than crab taste. Gumbo was good, had an okra gumbo taste but I didn't see any okra. It was filled with crawfish and shrimp. Yep we will be back to try more off the menu

a variety of food items on display

If you are seriously looking to save money and eat really well like homemade cooking you cannot find a better place to go then Camellia Café. The people running the place are so special and treat you so well and the food is so down-home good you're gonna go back weekly. What else can I say I'm going there right now for the second time today to bring foodHome for dinner.

A Standout Louisiana Brunch…read more We had a family brunch last Sunday, and Palmettos on the Bayou was exceptional. The Sunday Brunch Buffet offered an impressive variety, and everything we tried was delicious, especially the tender ribs, flavorful brisket, and the perfectly chargrilled oysters. The view was unique and right on the bayou, which added a relaxed, scenic backdrop to the meal. With live jazz and a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere, the whole experience felt distinctly Louisiana in the best way. Friendly service, great food, and a beautiful setting made this a brunch we'll gladly return to.

For reference I've had acme, Dragos, superior seafood, New Orleans food and spirits. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly fried with boiled shrimp and a cucumber salad and remolaude on top. WOW! The shrimp were a party in my mouth. The bread pudding was also arguably the best in the area. Slightly firm, but incredibly moist, topped with cream and apple slices. Also, Natalie went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal. We'll go back often and ask for her. I do also appreciate restaurants were it seems there are working together to and sure customers have what they need The only downside was the bar tender didn't offer smiles. She had a very firm and unwelcoming look that didn't seem to go with the rest of the culture.

Everything is made fresh and cooked to order--always hot and full of flavor. In the five years we've lived in Slidell, Louisiana, there hasn't been a single time that the food wasn't absolutely delicious. The fish is perfectly seasoned, and the shrimp always tastes fresh and seasoned just right. Outside of the food, we also come for the sweet tea. I don't know who's making it back there, but it is consistently good every single time. The customer service is another reason we love this place. The ladies are always kind, welcoming, and attentive. They bring your food out to the table, check on you to make sure you have everything you need, and are more than happy to pack your food to-go if you can't finish it. For two people, we typically spend around $55 for the Impeccable Seafood Platter and two drinks--but honestly, it's enough food to feed about four people. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for fresh, flavorful seafood and great service.

The restaurant itself felt a bit chilly near the windows, but the staff was very accommodating and happily moved us to a warmer table. Since it was later in the evening, they were out of a few menu items, but there were still plenty of good alternatives to choose from. I went with the New Orleans style beans and rice topped with a crab cake, which was a solid choice and very enjoyable. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Service was fast, the restaurant was clean and well kept, and even the restrooms stood out for being very clean. Overall, a good visit for New Orleans style food and an easy recommendation if you are in the area.

Copeland's - Slidell…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating and disappointing. I went to Copeland's in Slidell with my daughter. She ordered an espresso martini during happy hour, advertised at $9, and it was ordered creamed (with Baileys). There was no mention of any upcharge with the first drink. When she ordered a second espresso martini, also creamed, the waitress then told us there would be an upcharge, mentioning $1 at the time, which we were fine with. However, when we received the bill, the upcharge was $7.99, nearly the price of the entire drink itself. When we questioned the charge, the waitress said she had told us there would be an upcharge but stated she did not say it would be $1 -- even though that was how we understood it at the time. This led to confusion and an unnecessary back-and-forth that could have been avoided with clear, consistent communication from the start. A manager was involved. She explained that she had recently been promoted and initially seemed unsure about making the decision, but she eventually did make it right. Still, the situation should never have escalated over unclear pricing. Unfortunately, it didn't end there. I took my food and cheesecake home, and on the very first bite of my cheesecake, I found what appeared to be a piece of plastic wrapper inside it. That is a serious food safety concern and completely unacceptable. Between the unclear drink charges, inconsistent communication, and a quality control issue in the kitchen, this visit was a big disappointment. Customers should never be surprised by pricing or worry about food safety. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves staff training and kitchen oversight.

It is tucked into a little strip shopping center with a Pizza Hut and a Jujitsu school. The parking lot is very dark and there is no signage out by the road so it's difficult to see until you are right on top of it. I was watching for it and still missed the first parking lot entrance in the dark and almost went into the ditch. Crisis averted. I made it OK. Inside, the restaurant was spacious and open and it felt a lot bigger than it is. It was not busy, so there was no wait for a table. Wood paneling on the walls, county music playing, it was comfortable inside. The servers were friendly and took my order right away. My food came out quickly and everything was correct. I had an oyster po-boy and it was as good as any I have had around here. It was a little pricey for what I got, but it wasn't overpriced either. The price of oysters fluctuates wildly, so there's no way to really know the price ahead of time unless you call. They had a number of daily specials advertised on various boards around the restaurant. I need to go back sometime to try some of those. Overall, no complaints. Food was good, the place was comfortable, the servers were friendly. Highly recommended. Solid four stars.
