In the current world of scammers and con artists, it is a huge relief to know that there is still a dealership in Alberta with integrity, outstanding customer service and long-term employees!!!! It matters!!! This dealership has chosen the best of the best in all departments!!! It is truly a pleasure to deal with the entire team, from sales to financing to service, all has flowed smoothly with every vehicle we have ever purchased!!! Other dealerships out there have so much to learn from Hildebrand Motors!!! Thanks once again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good and Bad. The good is that we have our '85 Chevy motorhome back 'mostly' working; however,…read morewhen you take a vehicle in with a couple of things thought critical and one can not be repaired, you are hit with a bit of frustration. The bad - the excessive cost of repairs, the incomplete jobs and the delay in getting our vehicle back and unable to test it all out with a weekend for a mountain getaway. Winter/Spring camping is not new us but the '85 Chevy was. We budgeted a couple of thousand for possible repairs which included a speedometer not working and the heater only blowing cold air. The heater turned out to be the worst case scenario with the heating core being toast. The speedometer was diagnosed at a cost of $70 as something Hildebrand could not repair. The vehicle was delivered to Hildebrand on a Thursday. The next day they provided the first estimate of just over $2000 for repairs I approved. It was to be ready the following Wednesday. From Monday through Wednesday, I had daily calls with additional repairs recommended. I approved the operationally critical ones and the end bill tallied up. On the Wednesday call, they indicated they were still awaiting the heater core which may be received that aft and may allow completion later that aft. I provided instructions for follow-up. After I indicated displeasure with the service and excessive pricing, further update calls ceased. I made several calls to receive the status. The delay of competed service ended up late Friday aft. , 8 days after our initial delivery of the van. We felt hostage to the business during the time they had it apart and were waiting for something every day. Soon after picking our motorhome up for the drive home, I noted the dash signal light indicators to not be working. They had prior to the repairs being ordered. The front and rear exterior turn light signals were okay. At least there was heat on a cooler Alberta spring day. ... No time to take the motorhome back to get dash lights fixed. The shop was set to close and I was concerned they may need much more time to take the dash apart again and I wished to have a longer road trip to test out any other ailments. Besides - living at a rural location, does not make it convenient to 'just' pop in for some adjustment on some negligent work done. Also, it is a motorhome - not entirely economical on gas for this drive back to the shop. Overall - Not good. ... A two star rating ... something I thought I would never rate a business as.

Disappointing Experience with Poor Transparency, Inspection, and Safety Oversights…read moreMy first review was based off excitement and a smooth buying process until ... ... I recently purchased a truck from this dealership, and my experience has been incredibly frustrating. The truck was supposedly subjected to a "full 180-point inspection," covering critical components like the engine, transmission, suspension, and exhaust system. However, shortly after purchase, I noticed significant transmission issues, including harsh shifting, which should have been caught during this inspection. I was later advised that the issue stems from engine oil leaks caused by the VCT solenoid seals, a problem that's well-known with this model. These issues should have been identified before selling me the truck. To make matters worse, I was never informed about the low tire tread (4/32), and now I've been advised I need new tires soon. The dealership should have flagged this during their supposed "full inspection." Additionally, my husband was double-charged $6,000 for an extended warranty on his truck, and it took us weeks to get a hold of anyone at the dealership to resolve the issue. It was an incredibly stressful process that shouldn't have happened. But the most concerning part? His truck also had a loose steering wheel, a safety hazard that almost caused a serious accident on the highway. This issue was never flagged during the supposed inspection either. After hearing about the truck's "thorough inspection," it's hard to believe no one noticed these major safety issues. To add to my frustration, I took my truck to another dealership for maintenance and was informed that I need to consent to a transmission overhaul just to have techs take pictures of the transmission when it's taken apart and send them to the warranty provider for approval of the repair cost. If the repair cost is not approved, I'll still be left with a $1,900 bill just to put the transmission back together. If the overhaul is not approved, I'll face a $10,000 cost for the transmission repair, despite the issue stemming from the VCT solenoid seals, a problem that should have been caught in the inspection. I feel deceived, especially considering the dealership assured us that the trucks had undergone thorough inspections. These problems, especially the safety hazard in my husband's truck and the transmission issue in mine, should have been identified and addressed before selling us these vehicles. We trusted this dealership to be upfront and transparent, but instead, we've been left dealing with costly repairs and severe safety concerns. For a dealership that claims to provide quality inspections, the oversight of such major issues is inexcusable.

We bought a 2020 ford explorer from them and have had nothing but issue after issue with the SUV since then. And when we needed to get things done it was always a fight even with having coverage on the vehicle. I am NEVER buying a Ford again.

Sorry lots of trouble. Parts for repairs took several weeks to arrive, if at all. Some were just…read morereturned and the customer was forgotten. Never a call back or follow up call. Here is one of lots of issues. I bought this car, still under full warranty and complained from the getgo that the tire pressure is low after filling it up. After some time and topping up two tires with air again and again service checked the situation because they got tired of my complaints. This time the tires were taken off and put in a water bucket. Found out that one tire is damaged there was a big bubble (found out after going elsewhere that it was actually TWO tires that were toast) it was even unsafe to drive this car but yet I was brushed off in regards to this many many times. Anyhow, I thought okay, finally, a solution! I was then presented a bill for $389 for ONE new tire. They did not care that I had this problem from day first. It appears this is just how they do their business. This was my first and last vehicle from that car dealer, absolutely ridiculous Dealership.
