We found everyone we dealt with at Cochrane North Star Ford (Barb Pelkman, Amie Millar, Derrick…read moreRedden as well as the Manager Adeen Bunning and Antoinette who passed the vehicle to us to name a few) extremely friendly, helpful and professional My husband and I would gladly refer this dealership to anyone, as it was a very pleasant experience for us! North Star Ford in Cochrane is unlike any other dealer ship we have dealt with over the past many years!

I purchased a brand new Ford Mustang Mach-E and this has been one of the worst automotive ownership…read moreexperiences of my life. The vehicle has suffered from repeated and dangerous brake system failures. TWICE, brake-related malfunctions caused a loss of control, resulting in an accident. This is not speculation -- this is a serious safety failure. On top of that, my vehicle has been brought to Ford North Star MORE THAN 10 TIMES for the same brake issue, and yet the problem remains unresolved. Each visit results in excuses, resets, or "could not replicate" responses -- while I continue driving an unsafe vehicle. Most recently, the brake/parking system failed again and left the car completely immobilized in my own garage. A brand-new car that cannot move is unacceptable. A brand-new car with recurring brake failures is dangerous. This dealership has had ample opportunity to diagnose and fix the problem and has failed every time. I have lost all confidence in their technical ability, honesty, and accountability. If you value safety, reliability, and real after-sales support, think very carefully before trusting this dealership.

Bought a "certified/inspected" used car from them, in cash, along with their extended warranty…read more Asking about the air conditioning prompted the sales manager (Gary) to come out of his office to berate me on how thoroughly they go over their cars. Well, the AC was dead 3-weeks later. Only managed to get it fixed (at no cost) because I wasn't willing to bend over and feed me their lines of BS, when I know exactly what the problem is! Took almost a month to get my car back, after fighting tooth and nail to at least get a loaner! Well, they screwed the pooch long enough that I missed the birth of my grandson (having no vehicle) and they had it longer than I did! Clearly they're the dealership equivalent of The Eagles, cuz they'll simply take the money and run ***DONT DO IT PEOPLE!!! THERES LITERALLY A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP NEXT DOOR!!!!***

I had a terrific experience at this new location…read more It's ideally located near my home, is new to the community & I was among the first in for service. The greeting was warm & friendly with no wait. Some unexpected repairs were required that also required them to keep my vehicle longer than expected. They went above & beyond in ensuring I was taken care of with regards to being able to get to work. They also accommodated my timing for pick up, which was after the service area closed. They are still working out processes and systems, but I expected that and it didn't inconvenience me at all. As well, the work came in under quote which was a nice surprise. I won't hesitate to rebook when needed.

Terrible experience with these guys! Absolutely do not for any reason bring any of your toys here…read more Bunch of crooks run this place! Just moved to Cochrane and brought my Yamaha Warrior in to replace a leaking fuel line previously diagnosed from a reputable mechanic from Destination Cycle out in Airdrie (I should have just brought it back there). I was initially quoted around $450 from the mechanic out of Mountain Toys just down the street from Bow Ridge to replace the fuel line and complete a general spring service i.e. plugs, filters, fluids, check the brakes.... Those sorts of things. Wayne told me yeah no problem leave it with us we will be right around there and won't do anything that's doesn't need doing. All was good up until this point.... I get a call about a week later. Looks like you could use a battery, and I agree. Let's tack that on.... Another $120 or so +/- gst. I then get a call last Friday. My bike is ready for pickup, so I head down to pick my bike up. Oh and I forgot to mention when I dropped my bike off it was running perfectly with no issues (minus that fuel line leak) I just did the maintenance preventatively. Anyways! They had it stored out back, chatted with one of the guys working out back whom I assume was the mechanic. I asked if the fuel leak was all good and repaired he said oh yeah! Like new again. So I fired it up and started heading home, and about the bottom of the hill heading up toward fireside check engine light came on. Then as I was driving up the hill the bike started to bogging down and then it died halfway up the hill. I pushed it the rest of the way home. When I got home I checked and fluids to make sure they were even changed and they seemed to be but the smell of fuel was very potent and after a while started dripping from beneath my tank again. Leak was not in fact fixed and now the bike had a new check engine light, turn signal didn't work and gas light was also on even though it had lots of fuel. I was away for some days and went back into their shop on the following Tuesday to tell them what had happened, hoping for some accountability. But was met by some rude smug asshole sitting behind a computer, I believe his name was Dane or Dwayne or something like that. He barely acknowledges my existence and he clicked away on the computer and answered phone calls as I spoke with him. Truly one of the least professional people I have ever dealt with in ANY shop I have ever been too. After explaining everything to him he says they could take a look but it would be at my cost and their mechanic costs about $177 an hour. I said excuse me. I brought you a good working bike with a slight fuel leak and I got back a broken bike still with a fuel leak, oh and get this! They charged me $850 for the service and repairs. I figured after the battery it would be around $575 maybe. Anyways lesson learned! Hopefully this will help someone else out before they get scammed like I did. I now have to get a real mechanic to fix whatever it is they messed up causing all these issues. I will NEVER bring any of my toys here and will never support or purchase a single thing from this shop. STAY AWAY!!!! I will tell all my friends and all my family to stay away like the plague! Place is a Joke!!! Run by crooks!

EDITED: PLEASE SEE PHOTO. EQUIFAX LETTER CALLS COCHRANE CHEVROLET "FRAUDULENT", JULY 2022…read more After 1.5 years of struggling to restore my excellent credit record with this evasive, dishonest dealership, Equifax called this company out!!! Cochrane Chevrolet did two credit inquiries without my authorization in March 2021. This further resulted in FOUR unauthorized inquiries total, as they also gave forged documents to two banks. I struggled for over a year to get Cochrane Chevrolet to rescind these inquiries. Manager Rob Dzikewich and bookkeeper Gregory Cyr emailed saying it's done, yet these damaging inquiries remained on my credit report. The only place they could have gotten my signature was when they photocopied my driver's license to allow a test drive. I would never be so ignorant as to sign documents before deciding to purchase a vehicle. Imagine if you visited three different dealerships, and gave authorization at each. Your credit would soon be worthless! I did not purchase anything from them. They offered a test drive in a car with a cracked windshield, and that was the end for me. Their inquiries triggered further credit inquiries from two banks. I called these banks, and learned Cochrane Chevy had forwarded my signature on documents I had never signed. CC has refused to send me anything that shows I signed a credit inquiry authorization. Because I didn't. Equifax never heard from Cochrane Chevy to rescind one of their unauthorized inquiries, and neither had the two banks. After a year, only one of CC's FOUR inquiries had been rescinded, and they ignored my calls and emails. I spent hours trying to repair my credit due to their fraud. CC has been nothing but obstructive, driving my Excellent rating down nearly 100 points with unauthorized inquiries. I read CC's response, which is very evasive. 1. My "input" (evasion) was letting them copy my DL to have a test drive. Notice they cannot claim I signed an authorization. 2. Only one of FOUR unauthorized inquiries has been removed. The other three remained and have drove down my credit. I asked the two banks if they had ever received a request from Cochrane Chevrolet to withdraw their inquiries. They said they had received signed authorizations (who signed them? I didn't), and no further contact from CC requesting to mask their inquiries. Again, the only place CC could have seen my signature was on my DL. 3. My follow ups were ignored. My Equifax was a mess for over a year, due to CC's unauthorized credit inquiries. SEE EQUIFAX LETTER BELOW.
