Bargain bin on right.

Ok so a guy is going to review soap so here goes. It works... I cannot name all the names or even the ingredients but its all natural soap and they do a great job. My hair and skin feels clean and not like it just had a layer stripped off. I recommend this place as a great idea for gifts and they also have a seconds bin at a cheaper price (for home). Talk to the lady there (really nice) and ask about the different products and she will hook you up. Seriously, I bought $50 bucks worth, not going back to store bought soap or hair shampoo products if I can help it anytime soon.

I'm 34 years old and have suffered from acne all my life, until I started using camamu's black beauty soap. This stuff is the real deal.

I've never even been to the actual store before but I just had to post a review with how satisfied I am with my Happy Hair Shampoo Bar.

Surprisingly, many locals are unaware of them, which is both a great thing (for loyalists) and shocking (given how incredible the products are). I recently stopped back in Maak Lab to update some of my scents, and I was so thankful that the Dafodyl is still in stock. There is something for everyone here, and you're bound to learn more about what scents work for you. I remember my first experience here in 2021 when I realized I am a "green" scent guy. This has been very helpful in my journey to collect more scents to wear, especially when traveling. You should also have this support! Maak curates dozens of products for notable brands and businesses in Portland. When you stop by here, I guarantee you'll be impressed by the connection to some of your favorite establishments. You can even purchase soaps, scents, candles, and many other products that brands you love to create with Maak. I still enjoy knowing that the Knot Springs soap I love is something I can purchase for home. Support local, and keep returning to the excellent Maak Lab team.

I went with two of my gfs and we had a wonderful time smelling SO many smells, learning about the history of fragrance, and making our own scents! I was pleasantly surprised at how challenging it was to nail the scent I was going for (strawberry pastry lol) and I would absolutely go back again to make something new. If you're considering it, def do it!

I'm back with another review because this place continues to deliver. I had lip blushing done this…read moreyear with Vivian, and previously I've had eyeliner and brows done here as well, all with different artists. Every experience has been consistently excellent. Vivian was incredibly clear and upfront about the lip blushing process, including the fact that it can be more intense than eyeliner or brows. For me, that was true, though I know it varies by person. My first pass healed lighter than I wanted, and at my follow-up Vivian really listened. She made sure I was thoroughly numbed and adjusted the color to a richer shade that I love. She also explained that some lips simply don't retain pigment as easily, which was reassuring and helpful to understand. Healing was easy, and I'm excited to see how the color continues to settle over the next few weeks. What really stands out to me about this studio is how kind, attentive, and thoughtful all of the artists are. One consistent approach I've noticed is that they intentionally go lighter at first, which makes total sense. You can always deepen the color at the follow-up, and it avoids ending up with something too intense. Overall, another great experience and I couldn't be happier with the care and results.

The tattoo looks a bit rushed, and the color doesn't quite match. At my appointment, I was told that most clients are happy after just two sessions, usually needing only needing a touch-up during the second session. However, when I reached out about my concerns, I was informed that I might need up to three sessions. I've seen $400 tattoos that look stunning, but my simple circle around the nipple unfortunately looks uneven and lacks a polished finish. I even mentioned some unevenness during the appointment, and the artist reassured me it was just swelling. Once that went down, it became clear that the unevenness remained. Given the amount I paid and what I was told beforehand, I expected to receive a decently done tattoo with maybe just a little adjustment needed. Instead, I feel like I got a result that falls short, and now I'm uncertain about how many more sessions it might take to get it right.

I did not expect to leave a medspa feeling genuinely appreciated. Perhaps the last place I went to…read morehad bad energy or something of that nature, but I truly felt loved and seen today. I went in for a consultation where I got to share all my aesthetic insecurities. Despite the vulnerability, I felt empowered to make the right decision for me. Further, my decision was treated with respect which made me feel more confident about moving forward. I ended up getting masseter Botox for my TMJ. My injector made me feel comfortable and even provided me with anxiety relief tools. She was precise, patient, and provided wonderful patient care. Unfortunately, my injector is no longer at this business but I'd be willing to see others who are also qualified and experienced. I also appreciate the complementary 2 week follow up because it alleviates any concerns about possible complications.

Very similar review to the average of those here. It is about half and half. The studio is very…read morebeautiful, everyone is nice, but it is overpriced. I have only had Dysport, nothing else and recently went to an equally if not a better location for similar injectables at the Vancouver waterfront and it was a fraction of the price. You can also find Groupons (then cross check their Yelp reviews) for a fraction of that. I usually prefer to do lasers etc when I travel because it is MUCH LESS than of the price for the same treatments in the states, but I usually get Botox at home. Overall the vibes are weird, cons of treatments (other than dangerous) aren't really shared, or alternative options for the look you want are not shared (if not sold here) similar to other reviews. I originally tried Dysport in my massetur muscles in my jaw for tension. It helped of course but I did notice slight jowling after which I found out was correlated/caused from Botox in the jaw from tiktok vids. Needless to say, it isn't addressing the underlying problem and is just a bandaid. My last appointment here, I shared I wanted to look a little lifted and refreshed mostly under my eyes. I had done lasers and microneedling in the past which helped, but was short lived. Now -- more thanks to tiktok -- I probably need to fork over for sculptra or sofwave. This will NOT be fixed by injectables. My nurse told me she could do a little cheek filer and some other filler around my face. Mind you, I'm terrified of filler. Potentially I would want a facelift down the line which I have heard can complicate that process, but mostly I don't like the bloated look, it is often so obvious and then you become blind to it, keep getting it, and look crazy. Especially in the cheeks. I already have full lips so I don't need that. It was sold as if it would even out my face and give more balance, and I thought about it, did trust the nurse, who had great texture but who's own filler was still a tad overdone, making me a little wary. It's not like Botox where it wears off over months. You're getting it "dissolved" or whatever with little lumps lying around forever, so I wanted to take the time to think about it and ended up canceling. I could see others being very pressured and trying at the appointment even though I'm sure this is as overpriced as Botox and it gives you the vibes they're trying to hit a metric. They should give you options--even if they don't offer the treatment--for the result you are looking for.
